At illa respondit: Non habeo ancilla tua quidquam in domo mea, nisi parum olei quo ungar.(vulgate) 2 Kings 4:2 Then Elisha saide vnto her, What shall I do for thee? tell mee, what hast thou at home? And he said to her, "There is not one vessel more." Et ille respondit: Non habeo. And he said, "Go, sell the oil and pay your debt, and you and your sons can live on the rest." (nas) 2Ki 4:7 καὶ ἦλθεν καὶ ἀπήγγειλεν τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ εἶπεν Ελισαιε δεῦρο καὶ ἀπόδου τὸ ἔλαιον καὶ ἀποτείσεις τοὺς τόκους σου καὶ σὺ καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου ζήσεσθε ἐν τῷ ἐπιλοίπῳ ἐλαίῳ (lxx) 2Ki 4:7 Venit autem illa, et indicavit homini Dei. And he said, "Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 4:8 ============ 2Ki 4:8 Now there came a day when Elisha passed over to Shunem, where there was a prominent woman, and she persuaded him to eat food. And so it was, as often as he passed by, he turned in there to eat food.(nas) 2Ki 4:8 καὶ ἐγένετο ἡμέρα καὶ διέβη Ελισαιε εἰς Σουμαν καὶ ἐκεῖ γυνὴ μεγάλη καὶ ἐκράτησεν αὐτὸν φαγεῖν ἄρτον καὶ ἐγένετο ἀφ᾽ ἱκανοῦ τοῦ εἰσπορεύεσθαι αὐτὸν ἐξέκλινεν τοῦ ἐκεῖ φαγεῖν (lxx) 2Ki 4:8 Facta est autem quædam dies, et transibat Eliseus per Sunam: erat autem ibi mulier magna, quæ tenuit eum ut comederet panem: cumque frequenter inde transiret, divertebat ad eam ut comederet panem.(vulgate) 2 Kings 4:8 And on a time Elisha came to Shunem, and there a woman of great estimation constrained him to eate bread: and as he passed by, he turned in thither to eate bread.(Geneva) 2Ki 4:8 Und es begab sich zu der Zeit, daß Elisa ging gen Sunem. Daselbst war eine reiche Frau; die hielt ihn, daß er bei ihr aß. Und so oft er daselbst durchzog, kehrte er zu ihr ein und aß bei ihr.(dhs) 2Ki 4:8 Now it happened one day that Elisha went to Shunem, where there was a notable woman, and she persuaded him to eat some food. So it was, as often as he passed by, he would turn in there to eat some food.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 4:9 ============ 2Ki 4:9 She said to her husband, "Behold now, I perceive that this is a holy man of God passing by us continually.(nas) 2Ki 4:9 καὶ εἶπεν ἡ γυνὴ πρὸς τὸν ἄνδρα αὐτῆς ἰδοὺ δὴ ἔγνων ὅτι ἄνθρωπος τοῦ θεοῦ ἅγιος οὗτος διαπορεύεται ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς διὰ παντός (lxx) 2Ki 4:9 Quæ dixit ad virum suum: Animadverto quod vir Dei sanctus est iste, qui transit per nos frequenter.(vulgate) 2 Kings 4:9 And she sayde vnto her husband, Beholde, I know now, that this is an holy man of God that passeth by vs continually.(Geneva) 2Ki 4:9 Und sie sprach zu ihrem Mann: Siehe, ich merke, daß dieser Mann Gottes heilig ist, der immerdar hier durchgeht.(dhs) 2Ki 4:9 And she said to her husband, "Look now, I know that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 4:10 ============ 2Ki 4:10 Please, let us make a little walled upper chamber and let us set a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; and it shall be, when he comes to us, that he can turn in there."(nas) 2Ki 4:10 ποιήσωμεν δὴ αὐτῷ ὑπερῷον τόπον μικρὸν καὶ θῶμεν αὐτῷ ἐκεῖ κλίνην καὶ τράπεζαν καὶ δίφρον καὶ λυχνίαν καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῷ εἰσπορεύεσθαι πρὸς ἡμᾶς καὶ ἐκκλινεῖ ἐκεῖ (lxx) 2Ki 4:10 Faciamus ergo ei cœnaculum parvum, et ponamus ei in eo lectulum, et mensam, et sellam, et candelabrum, ut cum venerit ad nos, maneat ibi.(vulgate) 2 Kings 4:10 Let vs make him a litle chamber, I pray thee, with walles, & let vs set him there a bed, and a table, and a stoole, and a candlesticke, that hee may turne in thither when hee commeth to vs.(Geneva) 2Ki 4:10 Laß uns ihm eine kleine bretterne Kammer oben machen und ein Bett, Tisch, Stuhl und Leuchter hineinsetzen, auf daß er, wenn er zu uns kommt, dahin sich tue.(dhs) 2Ki 4:10 Please, let us make a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 4:11 ============ 2Ki 4:11 One day he came there and turned in to the upper chamber and rested.(nas) 2Ki 4:11 καὶ ἐγένετο ἡμέρα καὶ εἰσῆλθεν ἐκεῖ καὶ ἐξέκλινεν εἰς τὸ ὑπερῷον καὶ ἐκοιμήθη ἐκεῖ (lxx) 2Ki 4:11 Facta est ergo dies quædam, et veniens divertit in cœnaculum, et requievit ibi.(vulgate) 2 Kings 4:11 And on a day, hee came thither and turned into the chamber, and lay therein,(Geneva) 2Ki 4:11 Und es begab sich zu der Zeit, daß er hineinkam und legte sich oben in die Kammer und schlief darin(dhs) 2Ki 4:11 And it happened one day that he came there, and he turned in to the upper room and lay down there.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 4:12 ============ 2Ki 4:12 Then he said to Gehazi his servant, "Call this Shunammite." And when he had called her, she stood before him.(nas) 2Ki 4:12 καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς Γιεζι τὸ παιδάριον αὐτοῦ κάλεσόν μοι τὴν Σωμανῖτιν ταύτην καὶ ἐκάλεσεν αὐτήν καὶ ἔστη ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ (lxx) 2Ki 4:12 Dixitque ad Giezi puerum suum: Voca Sunamitidem istam. Qui cum vocasset eam, et illa stetisset coram eo,(vulgate) 2 Kings 4:12 And sayd to Gehazi his seruant, Call this Shunammite: and when hee called her, she stood before him.(Geneva) 2Ki 4:12 und sprach zu seinem Diener Gehasi: Rufe die Sunamitin! Is there any thing to bee spoken for thee to the King or to the captaine of the hoste? Dixitque Giezi: Ne quæras: filium enim non habet, et vir ejus senex est.(vulgate) 2 Kings 4:14 Againe he sayde, What is then to be done for her? Then Gehazi answered, In deede she hath no sonne, and her husband is olde.(Geneva) 2Ki 4:14 Er sprach: Was ist ihr denn zu tun? When he had called her, she stood in the doorway.(nas) 2Ki 4:15 καὶ ἐκάλεσεν αὐτήν καὶ ἔστη παρὰ τὴν θύραν (lxx) 2Ki 4:15 Præcepit itaque ut vocaret eam: quæ cum vocata fuisset, et stetisset ante ostium,(vulgate) 2 Kings 4:15 Then said he, Cal her; hee called her, and shee stoode in the doore.(Geneva) 2Ki 4:15 Er sprach: Rufe sie! And she said, "No, my lord, O man of God, do not lie to your maidservant."(nas) 2Ki 4:16 καὶ εἶπεν Ελισαιε πρὸς αὐτήν εἰς τὸν καιρὸν τοῦτον ὡς ἡ ὥρα ζῶσα σὺ περιειληφυῖα υἱόν ἡ δὲ εἶπεν μή κύριέ μου μὴ διαψεύσῃ τὴν δούλην σου (lxx) 2Ki 4:16 dixit ad eam: In tempore isto, et in hac eadem hora, si vita comes fuerit, habebis in utero filium. At illa respondit: Noli quæso, domine mi vir Dei, noli mentiri ancillæ tuæ.(vulgate) 2 Kings 4:16 And he said, At this time appointed, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a sonne; she sayd, Oh my Lorde, thou man of God, doe not lye vnto thine handmayd.(Geneva) 2Ki 4:16 Und er sprach: Um diese Zeit über ein Jahr sollst du einen Sohn herzen. Sie sprach: Ach nicht, mein Herr, du Mann Gottes! lüge deiner Magd nicht!(dhs) 2Ki 4:16 Then he said, "About this time next year you shall embrace a son." And she said, "No, my lord. Man of God, do not lie to your maidservant!"(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 4:17 ============ 2Ki 4:17 The woman conceived and bore a son at that season the next year, as Elisha had said to her. (nas) 2Ki 4:17 καὶ ἐν γαστρὶ ἔλαβεν ἡ γυνὴ καὶ ἔτεκεν υἱὸν εἰς τὸν καιρὸν τοῦτον ὡς ἡ ὥρα ζῶσα ὡς ἐλάλησεν πρὸς αὐτὴν Ελισαιε (lxx) 2Ki 4:17 Et concepit mulier, et peperit filium in tempore, et in hora eadem, qua dixerat Eliseus.~(vulgate) 2 Kings 4:17 So the woman conceiued, & bare a sonne at that same season, according to the time of life, that Elisha had sayd vnto her.(Geneva) 2Ki 4:17 Und die Frau ward schwanger und gebar einen Sohn um dieselbe Zeit über ein Jahr, wie ihr Elisa geredet hatte.(dhs) 2Ki 4:17 But the woman conceived, and bore a son when the appointed time had come, of which Elisha had told her.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 4:18 ============ 2Ki 4:18 When the child was grown, the day came that he went out to his father to the reapers.(nas) 2Ki 4:18 καὶ ἡδρύνθη τὸ παιδάριον καὶ ἐγένετο ἡνίκα ἐξῆλθεν τὸ παιδάριον πρὸς τὸν πατέρα αὐτοῦ πρὸς τοὺς θερίζοντας (lxx) 2Ki 4:18 Crevit autem puer: et cum esset quædam dies, et egressus isset ad patrem suum, ad messores,(vulgate) 2 Kings 4:18 And when the childe was growen, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father, and to the reapers.(Geneva) 2Ki 4:18 Da aber das Kind groß ward, begab sich's, daß es hinaus zu seinem Vater zu den Schnittern ging(dhs) 2Ki 4:18 And the child grew. And he said to his servant, "Carry him to his mother."(nas) 2Ki 4:19 καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς τὸν πατέρα αὐτοῦ τὴν κεφαλήν μου τὴν κεφαλήν μου καὶ εἶπεν τῷ παιδαρίῳ ἆρον αὐτὸν πρὸς τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ (lxx) 2Ki 4:19 ait patri suo: Caput meum doleo, caput meum doleo. At ille dixit puero: Tolle, et duc eum ad matrem suam.(vulgate) 2 Kings 4:19 And he sayde to his father, Mine head, mine head. Who sayd to his seruant, Beare him to his mother.(Geneva) 2Ki 4:19 und sprach zu seinem Vater: O mein Haupt, mein Haupt!
