So I had made preparations to build it.(nas) 1Ch 28:2 καὶ ἔστη Δαυιδ ἐν μέσῳ τῆς ἐκκλησίας καὶ εἶπεν ἀκούσατέ μου ἀδελφοὶ καὶ λαός μου ἐμοὶ ἐγένετο ἐπὶ καρδίαν οἰκοδομῆσαι οἶκον ἀναπαύσεως τῆς κιβωτοῦ διαθήκης κυρίου καὶ στάσιν ποδῶν κυρίου ἡμῶν καὶ ἡτοίμασα τὰ εἰς τὴν κατασκήνωσιν ἐπιτήδεια (lxx) 1Ch 28:2 Cumque surrexisset rex, et stetisset, ait: Audite me, fratres mei et populus meus: cogitavi ut ædificarem domum, in qua requiesceret arca fœderis Domini, et scabellum pedum Dei nostri: et ad ædificandum, omnia præparavi.(vulgate) 1 Chronicles 28:2 And King Dauid stoode vp vpon his feete; and saide, Heare ye me, my brethren and my people: I purposed to haue buylt an house of rest for the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, and for a footestoole of our God, and haue made ready for the building,(Geneva) 1Ch 28:2 Und David, der König, stand auf und sprach: Höret mir zu, meine Brüder und mein Volk! Ich hatte mir vorgenommen, ein Haus zu bauen, da ruhen sollte die Lade des Bundes des HERRN und der Schemel seiner Füße unsres Gottes, und hatte mich geschickt, zu bauen.(dhs) 1Ch 28:2 Then King David rose to his feet and said, "Hear me, my brethren and my people: I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations to build it.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:3 ============ 1Ch 28:3 But God said to me, 'You shall not build a house for My name because you are a man of war and have shed blood.'(nas) 1Ch 28:3 καὶ ὁ θεὸς εἶπεν οὐκ οἰκοδομήσεις ἐμοὶ οἶκον τοῦ ἐπονομάσαι τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ ὅτι ἄνθρωπος πολεμιστὴς εἶ σὺ καὶ αἵματα ἐξέχεας (lxx) 1Ch 28:3 Deus autem dixit mihi: Non ædificabis domum nomini meo, eo quod sis vir bellator, et sanguinem fuderis.(vulgate) 1 Chronicles 28:3 But God sayde vnto me, Thou shalt not buylde an house for my Name, because thou hast bene a man of warre, and hast shed blood.(Geneva) 1Ch 28:3 Aber Gott ließ mir sagen: Du sollst meinem Namen kein Haus bauen; denn du bist ein Kriegsmann und hast Blut vergossen.(dhs) 1Ch 28:3 But God said to me, 'You shall not build a house for My name, because you have been a man of war and have shed blood.'(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:4 ============ 1Ch 28:4 Yet, the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me from all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever. For He has chosen Judah to be a leader; and in the house of Judah, my father's house, and among the sons of my father He took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.(nas) 1Ch 28:4 καὶ ἐξελέξατο κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἐν ἐμοὶ ἀπὸ παντὸς οἴκου πατρός μου εἶναι βασιλέα ἐπὶ Ισραηλ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ ἐν Ιουδα ᾑρέτικεν τὸ βασίλειον καὶ ἐξ οἴκου Ιουδα τὸν οἶκον τοῦ πατρός μου καὶ ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς τοῦ πατρός μου ἐν ἐμοὶ ἠθέλησεν τοῦ γενέσθαι με βασιλέα ἐπὶ τῷ παντὶ Ισραηλ (lxx) 1Ch 28:4 Sed elegit Dominus Deus Israël me de universa domo patris mei, ut essem rex super Israël in sempiternum: de Juda enim elegit principes: porro de domo Juda, domum patris mei, et de filiis patris mei placuit ei ut me eligeret regem super cunctum Israël.(vulgate) 1 Chronicles 28:4 Yet as the Lord God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father, to be King ouer Israel for euer (for in Iudah woulde he chuse a prince, & of the house of Iudah is the house of my father, & among the sonnes of my father he delited in me to make me King ouer all Israel)(Geneva) 1Ch 28:4 Nun hat der HERR, der Gott Israel, mich erwählt aus meines Vaters ganzem Hause, daß ich König über Israel sein sollte ewiglich. Denn er hat Juda erwählt zum Fürstentum, und im Hause Juda meines Vaters Haus, und unter meines Vaters Kindern hat er Gefallen gehabt an mir, daß er mich über ganz Israel zum König machte.(dhs) 1Ch 28:4 However the Lord God of Israel chose me above all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever, for He has chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father, and among the sons of my father, He was pleased with me to make me king over all Israel.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:5 ============ 1Ch 28:5 Of all my sons (for the Lord has given me many sons), He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.(nas) 1Ch 28:5 καὶ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν υἱῶν μου ὅτι πολλοὺς υἱοὺς ἔδωκέν μοι κύριος ἐξελέξατο ἐν Σαλωμων τῷ υἱῷ μου καθίσαι αὐτὸν ἐπὶ θρόνου βασιλείας κυρίου ἐπὶ τὸν Ισραηλ (lxx) 1Ch 28:5 Sed et de filiis meis (filios enim mihi multos dedit Dominus) elegit Salomonem filium meum ut sederet in throno regni Domini super Israël,(vulgate) 1 Chronicles 28:5 So of all my sonnes (for the Lord hath giuen me many sonnes) he hath euen chosen Salomon my sonne to sit vpo the throne of the kingdome of the Lord ouer Israel.(Geneva) 1Ch 28:5 Und unter allen seinen Söhnen (denn der HERR hat mir viele Söhne gegeben) hat er meinen Sohn Salomo erwählt, daß er sitzen soll auf dem Stuhl des Königreichs des Herrn über Israel,(dhs) 1Ch 28:5 And of all my sons (for the Lord has given me many sons) He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:6 ============ 1Ch 28:6 He said to me, 'Your son Solomon is the one who shall build My house and My courts; for I have chosen him to be a son to Me, and I will be a father to him.(nas) 1Ch 28:6 καὶ εἶπέν μοι ὁ θεός Σαλωμων ὁ υἱός σου οἰκοδομήσει τὸν οἶκόν μου καὶ τὴν αὐλήν μου ὅτι ᾑρέτικα ἐν αὐτῷ εἶναί μου υἱόν κἀγὼ ἔσομαι αὐτῷ εἰς πατέρα (lxx) 1Ch 28:6 dixitque mihi: Salomon filius tuus ædificabit domum meam, et atria mea: ipsum enim elegi mihi in filium, et ego ero ei in patrem.(vulgate) 1 Chronicles 28:6 And he sayd vnto me, Salomon thy sonne, he shall build mine house and my courtes: for I haue chosen him to be my sonne, and I will be his father.(Geneva) 1Ch 28:6 und hat zu mir geredet: Dein Sohn Salomo soll mein Haus und meine Vorhöfe bauen; denn ich habe ihn erwählt zum Sohn, und ich will sein Vater sein(dhs) 1Ch 28:6 Now He said to me, 'It is your son Solomon who shall build My house and My courts; for I have chosen him to be My son, and I will be his Father.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:7 ============ 1Ch 28:7 I will establish his kingdom forever if he resolutely performs My commandments and My ordinances, as is done now.'(nas) 1Ch 28:7 καὶ κατορθώσω τὴν βασιλείαν αὐτοῦ ἕως αἰῶνος ἐὰν ἰσχύσῃ τοῦ φυλάξασθαι τὰς ἐντολάς μου καὶ τὰ κρίματά μου ὡς ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη (lxx) 1Ch 28:7 Et firmabo regnum ejus usque in æternum, si perseveraverit facere præcepta mea et judicia, sicut et hodie.(vulgate) 1 Chronicles 28:7 I will stablish therefore his kingdome for euer, if he endeuour himselfe to do my commandements, and my iudgements, as this day.(Geneva) 1Ch 28:7 und will sein Königreich bestätigen ewiglich, so er wird anhalten, daß er tue nach meinen Geboten und Rechten, wie es heute steht.(dhs) 1Ch 28:7 Moreover I will establish his kingdom forever, if he is steadfast to observe My commandments and My judgments, as it is this day.'(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:8 ============ 1Ch 28:8 So now, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God, observe and seek after all the commandments of the Lord your God so that you may possess the good land and bequeath it to your sons after you forever.(nas) 1Ch 28:8 καὶ νῦν κατὰ πρόσωπον πάσης ἐκκλησίας κυρίου καὶ ἐν ὠσὶν θεοῦ ἡμῶν φυλάξασθε καὶ ζητήσατε πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν ἵνα κληρονομήσητε τὴν γῆν τὴν ἀγαθὴν καὶ κατακληρονομήσητε τοῖς υἱοῖς ὑμῶν μεθ᾽ ὑμᾶς ἕως αἰῶνος (lxx) 1Ch 28:8 Nunc ergo coram universo cœtu Israël audiente Deo nostro, custodite, et perquirite cuncta mandata Domini Dei nostri: ut possideatis terram bonam, et relinquatis eam filiis vestris post vos usque in sempiternum.(vulgate) 1 Chronicles 28:8 Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the Congregation of the Lorde, and in the audience of our God, keepe and seeke for all the commandements of the Lord your God, that ye may possesse this good lande, and leaue it for an inheritance for your children after you for euer.(Geneva) 1Ch 28:8 Nun vor dem ganzen Israel, der Gemeinde des HERRN, und vor den Ohren unseres Gottes: So haltet und sucht alle die Gebote des HERRN, eures Gottes, auf daß ihr besitzet das gute Land und es vererbt auf eure Kinder nach euch ewiglich.(dhs) 1Ch 28:8 Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God, be careful to seek out all the commandments of the Lord your God, that you may possess this good land, and leave it as an inheritance for your children after you forever.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:9 ============ 1Ch 28:9 "As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.(nas) 1Ch 28:9 καὶ νῦν Σαλωμων υἱέ μου γνῶθι τὸν θεὸν τῶν πατέρων σου καὶ δούλευε αὐτῷ ἐν καρδίᾳ τελείᾳ καὶ ψυχῇ θελούσῃ ὅτι πάσας καρδίας ἐτάζει κύριος καὶ πᾶν ἐνθύμημα γιγνώσκει ἐὰν ζητήσῃς αὐτόν εὑρεθήσεταί σοι καὶ ἐὰν καταλείψῃς αὐτόν καταλείψει σε εἰς τέλος (lxx) 1Ch 28:9 Tu autem, Salomon fili mi, scito Deum patris tui, et servito ei corde perfecto, animo voluntario: omnia enim corda scrutatur Dominus, et universas mentium cogitationes intelligit. Si quæsieris eum, invenies: si autem dereliqueris eum, projiciet te in æternum.(vulgate) 1 Chronicles 28:9 And thou, Salomon my sonne, know thou the God of thy father, and serue him with a perfit heart, and with a willing minde: For the Lorde searcheth all hearts, and vnderstandeth all the imaginations of thoughts: if thou seeke him, he will be found of thee, but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for euer.(Geneva) 1Ch 28:9 Und du, mein Sohn Salomo, erkenne den Gott deines Vaters und diene ihm mit ganzem Herzen und mit williger Seele. Denn der HERR sucht alle Herzen und versteht aller Gedanken Dichten. Wirst du ihn suchen, so wirst du ihn finden; wirst du ihn aber verlassen, so wird er dich verwerfen ewiglich.(dhs) 1Ch 28:9 "As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:10 ============ 1Ch 28:10 Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be courageous and act."(nas) 1Ch 28:10 ἰδὲ τοίνυν ὅτι κύριος ᾑρέτικέν σε οἰκοδομῆσαι αὐτῷ οἶκον εἰς ἁγίασμα ἴσχυε καὶ ποίει (lxx) 1Ch 28:10 Nunc ergo quia elegit te Dominus ut ædificares domum sanctuarii, confortare, et perfice.~(vulgate) 1 Chronicles 28:10 Take heede now, for the Lord hath chosen thee to buylde the house of the Sanctuarie: be strong therefore, and doe it.(Geneva) 1Ch 28:10 So siehe nun zu; denn der HERR hat dich erwählt, daß du sein Haus baust zum Heiligtum. Sei getrost und mache es!(dhs) 1Ch 28:10 Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it."(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:11 ============ 1Ch 28:11 Then David gave to his son Solomon the plan of the porch of the temple, its buildings, its storehouses, its upper rooms, its inner rooms and the room for the mercy seat;(nas) 1Ch 28:11 καὶ ἔδωκεν Δαυιδ Σαλωμων τῷ υἱῷ αὐτοῦ τὸ παράδειγμα τοῦ ναοῦ καὶ τῶν οἴκων αὐτοῦ καὶ τῶν ζακχω αὐτοῦ καὶ τῶν ὑπερῴων καὶ τῶν ἀποθηκῶν τῶν ἐσωτέρων καὶ τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ ἐξιλασμοῦ (lxx) 1Ch 28:11 Dedit autem David Salomoni filio suo descriptionem porticus, et templi, et cellariorum, et cœnaculi, et cubiculorum in adytis, et domus propitiationis,(vulgate) 1 Chronicles 28:11 Then Dauid gaue to Salomon his sonne the paterne of the porch and of the houses thereof, and of the closets thereof, and of the galleries thereof, and of the chambers thereof that are within, and of the house of the mercieseate,(Geneva) 1Ch 28:11 Und David gab seinem Sohn Salomo ein Vorbild der Halle des Tempels und seiner Häuser und der Gemächer und Söller und Kammern inwendig und des Hauses Gnadenstuhls,(dhs) 1Ch 28:11 Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the vestibule, its houses, its treasuries, its upper chambers, its inner chambers, and the place of the mercy seat;(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:12 ============ 1Ch 28:12 and the plan of all that he had in mind, for the courts of the house of the Lord, and for all the surrounding rooms, for the storehouses of the house of God and for the storehouses of the dedicated things;(nas) 1Ch 28:12 καὶ τὸ παράδειγμα ὃ εἶχεν ἐν πνεύματι αὐτοῦ τῶν αὐλῶν οἴκου κυρίου καὶ πάντων τῶν παστοφορίων τῶν κύκλῳ τῶν εἰς τὰς ἀποθήκας οἴκου κυρίου καὶ τῶν ἀποθηκῶν τῶν ἁγίων (lxx) 1Ch 28:12 necnon et omnium quæ cogitaverat atriorum et exedrarum per circuitum in thesauros domus Domini, et in thesauros sanctorum,(vulgate) 1 Chronicles 28:12 And the paterne of all that he had in his minde for the courtes of the house of the Lorde, and for all the chambers round about, for the treasures of the house of God, and for the treasures of the dedicate things,(Geneva) 1Ch 28:12 dazu Vorbilder alles dessen, was bei ihm in seinem Gemüt war, nämlich die Vorhöfe am Hause des HERRN und aller Gemächer umher für die Schätze im Hause Gottes und für die Schätze des Geheiligten,(dhs) 1Ch 28:12 and the plans for all that he had by the Spirit, of the courts of the house of the Lord, of all the chambers all around, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries for the dedicated things;(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:13 ============ 1Ch 28:13 also for the divisions of the priests and the Levites and for all the work of the service of the house of the Lord and for all the utensils of service in the house of the Lord;(nas) 1Ch 28:13 καὶ τῶν καταλυμάτων τῶν ἐφημεριῶν τῶν ἱερέων καὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν εἰς πᾶσαν ἐργασίαν λειτουργίας οἴκου κυρίου καὶ τῶν ἀποθηκῶν τῶν λειτουργησίμων σκευῶν τῆς λατρείας οἴκου κυρίου (lxx) 1Ch 28:13 divisionumque sacerdotalium et Leviticarum, in omnia opera domus Domini, et in universa vasa ministerii templi Domini.(vulgate) 1 Chronicles 28:13 And for the courses of the Priestes, and of the Leuites, and for all the woorke for the seruice of the house of the Lorde, and for all the vessels of the ministerie of the house of the Lord.(Geneva) 1Ch 28:13 und der Ordnungen der Priester und Leviten, und aller Geschäfte und Geräte der Ämter im Hause des HERRN,(dhs) 1Ch 28:13 also for the division of the priests and the Levites, for all the work of the service of the house of the Lord, and for all the articles of service in the house of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:14 ============ 1Ch 28:14 for the golden utensils, the weight of gold for all utensils for every kind of service; for the silver utensils, the weight of silver for all utensils for every kind of service;(nas) 1Ch 28:14 καὶ τὸν σταθμὸν τῆς ὁλκῆς αὐτῶν τῶν τε χρυσῶν καὶ ἀργυρῶν (lxx) 1Ch 28:14 Aurum in pondere per singula vasa ministerii.
