So who am I, that I should build a house for Him, except to burn incense before Him?(nas) 2Ch 2:6 καὶ νῦν ἀπόστειλόν μοι ἄνδρα σοφὸν καὶ εἰδότα τοῦ ποιῆσαι ἐν τῷ χρυσίῳ καὶ ἐν τῷ ἀργυρίῳ καὶ ἐν τῷ χαλκῷ καὶ ἐν τῷ σιδήρῳ καὶ ἐν τῇ πορφύρᾳ καὶ ἐν τῷ κοκκίνῳ καὶ ἐν τῇ ὑακίνθῳ καὶ ἐπιστάμενον γλύψαι γλυφὴν μετὰ τῶν σοφῶν τῶν μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἐν Ιουδα καὶ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ὧν ἡτοίμασεν Δαυιδ ὁ πατήρ μου (lxx) 2Ch 2:6 Quis ergo poterit prævalere, ut ædificet ei dignam domum? si cælum, et cæli cælorum, capere eum nequeunt, quantus ego sum, ut possim ædificare ei domum? sed ad hoc tantum, ut adoleatur incensum coram illo.(vulgate) 2 Chronicles 2:6 Who is he then that can be able to buylde him an house, when the heauen, & the heauen of heauens can not conteine him? who am I then that I should buylde him an house? but I do it to burne incense before him.(Geneva) 2Ch 2:6 Aber wer vermag's, daß er ihm ein Haus baue? denn der Himmel und aller Himmel Himmel können ihn nicht fassen. Wer sollte ich denn sein, daß ich ihm ein Haus baute? es sei denn um vor ihm zu räuchern.(dhs) 2Ch 2:6 But who is able to build Him a temple, since heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain Him? Who am I then, that I should build Him a temple, except to burn sacrifice before Him?(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 2:7 ============ 2Ch 2:7 Now send me a skilled man to work in gold, silver, brass and iron, and in purple, crimson and violet fabrics, and who knows how to make engravings, to work with the skilled men whom I have in Judah and Jerusalem, whom David my father provided.(nas) 2Ch 2:7 καὶ ἀπόστειλόν μοι ξύλα κέδρινα καὶ ἀρκεύθινα καὶ πεύκινα ἐκ τοῦ Λιβάνου ὅτι ἐγὼ οἶδα ὡς οἱ δοῦλοί σου οἴδασιν κόπτειν ξύλα ἐκ τοῦ Λιβάνου καὶ ἰδοὺ οἱ παῖδές σου μετὰ τῶν παίδων μου (lxx) 2Ch 2:7 Mitte ergo mihi virum eruditum, qui noverit operari in auro, et argento, ære, et ferro, purpura, coccino, et hyacintho: et qui sciat sculpere cælaturas cum his artificibus quos mecum habeo in Judæa, et Jerusalem, quos præparavit David pater meus.(vulgate) 2 Chronicles 2:7 Sende me nowe therefore a cunning man that can worke in golde, in siluer, & in brasse, and in yron, & in purple, and crimosin & blue silke, & that can graue in grauen worke with the cunning men that are with me in Iudah & in Ierusalem, whom Dauid my father hath prepared.(Geneva) 2Ch 2:7 So sende mir nun einen weisen Mann, zu arbeiten mit Gold, Silber, Erz, Eisen, rotem Purpur, Scharlach und blauem Purpur und der da wisse einzugraben mit den Weisen, die bei mir sind in Juda und Jerusalem, welche mein Vater David bestellt hat.(dhs) 2Ch 2:7 Therefore send me at once a man skillful to work in gold and silver, in bronze and iron, in purple and crimson and blue, who has skill to engrave with the skillful men who are with me in Judah and Jerusalem, whom David my father provided.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 2:8 ============ 2Ch 2:8 Send me also cedar, cypress and algum timber from Lebanon, for I know that your servants know how to cut timber of Lebanon; and indeed my servants will work with your servants,(nas) 2Ch 2:8 πορεύσονται ἑτοιμάσαι μοι ξύλα εἰς πλῆθος ὅτι ὁ οἶκος ὃν ἐγὼ οἰκοδομῶ μέγας καὶ ἔνδοξος (lxx) 2Ch 2:8 Sed et ligna cedrina mitte mihi, et arceuthina, et pinea de Libano: scio enim quod servi tui noverint cædere ligna de Libano: et erunt servi mei cum servis tuis,(vulgate) 2 Chronicles 2:8 Sende mee also cedar trees, firre trees and Algummim trees from Lebanon: for I knowe that thy seruants can skill to hewe timber in Lebanon: and beholde, my seruantes shalbe with thine,(Geneva) 2Ch 2:8 Und sende mir Zedern-,Tannen-und Sandelholz vom Libanon; denn ich weiß, daß deine Knechte das Holz zu hauen wissen auf dem Libanon. Und siehe, meine Knechte sollen mit deinen Knechten sein,(dhs) 2Ch 2:8 Also send me cedar and cypress and algum logs from Lebanon, for I know that your servants have skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and indeed my servants will be with your servants,(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 2:9 ============ 2Ch 2:9 to prepare timber in abundance for me, for the house which I am about to build will be great and wonderful.(nas) 2Ch 2:9 καὶ ἰδοὺ τοῖς ἐργαζομένοις τοῖς κόπτουσιν ξύλα εἰς βρώματα δέδωκα σῖτον εἰς δόματα τοῖς παισίν σου κόρων εἴκοσι χιλιάδας καὶ κριθῶν κόρων εἴκοσι χιλιάδας καὶ οἴνου μέτρων εἴκοσι χιλιάδας καὶ ἐλαίου μέτρων εἴκοσι χιλιάδας (lxx) 2Ch 2:9 ut parentur mihi ligna plurima. (nas) 2Ch 2:10 καὶ εἶπεν Χιραμ βασιλεὺς Τύρου ἐν γραφῇ καὶ ἀπέστειλεν πρὸς Σαλωμων ἐν τῷ ἀγαπῆσαι κύριον τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ ἔδωκέν σε ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς εἰς βασιλέα (lxx) 2Ch 2:10 Præterea operariis qui cæsuri sunt ligna, servis tuis, dabo in cibaria tritici coros viginti millia, et hordei coros totidem, et vini viginti millia metretas, olei quoque sata viginti millia.~(vulgate) 2 Chronicles 2:10 And behold, I will giue to thy seruants the cutters & the hewers of timber twentie thousand measures of beaten wheate, & twentie thousand measures of barley, & twentie thousand baths of wine, and twentie continued, "Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who has made heaven and earth, who has given King David a wise son, endowed with discretion and understanding, who will build a house for the Lord and a royal palace for himself.(nas) 2Ch 2:12 καὶ νῦν ἀπέσταλκά σοι ἄνδρα σοφὸν καὶ εἰδότα σύνεσιν τὸν Χιραμ τὸν πατέρα μου (lxx) 2Ch 2:12 Et addidit, dicens: Benedictus Dominus Deus Israël, qui fecit cælum et terram: qui dedit David regi filium sapientem et eruditum et sensatum atque prudentem, ut ædificaret domum Domino, et palatium sibi.(vulgate) 2 Chronicles 2:12 Huram sayd moreouer, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, which made the heauen and the earth, and that hath giuen vnto Dauid the King a wise sonne, that hath discretion, prudence and vnderstanding to buylde an house for the Lorde, σιδήρῳ ἐν λίθοις καὶ ξύλοις καὶ ὑφαίνειν ἐν τῇ πορφύρᾳ καὶ ἐν τῇ ὑακίνθῳ καὶ ἐν τῇ βύσσῳ καὶ ἐν τῷ κοκκίνῳ καὶ γλύψαι γλυφὰς καὶ διανοεῖσθαι πᾶσαν διανόησιν ὅσα ἂν δῷς αὐτῷ μετὰ τῶν σοφῶν σου καὶ and wood, and in purple, violet, linen and crimson fabrics, and who knows how to make all kinds of engravings and to execute any design which may be assigned to him, to work with your skilled men and 2:16 Nos autem cædemus ligna de Libano, quot necessaria habueris, et applicabimus ea ratibus per mare in Joppe: tuum autem erit transferre ea in Jerusalem.(vulgate) 2 Chronicles 2:16 And we wil cut
