"(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 12:6 ============ 2Ch 12:6 So the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said, "The Lord is righteous."(nas) 2Ch 12:6 καὶ ᾐσχύνθησαν οἱ ἄρχοντες Ισραηλ καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ εἶπαν δίκαιος ὁ κύριος (lxx) 2Ch 12:6 Consternatique principes Israël et rex, dixerunt: Justus est Dominus.(vulgate) 2 Chronicles 12:6 Then the princes of Israel, & the King humbled themselues, and sayde, The Lord is iust.(Geneva) 2Ch 12:6 Da demütigten sich die Obersten in Israel mit dem König und sprachen: Der HERR ist gerecht.(dhs) 2Ch 12:6 So the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, "The Lord is righteous."(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 12:7 ============ 2Ch 12:7 When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah, saying, "They have humbled themselves so I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some measure of deliverance, and My wrath shall not be poured out on Jerusalem by means of Shishak.(nas) 2Ch 12:7 καὶ ἐν τῷ ἰδεῖν κύριον ὅτι ἐνετράπησαν καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Σαμαιαν λέγων ἐνετράπησαν οὐ καταφθερῶ αὐτούς καὶ δώσω αὐτοὺς ὡς μικρὸν εἰς σωτηρίαν καὶ οὐ μὴ στάξῃ ὁ θυμός μου ἐν Ιερουσαλημ (lxx) 2Ch 12:7 Cumque vidisset Dominus quod humiliati essent, factus est sermo Domini ad Semeiam, dicens: Quia humiliati sunt, non disperdam eos, daboque eis pauxillum auxilii, et non stillabit furor meus super Jerusalem per manum Sesac.(vulgate) 2 Chronicles 12:7 And when the Lorde sawe that they humbled themselues, the worde of the Lord came to Shemaiah, saying, They haue humbled theselues, therefore I will not destroy them, but I will sende them deliuerance shortly, and my wrath shall not bee powred out vpon Ierusalem by the hand of Shishak.(Geneva) 2Ch 12:7 Als aber der HERR sah, daß sie sich demütigten, kam das Wort des HERRN zu Semaja und sprach: Sie haben sich gedemütigt; darum will ich sie nicht verderben, sondern ich will ihnen ein wenig Errettung geben, daß mein Grimm nicht triefe auf Jerusalem durch Sisak.(dhs) 2Ch 12:7 Now when the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah, saying, "They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance. He took everything; he even took the golden shields which Solomon had made.(nas) 2Ch 12:9 καὶ ἀνέβη Σουσακιμ βασιλεὺς Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἔλαβεν τοὺς θησαυροὺς τοὺς ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου καὶ τοὺς θησαυροὺς τοὺς ἐν οἴκῳ τοῦ βασιλέως τὰ πάντα ἔλαβεν καὶ ἔλαβεν τοὺς θυρεοὺς τοὺς χρυσοῦς οὓς ἐποίησεν Σαλωμων (lxx) 2Ch 12:9 Recessit itaque Sesac rex Ægypti ab Jerusalem, sublatis thesauris domus Domini et domus regis: omniaque secum tulit, et clypeos aureos quos fecerat Salomon:(vulgate) 2 Chronicles 12:9 Then Shishak King of Egypt came vp against Ierusalem, and tooke the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the Kings house he tooke euen all, and hee caried away the shields of golde, which Salomon had made.(Geneva) 2Ch 12:9 Also zog Sisak, der König in Ägypten, herauf gen Jerusalem und nahm die Schätze im Hause des HERRN und die Schätze im Hause des Königs und nahm alles weg und nahm auch die goldenen Schilde, die Salomo machen ließ.(dhs) 2Ch 12:9 So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the king's house; he took everything. He also carried away the gold shields which Solomon had made.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 12:10 ============ 2Ch 12:10 Then King Rehoboam made shields of bronze in their place and committed them to the care of the commanders of the guard who guarded the door of the king's house.(nas) 2Ch 12:10 καὶ ἐποίησεν Ροβοαμ θυρεοὺς χαλκοῦς ἀντ᾽ αὐτῶν καὶ κατέστησεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν Σουσακιμ ἄρχοντας παρατρεχόντων τοὺς φυλάσσοντας τὸν πυλῶνα τοῦ βασιλέως (lxx) 2Ch 12:10 pro quibus fecit rex æneos, et tradidit illos principibus scutariorum, qui custodiebant vestibulum palatii.(vulgate) 2 Chronicles 12:10 In stead whereof King Rehoboam made shieldes of brasse, and committed them to the handes of the chiefe of the garde, that wayted at the doore of the Kings house.(Geneva) 2Ch 12:10 An deren Statt ließ der König Rehabeam eherne Schilde machen und befahl sie den Obersten der Trabanten, die an der Tür des Königshauses hüteten.(dhs) 2Ch 12:10 Then King Rehoboam made bronze shields in their place, and committed them to the hands of the captains of the guard, who guarded the doorway of the king's house.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 12:11 ============ 2Ch 12:11 As often as the king entered the house of the Lord, the guards came and carried them and then brought them back into the guards' room.(nas) 2Ch 12:11 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ εἰσελθεῖν τὸν βασιλέα εἰς οἶκον κυρίου εἰσεπορεύοντο οἱ φυλάσσοντες καὶ οἱ παρατρέχοντες καὶ οἱ ἐπιστρέφοντες εἰς ἀπάντησιν τῶν παρατρεχόντων (lxx) 2Ch 12:11 Cumque introiret rex domum Domini, veniebant scutarii et tollebant eos, iterumque referebant eos ad armamentarium suum.(vulgate) 2 Chronicles 12:11 And when the King entred into the house of the Lorde, the garde came and bare them and brought them againe vnto the garde chamber.(Geneva) 2Ch 12:11 Und so oft der König in des HERRN Haus ging, kamen die Trabanten und trugen sie und brachten sie wieder in der Trabanten Kammer.(dhs) 2Ch 12:11 And whenever the king entered the house of the Lord, the guard would go and bring them out; then they would take them back into the guardroom.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 12:12 ============ 2Ch 12:12 And when he humbled himself, the anger of the Lord turned away from him, so as not to destroy him completely; and also conditions were good in Judah.(nas) 2Ch 12:12 καὶ ἐν τῷ ἐντραπῆναι αὐτὸν ἀπεστράφη ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ ὀργὴ κυρίου καὶ οὐκ εἰς καταφθορὰν εἰς τέλος καὶ γὰρ ἐν Ιουδα ἦσαν λόγοι ἀγαθοί (lxx) 2Ch 12:12 Verumtamen quia humiliati sunt, aversa est ab eis ira Domini, nec deleti sunt penitus: siquidem et in Juda inventa sunt opera bona.(vulgate) 2 Chronicles 12:12 And because hee humbled himselfe, the wrath of the Lorde turned from him, that hee woulde not destroy all together; also in Iudah the things prospered.(Geneva) 2Ch 12:12 Und weil er sich demütigte, wandte sich des HERRN Zorn von ihm, daß nicht alles verderbt ward. Now Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the Lord had chosen from all the tribes of Israel, to put His name there.
