(nas) Ecl 3:13 καί γε πᾶς ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὃς φάγεται καὶ πίεται καὶ ἴδῃ ἀγαθὸν ἐν παντὶ μόχθῳ αὐτοῦ δόμα θεοῦ ἐστιν (lxx) Ecl 3:13 omnis enim homo qui comedit et bibit, et videt bonum de labore suo, hoc donum Dei est.(vulgate) Ecclesiastes 3:13 And also that euery man eateth and drinketh, and seeth the commoditie of all his labour. Sicut moritur homo, sic et illa moriuntur. Similiter spirant omnia, et nihil habet homo jumento amplius: cuncta subjacent vanitati,(vulgate) Ecclesiastes 3:19 For the condition of the children of men, and the condition of beasts are euen as one condition vnto them. (nas) Ecl 3:21 καὶ τίς οἶδεν πνεῦμα υἱῶν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου εἰ ἀναβαίνει αὐτὸ εἰς ἄνω καὶ πνεῦμα τοῦ κτήνους εἰ καταβαίνει αὐτὸ κάτω εἰς γῆν (lxx) Ecl 3:21 Quis novit si spiritus filiorum Adam ascendat sursum, et si spiritus jumentorum descendat deorsum?(vulgate) Ecclesiastes 3:21 Who knoweth whether the spirit of man ascend vpward, and the spirit of the beast descend downeward to the earth?(Geneva) Ecl 3:21 Wer weiß, ob der Odem der Menschen aufwärts fahre und der Odem des Viehes abwärts unter die Erde fahre?(dhs) Ecl 3:21 Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth?(nkjv) ======= Ecclesiastes 3:22 ============ Ecl 3:22 I have seen that nothing is better than that man should be happy in his activities, for that is his lot. For who will bring him to see what will occur after him? (nas) Ecl 3:22 καὶ εἶδον ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ἀγαθὸν εἰ μὴ ὃ εὐφρανθήσεται ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐν ποιήμασιν αὐτοῦ ὅτι αὐτὸ μερὶς αὐτοῦ ὅτι τίς ἄξει αὐτὸν τοῦ ἰδεῖν ἐν ᾧ ἐὰν γένηται μετ᾽ αὐτόν (lxx) Ecl 3:22 Et deprehendi nihil esse melius quam lætari hominem in opere suo, et hanc esse partem illius. Quis enim eum adducet ut post se futura cognoscat?](vulgate) Ecclesiastes 3:22 Therefore I see that there is nothing better then that a man shoulde reioyce in his affaires, because that is his portion. For who shal bring him to see what shalbe after him?(Geneva) Ecl 3:22 So sah ich denn, daß nichts Besseres ist, als daß ein Mensch fröhlich sei in seiner Arbeit; denn das ist sein Teil. And behold I saw the tears of the oppressed and that they had no one to comfort them; and on the side of their oppressors was power, but they had no one to comfort them.
