Today's Date: ======= Ezekiel 26:1 ============ Eze 26:1 Now in the eleventh year, on the first of the month, the word of the Lord came to me saying, (nas) Eze 26:1 καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν τῷ ἑνδεκάτῳ ἔτει μιᾷ τοῦ μηνὸς ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων (lxx) Eze 26:1 Et factum est in undecimo anno, prima mensis: factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:1 And in the eleuenth yeere, in the first day of the moneth, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,(Geneva) Eze 26:1 Und es begab sich im elften Jahr, am ersten Tage des ersten Monats, geschah des HERRN Wort zu mir und sprach:(dhs) Eze 26:1 And it came to pass in the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, that the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:2 ============ Eze 26:2 "Son of man, because Tyre has said concerning Jerusalem, 'Aha, the gateway of the peoples is broken; it has opened to me. I shall be filled, now that she is laid waste, '(nas) Eze 26:2 υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου ἀνθ᾽ ὧν εἶπεν Σορ ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ εὖγε συνετρίβη ἀπόλωλεν τὰ ἔθνη ἐπεστράφη πρός με ἡ πλήρης ἠρήμωται (lxx) Eze 26:2 [Fili hominis, pro eo quod dixit Tyrus de Jerusalem: Euge, confractæ sunt portæ populorum, conversa est ad me: implebor; deserta est:(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:2 Sonne of man, because that Tyrus hath said against Ierusalem, Aha, the gate of the people is broken: it is turned vnto me: for seeing she is desolate, I shall be replenished,(Geneva) Eze 26:2 Du Menschenkind, darum daß Tyrus spricht über Jerusalem: "Ha! die Pforte der Völker ist zerbrochen; es ist zu mir gewandt; ich werde nun voll werden, weil sie wüst ist!",(dhs) Eze 26:2 "Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, 'Aha! She is broken who was the gateway of the peoples; now she is turned over to me; I shall be filled; she is laid waste.'(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:3 ============ Eze 26:3 therefore thus says the Lord God, 'Behold, I am against you, O Tyre, and I will bring up many nations against you, as the sea brings up its waves. (nas) Eze 26:3 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπὶ σέ Σορ καὶ ἀνάξω ἐπὶ σὲ ἔθνη πολλά ὡς ἀναβαίνει ἡ θάλασσα τοῖς κύμασιν αὐτῆς (lxx) Eze 26:3 propterea hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Ecce ego super te, Tyre, et ascendere faciam ad te gentes multas, sicut ascendit mare fluctuans.(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:3 Therefore thus sayth the Lorde God, Beholde, I come against thee, O Tyrus, and I will bring vp many nations against thee, as the sea mounteth vp with his waues.(Geneva) Eze 26:3 darum spricht der HERR HERR also: Siehe, ich will an dich, Tyrus, und will viele Heiden über dich heraufbringen, gleich wie sich ein Meer erhebt mit seinen Wellen.(dhs) Eze 26:3 Therefore thus says the Lord God: 'Behold, I am against you, O Tyre, and will cause many nations to come up against you, as the sea causes its waves to come up.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:4 ============ Eze 26:4 They will destroy the walls of Tyre and break down her towers; and I will scrape her debris from her and make her a bare rock. (nas) Eze 26:4 καὶ καταβαλοῦσιν τὰ τείχη Σορ καὶ καταβαλοῦσι τοὺς πύργους σου καὶ λικμήσω τὸν χοῦν αὐτῆς ἀπ᾽ αὐτῆς καὶ δώσω αὐτὴν εἰς λεωπετρίαν (lxx) Eze 26:4 Et dissipabunt muros Tyri, et destruent turres ejus: et radam pulverem ejus de ea, et dabo eam in limpidissimam petram.(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:4 And they shall destroy the walles of Tyrus and breake downe her towres: I will also scrape her dust from her, & make her like the top of a rocke.(Geneva) Eze 26:4 Die sollen die Mauern zu Tyrus verderben und ihre Türme abbrechen; ja ich will auch ihren Staub von ihr wegfegen und will einen bloßen Fels aus ihr machen(dhs) Eze 26:4 And they shall destroy the walls of Tyre and break down her towers; I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:5 ============ Eze 26:5 She will be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea, for I have spoken,' declares the Lord God, 'and she will become spoil for the nations. (nas) Eze 26:5 ψυγμὸς σαγηνῶν ἔσται ἐν μέσῳ θαλάσσης ὅτι ἐγὼ λελάληκα λέγει κύριος καὶ ἔσται εἰς προνομὴν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν (lxx) Eze 26:5 Siccatio sagenarum erit in medio maris, quia ego locutus sum, ait Dominus Deus: et erit in direptionem gentibus.(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:5 Thou shalt be for the spreading of nettes in the middes of the sea: for I haue spoken it, sayth the Lord God, and it shalbe a spoile to ye nations.(Geneva) Eze 26:5 und einen Ort am Meer, darauf man die Fischgarne aufspannt; denn ich habe es geredet, spricht der HERR HERR, und sie soll den Heiden zum Raub werden.(dhs) Eze 26:5 It shall be a place for spreading nets in the midst of the sea, for I have spoken,' says the Lord God; 'it shall become plunder for the nations.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:6 ============ Eze 26:6 Also her daughters who are on the mainland will be slain by the sword, and they will know that I am the Lord.'"(nas) Eze 26:6 καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες αὐτῆς αἱ ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ μαχαίρᾳ ἀναιρεθήσονται καὶ γνώσονται ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος (lxx) Eze 26:6 Filiæ quoque ejus quæ sunt in agro, gladio interficientur: et scient quia ego Dominus.]~(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:6 And her daughters which are in the fielde, shall be slaine by the sworde, and they shall know that I am the Lord.(Geneva) Eze 26:6 Und ihre Töchter, so auf dem Felde liegen, sollen durchs Schwert erwürgt werden und sollen erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin.(dhs) Eze 26:6 Also her daughter villages which are in the fields shall be slain by the sword. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.'(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:7 ============ Eze 26:7 For thus says the Lord God, "Behold, I will bring upon Tyre from the north Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, with horses, chariots, cavalry and a great army. (nas) Eze 26:7 ὅτι τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπάγω ἐπὶ σέ Σορ τὸν Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλέα Βαβυλῶνος ἀπὸ τοῦ βορρᾶ βασιλεὺς βασιλέων ἐστίν μεθ᾽ ἵππων καὶ ἁρμάτων καὶ ἱππέων καὶ συναγωγῆς ἐθνῶν πολλῶν σφόδρα (lxx) Eze 26:7 [Quia hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Ecce ego adducam ad Tyrum Nabuchodonosor regem Babylonis ab aquilone, regem regum, cum equis, et curribus, et equitibus, et cœtu, populoque magno.(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:7 For thus sayth the Lord God, Behold, I will bring vpon Tyrus Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel, a King of Kings from the North, with horses and with charets, and with horsemen, with a multitude and much people.(Geneva) Eze 26:7 Denn so spricht der HERR HERR: Siehe, ich will über Tyrus kommen lassen Nebukadnezar, den König zu Babel, von Mitternacht her, der ein König aller Könige ist, mit Rossen, Wagen, Reitern und mit großem Haufen Volks.(dhs) Eze 26:7 "For thus says the Lord God: 'Behold, I will bring against Tyre from the north Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, with horses, with chariots, and with horsemen, and an army with many people.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:8 ============ Eze 26:8 He will slay your daughters on the mainland with the sword; and he will make siege walls against you, cast up a ramp against you and raise up a large shield against you. (nas) Eze 26:8 οὗτος τὰς θυγατέρας σου τὰς ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ μαχαίρᾳ ἀνελεῖ καὶ δώσει ἐπὶ σὲ προφυλακὴν καὶ περιοικοδομήσει καὶ ποιήσει ἐπὶ σὲ κύκλῳ χάρακα καὶ περίστασιν ὅπλων καὶ τὰς λόγχας αὐτοῦ ἀπέναντί σου δώσει (lxx) Eze 26:8 Filias tuas quæ sunt in agro, gladio interficiet, et circumdabit te munitionibus, et comportabit aggerem in gyro, et elevabit contra te clypeum:(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:8 He shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the fielde, and he shall make a fort against thee, and cast a mount against thee, and lift vp the buckler against thee.(Geneva) Eze 26:8 Der soll deine Töchter, so auf dem Felde liegen, mit dem Schwert erwürgen; aber wider dich wird er Bollwerke aufschlagen und einen Wall aufschütten und Schilde wider dich rüsten.(dhs) Eze 26:8 He will slay with the sword your daughter villages in the fields; he will heap up a siege mound against you, build a wall against you, and raise a defense against you.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:9 ============ Eze 26:9 The blow of his battering rams he will direct against your walls, and with his axes he will break down your towers. (nas) Eze 26:9 τὰ τείχη σου καὶ τοὺς πύργους σου καταβαλεῖ ἐν ταῖς μαχαίραις αὐτοῦ (lxx) Eze 26:9 et vineas et arietes temperabit in muros tuos, et turres tuas destruet in armatura sua.(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:9 He shall set engins of warre before him against thy walles, and with his weapons breake downe thy towres.(Geneva) Eze 26:9 Er wird mit Sturmböcken deine Mauern zerstoßen und deine Türme mit seinen Werkzeugen umreißen.(dhs) Eze 26:9 He will direct his battering rams against your walls, and with his axes he will break down your towers.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:10 ============ Eze 26:10 Because of the multitude of his horses, the dust raised by them will cover you; your walls will shake at the noise of cavalry and wagons and chariots when he enters your gates as men enter a city that is breached. (nas) Eze 26:10 ἀπὸ τοῦ πλήθους τῶν ἵππων αὐτοῦ κατακαλύψει σε ὁ κονιορτὸς αὐτῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς φωνῆς τῶν ἱππέων αὐτοῦ καὶ τῶν τροχῶν τῶν ἁρμάτων αὐτοῦ σεισθήσεται τὰ τείχη σου εἰσπορευομένου αὐτοῦ τὰς πύλας σου ὡς εἰσπορευόμενος εἰς πόλιν ἐκ πεδίου (lxx) Eze 26:10 Inundatione equorum ejus operiet te pulvis eorum: a sonitu equitum, et rotarum, et curruum, movebuntur muri tui, cum ingressus fuerit portas tuas quasi per introitum urbis dissipatæ.(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:10 The dust of his horses shall couer thee, for their multitude: thy walles shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wheeles, and of the charets, when he shall enter into thy gates as into the entrie of a citie that is broken downe.(Geneva) Eze 26:10 Der Staub von der Menge seiner Pferde wird dich bedecken; so werden auch deine Mauern erbeben vor dem Getümmel seiner Rosse, Räder und Reiter, wenn er zu deinen Toren einziehen wird, wie man pflegt in eine zerrissene Stadt einzuziehen.(dhs) Eze 26:10 Because of the abundance of his horses, their dust will cover you; your walls will shake at the noise of the horsemen, the wagons, and the chariots, when he enters your gates, as men enter a city that has been breached.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:11 ============ Eze 26:11 With the hoofs of his horses he will trample all your streets. He will slay your people with the sword; and your strong pillars will come down to the ground. (nas) Eze 26:11 ἐν ταῖς ὁπλαῖς τῶν ἵππων αὐτοῦ καταπατήσουσίν σου πάσας τὰς πλατείας τὸν λαόν σου μαχαίρᾳ ἀνελεῖ καὶ τὴν ὑπόστασίν σου τῆς ἰσχύος ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν κατάξει (lxx) Eze 26:11 Ungulis equorum suorum conculcabit omnes plateas tuas: populum tuum gladio cædet, et statuæ tuæ nobiles in terram corruent.(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:11 With the hooues of his horses shall he treade downe all thy streetes: he shall slay thy people by the sworde, and the pillars of thy strength shall fall downe to the ground.(Geneva) Eze 26:11 Er wird mit den Füßen seiner Rosse alle deine Gassen zertreten. Dein Volk wird er mit dem Schwert erwürgen und deine starken Säulen zu Boden reißen.(dhs) Eze 26:11 With the hooves of his horses he will trample all your streets; he will slay your people by the sword, and your strong pillars will fall to the ground.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:12 ============ Eze 26:12 Also they will make a spoil of your riches and a prey of your merchandise, break down your walls and destroy your pleasant houses, and throw your stones and your timbers and your debris into the water. (nas) Eze 26:12 καὶ προνομεύσει τὴν δύναμίν σου καὶ σκυλεύσει τὰ ὑπάρχοντά σου καὶ καταβαλεῖ σου τὰ τείχη καὶ τοὺς οἴκους σου τοὺς ἐπιθυμητοὺς καθελεῖ καὶ τοὺς λίθους σου καὶ τὰ ξύλα σου καὶ τὸν χοῦν σου εἰς μέσον τῆς θαλάσσης ἐμβαλεῖ (lxx) Eze 26:12 Vastabunt opes tuas, diripient negotiationes tuas, et destruent muros tuos, et domos tuas præclaras subvertent: et lapides tuos, et ligna tua, et pulverem tuum in medio aquarum ponent.(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:12 And they shall robbe thy riches, and spoyle thy marchandise, and they shall breake downe thy walles, and destroy thy pleasant houses, and they shall cast thy stones and thy timber and thy dust into the middes of the water.(Geneva) Eze 26:12 Sie werden dein Gut rauben und deinen Handel plündern. Deine Mauern werden sie abbrechen und deine feinen Häuser umreißen und werden deine Steine, Holz und Staub ins Wasser werfen.(dhs) Eze 26:12 They will plunder your riches and pillage your merchandise; they will break down your walls and destroy your pleasant houses; they will lay your stones, your timber, and your soil in the midst of the water.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:13 ============ Eze 26:13 So I will silence the sound of your songs, and the sound of your harps will be heard no more. (nas) Eze 26:13 καὶ καταλύσει τὸ πλῆθος τῶν μουσικῶν σου καὶ ἡ φωνὴ τῶν ψαλτηρίων σου οὐ μὴ ἀκουσθῇ ἔτι (lxx) Eze 26:13 Et quiescere faciam multitudinem canticorum tuorum: et sonitus cithararum tuarum non audietur amplius.(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:13 Thus will I cause the sounde of thy songs to cease, and the sound of thine harpes shall be no more heard.(Geneva) Eze 26:13 Also will ich mit Getön deines Gesanges ein Ende machen, daß man den Klang deiner Harfen nicht mehr hören soll.(dhs) Eze 26:13 I will put an end to the sound of your songs, and the sound of your harps shall be heard no more.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:14 ============ Eze 26:14 I will make you a bare rock; you will be a place for the spreading of nets. You will be built no more, for I the Lord have spoken," declares the Lord God. (nas) Eze 26:15 διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος τῇ Σορ οὐκ ἀπὸ φωνῆς τῆς πτώσεώς σου ἐν τῷ στενάξαι τραυματίας ἐν τῷ σπάσαι μάχαιραν ἐν μέσῳ σου σεισθήσονται αἱ νῆσοι (lxx) Eze 26:15 Hæc dicit Dominus Deus Tyro: Numquid non a sonitu ruinæ tuæ, et gemitu interfectorum tuorum, cum occisi fuerint in medio tui, commovebuntur insulæ?(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:15 Thus sayth the Lorde God to Tyrus, Shall not the yles tremble at the sounde of thy fall? and at the crie of the wounded, when they shall be slaine and murthered in the middes of thee?(Geneva) Eze 26:15 So spricht der HERR HERR wider Tyrus: was gilt's? die Inseln werden erbeben, wenn du so greulich zerfallen wirst und deine Verwundeten seufzen werden, so in dir sollen ermordet werden.(dhs) Eze 26:15 "Thus says the Lord God to Tyre: 'Will the coastlands not shake at the sound of your fall, when the wounded cry, when slaughter is made in the midst of you?(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:16 ============ Eze 26:16 Then all the princes of the sea will go down from their thrones, remove their robes and strip off their embroidered garments. They will clothe themselves with trembling; they will sit on the ground, tremble every moment and be appalled at you. (nas) Eze 26:16 καὶ καταβήσονται ἀπὸ τῶν θρόνων αὐτῶν πάντες οἱ ἄρχοντες ἐκ τῶν ἐθνῶν τῆς θαλάσσης καὶ ἀφελοῦνται τὰς μίτρας ἀπὸ τῶν κεφαλῶν αὐτῶν καὶ τὸν ἱματισμὸν τὸν ποικίλον αὐτῶν ἐκδύσονται ἐκστάσει ἐκστήσονται ἐπὶ γῆν καθεδοῦνται καὶ φοβηθήσονται τὴν ἀπώλειαν αὐτῶν καὶ στενάξουσιν ἐπὶ σέ (lxx) Eze 26:16 Et descendent de sedibus suis omnes principes maris, et auferent exuvias suas, et vestimenta sua varia abjicient, et induentur stupore: in terra sedebunt, et attoniti super repentino casu tuo admirabuntur:(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:16 Then all the princes of the sea shall come downe from their thrones: they shall lay away their robes, and put off their broydered garments, and shall clothe themselues with astonishment: they shall sitte vpon the ground, and be astonished at euery moment, and be amased at thee.(Geneva) Eze 26:16 Alle Fürsten am Meer werden herab von ihren Stühlen steigen und ihre Röcke von sich tun und ihre gestickten Kleider ausziehen und werden in Trauerkleidern gehen und auf der Erde sitzen und werden erschrecken und sich entsetzen über deinen plötzlichen Fall.(dhs) Eze 26:16 Then all the princes of the sea will come down from their thrones, lay aside their robes, and take off their embroidered garments; they will clothe themselves with trembling; they will sit on the ground, tremble every moment, and be astonished at you.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:17 ============ Eze 26:17 They will take up a lamentation over you and say to you, 'How you have perished, O inhabited one, From the seas, O renowned city, Which was mighty on the sea, She and her inhabitants, Who imposed her terror On all her inhabitants! (nas) Eze 26:17 καὶ λήμψονται ἐπὶ σὲ θρῆνον καὶ ἐροῦσίν σοι πῶς κατελύθης ἐκ θαλάσσης ἡ πόλις ἡ ἐπαινεστὴ ἡ δοῦσα τὸν φόβον αὐτῆς πᾶσι τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν αὐτήν (lxx) Eze 26:17 et assumentes super te lamentum, dicent tibi: Quomodo peristi, quæ habitas in mari, urbs inclyta, quæ fuisti fortis in mari cum habitatoribus tuis, quos formidabant universi?(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:17 And they shall take vp a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, Howe art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of the sea men, the renoumed citie which was strong in the sea, both she and her inhabitants, which cause their feare to be on all that haunt therein!(Geneva) Eze 26:17 Sie werden über dich wehklagen und von dir sagen: Ach, wie bist du so gar wüst geworden, du berühmte Stadt, die du am Meer lagst und so mächtig warst auf dem Meer samt deinen Einwohnern, daß sich das ganze Land vor dir fürchten mußte!(dhs) Eze 26:17 And they will take up a lamentation for you, and say to you: "How you have perished, O one inhabited by seafaring men, O renowned city, Who was strong at sea, She and her inhabitants, Who caused their terror to be on all her inhabitants!(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 26:18 ============ Eze 26:18 'Now the coastlands will tremble On the day of your fall; Yes, the coastlands which are by the sea Will be terrified at your passing.'"(nas) Eze 26:18 καὶ φοβηθήσονται αἱ νῆσοι ἀφ᾽ ἡμέρας πτώσεώς σου (lxx) Eze 26:18 Nunc stupebunt naves in die pavoris tui, et turbabuntur insulæ in mari, eo quod nullus egrediatur ex te.(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:18 Nowe shall the yles be astonished in the day of thy fall: yea, the yles that are in the sea, shall be troubled at thy departure.(Geneva) Eze 26:18 Ach, wie entsetzen sich die Inseln über deinen Fall! ja die Inseln im Meer erschrecken über deinen Untergang.(dhs) Eze 26:18 Now the coastlands tremble on the day of your fall; Yes, the coastlands by the sea are troubled at your departure." (nas) Eze 26:20 καὶ καταβιβάσω σε πρὸς τοὺς καταβαίνοντας εἰς βόθρον πρὸς λαὸν αἰῶνος καὶ κατοικιῶ σε εἰς βάθη τῆς γῆς ὡς ἔρημον αἰώνιον μετὰ καταβαινόντων εἰς βόθρον ὅπως μὴ κατοικηθῇς μηδὲ ἀνασταθῇς ἐπὶ γῆς ζωῆς (lxx) Eze 26:20 et detraxero te cum his qui descendunt in lacum ad populum sempiternum; et collocavero te in terra novissima sicut solitudines veteres, cum his qui deducuntur in lacum, ut non habiteris; porro cum dedero gloriam in terra viventium:(vulgate) Ezekiel 26:20 When I shall cast thee downe with them that descende into the pitte, with the people of olde time, and shall set thee in the lowe partes of the earth, like the olde ruines, with them, I say, which goe downe to the pitte, so that thou shalt not be inhabited, and I shall shewe my glory in the land of the liuing,(Geneva) Eze 26:20 und will dich hinunterstoßen zu denen, die in die Grube gefahren sind, zu dem Volk der Toten. Ich will dich unter die Erde hinabstoßen in die ewigen Wüsten zu denen, die in die Grube gefahren sind, auf daß niemand in dir wohne.
