(nas) Jon 4:1 καὶ ἐλυπήθη Ιωνας λύπην μεγάλην καὶ συνεχύθη (lxx) Jon 4:1 Et afflictus est Jonas afflictione magna, et iratus est:(vulgate) Jonah 4:1 Therefore it displeased Ionah exceedingly, and he was angry.(Geneva) Jon 4:1 Das verdroß Jona gar sehr, und er ward zornig(dhs) Jon 4:1 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry.(nkjv) ======= Jonah 4:2 ============ Jon 4:2 He prayed to the Lord and said, "Please Lord, was not this what I said while I was still in my own country? Therefore in order to forestall this I fled to Tarshish, for I knew that You are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, and one who relents concerning calamity. (nas) Jon 4:2 καὶ προσεύξατο πρὸς κύριον καὶ εἶπεν ὦ κύριε οὐχ οὗτοι οἱ λόγοι μου ἔτι ὄντος μου ἐν τῇ γῇ μου διὰ τοῦτο προέφθασα τοῦ φυγεῖν εἰς Θαρσις διότι ἔγνων ὅτι σὺ ἐλεήμων καὶ οἰκτίρμων μακρόθυμος καὶ πολυέλεος καὶ μετανοῶν ἐπὶ ταῖς κακίαις (lxx) Jon 4:2 et oravit ad Dominum, et dixit: Obsecro, Domine, numquid non hoc est verbum meum cum adhuc essem in terra mea? propter hoc præoccupavi ut fugerem in Tharsis: scio enim quia tu Deus clemens et misericors es, patiens et multæ miserationis, et ignoscens super malitia.(vulgate) Jonah 4:2 And he prayed vnto the Lord, and saide, I pray thee, O Lord, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my countrey? therefore I preuented it to flee vnto Tarshish: for I knewe that thou art a gratious God, & merciful, slow to anger, & of great kindnes, and repentest thee of the euill.(Geneva) Jon 4:2 und betete zum HERRN und sprach: Ach HERR, das ist's, was ich sagte, da ich noch in meinem Lande war; darum ich auch wollte zuvorkommen, zu fliehen gen Tharsis; denn ich weiß, daß du gnädig, barmherzig, langmütig und von großer Güte bist und läßt dich des Übels reuen.(dhs) Jon 4:2 So he prayed to the Lord, and said, "Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.(nkjv) ======= Jonah 4:3 ============ Jon 4:3 Therefore now, O Lord, please take my life from me, for death is better to me than life."(nas) Jon 4:3 καὶ νῦν δέσποτα κύριε λαβὲ τὴν ψυχήν μου ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ ὅτι καλὸν τὸ ἀποθανεῖν με ἢ ζῆν με (lxx) Jon 4:3 Et nunc, Domine, tolle, quæso, animam meam a me, quia melior est mihi mors quam vita.(vulgate) Jonah 4:3 Therefore nowe O Lorde, take, I beseech thee, my life from me: for it is better for me to die then to liue.(Geneva) Jon 4:3 So nimm doch nun, HERR, meine Seele von mir; denn ich wollte lieber tot sein als leben.(dhs) Jon 4:3 Therefore now, O Lord, please take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live!"(nkjv) ======= Jonah 4:4 ============ Jon 4:4 The Lord said, "Do you have good reason to be angry?"(nas) Jon 4:4 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Ιωναν εἰ σφόδρα λελύπησαι σύ (lxx) Jon 4:4 Et dixit Dominus: Putasne bene irasceris tu?(vulgate) Jonah 4:4 Then saide the Lorde, Doest thou well to be angry?(Geneva) Jon 4:4 Aber der HERR sprach: Meinst du, daß du billig zürnst?(dhs) Jon 4:4 Then the Lord said, "Is it right for you to be angry?"(nkjv) ======= Jonah 4:5 ============ Jon 4:5 Then Jonah went out from the city and sat east of it. There he made a shelter for himself and sat under it in the shade until he could see what would happen in the city. (nas) Jon 4:5 καὶ ἐξῆλθεν Ιωνας ἐκ τῆς πόλεως καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἀπέναντι τῆς πόλεως καὶ ἐποίησεν ἑαυτῷ ἐκεῖ σκηνὴν καὶ ἐκάθητο ὑποκάτω αὐτῆς ἐν σκιᾷ ἕως οὗ ἀπίδῃ τί ἔσται τῇ πόλει (lxx) Jon 4:5 Et egressus est Jonas de civitate, et sedit contra orientem civitatis: et fecit sibimet umbraculum ibi, et sedebat subter illud in umbra, donec videret quid accideret civitati.(vulgate) Jonah 4:5 So Ionah went out of the citie and sate on the East side of the citie, and there made him a boothe, and sate vnder it in the shadowe till he might see what should be done in the citie.(Geneva) Jon 4:5 Und Jona ging zur Stadt hinaus und setzte sich morgenwärts von der Stadt und machte sich daselbst eine Hütte; darunter setzte er sich in den Schatten, bis er sähe, was der Stadt widerfahren würde.(dhs) Jon 4:5 So Jonah went out of the city and sat on the east side of the city. There he made himself a shelter and sat under it in the shade, till he might see what would become of the city.(nkjv) ======= Jonah 4:6 ============ Jon 4:6 So the Lord God appointed a plant and it grew up over Jonah to be a shade over his head to deliver him from his discomfort. And Jonah was extremely happy about the plant. (nas) Jon 4:6 καὶ προσέταξεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς κολοκύνθῃ καὶ ἀνέβη ὑπὲρ κεφαλῆς τοῦ Ιωνα τοῦ εἶναι σκιὰν ὑπεράνω τῆς κεφαλῆς αὐτοῦ τοῦ σκιάζειν αὐτῷ ἀπὸ τῶν κακῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐχάρη Ιωνας ἐπὶ τῇ κολοκύνθῃ χαρὰν μεγάλην (lxx) Jon 4:6 Et præparavit Dominus Deus hederam, et ascendit super caput Jonæ, ut esset umbra super caput ejus, et protegeret eum (laboraverat enim): et lætatus est Jonas super hedera lætitia magna.(vulgate) Jonah 4:6 And the Lorde God prepared a gourde, and made it to come vp ouer Ionah, that it might be a shadowe ouer his head and deliuer him from his griefe. So Ionah was exceeding glad of the gourde.(Geneva) Jon 4:6 Gott der HERR aber verschaffte einen Rizinus, der wuchs über Jona, daß er Schatten gäbe über sein Haupt und errettete ihn von seinem Übel; und Jona freute sich sehr über den Rizinus.(dhs) Jon 4:6 And the Lord God prepared a plant and made it come up over Jonah, that it might be shade for his head to deliver him from his misery. So Jonah was very grateful for the plant.(nkjv) ======= Jonah 4:7 ============ Jon 4:7 But God appointed a worm when dawn came the next day and it attacked the plant and it withered. (nas) Jon 4:7 καὶ προσέταξεν ὁ θεὸς σκώληκι ἑωθινῇ τῇ ἐπαύριον καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὴν κολόκυνθαν καὶ ἀπεξηράνθη (lxx) Jon 4:7 Et paravit Deus vermen ascensu diluculi in crastinum: et percussit hederam, et exaruit.(vulgate) Jonah 4:7 But God prepared a worme when the morning rose the next day, & it smote the gourd, that it withered.(Geneva) Jon 4:7 Aber Gott verschaffte einen Wurm des Morgens, da die Morgenröte anbrach; der stach den Rizinus, daß er verdorrte.(dhs) Jon 4:7 But as morning dawned the next day God prepared a worm, and it so damaged the plant that it withered.(nkjv) ======= Jonah 4:8 ============ Jon 4:8 When the sun came up God appointed a scorching east wind, and the sun beat down on Jonah's head so that he became faint and begged with all his soul to die, saying, "Death is better to me than life."(nas) Jon 4:8 καὶ ἐγένετο ἅμα τῷ ἀνατεῖλαι τὸν ἥλιον καὶ προσέταξεν ὁ θεὸς πνεύματι καύσωνος συγκαίοντι καὶ ἐπάταξεν ὁ ἥλιος ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν Ιωνα καὶ ὠλιγοψύχησεν καὶ ἀπελέγετο τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν καλόν μοι ἀποθανεῖν με ἢ ζῆν (lxx) Jon 4:8 Et cum ortus fuisset sol, præcepit Dominus vento calido et urenti: et percussit sol super caput Jonæ, et æstuabat: et petivit animæ suæ ut moreretur, et dixit: Melius est mihi mori quam vivere.(vulgate) Jonah 4:8 And when the sunne did arise, God prepared also a feruent East winde: and the sunne beat vpon the head of Ionah, that he fainted, and wished in his heart to die, and said, It is better for me to dye, then to liue.(Geneva) Jon 4:8 Als aber die Sonne aufgegangen war, verschaffte Gott einen dürren Ostwind; und die Sonne stach Jona auf den Kopf, daß er matt ward. Da wünschte er seiner Seele den Tod und sprach: Ich wollte lieber tot sein als leben.(dhs) Jon 4:8 And it happened, when the sun arose, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat on Jonah's head, so that he grew faint. Then he wished death for himself, and said, "It is better for me to die than to live."(nkjv) ======= Jonah 4:9 ============ Jon 4:9 Then God said to Jonah," Do you have good reason to be angry about the plant?" And he said, "I have good reason to be angry, even to death."(nas) Jon 4:9 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ θεὸς πρὸς Ιωναν εἰ σφόδρα λελύπησαι σὺ ἐπὶ τῇ κολοκύνθῃ καὶ εἶπεν σφόδρα λελύπημαι ἐγὼ ἕως θανάτου (lxx) Jon 4:9 Et dixit Dominus ad Jonam: Putasne bene irasceris tu super hedera? Et dixit: Bene irascor ego usque ad mortem.(vulgate) Jonah 4:9 And God said vnto Ionah, Doest thou wel to be angrie for the gourde? And he said, I doe well to be angrie vnto the death.(Geneva) Jon 4:9 Da sprach Gott zu Jona: Meinst du, daß du billig zürnst um den Rizinus? Und er sprach: Billig zürne ich bis an den Tod.(dhs) Jon 4:9 Then God said to Jonah, "Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?" And he said, "It is right for me to be angry, even to death!"(nkjv) ======= Jonah 4:10 ============ Jon 4:10 Then the Lord said, "You had compassion on the plant for which you did not work and which you did not cause to grow, which came up overnight and perished overnight. (nas) Jon 4:10 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος σὺ ἐφείσω ὑπὲρ τῆς κολοκύνθης ὑπὲρ ἧς οὐκ ἐκακοπάθησας ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν καὶ οὐκ ἐξέθρεψας αὐτήν ἣ ἐγενήθη ὑπὸ νύκτα καὶ ὑπὸ νύκτα ἀπώλετο (lxx) Jon 4:10 Et dixit Dominus: Tu doles super hederam in qua non laborasti, neque fecisti ut cresceret; quæ sub una nocte nata est, et sub una nocte periit:(vulgate) Jonah 4:10 Then said the Lorde, Thou hast had pitie on the gourde for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it growe, which came vp in a night, and perished in a night,(Geneva) Jon 4:10 Und der HERR sprach: Dich jammert des Rizinus, daran du nicht gearbeitet hast, hast ihn auch nicht aufgezogen, welcher in einer Nacht ward und in einer Nacht verdarb;(dhs) Jon 4:10 But the Lord said, "You have had pity on the plant for which you have not labored, nor made it grow, which came up in a night and perished in a night.(nkjv) ======= Jonah 4:11 ============ Jon 4:11 Should I not have compassion on Nineveh, the great city in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know the difference between their right and left hand, as well as many animals?" (nas) Jon 4:11 ἐγὼ δὲ οὐ φείσομαι ὑπὲρ Νινευη τῆς πόλεως τῆς μεγάλης ἐν ᾗ κατοικοῦσιν πλείους ἢ δώδεκα μυριάδες ἀνθρώπων οἵτινες οὐκ ἔγνωσαν δεξιὰν αὐτῶν ἢ ἀριστερὰν αὐτῶν καὶ κτήνη πολλά (lxx) Jon 4:11 et ego non parcam Ninive, civitati magnæ, in qua sunt plus quam centum viginti millia hominum qui nesciunt quid sit inter dexteram et sinistram suam, et jumenta multa?(vulgate) Jonah 4:11 And shoulde not I spare Nineueh that great citie, wherein are sixe score thousande persons, that cannot discerne betweene their right hand, and their left hand, and also much cattell?(Geneva) Jon 4:11 und mich sollte nicht jammern Ninives, solcher großen Stadt, in welcher sind mehr denn hundert und zwanzigtausend Menschen, die nicht wissen Unterschied, was rechts oder links ist, dazu auch viele Tiere?(dhs) Jon 4:11 And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left--and much livestock?"(nkjv) Mic 1:1 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Μιχαιαν τὸν τοῦ Μωρασθι ἐν ἡμέραις Ιωαθαμ καὶ Αχαζ καὶ Εζεκιου βασιλέων Ιουδα ὑπὲρ ὧν εἶδεν περὶ Σαμαρείας καὶ περὶ Ιερουσαλημ (lxx) Mic 1:1 Verbum Domini, quod factum est ad Michæam Morasthiten, in diebus Joathan, Achaz, et Ezechiæ, regum Juda, quod vidit super Samariam et Jerusalem.~(vulgate) Mic 1:1 Dies ist das Wort des HERRN, welches geschah zu Mic a von Moreseth zur Zeit des Jotham, Ahas und Hiskia, der Könige Juda's, das er gesehen hat über Samaria und Jerusalem.(dhs) |
