Today's Date: ======= Micah 4:1 ============ Mic 4:1 And it will come about in the last days That the mountain of the house of the Lord Will be established as the chief of the mountains. It will be raised above the hills, And the peoples will stream to it. (nas) Mic 4:1 καὶ ἔσται ἐπ᾽ ἐσχάτων τῶν ἡμερῶν ἐμφανὲς τὸ ὄρος τοῦ κυρίου ἕτοιμον ἐπὶ τὰς κορυφὰς τῶν ὀρέων καὶ μετεωρισθήσεται ὑπεράνω τῶν βουνῶν καὶ σπεύσουσιν πρὸς αὐτὸ λαοί (lxx) Mic 4:1 [Et erit: in novissimo dierum erit mons domus Domini præparatus in vertice montium, et sublimis super colles: et fluent ad eum populi,(vulgate) Micah 4:1 Bvt in the last dayes it shall come to passe, that the mountaine of the House of the Lord shall be prepared in the toppe of the mountaines, and it shall bee exalted aboue the hilles, and people shall flowe vnto it.(Geneva) Mic 4:1 In den letzten Tagen aber wird der Berg, darauf des HERRN Haus ist, fest stehen, höher denn alle Berge, und über die Hügel erhaben sein, und die Völker werden dazu laufen,(dhs) Mic 4:1 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the Lord's house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And peoples shall flow to it. ======= Micah 4:2 ============ Mic 4:2 Many nations will come and say, "Come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord And to the house of the God of Jacob, That He may teach us about His ways And that we may walk in His paths." For from Zion will go forth the law, Even the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. (nas) Mic 4:2 καὶ πορεύσονται ἔθνη πολλὰ καὶ ἐροῦσιν δεῦτε ἀναβῶμεν εἰς τὸ ὄρος κυρίου καὶ εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ Ιακωβ καὶ δείξουσιν ἡμῖν τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ πορευσόμεθα ἐν ταῖς τρίβοις αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἐκ Σιων ἐξελεύσεται νόμος καὶ λόγος κυρίου ἐξ Ιερουσαλημ (lxx) Mic 4:2 et properabunt gentes multæ, et dicent: Venite, ascendamus ad montem Domini, et ad domum Dei Jacob: et docebit nos de viis suis, et ibimus in semitis ejus, quia de Sion egredietur lex, et verbum Domini de Jerusalem.(vulgate) Micah 4:2 Yea, many nations shal come & say, Come, and let vs goe vp to the Mountaine of the Lord, and to the House of the God of Iaakob, and hee will teache vs his wayes, and we wil walke in his pathes: for the Lawe shall goe forth of Zion, and the worde of the Lord from Ierusalem.(Geneva) Mic 4:2 und viele Heiden werden gehen und sagen: Kommt, laßt uns hinauf zum Berge des HERRN gehen und zum Hause des Gottes Jakobs, daß er uns lehre seine Wege und wir auf seiner Straße wandeln! Denn aus Zion wird das Gesetz ausgehen und des HERRN Wort aus Jerusalem.(dhs) Mic 4:2 Many nations shall come and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths." For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. ======= Micah 4:3 ============ Mic 4:3 And He will judge between many peoples And render decisions for mighty, distant nations. Then they will hammer their swords into plowshares And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they train for war. (nas) Mic 4:3 καὶ κρινεῖ ἀνὰ μέσον λαῶν πολλῶν καὶ ἐξελέγξει ἔθνη ἰσχυρὰ ἕως εἰς γῆν μακράν καὶ κατακόψουσιν τὰς ῥομφαίας αὐτῶν εἰς ἄροτρα καὶ τὰ δόρατα αὐτῶν εἰς δρέπανα καὶ οὐκέτι μὴ ἀντάρῃ ἔθνος ἐπ᾽ ἔθνος ῥομφαίαν καὶ οὐκέτι μὴ μάθωσιν πολεμεῖν (lxx) Mic 4:3 Et judicabit inter populos multos, et corripiet gentes fortes usque in longinquum: et concident gladios suos in vomeres, et hastas suas in ligones: non sumet gens adversus gentem gladium, et non discent ultra belligerare.(vulgate) Micah 4:3 And he shall iudge among many people, & rebuke mightie nations a farre off, & they shall breake their swordes into mattockes, and their speares into sithes: nation shal not lift vp a sword against nation, neither shall they learne to fight any more.(Geneva) Mic 4:3 Er wird unter großen Völkern richten und viele Heiden strafen in fernen Landen. Sie werden ihre Schwerter zu Pflugscharen und ihre Spieße zu Sicheln machen. Es wird kein Volk wider das andere ein Schwert aufheben und werden nicht mehr kriegen lernen.(dhs) Mic 4:3 He shall judge between many peoples, And rebuke strong nations afar off; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore. ======= Micah 4:4 ============ Mic 4:4 Each of them will sit under his vine And under his fig tree, With no one to make them afraid, For the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken. (nas) Mic 4:4 καὶ ἀναπαύσεται ἕκαστος ὑποκάτω ἀμπέλου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἕκαστος ὑποκάτω συκῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ ἐκφοβῶν διότι τὸ στόμα κυρίου παντοκράτορος ἐλάλησεν ταῦτα (lxx) Mic 4:4 Et sedebit vir subtus vitem suam et subtus ficum suam, et non erit qui deterreat, quia os Domini exercituum locutum est.(vulgate) Micah 4:4 But they shall sit euery man vnder his vine, and vnder his figge tree, and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lorde of hostes hath spoken it.(Geneva) Mic 4:4 Ein jeglicher wird unter seinem Weinstock und Feigenbaum wohnen ohne Scheu; denn der Mund des HERRN Zebaoth hat's geredet.(dhs) Mic 4:4 But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree, And no one shall make them afraid; For the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken. ======= Micah 4:5 ============ Mic 4:5 Though all the peoples walk Each in the name of his god, As for us, we will walk In the name of the Lord our God forever and ever. (nas) Mic 4:5 ὅτι πάντες οἱ λαοὶ πορεύσονται ἕκαστος τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτοῦ ἡμεῖς δὲ πορευσόμεθα ἐν ὀνόματι κυρίου θεοῦ ἡμῶν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ ἐπέκεινα (lxx) Mic 4:5 Quia omnes populi ambulabunt unusquisque in nomine dei sui; nos autem ambulabimus in nomine Domini Dei nostri, in æternum et ultra.]~(vulgate) Micah 4:5 For all people will walke euery one in the name of his God, and we will walke in the Name of the Lord our God, for euer and euer.(Geneva) Mic 4:5 Denn ein jegliches Volk wandelt im Namen seines Gottes; aber wir wandeln im Namen des HERRN, unsers Gottes, immer und ewiglich.(dhs) Mic 4:5 For all people walk each in the name of his god, But we will walk in the name of the Lord our God Forever and ever. ======= Micah 4:6 ============ Mic 4:6 "In that day," declares the Lord, "I will assemble the lame And gather the outcasts, Even those whom I have afflicted. (nas) Mic 4:6 ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ λέγει κύριος συνάξω τὴν συντετριμμένην καὶ τὴν ἐξωσμένην εἰσδέξομαι καὶ οὓς ἀπωσάμην (lxx) Mic 4:6 [In die illa, dicit Dominus, congregabo claudicantem, et eam quam ejeceram colligam, et quam afflixeram:(vulgate) Micah 4:6 At the same day, saith the Lorde, will I gather her that halteth, and I will gather her that is cast out, and her that I haue afflicted.(Geneva) Mic 4:6 Zur selben Zeit, spricht der HERR, will ich die Lahmen versammeln und die Verstoßenen zuhauf bringen und die ich geplagt habe.(dhs) Mic 4:6 "In that day," says the Lord, "I will assemble the lame, I will gather the outcast And those whom I have afflicted; ======= Micah 4:7 ============ Mic 4:7 "I will make the lame a remnant And the outcasts a strong nation, And the Lord will reign over them in Mount Zion From now on and forever. (nas) Mic 4:7 καὶ θήσομαι τὴν συντετριμμένην εἰς ὑπόλειμμα καὶ τὴν ἀπωσμένην εἰς ἔθνος ἰσχυρόν καὶ βασιλεύσει κύριος ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ἐν ὄρει Σιων ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν καὶ ἕως εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα (lxx) Mic 4:7 et ponam claudicantem in reliquias, et eam quæ laboraverat, in gentem robustam: et regnabit Dominus super eos in monte Sion, ex hoc nunc et usque in æternum.(vulgate) Micah 4:7 And I will make her that halted, a remnant, and her that was cast farre off, a mightie nation: and the Lorde shall reigne ouer them in Mount Zion, from hence forth euen for euer.(Geneva) Mic 4:7 Und will die Lahmen machen, daß sie Erben haben sollen, und die Verstoßenen zum großen Volk machen; und der HERR wird König über sie sein auf dem Berge Zion von nun an bis in Ewigkeit.(dhs) Mic 4:7 I will make the lame a remnant, And the outcast a strong nation; So the Lord will reign over them in Mount Zion From now on, even forever. ======= Micah 4:8 ============ Mic 4:8 "As for you, tower of the flock, Hill of the daughter of Zion, To you it will come" Even the former dominion will come, The kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem. (nas) Mic 4:8 καὶ σύ πύργος ποιμνίου αὐχμώδης θύγατερ Σιων ἐπὶ σὲ ἥξει καὶ εἰσελεύσεται ἡ ἀρχὴ ἡ πρώτη βασιλεία ἐκ Βαβυλῶνος τῇ θυγατρὶ Ιερουσαλημ (lxx) Mic 4:8 Et tu, turris gregis nebulosa filiæ Sion, usque ad te veniet, et veniet potestas prima, regnum filiæ Jerusalem.(vulgate) Micah 4:8 And thou, O towre of the flock, the strong holde of the daughter Zion, vnto thee shall it come, euen the first dominion, and kingdome shall come to the daughter Ierusalem.(Geneva) Mic 4:8 Und du, Turm Eder, du Feste der Tochter Zion, zu dir wird kommen und einkehren die vorige Herrschaft, das Königreich der Tochter Jerusalem.(dhs) Mic 4:8 And you, O tower of the flock, The stronghold of the daughter of Zion, To you shall it come, Even the former dominion shall come, The kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem." ======= Micah 4:9 ============ Mic 4:9 "Now, why do you cry out loudly? Is there no king among you, Or has your counselor perished, That agony has gripped you like a woman in childbirth? (nas) Mic 4:9 καὶ νῦν ἵνα τί ἔγνως κακά μὴ βασιλεὺς οὐκ ἦν σοι ἢ ἡ βουλή σου ἀπώλετο ὅτι κατεκράτησάν σου ὠδῖνες ὡς τικτούσης (lxx) Mic 4:9 Nunc quare mœrore contraheris? numquid rex non est tibi, aut consiliarius tuus periit, quia comprehendit te dolor sicut parturientem?(vulgate) Micah 4:9 Nowe why doest thou crie out with lamentation? is there no King in thee? is thy counseller perished? for sorowe hath taken thee, as a woman in trauaile.(Geneva) Mic 4:9 Warum schreist du denn jetzt so laut? Ist der König nicht bei dir? oder sind deine Ratgeber alle hinweg, daß dich also das Weh angekommen ist wie eine in Kindsnöten?(dhs) Mic 4:9 Now why do you cry aloud? Is there no king in your midst? Has your counselor perished? For pangs have seized you like a woman in labor. ======= Micah 4:10 ============ Mic 4:10 "Writhe and labor to give birth, Daughter of Zion, Like a woman in childbirth; For now you will go out of the city, Dwell in the field, And go to Babylon. There you will be rescued; There the Lord will redeem you From the hand of your enemies. (nas) Mic 4:10 ὤδινε καὶ ἀνδρίζου καὶ ἔγγιζε θύγατερ Σιων ὡς τίκτουσα διότι νῦν ἐξελεύσῃ ἐκ πόλεως καὶ κατασκηνώσεις ἐν πεδίῳ καὶ ἥξεις ἕως Βαβυλῶνος ἐκεῖθεν ῥύσεταί σε καὶ ἐκεῖθεν λυτρώσεταί σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐκ χειρὸς ἐχθρῶν σου (lxx) Mic 4:10 Dole et satage, filia Sion, quasi parturiens, quia nunc egredieris de civitate, et habitabis in regione, et venies usque ad Babylonem: ibi liberaberis, ibi redimet te Dominus de manu inimicorum tuorum.(vulgate) Micah 4:10 Sorow and mourne, O daughter Zion, like a woman in trauaile: for nowe shalt thou goe foorth of the citie, and dwel in the field, and shalt goe into Babel, but there shalt thou be deliuered: there the Lord shall redeeme thee from the hand of thine enemies.(Geneva) Mic 4:10 Leide doch solch Weh und kreiße, du Tochter Zion, wie eine in Kindsnöten. Denn du mußt nun zur Stadt hinaus und auf dem Felde wohnen und gen Babel kommen; aber daselbst wirst du errettet werden, daselbst wird dich der HERR erlösen von deinen Feinden.(dhs) Mic 4:10 Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, Like a woman in birth pangs. For now you shall go forth from the city, You shall dwell in the field, And to Babylon you shall go. There you shall be delivered; There the Lord will redeem you From the hand of your enemies. ======= Micah 4:11 ============ Mic 4:11 "And now many nations have been assembled against you Who say, 'Let her be polluted, And let our eyes gloat over Zion.'(nas) Mic 4:11 καὶ νῦν ἐπισυνήχθη ἐπὶ σὲ ἔθνη πολλὰ οἱ λέγοντες ἐπιχαρούμεθα καὶ ἐπόψονται ἐπὶ Σιων οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ἡμῶν (lxx) Mic 4:11 Et nunc congregatæ sunt super te gentes multæ, quæ dicunt: Lapidetur, et aspiciat in Sion oculus noster.(vulgate) Micah 4:11 Nowe also many nations are gathered against thee, saying, Zion shalbe condemned and our eye shall looke vpon Zion.(Geneva) Mic 4:11 Nun aber werden sich viele Heiden wider dich rotten und sprechen: Sie soll entweiht werden; wir wollen unsere Lust an Zion sehen.(dhs) Mic 4:11 Now also many nations have gathered against you, Who say, "Let her be defiled, And let our eye look upon Zion." ======= Micah 4:12 ============ Mic 4:12 "But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord, And they do not understand His purpose; For He has gathered them like sheaves to the threshing floor. (nas) Mic 4:12 αὐτοὶ δὲ οὐκ ἔγνωσαν τὸν λογισμὸν κυρίου καὶ οὐ συνῆκαν τὴν βουλὴν αὐτοῦ ὅτι συνήγαγεν αὐτοὺς ὡς δράγματα ἅλωνος (lxx) Mic 4:12 Ipsi autem non cognoverunt cogitationes Domini, et non intellexerunt consilium ejus, quia congregavit eos quasi fœnum areæ.(vulgate) Micah 4:12 But they knowe not the thoughtes of the Lord: they vnderstand not his counsell, for he shall gather them as the sheaues in the barne.(Geneva) Mic 4:12 Aber sie wissen des HERRN Gedanken nicht und merken seinen Ratschlag nicht, daß er sie zuhauf gebracht hat wie Garben auf der Tenne.(dhs) Mic 4:12 But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord, Nor do they understand His counsel; For He will gather them like sheaves to the threshing floor. ======= Micah 4:13 ============ Mic 4:13 "Arise and thresh, daughter of Zion, For your horn I will make iron And your hoofs I will make bronze, That you may pulverize many peoples, That you may devote to the Lord their unjust gain And their wealth to the Lord of all the earth. (nas) Mic 4:13 ἀνάστηθι καὶ ἀλόα αὐτούς θύγατερ Σιων ὅτι τὰ κέρατά σου θήσομαι σιδηρᾶ καὶ τὰς ὁπλάς σου θήσομαι χαλκᾶς καὶ κατατήξεις ἐν αὐτοῖς ἔθνη καὶ λεπτυνεῖς λαοὺς πολλοὺς καὶ ἀναθήσεις τῷ κυρίῳ τὸ πλῆθος αὐτῶν καὶ τὴν ἰσχὺν αὐτῶν τῷ κυρίῳ πάσης τῆς γῆς (lxx) Mic 4:13 Surge, et tritura, filia Sion, quia cornu tuum ponam ferreum, et ungulas tuas ponam æreas; et comminues populos multos, et interficies Domino rapinas eorum, et fortitudinem eorum Domino universæ terræ.](vulgate) Micah 4:13 Arise, and thresh, O daughter Zion: for I will make thine horne yron, and I will make thine hooues brasse, and thou shalt breake in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their riches vnto the Lord, and their substance vnto the ruler of the whole worlde.(Geneva) Mic 4:13 Darum mache dich auf und drisch, du Tochter Zion! (nas) Mic 5:1 νῦν ἐμφραχθήσεται θυγάτηρ Εφραιμ ἐν φραγμῷ συνοχὴν ἔταξεν ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς ἐν ῥάβδῳ πατάξουσιν ἐπὶ σιαγόνα τὰς φυλὰς τοῦ Ισραηλ (lxx) Mic 5:1 [Nunc vastaberis, filia latronis.
