Why?" declares the Lord of hosts," Because of My house which lies desolate, while each of you runs to his own house. (nas) Hag 1:9 ἐπεβλέψατε εἰς πολλά καὶ ἐγένετο ὀλίγα καὶ εἰσηνέχθη εἰς τὸν οἶκον καὶ ἐξεφύσησα αὐτά διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἀνθ᾽ ὧν ὁ οἶκός μού ἐστιν ἔρημος ὑμεῖς δὲ διώκετε ἕκαστος εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ (lxx) Hag 1:9 Respexistis ad amplius, et ecce factum est minus; et intulistis in domum, et exsufflavi illud: quam ob causam? dicit Dominus exercituum: quia domus mea deserta est, et vos festinatis unusquisque in domum suam.(vulgate) Haggai 1:9 Ye looked for much, and lo, it came to litle: and when ye brought it home, I did blowe vpon it; why, sayth the Lord of hostes? Because of mine House that is waste, and ye runne euery man vnto his owne house.(Geneva) Hag 1:9 Denn ihr wartet wohl auf viel, und siehe, es wird wenig; und ob ihr's schon heimbringt, so zerstäube ich's doch. Warum das? spricht der HERR Zebaoth. (nas) Hag 1:10 διὰ τοῦτο ἀνέξει ὁ οὐρανὸς ἀπὸ δρόσου καὶ ἡ γῆ ὑποστελεῖται τὰ ἐκφόρια αὐτῆς (lxx) Hag 1:10 Propter hoc super vos prohibiti sunt cæli ne darent rorem, et terra prohibita est ne daret germen suum:(vulgate) Haggai 1:10 Therefore the heauen ouer you stayed it selfe from dewe, and the earth stayed her fruite.(Geneva) Hag 1:10 Darum hat der Himmel über euch den Tau verhalten und das Erdreich sein Gewächs.(dhs) Hag 1:10 Therefore the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit.(nkjv) ======= Haggai 1:11 ============ Hag 1:11 I called for a drought on the land, on the mountains, on the grain, on the new wine, on the oil, on what the ground produces, on men, on cattle, and on all the labor of your hands."(nas) Hag 1:11 καὶ ἐπάξω ῥομφαίαν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν σῖτον καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν οἶνον καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ ἔλαιον καὶ ὅσα ἐκφέρει ἡ γῆ καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀνθρώπους καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ κτήνη καὶ ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς πόνους τῶν χειρῶν αὐτῶν (lxx) Hag 1:11 et vocavi siccitatem super terram, et super montes, et super triticum, et super vinum, et super oleum, et quæcumque profert humus, et super homines, et super jumenta, et super omnem laborem manuum.](vulgate) Haggai 1:11 And I called for a drought vpon the land, and vpon the mountaines, & vpon the corne, and vpon the wine, and vpon the oyle, vpon all that the ground bringeth foorth: both vpon men and vpon cattell, and vpon all the labour of the hands.(Geneva) Hag 1:11 Und ich habe die Dürre gerufen über Land und Berge, über Korn, Most, Öl und über alles, was aus der Erde kommt, auch über Leute und Vieh und über alle Arbeit der Hände.(dhs) Hag 1:11 For I called for a drought on the land and the mountains, on the grain and the new wine and the oil, on whatever the ground brings forth, on men and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands."(nkjv) ======= Haggai 1:12 ============ Hag 1:12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the Lord their God and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the Lord their God had sent him. And the people showed reverence for the Lord. (nas) Hag 1:12 καὶ ἤκουσεν Ζοροβαβελ ὁ τοῦ Σαλαθιηλ ἐκ φυλῆς Ιουδα καὶ Ἰησοῦς ὁ τοῦ Ιωσεδεκ ὁ ἱερεὺς ὁ μέγας καὶ πάντες οἱ κατάλοιποι τοῦ λαοῦ τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ αὐτῶν καὶ τῶν λόγων Αγγαιου τοῦ προφήτου καθότι ἐξαπέστειλεν αὐτὸν κύριος ὁ θεὸς αὐτῶν πρὸς αὐτούς καὶ ἐφοβήθη ὁ λαὸς ἀπὸ προσώπου κυρίου (lxx) Hag 1:12 Et audivit Zorobabel, filius Salathiel, et Jesus, filius Josedec, sacerdos magnus, et omnes reliquiæ populi, vocem Domini Dei sui, et verba Aggæi prophetæ, sicut misit eum Dominus Deus eorum ad eos, et timuit populus a facie Domini.(vulgate) Haggai 1:12 When Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, and Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest with all the remnant of the people, heard the voyce of the Lord their God, & the wordes of the Prophet Haggai (as the Lorde their God had sent him) then the people did feare before the Lorde.(Geneva) Hag 1:12 Da gehorchte Serubabel, der Sohn Sealthiels, und Josua, der Sohn Jozadaks, der Hohepriester, und alle übrigen des Volkes solcher Stimme des HERRN, ihres Gottes, und den Worten des Propheten Haggai, wie ihn der HERR, ihr Gott, gesandt hatte; und das Volk fürchtete sich vor dem HERRN.(dhs) Hag 1:12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the Lord their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the Lord their God had sent him; and the people feared the presence of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Haggai 1:13 ============ Hag 1:13 Then Haggai, the messenger of the Lord, spoke by the commission of the Lord to the people saying, "'I am with you,' declares the Lord."(nas) Hag 1:13 καὶ εἶπεν Αγγαιος ὁ ἄγγελος κυρίου τῷ λαῷ ἐγώ εἰμι μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν λέγει κύριος (lxx) Hag 1:13 Et dixit Aggæus, nuntius Domini de nuntiis Domini, populo dicens: Ego vobiscum sum, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Haggai 1:13 Then spake Haggai the Lords messenger in the Lords message vnto the people, saying, I am with you, sayth the Lord.(Geneva) Hag 1:13 Da sprach Haggai, der Engel des HERRN, der die Botschaft des HERRN hatte an das Volk: Ich bin mit euch, spricht der HERR.(dhs) Hag 1:13 Then Haggai, the Lord's messenger, spoke the Lord's message to the people, saying, "I am with you, says the Lord."(nkjv) ======= Haggai 1:14 ============ Hag 1:14 So the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the Lord of hosts, their God, (nas) Hag 1:14 καὶ ἐξήγειρεν κύριος τὸ πνεῦμα Ζοροβαβελ τοῦ Σαλαθιηλ ἐκ φυλῆς Ιουδα καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα Ἰησοῦ τοῦ Ιωσεδεκ τοῦ ἱερέως τοῦ μεγάλου καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα τῶν καταλοίπων παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ εἰσῆλθον καὶ ἐποίουν ἔργα ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ κυρίου παντοκράτορος θεοῦ αὐτῶν (lxx) Hag 1:14 Et suscitavit Dominus spiritum Zorobabel, filii Salathiel, ducis Juda, et spiritum Jesu, filii Josedec, sacerdotis magni, et spiritum reliquorum de omni populo: et ingressi sunt, et faciebant opus in domo Domini exercituum, Dei sui.(vulgate) Haggai 1:14 And the Lord stirred vp the spirite of Zerubbabel, the sonne of Shealtiel a prince of Iudah, and the spirit of Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people, and they came, and did the worke in the House of the Lorde of hostes their God.(Geneva) Hag 1:14 Und der HERR erweckte den Geist Serubabels, des Sohnes Sealthiels, des Fürsten Juda's, und den Geist Josuas, des Sohnes Jozadaks, des Hohenpriesters, und den Geist des ganzen übrigen Volkes, daß sie kamen und arbeiteten am Hause des HERRN Zebaoth, ihres Gottes,(dhs) Hag 1:14 So the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the Lord of hosts, their God,(nkjv) ======= Haggai 1:15 ============ Hag 1:15 on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month in the second year of Darius the king.
