Today's Date: ======= Haggai 2:1 ============ Hag 2:1 On the twenty-first of the seventh month, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet saying, (nas) Hag 2:1 τῷ ἑβδόμῳ μηνὶ μιᾷ καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ μηνὸς ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐν χειρὶ Αγγαιου τοῦ προφήτου λέγων (lxx) Hag 2:1 In septimo mense, vigesima et prima mensis, factum est verbum Domini in manu Aggæi prophetæ, dicens:(vulgate) Haggai 2:1 (2:2) In the seuenth moneth, in the one & twentieth day of the moneth, came the worde of the Lorde by the ministerie of the Prophet Haggai, saying,(Geneva) Hag 2:1 Am einundzwanzigsten Tage des siebenten Monats geschah des HERRN Wort durch den Propheten Haggai und sprach:(dhs) Hag 2:1 In the seventh month, on the twenty-first of the month, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying:(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:2 ============ Hag 2:2 "Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people saying, (nas) Hag 2:2 εἰπὸν δὴ πρὸς Ζοροβαβελ τὸν τοῦ Σαλαθιηλ ἐκ φυλῆς Ιουδα καὶ πρὸς Ἰησοῦν τὸν τοῦ Ιωσεδεκ τὸν ἱερέα τὸν μέγαν καὶ πρὸς πάντας τοὺς καταλοίπους τοῦ λαοῦ λέγων (lxx) Hag 2:2 Loquere ad Zorobabel, filium Salathiel, ducem Juda, et ad Jesum, filium Josedec, sacerdotem magnum, et ad reliquos populi, dicens:(vulgate) Haggai 2:2 (2:3) Speake nowe to Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel prince of Iudah, and to Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,(Geneva) Hag 2:2 Sage zu Serubabel, dem Sohn Sealthiels, dem Fürsten Juda's, und zu Josua, dem Sohn Jozadaks, dem Hohenpriester, und zum übrigen Volk und sprich:(dhs) Hag 2:2 "Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying:(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:3 ============ Hag 2:3 'Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? Does it not seem to you like nothing in comparison? (nas) Hag 2:3 τίς ἐξ ὑμῶν ὃς εἶδεν τὸν οἶκον τοῦτον ἐν τῇ δόξῃ αὐτοῦ τῇ ἔμπροσθεν καὶ πῶς ὑμεῖς βλέπετε αὐτὸν νῦν καθὼς οὐχ ὑπάρχοντα ἐνώπιον ὑμῶν (lxx) Hag 2:3 [Quis in vobis est derelictus, qui vidit domum istam in gloria sua prima? et quid vos videtis hanc nunc? numquid non ita est, quasi non sit in oculis vestris?(vulgate) Haggai 2:3 (2:4) Who is left among you, that sawe this House in her first glory, and howe doe you see it nowe? is it not in your eyes, in comparison of it as nothing?(Geneva) Hag 2:3 Wer ist unter euch übriggeblieben, der dies Haus in seiner vorigen Herrlichkeit gesehen hat? und wie seht ihr's nun an? Ist's nicht also, es dünkt euch nichts zu sein?(dhs) Hag 2:3 'Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? In comparison with it, is this not in your eyes as nothing?(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:4 ============ Hag 2:4 But now take courage, Zerubbabel, 'declares the Lord, 'take courage also, Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all you people of the land take courage, 'declares the Lord, 'and work; for I am with you,' declares the Lord of hosts. (nas) Hag 2:4 καὶ νῦν κατίσχυε Ζοροβαβελ λέγει κύριος καὶ κατίσχυε Ἰησοῦ ὁ τοῦ Ιωσεδεκ ὁ ἱερεὺς ὁ μέγας καὶ κατισχυέτω πᾶς ὁ λαὸς τῆς γῆς λέγει κύριος καὶ ποιεῖτε διότι μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν ἐγώ εἰμι λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (lxx) Hag 2:4 Et nunc confortare, Zorobabel, dicit Dominus; et confortare, Jesu, fili Josedec, sacerdos magne; et confortare, omnis populus terræ, dicit Dominus exercituum: et facite (quoniam ego vobiscum sum, dicit Dominus exercituum)(vulgate) Haggai 2:4 (2:5) Yet nowe be of good courage, O Zerubbabel, sayth the Lord, and be of good comfort, O Iehoshua, sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest: and be strong, all ye people of the land, sayth the Lorde, and doe it: for I am with you, sayth the Lord of hostes,(Geneva) Hag 2:4 Und nun Serubabel, sei getrost! spricht der HERR; sei getrost, Josua, du Sohn Jozadaks, du Hoherpriester! sei getrost alles Volk im Lande! spricht der HERR, und arbeitet! denn ich bin mit euch, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.(dhs) Hag 2:4 Yet now be strong, Zerubbabel,' says the Lord; 'and be strong, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land,' says the Lord, 'and work; for I am with you,' says the Lord of hosts.(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:5 ============ Hag 2:5 'As for the promise which I made you when you came out of Egypt, My Spirit is abiding in your midst; do not fear!'(nas) Hag 2:5 καὶ τὸ πνεῦμά μου ἐφέστηκεν ἐν μέσῳ ὑμῶν θαρσεῖτε (lxx) Hag 2:5 verbum quod pepigi vobiscum cum egrederemini de terra Ægypti: et spiritus meus erit in medio vestrum: nolite timere.(vulgate) Haggai 2:5 (2:6) According to the worde that I couenanted with you, when ye came out of Egypt: so my Spirite shall remaine among you, feare ye not.(Geneva) Hag 2:5 Nach dem Wort, da ich mit euch einen Bund machte, da ihr aus Ägypten zogt, soll mein Geist unter euch bleiben. Fürchtet euch nicht!(dhs) Hag 2:5 'According to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit remains among you; do not fear!'(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:6 ============ Hag 2:6 For thus says the Lord of hosts, 'Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land. (nas) Hag 2:6 διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἔτι ἅπαξ ἐγὼ σείσω τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ τὴν ξηράν (lxx) Hag 2:6 Quia hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Adhuc unum modicum est, et ego commovebo cælum, et terram, et mare, et aridam.(vulgate) Haggai 2:6 (2:7) For thus sayth the Lorde of hostes, Yet a litle while, and I will shake the heauens and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land:(Geneva) Hag 2:6 Denn so spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Es ist noch ein kleines dahin, daß ich Himmel und Erde, das Meer und das Trockene bewegen werde.(dhs) Hag 2:6 "For thus says the Lord of hosts: 'Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land;(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:7 ============ Hag 2:7 I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory, 'says the Lord of hosts. (nas) Hag 2:7 καὶ συσσείσω πάντα τὰ ἔθνη καὶ ἥξει τὰ ἐκλεκτὰ πάντων τῶν ἐθνῶν καὶ πλήσω τὸν οἶκον τοῦτον δόξης λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (lxx) Hag 2:7 Et movebo omnes gentes, et veniet desideratus cunctis gentibus: et implebo domum istam gloria, dicit Dominus exercituum.(vulgate) Haggai 2:7 (2:8) And I will moue all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come, and I will fill this House with glory, sayth the Lord of hostes.(Geneva) Hag 2:7 Ja, alle Heiden will ich bewegen. Da soll dann kommen aller Heiden Bestes; und ich will dies Haus voll Herrlichkeit machen, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.(dhs) Hag 2:7 and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,' says the Lord of hosts.(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:8 ============ Hag 2:8 'The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,' declares the Lord of hosts. (nas) Hag 2:8 ἐμὸν τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ ἐμὸν τὸ χρυσίον λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (lxx) Hag 2:8 Meum est argentum, et meum est aurum, dicit Dominus exercituum.(vulgate) Haggai 2:8 (2:9) The siluer is mine, and the golde is mine, sayth the Lord of hostes.(Geneva) Hag 2:8 Denn mein ist Silber und Gold, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.(dhs) Hag 2:8 'The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says the Lord of hosts.(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:9 ============ Hag 2:9 'The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,' says the Lord of hosts, 'and in this place I will give peace,' declares the Lord of hosts."(nas) Hag 2:9 διότι μεγάλη ἔσται ἡ δόξα τοῦ οἴκου τούτου ἡ ἐσχάτη ὑπὲρ τὴν πρώτην λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ καὶ ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ δώσω εἰρήνην λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ καὶ εἰρήνην ψυχῆς εἰς περιποίησιν παντὶ τῷ κτίζοντι τοῦ ἀναστῆσαι τὸν ναὸν τοῦτον (lxx) Hag 2:9 Magna erit gloria domus istius novissimæ plus quam primæ, dicit Dominus exercituum: et in loco isto dabo pacem, dicit Dominus exercituum.]~(vulgate) Haggai 2:9 (2:10) The glory of this last House shall be greater then the first, sayth the Lorde of hostes: and in this place will I giue peace, sayth the Lorde of hostes.(Geneva) Hag 2:9 Es soll die Herrlichkeit dieses letzten Hauses größer werden, denn des ersten gewesen ist, spricht der HERR Zebaoth; und ich will Frieden geben an diesem Ort, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.(dhs) Hag 2:9 The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,' says the Lord of hosts. 'And in this place I will give peace,' says the Lord of hosts."(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:10 ============ Hag 2:10 On the twenty-fourth of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Haggai the prophet, saying, (nas) Hag 2:10 τετράδι καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ ἐνάτου μηνὸς ἔτους δευτέρου ἐπὶ Δαρείου ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Αγγαιον τὸν προφήτην λέγων (lxx) Hag 2:10 In vigesima et quarta noni mensis, in anno secundo Darii regis, factum est verbum Domini ad Aggæum prophetam, dicens:(vulgate) Haggai 2:10 (2:11) In the foure and twentieth day of the ninth moneth, in the second yeere of Darius, came the worde of the Lorde vnto the Prophet Haggai, saying,(Geneva) Hag 2:10 Am vierundzwanzigsten Tage des neunten Monats, im zweiten Jahr des Darius, geschah des HERRN Wort zu dem Propheten Haggai und sprach:(dhs) Hag 2:10 On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying,(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:11 ============ Hag 2:11 "Thus says the Lord of hosts, 'Ask now the priests for a ruling: (nas) Hag 2:11 τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἐπερώτησον τοὺς ἱερεῖς νόμον λέγων (lxx) Hag 2:11 Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Interroga sacerdotes legem, dicens:(vulgate) Haggai 2:11 (2:12) Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Aske nowe the Priests concerning the Law, and say,(Geneva) Hag 2:11 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Frage die Priester um das Gesetz und sprich:(dhs) Hag 2:11 "Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'Now, ask the priests concerning the law, saying,(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:12 ============ Hag 2:12 If a man carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and touches bread with this fold, or cooked food, wine, oil, or any other food, will it become holy?'" And the priests answered, "No."(nas) Hag 2:12 ἐὰν λάβῃ ἄνθρωπος κρέας ἅγιον ἐν τῷ ἄκρῳ τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἅψηται τὸ ἄκρον τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦ ἄρτου ἢ ἑψέματος ἢ οἴνου ἢ ἐλαίου ἢ παντὸς βρώματος εἰ ἁγιασθήσεται καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ εἶπαν οὔ (lxx) Hag 2:12 Si tulerit homo carnem sanctificatam in ora vestimenti sui, et tetigerit de summitate ejus panem, aut pulmentum, aut vinum, aut oleum, aut omnem cibum, numquid sanctificabitur? Respondentes autem sacerdotes, dixerunt: Non.(vulgate) Haggai 2:12 (2:13) If one beare holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, & with his skirt doe touch the bread, or the potage, or the wine, or oyle, or any meate, shal it be holy? And the Priests answered and said, No.(Geneva) Hag 2:12 Wenn jemand heiliges Fleisch trüge in seines Kleides Zipfel und rührte darnach an mit seinem Zipfel Brot, Gemüse, Wein, Öl oder was es für Speise wäre: würde es auch heilig? und die Priester antworteten und sprachen: Nein.(dhs) Hag 2:12 If one carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and with the edge he touches bread or stew, wine or oil, or any food, will it become holy?" ' " Then the priests answered and said, "No."(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:13 ============ Hag 2:13 Then Haggai said, "If one who is unclean from a corpse touches any of these, will the latter become unclean?" And the priests answered, "It will become unclean."(nas) Hag 2:13 καὶ εἶπεν Αγγαιος ἐὰν ἅψηται μεμιαμμένος ἐπὶ ψυχῇ ἀπὸ παντὸς τούτων εἰ μιανθήσεται καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ εἶπαν μιανθήσεται (lxx) Hag 2:13 Et dixit Aggæus: Si tetigerit pollutus in anima ex omnibus his, numquid contaminabitur? Et responderunt sacerdotes, et dixerunt: Contaminabitur.(vulgate) Haggai 2:13 (2:14) Then sayde Haggai, If a polluted person touch any of these, shall it be vncleane? And the Priests answered, and sayd, It shalbe vncleane.(Geneva) Hag 2:13 Haggai sprach: Wo aber jemand von einem Toten unrein wäre und deren eines anrührte, würde es auch unrein? Die Priester antworteten und sprachen: Es würde unrein.(dhs) Hag 2:13 And Haggai said, "If one who is unclean because of a dead body touches any of these, will it be unclean?" So the priests answered and said, "It shall be unclean."(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:14 ============ Hag 2:14 Then Haggai said, "'So is this people. And so is this nation before Me,' declares the Lord, 'and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean. (nas) Hag 2:14 καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Αγγαιος καὶ εἶπεν οὕτως ὁ λαὸς οὗτος καὶ οὕτως τὸ ἔθνος τοῦτο ἐνώπιον ἐμοῦ λέγει κύριος καὶ οὕτως πάντα τὰ ἔργα τῶν χειρῶν αὐτῶν καὶ ὃς ἐὰν ἐγγίσῃ ἐκεῖ μιανθήσεται ἕνεκεν τῶν λημμάτων αὐτῶν τῶν ὀρθρινῶν ὀδυνηθήσονται ἀπὸ προσώπου πόνων αὐτῶν καὶ ἐμισεῖτε ἐν πύλαις ἐλέγχοντας (lxx) Hag 2:14 Et respondit Aggæus, et dixit: [Sic populus iste, et sic gens ista ante faciem meam, dicit Dominus, et sic omne opus manuum eorum: et omnia quæ obtulerunt ibi, contaminata erunt.(vulgate) Haggai 2:14 (2:15) Then answered Haggai, and sayd, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the Lord: and so are all the workes of their hands, and that which they offer here, is vncleane.(Geneva) Hag 2:14 Da antwortete Haggai und sprach: Ebenalso sind dies Volk und diese Leute vor mir auch, spricht der HERR; und all ihrer Hände Werk und was sie opfern ist unrein.(dhs) Hag 2:14 Then Haggai answered and said, " 'So is this people, and so is this nation before Me,' says the Lord, 'and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:15 ============ Hag 2:15 But now, do consider from this day onward: before one stone was placed on another in the temple of the Lord, (nas) Hag 2:15 καὶ νῦν θέσθε δὴ εἰς τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν ἀπὸ τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης καὶ ὑπεράνω πρὸ τοῦ θεῖναι λίθον ἐπὶ λίθον ἐν τῷ ναῷ κυρίου (lxx) Hag 2:15 Et nunc ponite corda vestra a die hac et supra, antequam poneretur lapis super lapidem in templo Domini.(vulgate) Haggai 2:15 (2:16) And nowe, I pray you, consider in your mindes: from this day, and afore, euen afore a stone was layde vpon a stone in the Temple of the Lorde:(Geneva) Hag 2:15 Und nun schauet, wie es euch gegangen ist von diesem Tage an und zuvor, ehe denn ein Stein auf den andern gelegt ward am Tempel des HERRN:(dhs) Hag 2:15 'And now, carefully consider from this day forward: from before stone was laid upon stone in the temple of the Lord--(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:16 ============ Hag 2:16 from that time when one came to a grain heap of twenty measures, there would be only ten; and when one came to the wine vat to draw fifty measures, there would be only twenty. (nas) Hag 2:16 τίνες ἦτε ὅτε ἐνεβάλλετε εἰς κυψέλην κριθῆς εἴκοσι σάτα καὶ ἐγένετο κριθῆς δέκα σάτα καὶ εἰσεπορεύεσθε εἰς τὸ ὑπολήνιον ἐξαντλῆσαι πεντήκοντα μετρητάς καὶ ἐγένοντο εἴκοσι (lxx) Hag 2:16 Cum accederetis ad acervum viginti modiorum, et fierent decem; et intraretis ad torcular, ut exprimeretis quinquaginta lagenas, et fiebant viginti.(vulgate) Haggai 2:16 (2:17) Before these things were, when one came to an heape of twentie measures, there were but ten: when one came to the wine presse for to drawe out fiftie vessels out of the presse, there were but twentie.(Geneva) Hag 2:16 daß, wenn einer zum Kornhaufen kam, der zwanzig Maß haben sollte, so waren kaum zehn da; kam er zur Kelter und meinte fünfzig Eimer zu schöpfen, so waren kaum zwanzig da.(dhs) Hag 2:16 since those days, when one came to a heap of twenty ephahs, there were but ten; when one came to the wine vat to draw out fifty baths from the press, there were but twenty.(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:17 ============ Hag 2:17 I smote you and every work of your hands with blasting wind, mildew and hail; yet you did not come back to Me,' declares the Lord. (nas) Hag 2:17 ἐπάταξα ὑμᾶς ἐν ἀφορίᾳ καὶ ἐν ἀνεμοφθορίᾳ καὶ ἐν χαλάζῃ πάντα τὰ ἔργα τῶν χειρῶν ὑμῶν καὶ οὐκ ἐπεστρέψατε πρός με λέγει κύριος (lxx) Hag 2:17 Percussi vos vento urente, et aurugine, et grandine omnia opera manuum vestrarum: et non fuit in vobis qui reverteretur ad me, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Haggai 2:17 (2:18) I smote you with blasting, and with mildewe, and with haile, in all the labours of your hands: yet you turned not to me, saith the Lord.(Geneva) Hag 2:17 Denn ich plagte euch mit Dürre, Brandkorn und Hagel in all eurer Arbeit; dennoch kehrtet ihr euch nicht zu mir, spricht der HERR.(dhs) Hag 2:17 I struck you with blight and mildew and hail in all the labors of your hands; yet you did not turn to Me,' says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:18 ============ Hag 2:18 'Do consider from this day onward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month; from the day when the temple of the Lord was founded, consider: (nas) Hag 2:18 ὑποτάξατε δὴ τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν ἀπὸ τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης καὶ ἐπέκεινα ἀπὸ τῆς τετράδος καὶ εἰκάδος τοῦ ἐνάτου μηνὸς καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς ἡμέρας ἧς ἐθεμελιώθη ὁ ναὸς κυρίου θέσθε ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν (lxx) Hag 2:18 Ponite corda vestra ex die ista, et in futurum, a die vigesima et quarta noni mensis: a die qua fundamenta jacta sunt templi Domini, ponite super cor vestrum.(vulgate) Haggai 2:18 (2:19) Consider, I pray you, in your mindes, from this day, and afore from the foure & twentieth day of the ninth moneth, euen from the day that the foundation of the Lords Temple was laide: consider it in your mindes.(Geneva) Hag 2:18 So schauet nun darauf von diesem Tage an und zuvor, nämlich von dem vierundzwanzigsten Tage des neunten Monats bis an den Tag, da der Tempel gegründet ist; schauet darauf!(dhs) Hag 2:18 'Consider now from this day forward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the day that the foundation of the Lord's temple was laid--consider it:(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:19 ============ Hag 2:19 Is the seed still in the barn? Even including the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate and the olive tree, it has not borne fruit. Yet from this day on I will bless you.'"(nas) Hag 2:19 εἰ ἔτι ἐπιγνωσθήσεται ἐπὶ τῆς ἅλω καὶ εἰ ἔτι ἡ ἄμπελος καὶ ἡ συκῆ καὶ ἡ ῥόα καὶ τὰ ξύλα τῆς ἐλαίας τὰ οὐ φέροντα καρπόν ἀπὸ τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης εὐλογήσω (lxx) Hag 2:19 Numquid jam semen in germine est, et adhuc vinea, et ficus, et malogranatum, et lignum olivæ non floruit? ex die ista benedicam.]~(vulgate) Haggai 2:19 (2:20) Is the seede yet in the barne? as yet the vine, and the figtree, and the pomegranate, and the oliue tree hath not brought forth: from this day will I blesse you.(Geneva) Hag 2:19 Denn kein Same liegt mehr in der Scheuer, so hat auch weder Weinstock, Feigenbaum, Granatbaum noch Ölbaum getragen; aber von diesem Tage an will ich Segen geben.(dhs) Hag 2:19 Is the seed still in the barn? As yet the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yielded fruit. But from this day I will bless you.' (nas) Hag 2:21 εἰπὸν πρὸς Ζοροβαβελ τὸν τοῦ Σαλαθιηλ ἐκ φυλῆς Ιουδα λέγων ἐγὼ σείω τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ τὴν ξηρὰν (lxx) Hag 2:21 Loquere ad Zorobabel ducem Juda, dicens: [Ego movebo cælum pariter et terram,(vulgate) Haggai 2:21 (2:22) Speake to Zerubbabel the prince of Iudah, and say, I wil shake the heauens and the earth,(Geneva) Hag 2:21 Sage Serubabel, dem Fürsten Juda's, und sprich: Ich will Himmel und Erde bewegen(dhs) Hag 2:21 "Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying: 'I will shake heaven and earth.(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:22 ============ Hag 2:22 I will overthrow the thrones of kingdoms and destroy the power of the kingdoms of the nations; and I will overthrow the chariots and their riders, and the horses and their riders will go down, everyone by the sword of another.'(nas) Hag 2:22 καὶ καταστρέψω θρόνους βασιλέων καὶ ὀλεθρεύσω δύναμιν βασιλέων τῶν ἐθνῶν καὶ καταστρέψω ἅρματα καὶ ἀναβάτας καὶ καταβήσονται ἵπποι καὶ ἀναβάται αὐτῶν ἕκαστος ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ πρὸς τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ (lxx) Hag 2:22 et subvertam solium regnorum, et conteram fortitudinem regni gentium: et subvertam quadrigam et ascensorem ejus, et descendent equi, et ascensores eorum, vir in gladio fratris sui.(vulgate) Haggai 2:22 (2:23) And I will ouerthrowe the throne of kingdomes, & I wil destroy the strength of the kingdomes of the heathen, and I wil ouerthrowe the charets, and those that ride in them, and the horse and the riders shal come downe, euery one by the sword of his brother.(Geneva) Hag 2:22 und will die Stühle der Königreiche umkehren und die mächtigen Königreiche der Heiden vertilgen und will die Wagen mit ihren Reitern umkehren, daß Roß und Mann fallen sollen, ein jeglicher durch des andern Schwert.(dhs) Hag 2:22 I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms; I will destroy the strength of the Gentile kingdoms.
