Que si l'on t'abaisse devant le prince que tes yeux voient.(F) Pro 25:7 Denn es ist dir besser, daß man zu dir sage: Tritt hier herauf! als daß du vor dem Fürsten erniedrigt wirst, daß es deine Augen sehen müssen.(D) Pro 25:7 κρεῖσσον γάρ σοι τὸ ῥηθῆναι ἀνάβαινε πρός με ἢ ταπεινῶσαί σε ἐν προσώπῳ δυνάστου ἃ εἶδον οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου λέγε(lxx) Pro 25:7 For it is better that he say to you, "Come up here," Than that you should be put lower in the presence of the prince, Whom your eyes have seen.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 25:8 ============ Pro 25:8 Do not go out hastily to argue your case; Otherwise, what will you do in the end, When your neighbor humiliates you?(nasb) Pro 25:8 [Quæ viderunt oculi tui ne proferas in jurgio cito, ne postea emendare non possis, cum dehonestaveris amicum tuum.(vulgate) Proverbios 25:8 No entres apresuradamente en pleito, no sea [que no sepas] qué hacer al fin, después que tu prójimo te haya avergonzado.(E) Proverbes 25:8 Ne te hâte pas d'entrer en contestation, De peur qu'à la fin tu ne saches que faire, Lorsque ton prochain t'aura outragé.(F) Pro 25:8 Fahre nicht bald heraus, zu zanken; denn was willst du hernach machen, wenn dich dein Nächster beschämt hat?(D) Pro 25:8 μὴ πρόσπιπτε εἰς μάχην ταχέως ἵνα μὴ μεταμεληθῇς ἐπ᾽ ἐσχάτων ἡνίκα ἄν σε ὀνειδίσῃ ὁ σὸς φίλος(lxx) Pro 25:8 Do not go hastily to court; For what will you do in the end, When your neighbor has put you to shame?(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 25:9 ============ Pro 25:9 Argue your case with your neighbor, And do not reveal the secret of another,(nasb) Pro 25:9 Causam tuam tracta cum amico tuo, et secretum extraneo ne reveles:(vulgate) Proverbios 25:9 Trata tu causa con tu compañero y no descubras el secreto a otro.(E) Proverbes 25:9 Défends ta cause contre ton prochain, Mais ne révèle pas le secret d'un autre,(F) Pro 25:9 Führe deine Sache mit deinem Nächsten, und offenbare nicht eines andern Heimlichkeit,(D) Pro 25:9 ἀναχώρει εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω μὴ καταφρόνει(lxx) Pro 25:9 Debate your case with your neighbor, And do not disclose the secret to another;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 25:10 ============ Pro 25:10 Or he who hears it will reproach you, And the evil report about you will not pass away.(nasb) Pro 25:10 ne forte insultet tibi cum audierit, et exprobrare non cesset. Gratia et amicitia liberant: quas tibi serva, ne exprobrabilis fias.(vulgate) Proverbios 25:10 No sea que te deshonre el que lo oyere, y tu infamia no pueda repararse.(E) Proverbes 25:10 De peur qu'en l'apprenant il ne te couvre de honte, Et que ta mauvaise renommée ne s'efface pas.(F) Pro 25:10 auf daß nicht übel von dir spreche, der es hört, und dein böses Gerücht nimmer ablasse.(D) Pro 25:10 μή σε ὀνειδίσῃ μὲν ὁ φίλος ἡ δὲ μάχη σου καὶ ἡ ἔχθρα οὐκ ἀπέσται ἀλλ᾽ ἔσται σοι ἴση θανάτῳ Pro 25:10 Lest he who hears it expose your shame, And your reputation be ruined.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 25:11 ============ Pro 25:11 Like apples of gold in settings of silver Is a word spoken in right circumstances.(nasb) Pro 25:11 Mala aurea in lectis argenteis, qui loquitur verbum in tempore suo.(vulgate) Proverbios 25:11 Manzana de oro con figuras de plata [es] la palabra dicha oportunamente.(E) Proverbes 25:11 Comme des pommes d'or sur des ciselures d'argent, Ainsi est une parole dite à propos.(F) Pro 25:11 Ein Wort geredet zu seiner Zeit, ist wie goldene Äpfel auf silbernen Schalen.(D) Pro 25:11 μῆλον χρυσοῦν ἐν ὁρμίσκῳ σαρδίου οὕτως εἰπεῖν λόγον(lxx) Pro 25:11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold In settings of silver.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 25:12 ============ Pro 25:12 Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold Is a wise reprover to a listening ear.(nasb) Pro 25:12 Inauris aurea, et margaritum fulgens, qui arguit sapientem et aurem obedientem.(vulgate) Proverbios 25:12 [Como] zarcillo de oro y joyel de oro fino, [es] el que reprende al sabio que tiene oído dócil.(E) Proverbes 25:12 Comme un anneau d'or et une parure d'or fin, Ainsi pour une oreille docile est le sage qui réprimande.(F) Pro 25:12 Wer einem Weisen gehorcht, der ihn straft, das ist wie ein goldenes Stirnband und goldenes Halsband.(D) Pro 25:12 εἰς ἐνώτιον χρυσοῦν σάρδιον πολυτελὲς δέδεται λόγος σοφὸς εἰς εὐήκοον οὖς(lxx) Pro 25:12 Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold Is a wise rebuker to an obedient ear.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 25:13 ============ Pro 25:13 Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest Is a faithful messenger to those who send him, For he refreshes the soul of his masters.(nasb) Pro 25:13 Sicut frigus nivis in die messis, ita legatus fidelis ei qui misit eum: animam ipsius requiescere facit.(vulgate) Proverbios 25:13 Como frío de nieve en tiempo de la siega, [así es] el mensajero fiel a los que lo envían; pues al alma de su señor da refrigerio.(E) Proverbes 25:13 Comme la fraîcheur de la neige au temps de la moisson, Ainsi est un messager fidèle pour celui qui l'envoie; Il restaure l'âme de son maître.(F) Pro 25:13 Wie die Kühle des Schnees zur Zeit der Ernte, so ist ein treuer Bote dem, der ihn gesandt hat, und labt seines Herrn Seele.(D) Pro 25:13 ὥσπερ ἔξοδος χιόνος ἐν ἀμήτῳ κατὰ καῦμα ὠφελεῖ οὕτως ἄγγελος πιστὸς τοὺς ἀποστείλαντας αὐτόν ψυχὰς γὰρ τῶν αὐτῷ χρωμένων ὠφελεῖ(lxx) Pro 25:13 Like the cold of snow in time of harvest Is a faithful messenger to those who send him, For he refreshes the soul of his masters.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 25:14 ============ Pro 25:14 Like clouds and wind without rain Is a man who boasts of his gifts falsely.(nasb) Pro 25:14 Nubes, et ventus, et pluviæ non sequentes, vir gloriosus et promissa non complens.(vulgate) Proverbios 25:14 [Como] nubes y vientos sin lluvia, [así es] el hombre que se jacta de falsa liberalidad.(E) Proverbes 25:14 Comme des nuages et du vent sans pluie, Ainsi est un homme se glorifiant à tort de ses libéralités.(F) Pro 25:14 Wer viel verspricht und hält nicht, der ist wie Wolken und Wind ohne Regen.(D) Pro 25:14 ὥσπερ ἄνεμοι καὶ νέφη καὶ ὑετοὶ ἐπιφανέστατοι οὕτως οἱ καυχώμενοι ἐπὶ δόσει ψευδεῖ(lxx) Pro 25:14 Whoever falsely boasts of giving Is like clouds and wind without rain.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 25:15 ============ Pro 25:15 By forbearance a ruler may be persuaded, And a soft tongue breaks the bone.(nasb) Pro 25:15 Patientia lenietur princeps, et lingua mollis confringet duritiam.]~(vulgate) Proverbios 25:15 Con larga paciencia se aplaca el príncipe; y la lengua blanda quebranta los huesos.(E) Proverbes 25:15 Par la lenteur à la colère on fléchit un prince, Et une langue douce peut briser des os.(F) Pro 25:15 Durch Geduld wird ein Fürst versöhnt, und eine linde Zunge bricht die Härtigkeit.(D) Pro 25:15 ἐν μακροθυμίᾳ εὐοδία βασιλεῦσιν γλῶσσα δὲ μαλακὴ συντρίβει ὀστᾶ(lxx) Pro 25:15 By long forbearance a ruler is persuaded, And a gentle tongue breaks a bone.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 25:16 ============ Pro 25:16 Have you found honey? Acetum in nitro, qui cantat carmina cordi pessimo. Sicut tinea vestimento, et vermis ligno, ita tristitia viri nocet cordi.(vulgate) Proverbios 25:20 El que canta canciones al corazón afligido, [es como] el que quita la ropa en tiempo de frío, o el que sobre el jabón echa vinagre.(E) Proverbes 25:20 Oter son vêtement dans un jour froid, Répandre du vinaigre sur du nitre, C'est dire des chansons à un coeur attristé.(F) Pro 25:20 Wer einem betrübten Herzen Lieder singt, das ist, wie wenn einer das Kleid ablegt am kalten Tage, und wie Essig auf der Kreide.(D) Pro 25:20 ὥσπερ ὄξος ἕλκει ἀσύμφορον οὕτως προσπεσὸν πάθος ἐν σώματι καρδίαν λυπεῖ Pro 25:20 Like one who takes away a garment in cold weather, And like vinegar on soda, Is one who sings songs to a heavy heart.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 25:21 ============ Pro 25:21 If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink;(nasb) Pro 25:21 Si esurierit inimicus tuus, ciba illum; si sitierit, da ei aquam bibere:(vulgate) Proverbios 25:21 Si el que te aborrece tuviere hambre, dale de comer pan;
