For you have shown today that princes and servants are nothing to you; for I know this day that if Absalom were alive and all of us were dead today, then you would be pleased.(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 19:7 ============ 2Sa 19:7 Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto thy servants: for I swear by the LORD, if thou go not forth, there will not tarry one with thee this night: and that will be worse unto thee than all the evil that befell thee from thy youth until now.(KJV) 2 Samuel 19:7 Nowe therefore vp, come out, and speake comfortably vnto thy seruants: for I sweare by the Lorde, except thou come out, there will not tarie one man with thee this night: and that wil be worse vnto thee, then all the euill that fell on thee from thy youth hitherto.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 19:7 Lève-toi donc, sors, et parle au coeur de tes serviteurs! When they told all the people, saying, "Behold, the king is sitting in the gate," then all the people came before the king. Now Israel had fled, each to his tent.(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 19:9 ============ 2Sa 19:9 And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom.(KJV) 2 Samuel 19:9 Then all the people were at strife thorowout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The King saued vs out of the hand of our enemies, and he deliuered vs out of the hande of the Philistims, & nowe he is fled out of the lande for Absalom.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 19:9 Et dans toutes les tribus d'Israël, tout le peuple était en contestation, disant: Le roi nous a délivrés de la main de nos ennemis, c'est lui qui nous a sauvés de la main des Philistins; et maintenant il a dû fuir du pays devant Absalom.(FR) 10 ׃19 וַיְהִ֤י כָל־הָעָם֙ נָד֔וֹן בְּכָל־שִׁבְטֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ הִצִּילָ֣נוּ ׀ מִכַּ֣ף אֹיְבֵ֗ינוּ וְה֤וּא מִלְּטָ֙נוּ֙ מִכַּ֣ף פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים וְעַתָּ֛ה בָּרַ֥ח מִן־הָאָ֖רֶץ מֵעַ֥ל אַבְשָׁלֽוֹם׃ Samuel2 2Sa 19:9 All the people were quarreling throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, "The king delivered us from the hand of our enemies and saved us from the hand of the Philistines, but now he has fled out of the land from Absalom.(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 19:10 ============ 2Sa 19:10 And Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why speak ye not a word of bringing the king back?(KJV) 2 Samuel 19:10 And Absalom, whome we anoynted ouer vs, is dead in battel: therefore why are ye so slow to bring the King againe?(Geneva) 2 Samuel 19:10 Or Absalom, que nous avions oint pour qu'il régnât sur nous, est mort dans la bataille: pourquoi ne parlez-vous pas de faire revenir le roi?(FR) 11 ׃19 וְאַבְשָׁלוֹם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר מָשַׁ֣חְנוּ עָלֵ֔ינוּ מֵ֖ת בַּמִּלְחָמָ֑ה וְעַתָּ֗ה לָמָ֥ה אַתֶּ֛ם מַחֲרִשִׁ֖ים לְהָשִׁ֥יב אֶת־הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ ס Samuel2 2Sa 19:10 However, Absalom, whom we anointed over us, has died in battle. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan;(KJV) 2 Samuel 19:18 And there went ouer a boate to carie ouer the Kings houshold, and to do him pleasure. Then Shimei the sonne of Gera fell before the King, when he was come ouer Iorden,(Geneva) 2 Samuel 19:18 Le bateau, mis à la disposition du roi, faisait la traversée pour transporter sa maison; et au moment où le roi allait passer le Jourdain, Schimeï, fils de Guéra, se prosterna devant lui.(FR) 19 ׃19 וְעָבְרָ֣ה הָעֲבָרָ֗ה לַֽעֲבִיר֙ אֶת־בֵּ֣ית הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְלַעֲשׂ֥וֹת הַטּ֖וֹב *בעינו **בְּעֵינָ֑יו וְשִׁמְעִ֣י בֶן־גֵּרָ֗א נָפַל֙ לִפְנֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ בְּעָבְר֖וֹ בַּיַּרְדֵּֽן׃ Samuel2 2Sa 19:18 Then they kept crossing the ford to bring over the king's household, and to do what was good in his sight. Hath thy seruant any taste in that I eat or in that I drinke? Can I heare any more the voyce of singing men and women?
