And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentiles: and the people fled from the Philistines.(KJV) 2 Samuel 23:11 After him was Shammah the sonne of Age the Hararite: for the Philistims assembled at a towne, where was a piece of a fielde full of lentils, and the people fled from the Philistims.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 23:11 Après lui, Schamma, fils d'Agué, d'Harar. And the Philistines were gathered into a troop where there was a plot of ground full of lentils, and the people fled from the Philistines.(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 23:12 ============ 2Sa 23:12 But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory.(KJV) 2 Samuel 23:12 But he stoode in the middes of the fielde, and defended it, and slewe the Philistims: so the Lorde gaue great victorie.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 23:12 Schamma se plaça au milieu du champ, le protégea, et battit les Philistins. Ils l'apportèrent et la présentèrent à David; mais il ne voulut pas la boire, et il la répandit devant l'Eternel.(FR) 16 ׃23 וַיִּבְקְעוּ֩ שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת הַגִּבֹּרִ֜ים בְּמַחֲנֵ֣ה פְלִשְׁתִּ֗ים וַיִּֽשְׁאֲבוּ־מַ֙יִם֙ מִבֹּ֤אר בֵּֽית־לֶ֙חֶם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּשַּׁ֔עַר וַיִּשְׂא֖וּ וַיָּבִ֣אוּ אֶל־דָּוִ֑ד וְלֹ֤א אָבָה֙ לִשְׁתּוֹתָ֔ם וַיַּסֵּ֥ךְ אֹתָ֖ם לַֽיהוָֽה׃ Samuel2 2Sa 23:16 So the three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines, and drew water from the well of Bethlehem which was by the gate, and took it and brought it to David. Nevertheless he would not drink it, but poured it out to the Lord;(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 23:17 ============ 2Sa 23:17 And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.(KJV) 2 Samuel 23:17 And said, O Lord, be it farre from me, that I should doe this. Is not this the blood of the men that went in ieopardie of their liues? Voilà ce que firent ces trois vaillants hommes.(FR) 17 ׃23 וַיֹּ֡אמֶר חָלִילָה֩ לִּ֨י יְהוָ֜ה מֵעֲשֹׂ֣תִי זֹ֗את הֲדַ֤ם הָֽאֲנָשִׁים֙ הַהֹלְכִ֣ים בְּנַפְשׁוֹתָ֔ם וְלֹ֥א אָבָ֖ה לִשְׁתּוֹתָ֑ם אֵ֣לֶּה עָשׂ֔וּ שְׁלֹ֖שֶׁת הַגִּבֹּרִֽים׃ ס Samuel2 2Sa 23:17 and he said, "Be it far from me, O Lord, that I should do this. Shall I drink the blood of the men who went in jeopardy of their lives?" Therefore he would not drink it. These things the three mighty men did.(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 23:18 ============ 2Sa 23:18 And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief among three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred, and slew them, and had the name among three.(KJV) 2 Samuel 23:18 And Abishai the brother of Ioab, the sonne of Zeruiah, was chiefe among the three, and he lifted vp his speare against three hundreth, and slewe them, and he had the name among the three.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 23:18 Abischaï, frère de Joab, fils de Tseruja, était le chef des trois.
