And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.(KJV) 2 Samuel 21:1 Then there was a famine in the dayes of Dauid, three yeeres together: and Dauid asked counsell of the Lorde, and the Lorde answered, It is for Saul, & for his bloodie house, because hee slewe the Gibeonites.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 21:1 Du temps de David, il y eut une famine qui dura trois ans. David chercha la face de l'Eternel, et l'Eternel dit: C'est à cause de Saül et de sa maison sanguinaire, c'est parce qu'il a fait périr les Gabaonites.(FR) 1 ׃21 וַיְהִ֣י רָעָב֩ בִּימֵ֨י דָוִ֜ד שָׁלֹ֣שׁ שָׁנִ֗ים שָׁנָה֙ אַחֲרֵ֣י שָׁנָ֔ה וַיְבַקֵּ֥שׁ דָּוִ֖ד אֶת־פְּנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה ס וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהוָ֗ה אֶל־שָׁאוּל֙ וְאֶל־בֵּ֣ית הַדָּמִ֔ים עַֽל־אֲשֶׁר־הֵמִ֖ית אֶת־הַגִּבְעֹנִֽים׃ Samuel2 2Sa 21:1 Now there was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David sought the presence of the Lord. And how can I make atonement that you may bless the inheritance of the Lord?"(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 21:4 ============ 2Sa 21:4 And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you.(KJV) 2 Samuel 21:4 The Gibeonites then answered him, Wee will haue no siluer nor golde of Saul nor of his house, neither for vs shalt thou kill any man in Israel; he said, What ye shall say, that will I doe for you.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 21:4 Les Gabaonites lui répondirent: Ce n'est pas pour nous une question d'argent et d'or avec Saül et avec sa maison, et ce n'est pas à nous qu'il appartient de faire mourir personne en Israël. Et le roi dit: Que voulez-vous donc que je fasse pour vous?(FR) 4 ׃21 וַיֹּ֧אמְרוּ ל֣וֹ הַגִּבְעֹנִ֗ים אֵֽין־*לי **לָ֜נוּ כֶּ֤סֶף וְזָהָב֙ עִם־שָׁא֣וּל וְעִם־בֵּית֔וֹ וְאֵֽין־לָ֥נוּ אִ֖ישׁ לְהָמִ֣ית בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיֹּ֛אמֶר מָֽה־אַתֶּ֥ם אֹמְרִ֖ים אֶעֱשֶׂ֥ה לָכֶֽם׃ Samuel2 2Sa 21:4 Then the Gibeonites said to him, "We have no concern of silver or gold with Saul or his house, nor is it for us to put any man to death in Israel." And the king said, I will give them.(KJV) 2 Samuel 21:6 Let seuen men of his sonnes be deliuered vnto vs, and we will hang them vp vnto the Lord in Gibeah of Saul, the Lordes chosen; the King said, I will giue them.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 21:6 qu'on nous livre sept hommes d'entre ses fils, et nous les pendrons devant l'Eternel à Guibea de Saül, l'élu de l'Eternel. Et le roi dit: Je les livrerai.(FR) 6 ׃21 *ינתן־**יֻתַּן־לָ֜נוּ שִׁבְעָ֤ה אֲנָשִׁים֙ מִבָּנָ֔יו וְהוֹקֽ͏ַעֲנוּם֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה בְּגִבְעַ֥ת שָׁא֖וּל בְּחִ֣יר יְהוָ֑ה ס וַיֹּ֥אמֶר הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ אֲנִ֥י אֶתֵּֽן׃ Samuel2 2Sa 21:6 let seven men from his sons be given to us, and we will hang them before the Lord in Gibeah of Saul, the chosen of the Lord." And the king said, "I will give them."(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 21:7 ============ 2Sa 21:7 But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.(KJV) 2 Samuel 21:7 But the King had compassion on Mephibosheth the sonne of Ionathan the sonne of Saul, because of the Lordes othe, that was betweene them, euen betweene Dauid and Ionathan the sonne of Saul.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 21:7 Le roi épargna Mephiboscheth, fils de Jonathan, fils de Saül, à cause du serment qu'avaient fait entre eux, devant l'Eternel, David et Jonathan, fils de Saül.(FR) 7 ׃21 וַיַּחְמֹ֣ל הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ עַל־מְפִי־בֹ֖שֶׁת בֶּן־יְהוֹנָתָ֣ן בֶּן־שָׁא֑וּל עַל־שְׁבֻעַ֤ת יְהוָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בֵּֽינֹתָ֔ם בֵּ֣ין דָּוִ֔ד וּבֵ֖ין יְהוֹנָתָ֥ן בֶּן־שָׁאֽוּל׃ Samuel2 2Sa 21:7 But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the oath of the Lord which was between them, between David and Saul's son Jonathan.(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 21:8 ============ 2Sa 21:8 But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:(KJV) 2 Samuel 21:8 But the King tooke the two sonnes of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whome shee bare vnto Saul, euen Armoni & Mephibosheth and the fiue sonnes of Michal, the daughter of Saul, whome shee bare to Adriel the sonne of Barzillai the Meholathite.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 21:8 Mais le roi prit les deux fils que Ritspa, fille d'Ajja, avait enfantés à Saül, Armoni et Mephiboscheth, et les cinq fils que Mérab, fille de Saül, avait enfantés à Adriel de Mehola, fils de Barzillaï;(FR) 8 ׃21 וַיִּקַּ֣ח הַמֶּ֡לֶךְ אֶת־שְׁ֠נֵי בְּנֵ֨י רִצְפָּ֤ה בַת־אַיָּה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יָלְדָ֣ה לְשָׁא֔וּל אֶת־אַרְמֹנִ֖י וְאֶת־מְפִבֹ֑שֶׁת וְאֶת־חֲמֵ֗שֶׁת בְּנֵי֙ מִיכַ֣ל בַּת־שָׁא֔וּל אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָלְדָ֛ה לְעַדְרִיאֵ֥ל בֶּן־בַּרְזִלַּ֖י הַמְּחֹלָתִֽי׃ Samuel2 2Sa 21:8 So the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, Armoni and Mephibosheth whom she had borne to Saul, and the five sons of Merab the daughter of Saul, whom she had borne to Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite.(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 21:9 ============ 2Sa 21:9 And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.(KJV) 2 Samuel 21:9 And hee deliuered them vnto the handes of the Gibeonites, which hanged them in the mountaine before the Lord: so they died all seuen together, and they were slaine in the time of haruest: in the first dayes, and in the beginning of barly haruest.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 21:9 et il les livra entre les mains des Gabaonites, qui les pendirent sur la montagne, devant l'Eternel. and they were put to death in the first days of harvest at the beginning of barley harvest.(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 21:10 ============ 2Sa 21:10 And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.(KJV) 2 Samuel 21:10 Then Rizpah the daughter of Aiah tooke sackecloth and hanged it vp for her vpon the rocke, from the beginning of haruest, vntill water dropped vpon them from the heauen, and suffered neither the birdes of the aire to light on the by day, nor beasts of the fielde by night.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 21:10 Ritspa, fille d'Ajja, prit un sac et l'étendit sous elle contre le rocher, depuis le commencement de la moisson jusqu'à ce que la pluie du ciel tombât sur eux; et elle empêcha les oiseaux du ciel de s'approcher d'eux pendant le jour, et les bêtes des champs pendant la nuit.(FR) 10 ׃21 וַתִּקַּ֣ח רִצְפָּה֩ בַת־אַיָּ֨ה אֶת־הַשַּׂ֜ק וַתַּטֵּ֨הוּ לָ֤הּ אֶל־הַצּוּר֙ מִתְּחִלַּ֣ת קָצִ֔יר עַ֛ד נִתַּךְ־מַ֥יִם עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם מִן־הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וְלֹֽא־נָתְנָה֩ ע֨וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֜יִם לָנ֤וּחַ עֲלֵיהֶם֙ יוֹמָ֔ם וְאֶת־חַיַּ֥ת הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה לָֽיְלָה׃ Samuel2 2Sa 21:10 And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth and spread it for herself on the rock, from the beginning of harvest until it rained on them from the sky; and she allowed neither the birds of the sky to rest on them by day nor the beasts of the field by night.(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 21:11 ============ 2Sa 21:11 And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.(KJV) 2 Samuel 21:11 And it was told Dauid, what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah ye concubine of Saul had done.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 21:11 On informa David de ce qu'avait fait Ritspa, fille d'Ajja, concubine de Saül.(FR) 11 ׃21 וַיֻּגַּ֖ד לְדָוִ֑ד אֵ֧ת אֲשֶׁר־עָשְׂתָ֛ה רִצְפָּ֥ה בַת־אַיָּ֖ה פִּלֶ֥גֶשׁ שָׁאֽוּל׃ Samuel2 2Sa 21:11 When it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done,(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 21:12 ============ 2Sa 21:12 And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabeshgilead, which had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa:(KJV) 2 Samuel 21:12 And Dauid went and tooke the bones of Saul and the bones of Ionathan his sonne from the citizens of Iabesh Gilead, which had stollen them from the streete of Beth-shan, where the Philistims had hanged them, when the Philistims had slaine Saul in Gilboa.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 21:12 Et David alla prendre les os de Saül et les os de Jonathan, son fils, chez les habitants de Jabès en Galaad, qui les avaient enlevés de la place de Beth-Schan, où les Philistins les avaient suspendus lorsqu'ils battirent Saül à Guilboa.(FR) 12 ׃21 וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ דָּוִ֗ד וַיִּקַּ֞ח אֶת־עַצְמ֤וֹת שָׁאוּל֙ וְאֶת־עַצְמוֹת֙ יְהוֹנָתָ֣ן בְּנ֔וֹ מֵאֵ֕ת בַּעֲלֵ֖י יָבֵ֣ישׁ גִּלְעָ֑ד אֲשֶׁר֩ גָּנְב֨וּ אֹתָ֜ם מֵרְחֹ֣ב בֵּֽית־שַׁ֗ן אֲשֶׁ֨ר *תלום **תְּלָא֥וּם *שם *הפלשתים **שָׁ֙מָּה֙ **פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים בְּי֨וֹם הַכּ֧וֹת פְּלִשְׁתִּ֛ים אֶת־שָׁא֖וּל בַּגִּלְבֹּֽעַ׃ Samuel2 2Sa 21:12 then David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabesh-gilead, who had stolen them from the open square of Beth-shan, where the Philistines had hanged them on the day the Philistines struck down Saul in Gilboa.(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 21:13 ============ 2Sa 21:13 And he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; et l'on recueillit aussi les os de ceux qui avaient été pendus.(FR) 13 ׃21 וַיַּ֤עַל מִשָּׁם֙ אֶת־עַצְמ֣וֹת שָׁא֔וּל וְאֶת־עַצְמ֖וֹת יְהוֹנָתָ֣ן בְּנ֑וֹ וַיַּ֣אַסְפ֔וּ אֶת־עַצְמ֖וֹת הַמּוּקָעִֽים׃ Samuel2 2Sa 21:13 He brought up the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from there, and they gathered the bones of those who had been hanged.(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 21:14 ============ 2Sa 21:14 And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was intreated for the land.(KJV) 2 Samuel 21:14 And the bones of Saul and of Ionathan his sonne buried they in the coutrey of Beniamin in Zelah, in the graue of Kish his father: and when they had perfourmed all that the King had commaunded, God was then appeased with the land.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 21:14 On enterra les os de Saül et de Jonathan, son fils, au pays de Benjamin, à Tséla, dans le sépulcre de Kis, père de Saül. Après cela, Dieu fut apaisé envers le pays.(FR) 14 ׃21 וַיִּקְבְּר֣וּ אֶת־עַצְמוֹת־שָׁא֣וּל וִיהוֹנָֽתָן־בְּ֠נוֹ בְּאֶ֨רֶץ בִּנְיָמִ֜ן בְּצֵלָ֗ע בְּקֶ֙בֶר֙ קִ֣ישׁ אָבִ֔יו וַֽיַּעֲשׂ֔וּ כֹּ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֖ה הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַיֵּעָתֵ֧ר אֱלֹהִ֛ים לָאָ֖רֶץ אַֽחֲרֵי־כֵֽן׃ פ Samuel2 2Sa 21:14 They buried the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son in the country of Benjamin in Zela, in the grave of Kish his father; thus they did all that the king commanded, and after that God was moved by prayer for the land.(nasb) ======= 2 Samuel 21:15 ============ 2Sa 21:15 Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint.(KJV) 2 Samuel 21:15 Againe the Philistims had warre with Israel: and Dauid went downe, and his seruants with him, and they fought against the Philistims, and Dauid fainted.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 21:15 Les Philistins firent encore la guerre à Israël. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel.(KJV) 2 Samuel 21:17 But Abishai the sonne of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistim, and killed him. Then Dauids men sware vnto him, saying, Thou shalt goe no more out with vs to battell, lest thou quench the light of Israel.(Geneva) 2 Samuel 21:17 Abischaï, fils de Tseruja, vint au secours de David, frappa le Philistin et le tua.
