Today's Date: 4/4/2025 ======= Jonah 3:1 ============ Jon 3:1 And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,(KJV) Jonah 3:1 And the worde of the Lorde came vnto Ionah the seconde time, saying,(Geneva) Jonas 3:1 La parole de l'Eternel fut adressée à Jonas une seconde fois, en ces mots:(FR) 1 ׃3 וַיְהִ֧י דְבַר־יְהוָ֛ה אֶל־יוֹנָ֖ה שֵׁנִ֥ית לֵאמֹֽר׃ Jonah Jon 3:1 Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time, saying, (nasb) ======= Jonah 3:2 ============ Jon 3:2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.(KJV) Jonah 3:2 Arise, goe vnto Nineueh that great citie, & preach vnto it the preaching, which I bid thee.(Geneva) Jonas 3:2 Lève-toi, va à Ninive, la grande ville, et proclames-y la publication que je t'ordonne!(FR) 2 ׃3 ק֛וּם לֵ֥ךְ אֶל־נִֽינְוֵ֖ה הָעִ֣יר הַגְּדוֹלָ֑ה וִּקְרָ֤א אֵלֶ֙יהָ֙ אֶת־הַקְּרִיאָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר אָנֹכִ֖י דֹּבֵ֥ר אֵלֶֽיךָ׃ Jonah Jon 3:2 "Arise, go to Nineveh the great city and proclaim to it the proclamation which I am going to tell you."(nasb) ======= Jonah 3:3 ============ Jon 3:3 So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey.(KJV) Jonah 3:3 So Ionah arose & went to Nineueh according to ye word of the Lord: now Nineueh was a great & excellent citie of three dayes iourney.(Geneva) Jonas 3:3 Et Jonas se leva, et alla à Ninive, selon la parole de l'Eternel. Or Ninive était une très grande ville, de trois jours de marche.(FR) 3 ׃3 וַיָּ֣קָם יוֹנָ֗ה וַיֵּ֛לֶךְ אֶל־נִֽינְוֵ֖[t]ה כִּדְבַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה וְנִֽינְוֵ֗ה הָיְתָ֤ה עִיר־גְּדוֹלָה֙ לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים מַהֲלַ֖ךְ שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת יָמִֽים׃ Jonah Jon 3:3 So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, a three days' walk. (nasb) ======= Jonah 3:4 ============ Jon 3:4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.(KJV) Jonah 3:4 And Ionah began to enter into the citie a dayes iourney, and he cryed, and said, Yet fourtie dayes, and Nineueh shalbe ouerthrowen.(Geneva) Jonas 3:4 Jonas fit d'abord dans la ville une journée de marche; il criait et disait: Encore quarante jours, et Ninive est détruite!(FR) 4 ׃3 וַיָּ֤חֶל יוֹנָה֙ לָב֣וֹא בָעִ֔יר מַהֲלַ֖ךְ י֣וֹם אֶחָ֑ד וַיִּקְרָא֙ וַיֹּאמַ֔ר ע֚וֹד אַרְבָּעִ֣ים י֔וֹם וְנִֽינְוֵ֖ה נֶהְפָּֽכֶת׃ Jonah Jon 3:4 Then Jonah began to go through the city one day's walk; and he cried out and said, "Yet forty days and Nineveh will be overthrown."(nasb) ======= Jonah 3:5 ============ Jon 3:5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.(KJV) Jonah 3:5 So the people of Nineueh beleeued God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth from ye greatest of the euen to the least of them.(Geneva) Jonas 3:5 Les gens de Ninive crurent à Dieu, ils publièrent un jeûne, et se revêtirent de sacs, depuis les plus grands jusqu'aux plus petits.(FR) 5 ׃3 וַֽיַּאֲמִ֛ינוּ אַנְשֵׁ֥י נִֽינְוֵ֖ה בֵּֽאלֹהִ֑ים וַיִּקְרְאוּ־צוֹם֙ וַיִּלְבְּשׁ֣וּ שַׂקִּ֔ים מִגְּדוֹלָ֖ם וְעַד־קְטַנָּֽם׃ Jonah Jon 3:5 Then the people of Nineveh believed in God; and they called a fast and put on sackcloth from the greatest to the least of them. (nasb) ======= Jonah 3:6 ============ Jon 3:6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.(KJV) Jonah 3:6 For worde came vnto the King of Nineueh, and he rose from his throne, and he layed his robe from him, and couered him with sackecloth, and sate in ashes.(Geneva) Jonas 3:6 La chose parvint au roi de Ninive; il se leva de son trône, ôta son manteau, se couvrit d'un sac, et s'assit sur la cendre.(FR) 6 ׃3 וַיִּגַּ֤ע הַדָּבָר֙ אֶל־מֶ֣לֶך נִֽינְוֵ֔ה וַיָּ֙קָם֙ מִכִּסְא֔וֹ וַיַּעֲבֵ֥ר אַדַּרְתּ֖וֹ מֵֽעָלָ֑יו וַיְכַ֣ס שַׂ֔ק וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב עַל־הָאֵֽפֶר׃ Jonah Jon 3:6 When the word reached the king of Nineveh, he arose from his throne, laid aside his robe from him, covered himself with sackcloth and sat on the ashes. (nasb) ======= Jonah 3:7 ============ Jon 3:7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:(KJV) Jonah 3:7 And he proclaimed & said through Nineueh, (by the counsell of ye king & his nobles) saying, Let neither ma, nor beast, bullock nor sheep taste any thing, neither feed nor drinke water.(Geneva) Jonas 3:7 Et il fit faire dans Ninive cette publication, par ordre du roi et de ses grands; Que les hommes et les bêtes, les boeufs et les brebis, ne goûtent de rien, ne paissent point, et ne boivent point d'eau!(FR) 7 ׃3 וַיַּזְעֵ֗ק וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ בְּנִֽינְוֵ֔ה מִטַּ֧עַם הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ וּגְדֹלָ֖יו לֵאמֹ֑ר הָאָדָ֨ם וְהַבְּהֵמָ֜ה הַבָּקָ֣ר וְהַצֹּ֗אן אַֽל־יִטְעֲמוּ֙ מְא֔וּמָה אַ֨ל־יִרְע֔וּ וּמַ֖יִם אַל־יִשְׁתּֽוּ׃ Jonah Jon 3:7 He issued a proclamation and it said, "In Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles: Do not let man, beast, herd, or flock taste a thing. Do not let them eat or drink water. (nasb) ======= Jonah 3:8 ============ Jon 3:8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.(KJV) Jonah 3:8 But let man and beast put on sackecloth, and crie mightily vnto God: yea, let euery man turne from his euill way, and from the wickednesse that is in their handes.(Geneva) Jonas 3:8 Que les hommes et les bêtes soient couverts de sacs, qu'ils crient à Dieu avec force, et qu'ils reviennent tous de leur mauvaise voie et des actes de violence dont leurs mains sont coupables!(FR) 8 ׃3 וְיִתְכַּסּ֣וּ שַׂקִּ֗ים הָֽאָדָם֙ וְהַבְּהֵמָ֔ה וְיִקְרְא֥וּ אֶל־אֱלֹהִ֖ים בְּחָזְקָ֑ה וְיָשֻׁ֗בוּ אִ֚ישׁ מִדַּרְכּ֣וֹ הָֽרָעָ֔ה וּמִן־הֶחָמָ֖ס אֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּכַפֵּיהֶֽם׃ Jonah Jon 3:8 But both man and beast must be covered with sackcloth; and let men call on God earnestly that each may turn from his wicked way and from the violence which is in his hands. (nasb) ======= Jonah 3:9 ============ Jon 3:9 Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?(KJV) Jonah 3:9 Who can tell if God will turne, and repent and turne away from his fierce wrath, that we perish not?(Geneva) Jonas 3:9 Qui sait si Dieu ne reviendra pas et ne se repentira pas, et s'il ne renoncera pas à son ardente colère, en sorte que nous ne périssions point?(FR) 9 ׃3 מִֽי־יוֹדֵ֣עַ יָשׁ֔וּב וְנִחַ֖ם הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים וְשָׁ֛ב מֵחֲר֥וֹן אַפּ֖וֹ וְלֹ֥א נֹאבֵֽד׃ Jonah Jon 3:9 Who knows, God may turn and relent and withdraw His burning anger so that we will not perish."(nasb) ======= Jonah 3:10 ============ Jon 3:10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.(kjv) Jonah 3:10 And God sawe their workes that they turned from their euill wayes: and God repented of the euill that he had said that he woulde doe vnto them, and he did it not.(Geneva) Jonas 3:10 Dieu vit qu'ils agissaient ainsi et qu'ils revenaient de leur mauvaise voie. Alors Dieu se repentit du mal qu'il avait résolu de leur faire, et il ne le fit pas.(FR) 10 ׃3 וַיַּ֤רְא הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ אֶֽת־מַ֣עֲשֵׂיהֶ֔ם כִּי־שָׁ֖בוּ מִדַּרְכָּ֣ם הָרָעָ֑ה וַיִּנָּ֣חֶם הָאֱלֹהִ֗ים עַל־הָרָעָ֛ה אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּ֥ר לַעֲשׂוֹת־לָהֶ֖ם וְלֹ֥א עָשָֽׂה׃ Jonah Jon 3:10 When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their wicked way, then God relented concerning the calamity which He had declared He would bring upon them. And He did not do it. (nasb) ======= Jonah 4:1 ============ Jon 4:1 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry.(KJV) Jonah 4:1 Therefore it displeased Ionah exceedingly, and he was angry.(Geneva) Jonas 4:1 Cela déplut fort à Jonas, et il fut irrité.(FR) |
