Et il dit: Frappe les chapiteaux et que les seuils s'ébranlent, Et brise-les sur leurs têtes à tous! Je ferai périr le reste par l'épée. Aucun d'eux ne pourra se sauver en fuyant, Aucun d'eux n'échappera.(FR) 1 ׃9 רָאִ֨יתִי אֶת־אֲדֹנָ֜י נִצָּ֣ב עַֽל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֗חַ וַיֹּאמֶר֩ הַ֨ךְ הַכַּפְתּ֜וֹר וְיִרְעֲשׁ֣וּ הַסִּפִּ֗ים וּבְצַ֙עַם֙ בְּרֹ֣אשׁ כֻּלָּ֔ם וְאַחֲרִיתָ֖ם בַּחֶ֣רֶב אֶהֱרֹ֑ג לֹֽא־יָנ֤וּס לָהֶם֙ נָ֔ס וְלֹֽא־יִמָּלֵ֥ט לָהֶ֖ם פָּלִֽיט׃ Amos Amo 9:1 I saw the Lord standing beside the altar, and He said, "Smite the capitals so that the thresholds will shake, And break them on the heads of them all! Then I will slay the rest of them with the sword; They will not have a fugitive who will flee, Or a refugee who will escape. (nasb) ======= Amos 9:2 ============ Amo 9:2 Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:(KJV) Amos 9:2 Though they digge into the hel, thence shal mine hande take them: though they clime vp to heauen, thence will I bring them downe.(Geneva) Amos 9:2 S'ils pénètrent dans le séjour des morts, Ma main les en arrachera; S'ils montent aux cieux, Je les en ferai descendre.(FR) 2 ׃9 אִם־יַחְתְּר֣וּ בִשְׁא֔וֹל מִשָּׁ֖ם יָדִ֣י תִקָּחֵ֑ם וְאִֽם־יַעֲלוּ֙ הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם מִשָּׁ֖ם אוֹרִידֵֽם׃ Amos Amo 9:2 "Though they dig into Sheol, From there will My hand take them; And though they ascend to heaven, From there will I bring them down. (nasb) ======= Amos 9:3 ============ Amo 9:3 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:(KJV) Amos 9:3 And though they hide them selues in the toppe of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence: and though they be hid from my sight in the bottome of the sea, thence will I commande the serpent, and he shall bite them.(Geneva) Amos 9:3 S'ils se cachent au sommet du Carmel, Je les y chercherai et je les saisirai; S'ils se dérobent à mes regards dans le fond de la mer, Là j'ordonnerai au serpent de les mordre.(FR) 3 ׃9 וְאִם־יֵחָֽבְאוּ֙ בְּרֹ֣אשׁ הַכַּרְמֶ֔ל מִשָּׁ֥ם אֲחַפֵּ֖שׂ וּלְקַחְתִּ֑ים וְאִם־יִסָּ֨תְר֜וּ מִנֶּ֤גֶד עֵינַי֙ בְּקַרְקַ֣ע הַיָּ֔ם מִשָּׁ֛ם אֲצַוֶּ֥ה אֶת־הַנָּחָ֖שׁ וּנְשָׁכָֽם׃ Amos Amo 9:3 "Though they hide on the summit of Carmel, I will search them out and take them from there; And though they conceal themselves from My sight on the floor of the sea, From there I will command the serpent and it will bite them. (nasb) ======= Amos 9:4 ============ Amo 9:4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.(KJV) Amos 9:4 And though they goe into captiuitie before their enemies, thence wil I commande the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes vpon them for euill, and not for good.(Geneva) Amos 9:4 S'ils vont en captivité devant leurs ennemis, Là j'ordonnerai à l'épée de les faire périr; Je dirigerai contre eux mes regards Pour faire du mal et non du bien.(FR) 4 ׃9 וְאִם־יֵלְכ֤וּ בַשְּׁבִי֙ לִפְנֵ֣י אֹֽיבֵיהֶ֔ם מִשָּׁ֛ם אֲצַוֶּ֥ה אֶת־הַחֶ֖רֶב וַהֲרָגָ֑תַם וְשַׂמְתִּ֨י עֵינִ֧י עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם לְרָעָ֖ה וְלֹ֥א לְטוֹבָֽה׃ Amos Amo 9:4 "And though they go into captivity before their enemies, From there I will command the sword that it slay them, And I will set My eyes against them for evil and not for good."(nasb) ======= Amos 9:5 ============ Amo 9:5 And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.(KJV) Amos 9:5 And the Lord God of hosts shall touch the land, and it shall melt away, & al that dwel therein shall mourne, and it shall rise vp wholy like a flood, and shall bee drowned as by the flood of Egypt.(Geneva) Amos 9:5 Le Seigneur, l'Eternel des armées, touche la terre, et elle tremble, Et tous ses habitants sont dans le deuil; Elle monte tout entière comme le fleuve, Et elle s'affaisse comme le fleuve d'Egypte.(FR) 5 ׃9 וַאדֹנָ֨י יְהוִ֜ה הַצְּבָא֗וֹת הַנּוֹגֵ֤עַ בָּאָ֙רֶץ֙ וַתָּמ֔וֹג וְאָבְל֖וּ כָּל־י֣וֹשְׁבֵי בָ֑הּ וְעָלְתָ֤ה כַיְאֹר֙ כֻּלָּ֔הּ וְשָׁקְעָ֖ה כִּיאֹ֥ר מִצְרָֽיִם Amos Amo 9:5 The Lord God of hosts, The One who touches the land so that it melts, And all those who dwell in it mourn, And all of it rises up like the Nile And subsides like the Nile of Egypt; (nasb) ======= Amos 9:6 ============ Amo 9:6 It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.(KJV) Amos 9:6 He buildeth his spheres in the heauen, and hath layde the foundation of his globe of elementes in the earth: hee calleth the waters of the sea, and powreth them out vpon the open earth: the Lorde is his Name.(Geneva) Amos 9:6 Il a bâti sa demeure dans les cieux, Et fondé sa voûte sur la terre; Il appelle les eaux de la mer, Et les répand à la surface de la terre: L'Eternel est son nom.(FR) 6 ׃9 הַבּוֹנֶ֤ה בַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ *מעלותו **מַעֲלוֹתָ֔יו וַאֲגֻדָּת֖וֹ עַל־אֶ֣רֶץ יְסָדָ֑הּ הַקֹּרֵ֣א לְמֵֽי־הַיָּ֗ם וַֽיִּשְׁפְּכֵ֛ם עַל־פְּנֵ֥י הָאָ֖רֶץ יְהוָ֥ה שְׁמֽוֹ׃ Amos Amo 9:6 The One who builds His upper chambers in the heavens And has founded His vaulted dome over the earth, He who calls for the waters of the sea And pours them out on the face of the earth, The Lord is His name. (nasb) ======= Amos 9:7 ============ Amo 9:7 Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?(KJV) Amos 9:7 Are ye not as the Ethiopians vnto mee, O children of Israel, sayeth the Lorde? haue not I brought vp Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistims from Caphtor, and Aram fro Kir?(Geneva) Amos 9:7 N'êtes-vous pas pour moi comme les enfants des Ethiopiens, Enfants d'Israël? dit l'Eternel. N'ai-je pas fait sortir Israël du pays d'Egypte, Comme les Philistins de Caphtor et les Syriens de Kir?(FR) 7 ׃9 הֲל֣וֹא כִבְנֵי֩ כֻשִׁיִּ֨ים אַתֶּ֥ם לִ֛י בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל נְאֻם־יְהוָ֑ה הֲל֣וֹא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל הֶעֱלֵ֙יתִי֙ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם וּפְלִשְׁתִּיִּ֥ים מִכַּפְתּ֖וֹר וַאֲרָ֥ם מִקִּֽיר׃ Amos Amo 9:7 "Are you not as the sons of Ethiopia to Me, O sons of Israel?" declares the Lord. "Have I not brought up Israel from the land of Egypt, And the Philistines from Caphtor and the Arameans from Kir? (nasb) ======= Amos 9:8 ============ Amo 9:8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD.(KJV) Amos 9:8 Beholde, the eyes of the Lord God are vpon the sinfull kingdome, and I will destroy it cleane out of the earth. Neuerthelesse I will not vtterly destroy the house of Iaakob, saith the Lord.(Geneva) Amos 9:8 Voici, le Seigneur, l'Eternel, a les yeux sur le royaume coupable. Je le détruirai de dessus la face de la terre; Toutefois je ne détruirai pas entièrement la maison de Jacob, Dit l'Eternel.(FR) 8 ׃9 הִנֵּ֞ה עֵינֵ֣י ׀ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֗ה בַּמַּמְלָכָה֙ הַֽחַטָּאָ֔ה וְהִשְׁמַדְתִּ֣י אֹתָ֔הּ מֵעַ֖ל פְּנֵ֣י הָאֲדָמָ֑ה אֶ֗פֶס כִּ֠י לֹ֣א הַשְׁמֵ֥יד אַשְׁמִ֛יד אֶת־בֵּ֥ית יַעֲקֹ֖ב נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ Amos Amo 9:8 "Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are on the sinful kingdom, And I will destroy it from the face of the earth; Nevertheless, I will not totally destroy the house of Jacob," Declares the Lord. (nasb) ======= Amos 9:9 ============ Amo 9:9 For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.(KJV) Amos 9:9 For loe, I will command and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corne is sifted in a sieue: yet shall not the least stone fall vpon the earth.(Geneva) Amos 9:9 Car voici, je donnerai mes ordres, Et je secouerai la maison d'Israël parmi toutes les nations, Comme on secoue avec le crible, Sans qu'il tombe à terre un seul grain.(FR) 9 ׃9 כִּֽי־הִנֵּ֤ה אָֽנֹכִי֙ מְצַוֶּ֔ה וַהֲנִע֥וֹתִי בְכָֽל־הַגּוֹיִ֖ם אֶת־בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר יִנּ֙וֹעַ֙ בַּכְּבָרָ֔ה וְלֹֽא־יִפּ֥וֹל צְר֖וֹר אָֽרֶץ׃ Amos Amo 9:9 "For behold, I am commanding, And I will shake the house of Israel among all nations As grain is shaken in a sieve, But not a kernel will fall to the ground. (nasb) ======= Amos 9:15 ============ Amo 9:15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.(kjv) Amos 9:15 And I wil plant them vpon their land, and they shall no more bee pulled vp againe out of their lande, which I haue giuen them, sayeth the Lord thy God.(Geneva) Amos 9:15 Je les planterai dans leur pays, Et ils ne seront plus arrachés du pays que je leur ai donné, Dit L'Eternel, ton Dieu.(FR) 15 ׃9 וּנְטַעְתִּ֖ים עַל־אַדְמָתָ֑ם וְלֹ֨א יִנָּתְשׁ֜וּ ע֗וֹד מֵעַ֤ל אַדְמָתָם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נָתַ֣תִּי לָהֶ֔ם אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ Amos Amo 9:15 "I will also plant them on their land, And they will not again be rooted out from their land Which I have given them," Says the Lord your God.
