Voici, il formait des sauterelles, Au moment où le regain commençait à croître; C'était le regain après la coupe du roi.(FR) 1 ׃7 כֹּ֤ה הִרְאַ֙נִי֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה וְהִנֵּה֙ יוֹצֵ֣ר גֹּבַ֔י בִּתְחִלַּ֖ת עֲל֣וֹת הַלָּ֑קֶשׁ וְהִ֨נֵּה־לֶ֔קֶשׁ אַחַ֖ר גִּזֵּ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ Amos Amo 7:1 Thus the Lord God showed me, and behold, He was forming a locust-swarm when the spring crop began to sprout. And behold, the spring crop was after the king's mowing. (nasb) ======= Amos 7:2 ============ Amo 7:2 And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord GOD, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.(KJV) Amos 7:2 And when they had made an ende of eating the grasse of the land, then I saide, O Lorde God, spare, I beseeche thee: who shal raise vp Iaakob? for he is small.(Geneva) Amos 7:2 Et comme elles dévoraient entièrement l'herbe de la terre, Je dis: Seigneur Eternel, pardonne donc! Comment Jacob subsistera-t-il? Car il est si faible!(FR) 2 ׃7 וְהָיָ֗ה אִם־כִּלָּה֙ לֶֽאֱכֹל֙ אֶת־עֵ֣שֶׂב הָאָ֔רֶץ וָאֹמַ֗ר אֲדֹנָ֤י יְהוִה֙ סְֽלַֽח־נָ֔א מִ֥י יָק֖וּם יַֽעֲקֹ֑ב כִּ֥י קָטֹ֖ן הֽוּא׃ Amos Amo 7:2 And it came about, when it had finished eating the vegetation of the land, that I said, "Lord God, please pardon! How can Jacob stand, For he is small?"(nasb) ======= Amos 7:3 ============ Amo 7:3 The LORD repented for this: It shall not be, saith the LORD.(KJV) Amos 7:3 So the Lord repented for this. (nasb) ======= Amos 7:4 ============ Amo 7:4 Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.(KJV) Amos 7:4 Thus also hath the Lord God shewed vnto me, and behold, the Lord God called to iudgement by fire, and it deuoured the great deepe, and did eate vp a part.(Geneva) Amos 7:4 Le Seigneur, l'Eternel, m'envoya cette vision. Voici, le Seigneur, l'Eternel, proclamait le châtiment par le feu; Et le feu dévorait le grand abîme Et dévorait le champ.(FR) 4 ׃7 כֹּ֤ה הִרְאַ֙נִי֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה וְהִנֵּ֥ה קֹרֵ֛א לָרִ֥ב בָּאֵ֖שׁ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה וַתֹּ֙אכַל֙ אֶת־תְּה֣וֹם רַבָּ֔ה וְאָכְלָ֖ה אֶת־הַחֵֽלֶק׃ Amos Amo 7:4 Thus the Lord God showed me, and behold, the Lord God was calling to contend with them by fire, and it consumed the great deep and began to consume the farm land. (nasb) ======= Amos 7:5 ============ Amo 7:5 Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.(KJV) Amos 7:5 Then said I, O Lord God, cease, I beseeche thee: who shal raise vp Iaakob? for he is small.(Geneva) Amos 7:5 Je dis: Seigneur Eternel, arrête donc! Comment Jacob subsistera-t-il? Car il est si faible!(FR) 5 ׃7 וָאֹמַ֗ר אֲדֹנָ֤י יְהוִה֙ חֲדַל־נָ֔א מִ֥י יָק֖וּם יַעֲקֹ֑ב כִּ֥י קָטֹ֖ן הֽוּא׃ Amos Amo 7:5 Then I said, "Lord God, please stop! How can Jacob stand, for he is small?"(nasb) ======= Amos 7:6 ============ Amo 7:6 The LORD repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord GOD.(KJV) Amos 7:6 So the Lord repented for this. (nasb) ======= Amos 7:7 ============ Amo 7:7 Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the LORD stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand.(KJV) Amos 7:7 Thus againe he shewed me, and behold, the Lord stoode vpon a wall made by line with a line in his hand.(Geneva) Amos 7:7 Il m'envoya cette vision. Voici, le Seigneur se tenait sur un mur tiré au cordeau, Et il avait un niveau dans la main.(FR) 7 ׃7 כֹּ֣ה הִרְאַ֔נִי וְהִנֵּ֧ה אֲדֹנָ֛י נִצָּ֖ב עַל־חוֹמַ֣ת אֲנָ֑ךְ וּבְיָד֖וֹ אֲנָֽךְ׃ Amos Amo 7:7 Thus He showed me, and behold, the Lord was standing by a vertical wall with a plumb line in His hand. (nasb) ======= Amos 7:8 ============ Amo 7:8 And the LORD said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the LORD, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:(KJV) Amos 7:8 And the Lorde saide vnto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A line. Then said the Lord, Beholde, I wil set a line in the middes of my people Israel, and wil passe by them no more.(Geneva) Amos 7:8 L'Eternel me dit: Que vois-tu, Amos? And I said, "A plumb line." Then the Lord said, "Behold I am about to put a plumb line In the midst of My people Israel. I will spare them no longer. (nasb) ======= Amos 7:9 ============ Amo 7:9 And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.(KJV) Amos 7:9 And the hye places of Izhak shalbe desolate, and the temples of Israel shalbe destroyed: and I wil rise against the house of Ieroboam with the sworde.(Geneva) Amos 7:9 Les hauts lieux d'Isaac seront ravagés; Les sanctuaires d'Israël seront détruits, Et je me lèverai contre la maison de Jéroboam avec l'épée.(FR) 9 ׃7 וְנָשַׁ֙מּוּ֙ בָּמ֣וֹת יִשְׂחָ֔ק וּמִקְדְּשֵׁ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל יֶחֱרָ֑בוּ וְקַמְתִּ֛י עַל־בֵּ֥ית יָרָבְעָ֖ם בֶּחָֽרֶב׃ פ Amos Amo 7:9 "The high places of Isaac will be desolated And the sanctuaries of Israel laid waste. (nasb) ======= Amos 7:10 ============ Amo 7:10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.(KJV) Amos 7:10 Then Amaziah the Priest of Beth-el sent to Ieroboam King of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the middes of the house of Israel: the lande is not able to beare all his wordes.(Geneva) Amos 7:10 Alors Amatsia, prêtre de Béthel, fit dire à Jéroboam, roi d'Israël: Amos conspire contre toi au milieu de la maison d'Israël; le pays ne peut supporter toutes ses paroles.(FR) 10 ׃7 וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח אֲמַצְיָה֙ כֹּהֵ֣ן בֵּֽית־אֵ֔ל אֶל־יָרָבְעָ֥ם מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר קָשַׁ֨ר עָלֶ֜יךָ עָמ֗וֹס בְּקֶ֙רֶב֙ בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לֹא־תוּכַ֣ל הָאָ֔רֶץ לְהָכִ֖יל אֶת־כָּל־דְּבָרָֽיו׃ Amos Amo 7:10 Then Amaziah, the priest of Bethel, sent word to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, "Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel; the land is unable to endure all his words. (nasb) ======= Amos 7:11 ============ Amo 7:11 For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land.(KJV) Amos 7:11 For thus Amos saith, Ieroboam shal die by the sworde, and Israel shalbe led away captiue out of their owne land.(Geneva) Amos 7:11 Car voici ce que dit Amos: Jéroboam mourra par l'épée, et Israël sera emmené captif loin de son pays.(FR) 11 ׃7 כִּי־כֹה֙ אָמַ֣ר עָמ֔וֹס בַּחֶ֖רֶב יָמ֣וּת יָרָבְעָ֑ם וְיִ֨שְׂרָאֵ֔ל גָּלֹ֥ה יִגְלֶ֖ה מֵעַ֥ל אַדְמָתֽוֹ׃ ס Amos Amo 7:11 For thus Amos says, 'Jeroboam will die by the sword and Israel will certainly go from its land into exile.'"(nasb) ======= Amos 7:12 ============ Amo 7:12 Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:(KJV) Amos 7:12 Also Amaziah sayde vnto Amos, O thou the Seer, goe, flee thou away into the land of Iudah, & there eate thy bread and prophecie there.(Geneva) Amos 7:12 Et Amatsia dit à Amos: Homme à visions, va-t-en, fuis dans le pays de Juda; manges-y ton pain, et là tu prophétiseras.(FR) 12 ׃7 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֲמַצְיָה֙ אֶל־עָמ֔וֹס חֹזֶ֕ה לֵ֥ךְ בְּרַח־לְךָ֖ אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ יְהוּדָ֑ה וֶאֱכָל־שָׁ֣ם לֶ֔חֶם וְשָׁ֖ם תִּנָּבֵֽא׃ Amos Amo 7:12 Then Amaziah said to Amos, "Go, you seer, flee away to the land of Judah and there eat bread and there do your prophesying! (nasb) ======= Amos 7:13 ============ Amo 7:13 But prophesy not again any more at Bethel: for it is the king's chapel, and it is the king's court.(KJV) Amos 7:13 But prophecie no more at Beth-el: for it is the Kings chappel, and it is the Kings court.(Geneva) Amos 7:13 Mais ne continue pas à prophétiser à Béthel, car c'est un sanctuaire du roi, et c'est une maison royale.(FR) 13 ׃7 וּבֵֽית־אֵ֔ל לֹֽא־תוֹסִ֥יף ע֖וֹד לְהִנָּבֵ֑א כִּ֤י מִקְדַּשׁ־מֶ֙לֶךְ֙ ה֔וּא וּבֵ֥ית מַמְלָכָ֖ה הֽוּא׃ ס Amos Amo 7:13 But no longer prophesy at Bethel, for it is a sanctuary of the king and a royal residence."(nasb) ======= Amos 7:14 ============ Amo 7:14 Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit:(KJV) Amos 7:14 Then answered Amos, & said to Amaziah, I was no Prophet, neither was I a prophets sonne, but I was an herdman, & a gatherer of wilde figs.(Geneva) Amos 7:14 Amos répondit à Amatsia: Je ne suis ni prophète, ni fils de prophète; mais je suis berger, et je cultive des sycomores.(FR) 14 ׃7 וַיַּ֤עַן עָמוֹס֙ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֶל־אֲמַצְיָ֔ה לֹא־נָבִ֣יא אָנֹ֔כִי וְלֹ֥א בֶן־נָבִ֖יא אָנֹ֑כִי כִּֽי־בוֹקֵ֥ר אָנֹ֖כִי וּבוֹלֵ֥ס שִׁקְמִֽים׃ Amos Amo 7:14 Then Amos replied to Amaziah, "I am not a prophet, nor am I the son of a prophet; for I am a herdsman and a grower of sycamore figs. Moreover, Israel will certainly go from its land into exile.'"
