Today's Date: ======= Amos 4:1 ============ Amo 4:1 Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.(KJV) Amos 4:1 Heare this worde, ye kine of Bashan that are in the mountaine of Samaria, which oppresse the poore, & destroy the needie, and they say to their masters, Bring, and let vs drinke.(Geneva) Amos 4:1 Ecoutez cette parole, génisses de Basan qui êtes sur la montagne de Samarie, Vous qui opprimez les misérables, qui écrasez les indigents, Et qui dites à vos maris: Apportez, et buvons!(FR) 1 ׃4 שִׁמְע֞וּ הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֗ה פָּר֤וֹת הַבָּשָׁן֙ אֲשֶׁר֙ בְּהַ֣ר שֹֽׁמְר֔וֹן הָעֹשְׁק֣וֹת דַּלִּ֔ים הָרֹצְצ֖וֹת אֶבְיוֹנִ֑ים הָאֹמְרֹ֥ת לַאֲדֹֽנֵיהֶ֖ם הָבִ֥יאָה וְנִשְׁתֶּֽה׃ Amos Amo 4:1 Hear this word, you cows of Bashan who are on the mountain of Samaria, Who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, Who say to your husbands, "Bring now, that we may drink!"(nasb) ======= Amos 4:2 ============ Amo 4:2 The Lord GOD hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks.(KJV) Amos 4:2 The Lord God hath sworne by his holines, that loe, the dayes shal come vpon you, that hee wil take you away with thornes, & your posteritie with fish hookes.(Geneva) Amos 4:2 Le Seigneur, l'Eternel, l'a juré par sa sainteté: Voici, les jours viendront pour vous Où l'on vous enlèvera avec des crochets, Et votre postérité avec des hameçons;(FR) 2 ׃4 נִשְׁבַּ֨ע אֲדֹנָ֤י יְהוִה֙ בְּקָדְשׁ֔וֹ כִּ֛י הִנֵּ֥ה יָמִ֖ים בָּאִ֣ים עֲלֵיכֶ֑ם וְנִשָּׂ֤א אֶתְכֶם֙ בְּצִנּ֔וֹת וְאַחֲרִיתְכֶ֖ן בְּסִיר֥וֹת דּוּגָֽה׃ Amos Amo 4:2 The Lord God has sworn by His holiness, "Behold, the days are coming upon you When they will take you away with meat hooks, And the last of you with fish hooks. (nasb) ======= Amos 4:3 ============ Amo 4:3 And ye shall go out at the breaches, every cow at that which is before her; and ye shall cast them into the palace, saith the LORD.(KJV) Amos 4:3 And ye shal goe out at the breaches euery kowe forward: and ye shal cast your selues out of the palace, saith the Lord.(Geneva) Amos 4:3 Vous sortirez par les brèches, chacune devant soi, Et vous serez jetées dans la forteresse, dit l'Eternel.(FR) 3 ׃4 וּפְרָצִ֥ים תֵּצֶ֖אנָה אִשָּׁ֣ה נֶגְדָּ֑הּ וְהִשְׁלַכְתֶּ֥נָה הַהַרְמ֖וֹנָה נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ Amos Amo 4:3 "You will go out through breaches in the walls, Each one straight before her, And you will be cast to Harmon," declares the Lord. (nasb) ======= Amos 4:4 ============ Amo 4:4 Come to Bethel, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, and your tithes after three years:(KJV) Amos 4:4 Come to Beth-el, & trasgresse: to Gilgal, & multiplie transgression, & bring your sacrifices in the morning, & your tithes after three yeres.(Geneva) Amos 4:4 Allez à Béthel, et péchez! Allez à Guilgal, et péchez davantage! Offrez vos sacrifices chaque matin, Et vos dîmes tous les trois jours!(FR) 4 ׃4 בֹּ֤אוּ בֵֽית־אֵל֙ וּפִשְׁע֔וּ הַגִּלְגָּ֖ל הַרְבּ֣וּ לִפְשֹׁ֑עַ וְהָבִ֤יאוּ לַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ זִבְחֵיכֶ֔ם לִשְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת יָמִ֖ים מַעְשְׂרֹֽתֵיכֶֽם׃ Amos Amo 4:4 "Enter Bethel and transgress; In Gilgal multiply transgression! (nasb) ======= Amos 4:5 ============ Amo 4:5 And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.(KJV) Amos 4:5 And offer a thanksgiuing of leauen, publish & proclaime the free offrings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord God.(Geneva) Amos 4:5 Faites vos sacrifices d'actions de grâces avec du levain! Proclamez, publiez vos offrandes volontaires! Car c'est là ce que vous aimez, enfants d'Israël, Dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.(FR) 5 ׃4 וְקַטֵּ֤ר מֵֽחָמֵץ֙ תּוֹדָ֔ה וְקִרְא֥וּ נְדָב֖וֹת הַשְׁמִ֑יעוּ כִּ֣י כֵ֤ן אֲהַבְתֶּם֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ Amos Amo 4:5 "Offer a thank offering also from that which is leavened, And proclaim freewill offerings, make them known. For so you love to do, you sons of Israel," Declares the Lord God. (nasb) ======= Amos 4:6 ============ Amo 4:6 And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.(KJV) Amos 4:6 And therefore haue I giuen you cleannes of teeth in all your cities, & scarcenesse of bread in all your places, yet haue ye not returned vnto me, saith the Lord.(Geneva) Amos 4:6 Et moi, je vous ai envoyé la famine dans toutes vos villes, Le manque de pain dans toutes vos demeures. Malgré cela, vous n'êtes pas revenus à moi, dit l'Eternel.(FR) 6 ׃4 וְגַם־אֲנִי֩ נָתַ֨תִּי לָכֶ֜ם נִקְי֤וֹן שִׁנַּ֙יִם֙ בְּכָל־עָ֣רֵיכֶ֔ם וְחֹ֣סֶר לֶ֔חֶם בְּכֹ֖ל מְקוֹמֹֽתֵיכֶ֑ם וְלֹֽא־שַׁבְתֶּ֥ם עָדַ֖י נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ Amos Amo 4:6 "But I gave you also cleanness of teeth in all your cities And lack of bread in all your places, Yet you have not returned to Me," declares the Lord. (nasb) ======= Amos 4:7 ============ Amo 4:7 And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.(KJV) Amos 4:7 And also I haue withholden the raine from you, when there were yet three moneths to the haruest, and I caused it to raine vpon one citie, & haue not caused it to raine vpo another citie: one piece was rained vpon, and the piece whereupon it rained not, withered.(Geneva) Amos 4:7 Et moi, je vous ai refusé la pluie, Lorsqu'il y avait encore trois mois jusqu'à la moisson; J'ai fait pleuvoir sur une ville, Et je n'ai pas fait pleuvoir sur une autre ville; Un champ a reçu la pluie, Et un autre qui ne l'a pas reçue s'est desséché.(FR) 7 ׃4 וְגַ֣ם אָנֹכִי֩ מָנַ֨עְתִּי מִכֶּ֜ם אֶת־הַגֶּ֗שֶׁם בְּע֨וֹד שְׁלֹשָׁ֤ה חֳדָשִׁים֙ לַקָּצִ֔יר וְהִמְטַרְתִּי֙ עַל־עִ֣יר אֶחָ֔ת וְעַל־עִ֥יר אַחַ֖ת לֹ֣א אַמְטִ֑יר חֶלְקָ֤ה אַחַת֙ תִּמָּטֵ֔ר וְחֶלְקָ֛ה אֲשֶֽׁר־לֹֽא־תַמְטִ֥יר עָלֶ֖יהָ תִּיבָֽשׁ׃ Amos Amo 4:7 "Furthermore, I withheld the rain from you While there were still three months until harvest. Then I would send rain on one city And on another city I would not send rain; One part would be rained on, While the part not rained on would dry up. (nasb) ======= Amos 4:8 ============ Amo 4:8 So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.(KJV) Amos 4:8 So two or three cities wandred vnto one citie to drinke water, but they were not satisfied: yet haue ye not returned vnto me, saith the Lord.(Geneva) Amos 4:8 Deux, trois villes sont allées vers une autre pour boire de l'eau, Et elles n'ont point apaisé leur soif. Malgré cela, vous n'êtes pas revenus à moi, dit l'Eternel.(FR) 8 ׃4 וְנָע֡וּ שְׁתַּיִם֩ שָׁלֹ֨שׁ עָרִ֜ים אֶל־עִ֥יר אַחַ֛ת לִשְׁתּ֥וֹת מַ֖יִם וְלֹ֣א יִשְׂבָּ֑עוּ וְלֹֽא־שַׁבְתֶּ֥ם עָדַ֖י נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ Amos Amo 4:8 "So two or three cities would stagger to another city to drink water, But would not be satisfied; Yet you have not returned to Me," declares the Lord. (nasb) ======= Amos 4:9 ============ Amo 4:9 I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.(KJV) Amos 4:9 I haue smitten you with blasting, and mildewe: your great gardens and your vineyardes, & your figtrees, and your oliue trees did the palmer worme deuoure: yet haue ye not returned vnto me, saith the Lord.(Geneva) Amos 4:9 Je vous ai frappés par la rouille et par la nielle; Vos nombreux jardins, vos vignes, vos figuiers et vos oliviers Ont été dévorés par les sauterelles. Malgré cela, vous n'êtes pas revenus à moi, dit l'Eternel.(FR) 9 ׃4 הִכֵּ֣יתִי אֶתְכֶם֮ בַּשִּׁדָּפ֣וֹן וּבַיֵּרָקוֹן֒ הַרְבּ֨וֹת גַּנּוֹתֵיכֶ֧ם וְכַרְמֵיכֶ֛ם וּתְאֵנֵיכֶ֥ם וְזֵיתֵיכֶ֖ם יֹאכַ֣ל הַגָּזָ֑ם וְלֹֽא־שַׁבְתֶּ֥ם עָדַ֖י נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ ס Amos Amo 4:9 "I smote you with scorching wind and mildew; And the caterpillar was devouring Your many gardens and vineyards, fig trees and olive trees; Yet you have not returned to Me," declares the Lord. (nasb) ======= Amos 4:10 ============ Amo 4:10 I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.(KJV) Amos 4:10 Pestilence haue I sent among you, after the maner of Egypt: your yong men haue I slaine with the sworde, & haue taken away your horses: & I haue made the stinke of your tentes to come vp euen into your nostrels: yet haue yee not returned vnto me, saith the Lorde.(Geneva) Amos 4:10 J'ai envoyé parmi vous la peste, comme en Egypte; J'ai tué vos jeunes gens par l'épée, Et laissé prendre vos chevaux; J'ai fait monter à vos narines l'infection de votre camp. Malgré cela, vous n'êtes pas revenus à moi, dit l'Eternel.(FR) 10 ׃4 שִׁלַּ֨חְתִּי בָכֶ֥ם דֶּ֙בֶר֙ בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ מִצְרַ֔יִם הָרַ֤גְתִּי בַחֶ֙רֶב֙ בַּח֣וּרֵיכֶ֔ם עִ֖ם שְׁבִ֣י סֽוּסֵיכֶ֑ם וָאַעֲלֶ֞ה בְּאֹ֤שׁ מַחֲנֵיכֶם֙ וּֽבְאַפְּכֶ֔ם וְלֹֽא־שַׁבְתֶּ֥ם עָדַ֖י נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ Amos Amo 4:10 "I sent a plague among you after the manner of Egypt; I slew your young men by the sword along with your captured horses, And I made the stench of your camp rise up in your nostrils; Yet you have not returned to Me," declares the Lord. (nasb) ======= Amos 4:11 ============ Amo 4:11 I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.(KJV) Amos 4:11 I haue ouerthrowe you, as God ouerthrew Sodom & Gomorah: and ye were as a firebrand pluckt out of the burning: yet haue ye not returned vnto me, saith the Lord.(Geneva) Amos 4:11 Je vous ai bouleversés, Comme Sodome et Gomorrhe, que Dieu détruisit; Et vous avez été comme un tison arraché de l'incendie. Malgré cela, vous n'êtes pas revenus à moi, dit l'Eternel...(FR) 11 ׃4 הָפַ֣כְתִּי בָכֶ֗ם כְּמַהְפֵּכַ֤ת אֱלֹהִים֙ אֶת־סְדֹ֣ם וְאֶת־עֲמֹרָ֔ה וַתִּהְי֕וּ כְּא֖וּד מֻצָּ֣ל מִשְׂרֵפָ֑ה וְלֹֽא־שַׁבְתֶּ֥ם עָדַ֖י נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ ס Amos Amo 4:11 "I overthrew you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, And you were like a firebrand snatched from a blaze; Yet you have not returned to Me," declares the Lord.
