The servant's name was Malchus.(KJV) John 18:10 Then Simon Peter hauing a sword, drewe it, & smote the hie Priests seruant, and cut off his right eare. (nasb) ======= John 18:15 ============ Jn 18:15 And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest.(KJV) John 18:15 Nowe Simon Peter folowed Iesus, & another disciple, and that disciple was knowen of the hie Priest: therefore he went in with Iesus into the hall of the hie Priest:(Geneva) Jean 18:15 Simon Pierre, avec un autre disciple, suivait Jésus. Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and entered with Jesus into the court of the high priest, (nasb) ======= John 18:16 ============ Jn 18:16 But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.(KJV) John 18:16 But Peter stood at the doore without. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to the doorkeeper, and brought Peter in. (nasb) ======= John 18:17 ============ Jn 18:17 Then saith the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, Art not thou also one of this man's disciples? He saith, I am not.(KJV) John 18:17 Then saide the maide that kept the doore, vnto Peter, Art not thou also one of this mans disciples? So they said to him, "You are not also one of His disciples, are you?" (nasb) ======= John 18:28 ============ Jn 18:28 Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.(KJV) John 18:28 Then led they Iesus from Caiaphas into the common hall. Jesus answered, "You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth.
