Muß denn ein Schwätzer immer recht haben?(dhs) Job 11:2 "Should not the multitude of words be answered? And should a man full of talk be vindicated?(nkjv) ======= Job 11:3 ============ Job 11:3 "Shall your boasts silence men? And shall you scoff and none rebuke?(nasb) Job 11:3 μὴ πολὺς ἐν ῥήμασιν γίνου οὐ γάρ ἐστιν ὁ ἀντικρινόμενός σοι (lxx) Job 11:3 Tibi soli tacebunt homines? et cum ceteros irriseris, a nullo confutaberis?(vulgate) Job 11:3 Müssen die Leute zu deinem eitlen Geschwätz schweigen, daß du spottest und niemand dich beschäme?(dhs) Job 11:3 Should your empty talk make men hold their peace? And when you mock, should no one rebuke you?(nkjv) ======= Job 11:4 ============ Job 11:4 "For you have said, 'My teaching is pure, And I am innocent in your eyes.'(nasb) Job 11:4 μὴ γὰρ λέγε ὅτι καθαρός εἰμι τοῖς ἔργοις καὶ ἄμεμπτος ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ (lxx) Job 11:4 Dixisti enim: Purus est sermo meus, et mundus sum in conspectu tuo.(vulgate) Job 11:4 Du sprichst: Meine Rede ist rein, und lauter bin ich vor deinen Augen.(dhs) Job 11:4 For you have said, 'My doctrine is pure, And I am clean in your eyes.'(nkjv) ======= Job 11:5 ============ Job 11:5 "But would that God might speak, And open His lips against you,(nasb) Job 11:5 ἀλλὰ πῶς ἂν ὁ κύριος λαλήσαι πρὸς σέ καὶ ἀνοίξει χείλη αὐτοῦ μετὰ σοῦ (lxx) Job 11:5 Atque utinam Deus loqueretur tecum, et aperiret labia sua tibi,(vulgate) Job 11:5 Ach, daß Gott mit dir redete und täte seine Lippen auf(dhs) Job 11:5 But oh, that God would speak, And open His lips against you,(nkjv) ======= Job 11:6 ============ Job 11:6 And show you the secrets of wisdom! For sound wisdom has two sides. Know then that God forgets a part of your iniquity.(nasb) Job 11:6 εἶτα ἀναγγελεῖ σοι δύναμιν σοφίας ὅτι διπλοῦς ἔσται τῶν κατὰ σέ καὶ τότε γνώσῃ ὅτι ἄξιά σοι ἀπέβη ἀπὸ κυρίου ὧν ἡμάρτηκας (lxx) Job 11:6 ut ostenderet tibi secreta sapientiæ, et quod multiplex esset lex ejus: et intelligeres quod multo minora exigaris ab eo quam meretur iniquitas tua!(vulgate) Job 11:6 und zeigte dir die heimliche Weisheit! Denn er hätte noch wohl mehr an dir zu tun, auf daß du wissest, daß er deiner Sünden nicht aller gedenkt.(dhs) Job 11:6 That He would show you the secrets of wisdom! Can you discover the limits of the Almighty?(nasb) Job 11:7 ἦ ἴχνος κυρίου εὑρήσεις ἢ εἰς τὰ ἔσχατα ἀφίκου ἃ ἐποίησεν ὁ παντοκράτωρ (lxx) Job 11:7 Forsitan vestigia Dei comprehendes, et usque ad perfectum Omnipotentem reperies?(vulgate) Job 11:7 Meinst du, daß du wissest, was Gott weiß, und wollest es so vollkommen treffen wie der Allmächtige?(dhs) Job 11:7 "Can you search out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limits of the Almighty?(nkjv) ======= Job 11:8 ============ Job 11:8 "They are high as the heavens, what can you do? Deeper than Sheol, what can you know?(nasb) Job 11:8 ὑψηλὸς ὁ οὐρανός καὶ τί ποιήσεις βαθύτερα δὲ τῶν ἐν ᾅδου τί οἶδας (lxx) Job 11:8 Excelsior cælo est, et quid facies? profundior inferno, et unde cognosces?(vulgate) Job 11:8 Es ist höher denn der Himmel; was willst du tun? tiefer denn die Hölle; was kannst du wissen?(dhs) Job 11:8 They are higher than heaven--what can you do? Will He not then consider it?(nkjv) ======= Job 11:12 ============ Job 11:12 "An idiot will become intelligent When the foal of a wild donkey is born a man.(nasb) Job 11:12 ἄνθρωπος δὲ ἄλλως νήχεται λόγοις βροτὸς δὲ γεννητὸς γυναικὸς ἴσα ὄνῳ ἐρημίτῃ (lxx) Job 11:12 Vir vanus in superbiam erigitur, et tamquam pullum onagri se liberum natum putat.(vulgate) Job 11:12 Ein unnützer Mann bläht sich, und ein geborener Mensch will sein wie ein junges Wild.(dhs) Job 11:12 For an empty-headed man will be wise, When a wild donkey's colt is born a man.(nkjv) ======= Job 11:13 ============ Job 11:13 "If you would direct your heart right And spread out your hand to Him,(nasb) Job 11:13 εἰ γὰρ σὺ καθαρὰν ἔθου τὴν καρδίαν σου ὑπτιάζεις δὲ χεῖρας πρὸς αὐτόν (lxx) Job 11:13 Tu autem firmasti cor tuum, et expandisti ad eum manus tuas.(vulgate) Job 11:13 Wenn du dein Herz richtetest und deine Hände zu ihm ausbreitetest;(dhs) Job 11:13 "If you would prepare your heart, And stretch out your hands toward Him;(nkjv) ======= Job 11:14 ============ Job 11:14 If iniquity is in your hand, put it far away, And do not let wickedness dwell in your tents;(nasb) Job 11:14 εἰ ἄνομόν τί ἐστιν ἐν χερσίν σου πόρρω ποίησον αὐτὸ ἀπὸ σοῦ ἀδικία δὲ ἐν διαίτῃ σου μὴ αὐλισθήτω (lxx) Job 11:14 Si iniquitatem quæ est in manu tua abstuleris a te, et non manserit in tabernaculo tuo injustitia,(vulgate) Job 11:14 wenn du die Untugend, die in deiner Hand ist, fern von dir tätest, daß in deiner Hütte kein Unrecht bliebe:(dhs) Job 11:14 If iniquity were in your hand, and you put it far away, And would not let wickedness dwell in your tents;(nkjv) ======= Job 11:15 ============ Job 11:15 "Then, indeed, you could lift up your face without moral defect, And you would be steadfast and not fear.(nasb) Job 11:15 οὕτως γὰρ ἀναλάμψει σου τὸ πρόσωπον ὥσπερ ὕδωρ καθαρόν ἐκδύσῃ δὲ ῥύπον καὶ οὐ μὴ φοβηθῇς (lxx) Job 11:15 tunc levare poteris faciem tuam absque macula; et eris stabilis, et non timebis.(vulgate) Job 11:15 so möchtest du dein Antlitz aufheben ohne Tadel und würdest fest sein und dich nicht fürchten.(dhs) Job 11:15 Then surely you could lift up your face without spot; Yes, you could be steadfast, and not fear;(nkjv) ======= Job 11:16 ============ Job 11:16 "For you would forget your trouble, As waters that have passed by, you would remember it.(nasb) Job 11:16 καὶ τὸν κόπον ἐπιλήσῃ ὥσπερ κῦμα παρελθὸν καὶ οὐ πτοηθήσῃ (lxx) Job 11:16 Miseriæ quoque oblivisceris, et quasi aquarum quæ præterierunt recordaberis.(vulgate) Job 11:16 Dann würdest du der Mühsal vergessen und so wenig gedenken als des Wassers, das vorübergeht;(dhs) Job 11:16 Because you would forget your misery, And remember it as waters that have passed away,(nkjv) ======= Job 11:17 ============ Job 11:17 "Your life would be brighter than noonday; Darkness would be like the morning.(nasb) Job 11:17 ἡ δὲ εὐχή σου ὥσπερ ἑωσφόρος ἐκ δὲ μεσημβρίας ἀνατελεῖ σοι ζωή (lxx) Job 11:17 Et quasi meridianus fulgor consurget tibi ad vesperam; et cum te consumptum putaveris, orieris ut lucifer.(vulgate) Job 11:17 und die Zeit deines Lebens würde aufgehen wie der Mittag, und das Finstere würde ein lichter Morgen werden;(dhs) Job 11:17 And your life would be brighter than noonday. Though you were dark, you would be like the morning.(nkjv) ======= Job 11:18 ============ Job 11:18 "Then you would trust, because there is hope; And you would look around and rest securely.(nasb) Job 11:18 πεποιθώς τε ἔσῃ ὅτι ἔστιν σοι ἐλπίς ἐκ δὲ μερίμνης καὶ φροντίδος ἀναφανεῖταί σοι εἰρήνη (lxx) Job 11:18 Et habebis fiduciam, proposita tibi spe: et defossus securus dormies.(vulgate) Job 11:18 und dürftest dich dessen trösten, daß Hoffnung da sei; würdest dich umsehen und in Sicherheit schlafen legen;(dhs) Job 11:18 And you would be secure, because there is hope; Yes, you would dig around you, and take your rest in safety.(nkjv) ======= Job 11:19 ============ Job 11:19 "You would lie down and none would disturb you, And many would entreat your favor.(nasb) Job 11:19 ἡσυχάσεις γάρ καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ πολεμῶν σε μεταβαλόμενοι δὲ πολλοί σου δεηθήσονται (lxx) Job 11:19 Requiesces, et non erit qui te exterreat; et deprecabuntur faciem tuam plurimi.(vulgate) Job 11:19 würdest ruhen, und niemand würde dich aufschrecken; und viele würden vor dir flehen.(dhs) Job 11:19 You would also lie down, and no one would make you afraid; Yes, many would court your favor.(nkjv) ======= Job 11:20 ============ Job 11:20 "But the eyes of the wicked will fail, And there will be no escape for them; And their hope is to breathe their last."(nasb) Job 11:20 σωτηρία δὲ αὐτοὺς ἀπολείψει ἡ γὰρ ἐλπὶς αὐτῶν ἀπώλεια ὀφθαλμοὶ δὲ ἀσεβῶν τακήσονται (lxx) Job 11:20 Oculi autem impiorum deficient, et effugium peribit ab eis: et spes illorum abominatio animæ.](vulgate) Job 11:20 Aber die Augen der Gottlosen werden verschmachten, und sie werden nicht entrinnen können; denn Hoffnung wird ihrer Seele fehlen.(dhs) Job 11:20 But the eyes of the wicked will fail, And they shall not escape, And their hope--loss of life!"(nkjv) ======= Job 12:1 ============ top of the page
