Today's Date: Job 36:33 His thunder declares it, The cattle also, concerning the rising storm.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:1 ============ Job 37:1 "At this also my heart trembles, And leaps from its place.(nasb) Job 37:1 καὶ ταύτης ἐταράχθη ἡ καρδία μου καὶ ἀπερρύη ἐκ τοῦ τόπου αὐτῆς (lxx) Job 37:1 [Super hoc expavit cor meum, et emotum est de loco suo.(vulgate) Job 37:1 Des entsetzt sich mein Herz und bebt.(dhs) Job 37:1 "At this also my heart trembles, And leaps from its place.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:2 ============ Job 37:2 "Listen closely to the thunder of His voice, And the rumbling that goes out from His mouth.(nasb) Job 37:2 ἄκουε ἀκοὴν ἐν ὀργῇ θυμοῦ κυρίου καὶ μελέτη ἐκ στόματος αὐτοῦ ἐξελεύσεται (lxx) Job 37:2 Audite auditionem in terrore vocis ejus, et sonum de ore illius procedentem.(vulgate) Job 37:2 O höret doch, wie der Donner zürnt, und was für Gespräch von seinem Munde ausgeht!(dhs) Job 37:2 Hear attentively the thunder of His voice, And the rumbling that comes from His mouth.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:3 ============ Job 37:3 "Under the whole heaven He lets it loose, And His lightning to the ends of the earth.(nasb) Job 37:3 ὑποκάτω παντὸς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἀρχὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ φῶς αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ πτερύγων τῆς γῆς (lxx) Job 37:3 Subter omnes cælos ipse considerat, et lumen illius super terminos terræ.(vulgate) Job 37:3 Er läßt ihn hinfahren unter allen Himmeln, und sein Blitz scheint auf die Enden der Erde.(dhs) Job 37:3 He sends it forth under the whole heaven, His lightning to the ends of the earth.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:4 ============ Job 37:4 "After it, a voice roars; He thunders with His majestic voice, And He does not restrain the lightnings when His voice is heard.(nasb) Job 37:4 ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ βοήσεται φωνή βροντήσει ἐν φωνῇ ὕβρεως αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἀνταλλάξει αὐτούς ὅτι ἀκούσει φωνὴν αὐτοῦ (lxx) Job 37:4 Post eum rugiet sonitus; tonabit voce magnitudinis suæ: et non investigabitur, cum audita fuerit vox ejus.(vulgate) Job 37:4 Ihm nach brüllt der Donner, und er donnert mit seinem großen Schall; und wenn sein Donner gehört wird, kann man's nicht aufhalten.(dhs) Job 37:4 After it a voice roars; He does great things which we cannot comprehend.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:6 ============ Job 37:6 "For to the snow He says, 'Fall on the earth, 'And to the downpour and the rain, 'Be strong.'(nasb) Job 37:6 συντάσσων χιόνι γίνου ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ χειμὼν ὑετός καὶ χειμὼν ὑετῶν δυναστείας αὐτοῦ (lxx) Job 37:6 qui præcipit nivi ut descendat in terram, et hiemis pluviis, et imbri fortitudinis suæ;(vulgate) Job 37:6 Er spricht zum Schnee, so ist er bald auf Erden, und zum Platzregen, so ist der Platzregen da mit Macht.(dhs) Job 37:6 For He says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth'; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:7 ============ Job 37:7 "He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work.(nasb) Job 37:7 ἐν χειρὶ παντὸς ἀνθρώπου κατασφραγίζει ἵνα γνῷ πᾶς ἄνθρωπος τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ἀσθένειαν (lxx) Job 37:7 qui in manu omnium hominum signat, ut noverint singuli opera sua.(vulgate) Job 37:7 Aller Menschen Hand hält er verschlossen, daß die Leute lernen, was er tun kann.(dhs) Job 37:7 He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:8 ============ Job 37:8 "Then the beast goes into its lair And remains in its den.(nasb) Job 37:8 εἰσῆλθεν δὲ θηρία ὑπὸ σκέπην ἡσύχασαν δὲ ἐπὶ κοίτης (lxx) Job 37:8 Ingredietur bestia latibulum, et in antro suo morabitur.(vulgate) Job 37:8 Das wilde Tier geht in seine Höhle und bleibt an seinem Ort.(dhs) Job 37:8 The beasts go into dens, And remain in their lairs.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:9 ============ Job 37:9 "Out of the south comes the storm, And out of the north the cold.(nasb) Job 37:9 ἐκ ταμιείων ἐπέρχονται δῖναι ἀπὸ δὲ ἀκρωτηρίων ψῦχος (lxx) Job 37:9 Ab interioribus egredietur tempestas, et ab Arcturo frigus.(vulgate) Job 37:9 Von Mittag her kommt Wetter und von Mitternacht Kälte.(dhs) Job 37:9 From the chamber of the south comes the whirlwind, And cold from the scattering winds of the north.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:10 ============ Job 37:10 "From the breath of God ice is made, And the expanse of the waters is frozen.(nasb) Job 37:10 καὶ ἀπὸ πνοῆς ἰσχυροῦ δώσει πάγος οἰακίζει δὲ τὸ ὕδωρ ὡς ἐὰν βούληται (lxx) Job 37:10 Flante Deo, concrescit gelu, et rursum latissimæ funduntur aquæ.(vulgate) Job 37:10 Vom Odem Gottes kommt Frost, und große Wasser ziehen sich eng zusammen.(dhs) Job 37:10 By the breath of God ice is given, And the broad waters are frozen.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:11 ============ Job 37:11 "Also with moisture He loads the thick cloud; He disperses the cloud of His lightning.(nasb) Job 37:11 καὶ ἐκλεκτὸν καταπλάσσει νεφέλη διασκορπιεῖ νέφος φῶς αὐτοῦ (lxx) Job 37:11 Frumentum desiderat nubes, et nubes spargunt lumen suum.(vulgate) Job 37:11 Die Wolken beschwert er mit Wasser, und durch das Gewölk bricht sein Licht.(dhs) Job 37:11 Also with moisture He saturates the thick clouds; He scatters His bright clouds.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:12 ============ Job 37:12 "It changes direction, turning around by His guidance, That it may do whatever He commands it On the face of the inhabited earth.(nasb) Job 37:12 καὶ αὐτὸς κυκλώματα διαστρέψει ἐν θεεβουλαθω εἰς ἔργα αὐτῶν πάντα ὅσα ἂν ἐντείληται αὐτοῖς ταῦτα συντέτακται παρ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς (lxx) Job 37:12 Quæ lustrant per circuitum, quocumque eas voluntas gubernantis duxerit, ad omne quod præceperit illis super faciem orbis terrarum:(vulgate) Job 37:12 Er kehrt die Wolken, wo er hin will, daß sie schaffen alles, was er ihnen gebeut, auf dem Erdboden:(dhs) Job 37:12 And they swirl about, being turned by His guidance, That they may do whatever He commands them On the face of the whole earth.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:13 ============ Job 37:13 "Whether for correction, or for His world, Or for lovingkindness, He causes it to happen.(nasb) Job 37:13 ἐὰν εἰς παιδείαν ἐὰν εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ ἐὰν εἰς ἔλεος εὑρήσει αὐτόν (lxx) Job 37:13 sive in una tribu, sive in terra sua, sive in quocumque loco misericordiæ suæ eas jusserit inveniri.(vulgate) Job 37:13 es sei zur Züchtigung über ein Land oder zur Gnade, läßt er sie kommen.(dhs) Job 37:13 He causes it to come, Whether for correction, Or for His land, Or for mercy.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:14 ============ Job 37:14 "Listen to this, O Job, Stand and consider the wonders of God.(nasb) Job 37:14 ἐνωτίζου ταῦτα Ιωβ στῆθι νουθετοῦ δύναμιν κυρίου (lxx) Job 37:14 Ausculta hæc, Job: sta, et considera mirabilia Dei.(vulgate) Job 37:14 Da merke auf, Hiob, stehe und vernimm die Wunder Gottes!(dhs) Job 37:14 "Listen to this, O Job; Stand still and consider the wondrous works of God.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:15 ============ Job 37:15 "Do you know how God establishes them, And makes the lightning of His cloud to shine?(nasb) Job 37:15 οἴδαμεν ὅτι ὁ θεὸς ἔθετο ἔργα αὐτοῦ φῶς ποιήσας ἐκ σκότους (lxx) Job 37:15 Numquid scis quando præceperit Deus pluviis, ut ostenderent lucem nubium ejus?(vulgate) Job 37:15 Weißt du wie Gott solches über sie bringt und wie er das Licht aus seinen Wolken läßt hervorbrechen?(dhs) Job 37:15 Do you know when God dispatches them, And causes the light of His cloud to shine?(nkjv) ======= Job 37:16 ============ Job 37:16 "Do you know about the layers of the thick clouds, The wonders of one perfect in knowledge,(nasb) Job 37:16 ἐπίσταται δὲ διάκρισιν νεφῶν ἐξαίσια δὲ πτώματα πονηρῶν (lxx) Job 37:16 Numquid nosti semitas nubium magnas, et perfectas scientias?(vulgate) Job 37:16 Weißt du wie sich die Wolken ausstreuen, die Wunder des, der vollkommen ist an Wissen?(dhs) Job 37:16 Do you know how the clouds are balanced, Those wondrous works of Him who is perfect in knowledge?(nkjv) ======= Job 37:17 ============ Job 37:17 You whose garments are hot, When the land is still because of the south wind?(nasb) Job 37:17 σοῦ δὲ ἡ στολὴ θερμή ἡσυχάζεται δὲ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς (lxx) Job 37:17 Nonne vestimenta tua calida sunt, cum perflata fuerit terra austro?(vulgate) Job 37:17 Du, des Kleider warm sind, wenn das Land still ist vom Mittagswinde,(dhs) Job 37:17 Why are your garments hot, When He quiets the earth by the south wind?(nkjv) ======= Job 37:18 ============ Job 37:18 "Can you, with Him, spread out the skies, Strong as a molten mirror?(nasb) Job 37:18 στερεώσεις μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ εἰς παλαιώματα ἰσχυραὶ ὡς ὅρασις ἐπιχύσεως (lxx) Job 37:18 Tu forsitan cum eo fabricatus es cælos, qui solidissimi quasi ære fusi sunt.(vulgate) Job 37:18 ja, du wirst mit ihm den Himmel ausbreiten, der fest ist wie ein gegossener Spiegel.(dhs) Job 37:18 With Him, have you spread out the skies, Strong as a cast metal mirror?(nkjv) ======= Job 37:19 ============ Job 37:19 "Teach us what we shall say to Him; We cannot arrange our case because of darkness.(nasb) Job 37:19 διὰ τί δίδαξόν με τί ἐροῦμεν αὐτῷ καὶ παυσώμεθα πολλὰ λέγοντες (lxx) Job 37:19 Ostende nobis quid dicamus illi: nos quippe involvimur tenebris.(vulgate) Job 37:19 Zeige uns, was wir ihm sagen sollen; denn wir können nichts vorbringen vor Finsternis.(dhs) Job 37:19 "Teach us what we should say to Him, For we can prepare nothing because of the darkness.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:20 ============ Job 37:20 "Shall it be told Him that I would speak? Or should a man say that he would be swallowed up?(nasb) Job 37:20 μὴ βίβλος ἢ γραμματεύς μοι παρέστηκεν ἵνα ἄνθρωπον ἑστηκὼς κατασιωπήσω (lxx) Job 37:20 Quis narrabit ei quæ loquor? etiam si locutus fuerit homo, devorabitur.(vulgate) Job 37:20 Wer wird ihm erzählen, daß ich wolle reden? So jemand redet, der wird verschlungen.(dhs) Job 37:20 Should He be told that I wish to speak? If a man were to speak, surely he would be swallowed up.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:21 ============ Job 37:21 "Now men do not see the light which is bright in the skies; But the wind has passed and cleared them.(nasb) Job 37:21 πᾶσιν δ᾽ οὐχ ὁρατὸν τὸ φῶς τηλαυγές ἐστιν ἐν τοῖς παλαιώμασιν ὥσπερ τὸ παρ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ νεφῶν (lxx) Job 37:21 At nunc non vident lucem: subito aër cogetur in nubes, et ventus transiens fugabit eas.(vulgate) Job 37:21 Jetzt sieht man das Licht nicht, das am Himmel hell leuchtet; wenn aber der Wind weht, so wird's klar.(dhs) Job 37:21 Even now men cannot look at the light when it is bright in the skies, When the wind has passed and cleared them.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:22 ============ Job 37:22 "Out of the north comes golden splendor; Around God is awesome majesty.(nasb) Job 37:22 ἀπὸ βορρᾶ νέφη χρυσαυγοῦντα ἐπὶ τούτοις μεγάλη ἡ δόξα καὶ τιμὴ παντοκράτορος (lxx) Job 37:22 Ab aquilone aurum venit, et ad Deum formidolosa laudatio.(vulgate) Job 37:22 Von Mitternacht kommt Gold; um Gott her ist schrecklicher Glanz.(dhs) Job 37:22 He comes from the north as golden splendor; With God is awesome majesty.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:23 ============ Job 37:23 "The Almighty--we cannot find Him; He is exalted in power And He will not do violence to justice and abundant righteousness.(nasb) Job 37:23 καὶ οὐχ εὑρίσκομεν ἄλλον ὅμοιον τῇ ἰσχύι αὐτοῦ ὁ τὰ δίκαια κρίνων οὐκ οἴει ἐπακούειν αὐτόν (lxx) Job 37:23 Digne eum invenire non possumus: magnus fortitudine, et judicio, et justitia: et enarrari non potest.(vulgate) Job 37:23 Den Allmächtigen aber können wir nicht finden, der so groß ist von Kraft; das Recht und eine gute Sache beugt er nicht.(dhs) Job 37:23 As for the Almighty, we cannot find Him; He is excellent in power, In judgment and abundant justice; He does not oppress.(nkjv) ======= Job 37:24 ============ Job 37:24 "Therefore men fear Him; He does not regard any who are wise of heart."(nasb) Job 37:24 διὸ φοβηθήσονται αὐτὸν οἱ ἄνθρωποι φοβηθήσονται δὲ αὐτὸν καὶ οἱ σοφοὶ καρδίᾳ (lxx) Job 37:24 Ideo timebunt eum viri, et non audebunt contemplari omnes qui sibi videntur esse sapientes.](vulgate) Job 37:24 Darum müssen ihn fürchten die Leute; und er sieht keinen an, wie weise sie sind.(dhs) Job 37:24 Therefore men fear Him; He shows no partiality to any who are wise of heart."(nkjv) ======= Job 38:1 ============ top of the page
