Today's Date: ======= Genesis 45:1 ============ Gen 45:1 Then Joseph could not control himself before all those who stood by him, and he cried, "Have everyone go out from me." So there was no man with him when Joseph made himself known to his brothers.(nasb) Gen 45:1 Non se poterat ultra cohibere Joseph multis coram astantibus: unde præcepit ut egrederentur cuncti foras, et nullus interesset alienus agnitioni mutuæ.(vulgate) Génesis 45:1 No podía ya José contenerse delante de todos los que estaban al lado suyo, y clamó: Haced salir de conmigo a todos. Y no quedó nadie con él, al darse a conocer José a sus hermanos.(E) Genèse 45:1 Joseph ne pouvait plus se contenir devant tous ceux qui l'entouraient. Il s'écria: Faites sortir tout le monde. Et il ne resta personne avec Joseph, quand il se fit connaître à ses frères.(F) Gen 45:1 Da konnte sich Joseph nicht länger enthalten vor allen, die um ihn her standen, und er rief: Laßt jedermann von mir hinausgehen! Und kein Mensch stand bei ihm, da sich Joseph seinen Brüdern zu erkennen gab.(D) Gen 45:1 καὶ οὐκ ἠδύνατο Ιωσηφ ἀνέχεσθαι πάντων τῶν παρεστηκότων αὐτῷ ἀλλ᾽ εἶπεν ἐξαποστείλατε πάντας ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ οὐ παρειστήκει οὐδεὶς ἔτι τῷ Ιωσηφ ἡνίκα ἀνεγνωρίζετο τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς αὐτοῦ(lxx) Gen 45:1 Then Joseph could not restrain himself before all those who stood by him, and he cried out, "Make everyone go out from me!" So no one stood with him while Joseph made himself known to his brothers.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:2 ============ Gen 45:2 He wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard it, and the household of Pharaoh heard of it.(nasb) Gen 45:2 Elevavitque vocem cum fletu, quam audierunt Ægyptii, omnisque domus Pharaonis.(vulgate) Génesis 45:2 Entonces se dio a llorar a gritos; y oyeron los egipcios, y oyó también la casa de Faraón.(E) Genèse 45:2 Il éleva la voix, en pleurant. Les Egyptiens l'entendirent, et la maison de Pharaon l'entendit.(F) Gen 45:2 Und er weinte laut, daß es die Ägypter und das Gesinde des Pharao hörten,(D) Gen 45:2 καὶ ἀφῆκεν φωνὴν μετὰ κλαυθμοῦ ἤκουσαν δὲ πάντες οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι καὶ ἀκουστὸν ἐγένετο εἰς τὸν οἶκον Φαραω(lxx) Gen 45:2 And he wept aloud, and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard it.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:3 ============ Gen 45:3 Then Joseph said to his brothers, "I am Joseph! Is my father still alive?" But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed at his presence.(nasb) Gen 45:3 Et dixit fratribus suis: Ego sum Joseph: adhuc pater meus vivit? Non poterant respondere fratres nimio terrore perterriti.(vulgate) Génesis 45:3 Y dijo José a sus hermanos: Yo soy José: ¿Vive aún mi padre? Y sus hermanos no pudieron responderle, porque estaban turbados delante de él.(E) Genèse 45:3 Joseph dit à ses frères: Je suis Joseph! Mon père vit-il encore? Mais ses frères ne purent lui répondre, car ils étaient troublés en sa présence.(F) Gen 45:3 und sprach zu seinen Brüdern: Ich bin Joseph. Lebt mein Vater noch? und seine Brüder konnten ihm nicht antworten, so erschraken sie vor seinem Angesicht.(D) Gen 45:3 εἶπεν δὲ Ιωσηφ πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ ἐγώ εἰμι Ιωσηφ ἔτι ὁ πατήρ μου ζῇ καὶ οὐκ ἐδύναντο οἱ ἀδελφοὶ ἀποκριθῆναι αὐτῷ ἐταράχθησαν γάρ(lxx) Gen 45:3 Then Joseph said to his brothers, "I am Joseph; does my father still live?" But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed in his presence.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:4 ============ Gen 45:4 Then Joseph said to his brothers, "Please come closer to me." And they came closer. And he said, "I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt.(nasb) Gen 45:4 Ad quos ille clementer: Accedite, inquit, ad me. Et cum accessissent prope: Ego sum, ait, Joseph, frater vester, quem vendidistis in Ægyptum.(vulgate) Génesis 45:4 Entonces dijo José a sus hermanos: Acercaos ahora a mí. Y ellos se acercaron. Il dit: Je suis Joseph, votre frère, que vous avez vendu pour être mené en Egypte.(F) Gen 45:4 Er aber sprach zu seinen Brüdern: Tretet doch her zu mir! Und sie traten herzu. Und er sprach: Ich bin Joseph euer Bruder, den ihr nach Ägypten verkauft habt.(D) Gen 45:4 εἶπεν δὲ Ιωσηφ πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ ἐγγίσατε πρός με καὶ ἤγγισαν καὶ εἶπεν ἐγώ εἰμι Ιωσηφ ὁ ἀδελφὸς ὑμῶν ὃν ἀπέδοσθε εἰς Αἴγυπτον(lxx) Gen 45:4 And Joseph said to his brothers, "Please come near to me." So they came near. Then he said: "I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:5 ============ Gen 45:5 Now do not be grieved or angry with yourselves, because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life.(nasb) Gen 45:5 Nolite pavere, neque vobis durum esse videatur quod vendidistis me in his regionibus: pro salute enim vestra misit me Deus ante vos in Ægyptum.(vulgate) Génesis 45:5 Ahora pues, no os entristezcáis, ni os pese de haberme vendido acá; que para preservación de vida me envió Dios delante de vosotros:(E) Genèse 45:5 Maintenant, ne vous affligez pas, et ne soyez pas fâchés de m'avoir vendu pour être conduit ici, car c'est pour vous sauver la vie que Dieu m'a envoyé devant vous.(F) Gen 45:5 Und nun bekümmert euch nicht und denkt nicht, daß ich darum zürne, daß ihr mich hierher verkauft habt; denn um eures Lebens willen hat mich Gott vor euch her gesandt.(D) Gen 45:5 νῦν οὖν μὴ λυπεῖσθε μηδὲ σκληρὸν ὑμῖν φανήτω ὅτι ἀπέδοσθέ με ὧδε εἰς γὰρ ζωὴν ἀπέστειλέν με ὁ θεὸς ἔμπροσθεν ὑμῶν(lxx) Gen 45:5 But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:6 ============ Gen 45:6 For the famine has been in the land these two years, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting.(nasb) Gen 45:6 Biennium est enim quod cœpit fames esse in terra: et adhuc quinque anni restant, quibus nec arari poterit, nec meti.(vulgate) Génesis 45:6 Que ya ha habido dos años de hambre en medio de la tierra, y aún quedan cinco años en que ni habrá arada ni siega.(E) Genèse 45:6 Voilà deux ans que la famine est dans le pays; et pendant cinq années encore, il n'y aura ni labour, ni moisson.(F) Gen 45:6 Denn dies sind zwei Jahre, daß es teuer im Lande ist; und sind noch fünf Jahre, daß kein Pflügen und Ernten sein wird.(D) Gen 45:6 τοῦτο γὰρ δεύτερον ἔτος λιμὸς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἔτι λοιπὰ πέντε ἔτη ἐν οἷς οὐκ ἔσται ἀροτρίασις οὐδὲ ἄμητος(lxx) Gen 45:6 For these two years the famine has been in the land, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:7 ============ Gen 45:7 God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to keep you alive by a great deliverance.(nasb) Gen 45:7 Præmisitque me Deus ut reservemini super terram, et escas ad vivendum habere possitis.(vulgate) Génesis 45:7 Y Dios me envió delante de vosotros, para preservaros posteridad sobre la tierra, y para daros vida por medio de gran liberación.(E) Genèse 45:7 Dieu m'a envoyé devant vous pour vous faire subsister dans le pays, et pour vous faire vivre par une grande délivrance.(F) Gen 45:7 Aber Gott hat mich vor euch her gesandt, daß er euch übrig behalte auf Erden und euer Leben errette durch eine große Errettung.(D) Gen 45:7 ἀπέστειλεν γάρ με ὁ θεὸς ἔμπροσθεν ὑμῶν ὑπολείπεσθαι ὑμῶν κατάλειμμα ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐκθρέψαι ὑμῶν κατάλειψιν μεγάλην(lxx) Gen 45:7 And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:8 ============ Gen 45:8 Now, therefore, it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his household and ruler over all the land of Egypt.(nasb) Gen 45:8 Non vestro consilio, sed Dei voluntate huc missum sum: qui fecit me quasi patrem Pharaonis, et dominum universæ domus ejus, ac principem in omni terra Ægypti.(vulgate) Génesis 45:8 Así pues, no me enviasteis vosotros acá, sino Dios, que me ha puesto por padre de Faraón, y por señor de toda su casa, y por gobernador en toda la tierra de Egipto.(E) Genèse 45:8 Ce n'est donc pas vous qui m'avez envoyé ici, mais c'est Dieu; il m'a établi père de Pharaon, maître de toute sa maison, et gouverneur de tout le pays d'Egypte.(F) Gen 45:8 Und nun, ihr habt mich nicht hergesandt, sondern Gott, der hat mich Pharao zum Vater gesetzt und zum Herrn über all sein Haus und zum Fürsten in ganz Ägyptenland.(D) Gen 45:8 νῦν οὖν οὐχ ὑμεῖς με ἀπεστάλκατε ὧδε ἀλλ᾽ ἢ ὁ θεός καὶ ἐποίησέν με ὡς πατέρα Φαραω καὶ κύριον παντὸς τοῦ οἴκου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἄρχοντα πάσης γῆς Αἰγύπτου(lxx) Gen 45:8 So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:9 ============ Gen 45:9 Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, 'Thus says your son Joseph, "God has made me lord of all Egypt; come down to me, do not delay.(nasb) Gen 45:9 Festinate, et ascendite ad patrem meum, et dicetis ei: Hæc mandat filius tuus Joseph: Deus fecit me dominum universæ terræ Ægypti: descende ad me, ne moreris,(vulgate) Génesis 45:9 Daos prisa, id a mi padre y decidle: Así dice tu hijo José: Dios me ha puesto por señor de todo Egipto; ven a mí, no te detengas:(E) Genèse 45:9 Hâtez-vous de remonter auprès de mon père, et vous lui direz: Ainsi a parlé ton fils Joseph: Dieu m'a établi seigneur de toute l'Egypte; descends vers moi, ne tarde pas!(F) Gen 45:9 Eilet nun und zieht hinauf zu meinem Vater und sagt ihm: Das läßt dir Joseph, dein Sohn, sagen: Gott hat mich zum Herrn in ganz Ägypten gesetzt; komm herab zu mir, säume nicht;(D) Gen 45:9 σπεύσαντες οὖν ἀνάβητε πρὸς τὸν πατέρα μου καὶ εἴπατε αὐτῷ τάδε λέγει ὁ υἱός σου Ιωσηφ ἐποίησέν με ὁ θεὸς κύριον πάσης γῆς Αἰγύπτου κατάβηθι οὖν πρός με καὶ μὴ μείνῃς(lxx) Gen 45:9 Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, 'Thus says your son Joseph: "God has made me lord of all Egypt; come down to me, do not tarry.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:10 ============ Gen 45:10 You shall live in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children's children and your flocks and your herds and all that you have.(nasb) Gen 45:10 et habitabis in terra Gessen: erisque juxta me tu, et filii tui, et filii filiorum tuorum, oves tuæ, et armenta tua, et universa quæ possides:(vulgate) Génesis 45:10 Y habitarás en la tierra de Gosén, y estarás cerca de mí, tú y tus hijos, y los hijos de tus hijos, tus ganados y tus vacas, y todo lo que tienes.(E) Genèse 45:10 Tu habiteras dans le pays de Gosen, et tu seras près de moi, toi, tes fils, et les fils de tes fils, tes brebis et tes boeufs, et tout ce qui est à toi.(F) Gen 45:10 du sollst im Lande Gosen wohnen und nahe bei mir sein, du und deine Kinder und deine Kindeskinder, dein kleines und dein großes Vieh und alles, was du hast.(D) Gen 45:10 καὶ κατοικήσεις ἐν γῇ Γεσεμ Ἀραβίας καὶ ἔσῃ ἐγγύς μου σὺ καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν υἱῶν σου τὰ πρόβατά σου καὶ αἱ βόες σου καὶ ὅσα σοί ἐστιν(lxx) Gen 45:10 You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me, you and your children, your children's children, your flocks and your herds, and all that you have.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:11 ============ Gen 45:11 There I will also provide for you, for there are still five years of famine to come, and you and your household and all that you have would be impoverished."'(nasb) Gen 45:11 ibique te pascam (adhuc enim quinque anni residui sunt famis) ne et tu pereas, et domus tua, et omnia quæ possides.(vulgate) Génesis 45:11 Y allí te alimentaré, pues aún quedan cinco años de hambre, para que no perezcas de pobreza tú y tu casa, y todo lo que tienes:(E) Genèse 45:11 Là, je te nourrirai, car il y aura encore cinq années de famine; et ainsi tu ne périras point, toi, ta maison, et tout ce qui est à toi.(F) Gen 45:11 Ich will dich daselbst versorgen; denn es sind noch fünf Jahre der Teuerung, auf daß du nicht verderbest mit deinem Hause und allem, was du hast.(D) Gen 45:11 καὶ ἐκθρέψω σε ἐκεῖ ἔτι γὰρ πέντε ἔτη λιμός ἵνα μὴ ἐκτριβῇς σὺ καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου καὶ πάντα τὰ ὑπάρχοντά σου(lxx) Gen 45:11 There I will provide for you, lest you and your household, and all that you have, come to poverty; for there are still five years of famine." '(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:12 ============ Gen 45:12 Behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see, that it is my mouth which is speaking to you.(nasb) Gen 45:12 En oculi vestri, et oculi fratris mei Benjamin, vident quod os meum loquatur ad vos.(vulgate) Génesis 45:12 Y he aquí, vuestros ojos ven, y los ojos de mi hermano Benjamín, que mi boca os habla.(E) Genèse 45:12 Vous voyez de vos yeux, et mon frère Benjamin voit de ses yeux que c'est moi-même qui vous parle.(F) Gen 45:12 Siehe, eure Augen sehen und die Augen meines Bruders Benjamin, daß ich mündlich mit euch rede.(D) Gen 45:12 ἰδοὺ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμῶν βλέπουσιν καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ Βενιαμιν τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ μου ὅτι τὸ στόμα μου τὸ λαλοῦν πρὸς ὑμᾶς(lxx) Gen 45:12 And behold, your eyes and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see that it is my mouth that speaks to you.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:13 ============ Gen 45:13 Now you must tell my father of all my splendor in Egypt, and all that you have seen; and you must hurry and bring my father down here."(nasb) Gen 45:13 Nuntiate patri meo universam gloriam meam, et cuncta quæ vidistis in Ægypto: festinate, et adducite eum ad me.(vulgate) Génesis 45:13 Haréis, pues, saber a mi padre toda mi gloria en Egipto, y todo lo que habéis visto; y daos prisa, y traed acá a mi padre.(E) Genèse 45:13 Racontez à mon père toute ma gloire en Egypte, et tout ce que vous avez vu; et vous ferez descendre ici mon père au plus tôt.(F) Gen 45:13 Verkündigt meinem Vater alle meine Herrlichkeit in Ägypten und alles, was ihr gesehen habt; eilt und kommt hernieder mit meinem Vater hierher.(D) Gen 45:13 ἀπαγγείλατε οὖν τῷ πατρί μου πᾶσαν τὴν δόξαν μου τὴν ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ ὅσα εἴδετε καὶ ταχύναντες καταγάγετε τὸν πατέρα μου ὧδε(lxx) Gen 45:13 So you shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that you have seen; and you shall hurry and bring my father down here."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:14 ============ Gen 45:14 Then he fell on his brother Benjamin's neck and wept, and Benjamin wept on his neck.(nasb) Gen 45:14 Cumque amplexatus recidisset in collum Benjamin fratris sui, flevit: illo quoque similiter flente super collum ejus.(vulgate) Génesis 45:14 Y se echó sobre el cuello de Benjamín su hermano, y lloró; y también Benjamín lloró sobre su cuello.(E) Genèse 45:14 Il se jeta au cou de Benjamin, son frère, et pleura; et Benjamin pleura sur son cou.(F) Gen 45:14 Und er fiel seinem Bruder Benjamin um den Hals und weinte; und Benjamin weinte auch an seinem Halse.(D) Gen 45:14 καὶ ἐπιπεσὼν ἐπὶ τὸν τράχηλον Βενιαμιν τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ ἔκλαυσεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ καὶ Βενιαμιν ἔκλαυσεν ἐπὶ τῷ τραχήλῳ αὐτοῦ(lxx) Gen 45:14 Then he fell on his brother Benjamin's neck and wept, and Benjamin wept on his neck.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:15 ============ Gen 45:15 He kissed all his brothers and wept on them, and afterward his brothers talked with him.(nasb) Gen 45:15 Osculatusque est Joseph omnes fratres suos, et ploravit super singulos: post quæ ausi sunt loqui ad eum.(vulgate) Génesis 45:15 Y besó a todos sus hermanos, y lloró sobre ellos: y después sus hermanos hablaron con él.(E) Genèse 45:15 Il embrassa aussi tous ses frères, en pleurant. Après quoi, ses frères s'entretinrent avec lui.(F) Gen 45:15 Und er küßte alle seine Brüder und weinte über ihnen. Darnach redeten seine Brüder mit ihm.(D) Gen 45:15 καὶ καταφιλήσας πάντας τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ ἔκλαυσεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτοῖς καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἐλάλησαν οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ πρὸς αὐτόν(lxx) Gen 45:15 Moreover he kissed all his brothers and wept over them, and after that his brothers talked with him.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:16 ============ Gen 45:16 Now when the news was heard in Pharaoh's house that Joseph's brothers had come, it pleased Pharaoh and his servants.(nasb) Gen 45:16 Auditumque est, et celebri sermone vulgatum in aula regis: Venerunt fratres Joseph: et gavisus est Pharao, atque omnis familia ejus.(vulgate) Génesis 45:16 Y se oyó la noticia en la casa de Faraón, diciendo: Los hermanos de José han venido. Y esto agradó a Faraón, y a sus siervos.(E) Genèse 45:16 Le bruit se répandit dans la maison de Pharaon que les frères de Joseph étaient arrivés: ce qui fut agréable à Pharaon et à ses serviteurs.(F) Gen 45:16 Und da das Gerücht kam in Pharaos Haus, daß Josephs Brüder gekommen wären, gefiel es Pharao wohl und allen seinen Knechten.(D) Gen 45:16 καὶ διεβοήθη ἡ φωνὴ εἰς τὸν οἶκον Φαραω λέγοντες ἥκασιν οἱ ἀδελφοὶ Ιωσηφ ἐχάρη δὲ Φαραω καὶ ἡ θεραπεία αὐτοῦ(lxx) Gen 45:16 Now the report of it was heard in Pharaoh's house, saying, "Joseph's brothers have come." So it pleased Pharaoh and his servants well.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:17 ============ Gen 45:17 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Say to your brothers, 'Do this: load your beasts and go to the land of Canaan,(nasb) Gen 45:17 Dixitque ad Joseph ut imperaret fratribus suis, dicens: Onerantes jumenta, ite in terram Chanaan,(vulgate) Génesis 45:17 Y dijo Faraón a José: Di a tus hermanos: Haced esto: Cargad vuestras bestias, e id, volved a la tierra de Canaán;(E) Genèse 45:17 Pharaon dit à Joseph: Dis à tes frères: Faites ceci. Chargez vos bêtes, et partez pour le pays de Canaan;(F) Gen 45:17 Und Pharao sprach zu Joseph: Sage deinen Brüdern: Tut also, beladet eure Tiere, zieht hin;(D) Gen 45:17 εἶπεν δὲ Φαραω πρὸς Ιωσηφ εἰπὸν τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς σου τοῦτο ποιήσατε γεμίσατε τὰ πορεῖα ὑμῶν καὶ ἀπέλθατε εἰς γῆν Χανααν(lxx) Gen 45:17 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Say to your brothers, 'Do this: Load your animals and depart; go to the land of Canaan.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 45:18 ============ Gen 45:18 and take your father and your households and come to me, and I will give you the best of the land of Egypt and you will eat the fat of the land.'(nasb) Gen 45:18 et tollite inde patrem vestrum et cognationem, et venite ad me: et ego dabo vobis omnia bona Ægypti, ut comedatis medullam terræ.(vulgate) Génesis 45:18 y tomad a vuestro padre y vuestras familias, y venid a mí, que yo os daré lo bueno de la tierra de Egipto y comeréis la grosura de la tierra.(E) Genèse 45:18 prenez votre père et vos familles, et venez auprès de moi.
