Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 8:6 ============ 1Sa 8:6 But the thing was displeasing in the sight of Samuel when they said, "Give us a king to judge us." And Samuel prayed to the Lord.(nasb) 1Sa 8:6 Displicuit sermo in oculis Samuelis, eo quod dixissent: Da nobis regem, ut judicet nos. Et oravit Samuel ad Dominum.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 8:6 Pero desagradó a Samuel esta palabra que dijeron: Danos ahora un rey que nos juzgue. Y Samuel oró a Jehová.(E) 1 Samuel 8:6 Samuel vit avec déplaisir qu'ils disaient: Donne-nous un roi pour nous juger. However, you shall solemnly forewarn them, and show them the behavior of the king who will reign over them."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 8:10 ============ 1Sa 8:10 So Samuel spoke all the words of the Lord to the people who had asked of him a king.(nasb) 1Sa 8:10 Dixit itaque Samuel omnia verba Domini ad populum, qui petierat a se regem.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 8:10 Y dijo Samuel todas las palabras de Jehová al pueblo que le había pedido rey.(E) 1 Samuel 8:10 Samuel rapporta toutes les paroles de l'Eternel au peuple qui lui demandait un roi.(F) 1Sa 8:10 Und Samuel sagte alle Worte des HERRN dem Volk, das von ihm einen König forderte,(D) 1Sa 8:10 καὶ εἶπεν Σαμουηλ πᾶν τὸ ῥῆμα κυρίου πρὸς τὸν λαὸν τοὺς αἰτοῦντας παρ᾽ αὐτοῦ βασιλέα(lxx) 1Sa 8:10 So Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who asked him for a king.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 8:11 ============ 1Sa 8:11 He said, "This will be the procedure of the king who will reign over you: he will take your sons and place them for himself in his chariots and among his horsemen and they will run before his chariots.(nasb) 1Sa 8:11 Et ait: Hoc erit jus regis, qui imperaturus est vobis: filios vestros tollet, et ponet in curribus suis: facietque sibi equites et præcursores quadrigarum suarum,(vulgate) 1 Samuel 8:11 Dijo, pues: Éste será el proceder del rey que hubiere de reinar sobre vosotros: Tomará vuestros hijos, y [los] pondrá en sus carros, y en su gente de a caballo, para que corran delante de sus carros;(E) 1 Samuel 8:11 Il dit: Voici quel sera le droit du roi qui régnera sur vous. Il prendra vos fils, et il les mettra sur ses chars et parmi ses cavaliers, afin qu'ils courent devant son char;(F) 1Sa 8:11 und sprach: Das wird des Königs Recht sein, der über euch herrschen wird: Eure Söhne wird er nehmen zu seinem Wagen und zu Reitern, und daß sie vor seinem Wagen her laufen,(D) 1Sa 8:11 καὶ εἶπεν τοῦτο ἔσται τὸ δικαίωμα τοῦ βασιλέως ὃς βασιλεύσει ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς τοὺς υἱοὺς ὑμῶν λήμψεται καὶ θήσεται αὐτοὺς ἐν ἅρμασιν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἱππεῦσιν αὐτοῦ καὶ προτρέχοντας τῶν ἁρμάτων αὐτοῦ(lxx) 1Sa 8:11 And he said, "This will be the behavior of the king who will reign over you: He will take your sons and appoint them for his own chariots and to be his horsemen, and some will run before his chariots.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 8:12 ============ 1Sa 8:12 He will appoint for himself commanders of thousands and of fifties, and some to do his plowing and to reap his harvest and to make his weapons of war and equipment for his chariots.(nasb) 1Sa 8:12 et constituet sibi tribunos, et centuriones, et aratores agrorum suorum, et messores segetum, et fabros armorum et curruum suorum.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 8:12 y elegirá capitanes de mil, y capitanes de cincuenta; And you will be his servants.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 8:18 ============ 1Sa 8:18 Then you will cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the Lord will not answer you in that day."(nasb) 1Sa 8:18 Et clamabitis in die illa a facie regis vestri, quem elegistis vobis: et non exaudiet vos Dominus in die illa, quia petistis vobis regem.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 8:18 Y clamaréis aquel día a causa de vuestro rey que os habréis elegido, mas Jehová no os oirá en aquel día.(E) 1 Samuel 8:18 Et alors vous crierez contre votre roi que vous vous serez choisi, mais l'Eternel ne vous exaucera point.(F) 1Sa 8:18 Wenn ihr dann schreien werdet zu der Zeit über euren König, den ihr euch erwählt habt, so wird der HERR zu derselben Zeit euch nicht erhören.(D) 1Sa 8:18 καὶ βοήσεσθε ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἐκ προσώπου βασιλέως ὑμῶν οὗ ἐξελέξασθε ἑαυτοῖς καὶ οὐκ ἐπακούσεται κύριος ὑμῶν ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις ὅτι ὑμεῖς ἐξελέξασθε ἑαυτοῖς βασιλέα(lxx) 1Sa 8:18 And you will cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, and the Lord will not hear you in that day."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 8:19 ============ 1Sa 8:19 Nevertheless, the people refused to listen to the voice of Samuel, and they said, "No, but there shall be a king over us,(nasb) 1Sa 8:19 Noluit autem populus audire vocem Samuelis, sed dixerunt: Nequaquam: rex enim erit super nos,(vulgate) 1 Samuel 8:19 Pero el pueblo no quiso oír la voz de Samuel; antes dijeron: No, sino que habrá rey sobre nosotros:(E) 1 Samuel 8:19 Le peuple refusa d'écouter la voix de Samuel.
