Now therefore, please be on guard in the morning, and stay in a secret place and hide yourself.(nasb) 1Sa 19:2 et indicavit Jonathas David, dicens: Quærit Saul pater meus occidere te: quapropter observa te, quæso, mane: et manebis clam, et absconderis.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 19:2 Pero Jonatán, hijo de Saúl, amaba a David en gran manera. Therefore please be on your guard until morning, and stay in a secret place and hide.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 19:3 ============ 1Sa 19:3 I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where you are, and I will speak with my father about you; if I find out anything, then I will tell you."(nasb) 1Sa 19:3 Ego autem egrediens stabo juxta patrem meum in agro, ubicumque fueris: et ego loquar de te ad patrem meum, et quodcumque videro, nuntiabo tibi.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 19:3 Y yo saldré y estaré junto a mi padre en el campo donde estés; y hablaré de ti a mi padre, y lo que yo vea, te lo haré saber.(E) 1 Samuel 19:3 Je sortirai et je me tiendrai à côté de mon père dans le champ où tu seras; je parlerai de toi à mon père, je verrai ce qu'il dira, et je te le rapporterai.(F) 1Sa 19:3 Ich will aber herausgehen und neben meinem Vater stehen auf dem Felde, da du bist, und von dir mit meinem Vater reden; und was ich sehe, will ich dir kundtun.(D) 1Sa 19:3 καὶ ἐγὼ ἐξελεύσομαι καὶ στήσομαι ἐχόμενος τοῦ πατρός μου ἐν ἀγρῷ οὗ ἐὰν ᾖς ἐκεῖ καὶ ἐγὼ λαλήσω περὶ σοῦ πρὸς τὸν πατέρα μου καὶ ὄψομαι ὅ τι ἐὰν ᾖ καὶ ἀπαγγελῶ σοι(lxx) 1Sa 19:3 And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where you are, and I will speak with my father about you. Then what I observe, I will tell you."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 19:4 ============ 1Sa 19:4 Then Jonathan spoke well of David to Saul his father and said to him, "Do not let the king sin against his servant David, since he has not sinned against you, and since his deeds have been very beneficial to you.(nasb) 1Sa 19:4 Locutus est ergo Jonathas de David bona ad Saul patrem suum: dixitque ad eum: Ne pecces rex in servum tuum David, quia non peccavit tibi, et opera ejus bona sunt tibi valde.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 19:4 Y Jonatán habló bien de David a Saúl su padre, y le dijo: No peque el rey contra su siervo David, pues que ninguna cosa ha cometido contra ti; antes sus obras te [han sido] muy buenas;(E) 1 Samuel 19:4 Jonathan parla favorablement de David à Saül, son père: Que le roi, dit-il, ne commette pas un péché à l'égard de son serviteur David, car il n'en a point commis envers toi. Why then will you sin against innocent blood by putting David to death without a cause?"(nasb) 1Sa 19:5 Et posuit animam suam in manu sua, et percussit Philisthæum, et fecit Dominus salutem magnam universo Israëli: vidisti, et lætatus es. Quare ergo peccas in sanguine innoxio, interficiens David, qui est absque culpa?(vulgate) 1 Samuel 19:5 porque él puso su vida en su mano, y mató al filisteo, y Jehová hizo una gran salvación a todo Israel. Warum willst du dich denn an unschuldigem Blut versündigen, daß du David ohne Ursache tötest?(D) 1Sa 19:5 καὶ ἔθετο τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὸν ἀλλόφυλον καὶ ἐποίησεν κύριος σωτηρίαν μεγάλην καὶ πᾶς Ισραηλ εἶδον καὶ ἐχάρησαν καὶ ἵνα τί ἁμαρτάνεις εἰς αἷμα ἀθῷον θανατῶσαι τὸν Δαυιδ δωρεάν(lxx) 1Sa 19:5 For he took his life in his hands and killed the Philistine, and the Lord brought about a great deliverance for all Israel. So Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence as in times past.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 19:8 ============ 1Sa 19:8 When there was war again, David went out and fought with the Philistines and defeated them with great slaughter, so that they fled before him.(nasb) 1Sa 19:8 Motum est autem rursum bellum: et egressus David, pugnavit adversum Philisthiim: percussitque eos plaga magna, et fugerunt a facie ejus.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 19:8 Y volvió a haber guerra; y salió David y peleó contra los filisteos, y los hirió con grande estrago, y huyeron delante de él.(E) 1 Samuel 19:8 La guerre continuait. David marcha contre les Philistins, et se battit avec eux; il leur fit éprouver une grande défaite, et ils s'enfuirent devant lui.(F) 1Sa 19:8 Es erhob sich aber wieder ein Streit, und David zog aus und stritt wider die Philister und tat eine große Schlacht, daß sie vor ihm flohen.(D) 1Sa 19:8 καὶ προσέθετο ὁ πόλεμος γενέσθαι πρὸς Σαουλ καὶ κατίσχυσεν Δαυιδ καὶ ἐπολέμησεν τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους καὶ ἐπάταξεν ἐν αὐτοῖς πληγὴν μεγάλην σφόδρα καὶ ἔφυγον ἐκ προσώπου αὐτοῦ(lxx) 1Sa 19:8 And there was war again; and David went out and fought with the Philistines, and struck them with a mighty blow, and they fled from him.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 19:9 ============ 1Sa 19:9 Now there was an evil spirit from the Lord on Saul as he was sitting in his house with his spear in his hand, and David was playing the harp with his hand.(nasb) 1Sa 19:9 Et factus est spiritus Domini malus in Saul: sedebat autem in domo sua, et tenebat lanceam: porro David psallebat manu sua.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 19:9 Y el espíritu malo de parte de Jehová vino sobre Saúl; y estando sentado en su casa tenía una lanza en la mano, mientras David tocaba con [su] mano.(E) 1 Samuel 19:9 Alors le mauvais esprit de l'Eternel fut sur Saül, qui était assis dans sa maison, sa lance à la main. David jouait,(F) 1Sa 19:9 Aber der böse Geist vom HERRN kam über Saul, und er saß in seinem Hause und hatte einen Spieß in seiner Hand; David aber spielte auf den Saiten mit der Hand.(D) 1Sa 19:9 καὶ ἐγένετο πνεῦμα θεοῦ πονηρὸν ἐπὶ Σαουλ καὶ αὐτὸς ἐν οἴκῳ καθεύδων καὶ δόρυ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ Δαυιδ ἔψαλλεν ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτοῦ(lxx) 1Sa 19:9 Now the distressing spirit from the Lord came upon Saul as he sat in his house with his spear in his hand. And David was playing music with his hand.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 19:10 ============ 1Sa 19:10 Saul tried to pin David to the wall with the spear, but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, so that he stuck the spear into the wall. So David fled and escaped that night.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 19:11 ============ 1Sa 19:11 Then Saul sent messengers to David's house to watch him, in order to put him to death in the morning. But Michal, David's wife, told him, saying, "If you do not save your life tonight, tomorrow you will be put to death."(nasb) 1Sa 19:11 Misit ergo Saul satellites suos in domum David, ut custodirent eum, et interficeretur mane. Das verkündigte dem David sein Weib Michal und sprach: Wirst du nicht diese Nacht deine Seele erretten, so mußt du morgen sterben.(D) 1Sa 19:11 καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν τῇ νυκτὶ ἐκείνῃ καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Σαουλ ἀγγέλους εἰς οἶκον Δαυιδ φυλάξαι αὐτὸν τοῦ θανατῶσαι αὐτὸν πρωί καὶ ἀπήγγειλεν τῷ Δαυιδ Μελχολ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ λέγουσα ἐὰν μὴ σὺ σώσῃς τὴν ψυχὴν σαυτοῦ τὴν νύκτα ταύτην αὔριον θανατωθήσῃ(lxx) 1Sa 19:11 Saul also sent messengers to David's house to watch him and to kill him in the morning. And Michal, David's wife, told him, saying, "If you do not save your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 19:12 ============ 1Sa 19:12 So Michal let David down through a window, and he went out and fled and escaped.(nasb) 1Sa 19:12 deposuit eum per fenestram. And Michal said to Saul, "He said to me, 'Let me go! Why should I put you to death?'"(nasb) 1Sa 19:17 Dixitque Saul ad Michol: Quare sic illusisti mihi, et dimisisti inimicum meum ut fugeret? And Michal answered Saul, "He said to me, 'Let me go! Why should I kill you?'
