And he came to him and said, "There were two men in one city, the one rich and the other poor.(nasb) 2Sa 12:1 Misit ergo Dominus Nathan ad David: qui cum venisset ad eum, dixit ei: Duo viri erant in civitate una, unus dives, et alter pauper.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 12:1 Y Jehová envió a Natán a David, el cual viniendo a él, le dijo: Había dos hombres en una ciudad, el uno rico, y el otro pobre.(E) 2 Samuel 12:1 L'Eternel envoya Nathan vers David. It would eat of his bread and drink of his cup and lie in his bosom, And was like a daughter to him.(nasb) 2Sa 12:3 Pauper autem nihil habebat omnino, præter ovem unam parvulam quam emerat et nutrierat, et quæ creverat apud eum cum filiis ejus simul, de pane illius comedens, et de calice ejus bibens, et in sinu illius dormiens: eratque illi sicut filia.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 12:3 pero el pobre no tenía más que una sola corderita, que él había comprado y criado, y que había crecido con él y con sus hijos juntamente, comiendo de su bocado y bebiendo de su vaso, y durmiendo en su seno; y la tenía como a una hija.(E) 2 Samuel 12:3 Le pauvre n'avait rien du tout qu'une petite brebis, qu'il avait achetée; il la nourrissait, et elle grandissait chez lui avec ses enfants; elle mangeait de son pain, buvait dans sa coupe, dormait sur son sein, et il la regardait comme sa fille.(F) 2Sa 12:3 aber der Arme hatte nichts denn ein einziges kleines Schäflein, das er gekauft hatte. Und er nährte es, daß es groß ward bei ihm und bei seinen Kindern zugleich: es aß von seinem Bissen und trank von seinem Becher und schlief in seinem Schoß, und er hielt es wie eine Tochter.(D) 2Sa 12:3 καὶ τῷ πένητι οὐδὲν ἀλλ᾽ ἢ ἀμνὰς μία μικρά ἣν ἐκτήσατο καὶ περιεποιήσατο καὶ ἐξέθρεψεν αὐτήν καὶ ἡδρύνθη μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ μετὰ τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό ἐκ τοῦ ἄρτου αὐτοῦ ἤσθιεν καὶ ἐκ τοῦ ποτηρίου αὐτοῦ ἔπινεν καὶ ἐν τῷ κόλπῳ αὐτοῦ ἐκάθευδεν καὶ ἦν αὐτῷ ὡς θυγάτηρ(lxx) 2Sa 12:3 But the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb which he had bought and nourished; and it grew up together with him and with his children. It ate of his own food and drank from his own cup and lay in his bosom; and it was like a daughter to him.(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 12:4 ============ 2Sa 12:4 "Now a traveler came to the rich man, And he was unwilling to take from his own flock or his own herd, To prepare for the wayfarer who had come to him; Rather he took the poor man's ewe lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him."(nasb) 2Sa 12:4 Cum autem peregrinus quidam venisset ad divitem, parcens ille sumere de ovibus et de bobus suis, ut exhiberet convivium peregrino illi qui venerat ad se, tulit ovem viri pauperis, et præparavit cibos homini qui venerat ad se.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 12:4 Y vino uno de camino al hombre rico; y él no quiso tomar de sus ovejas y de sus vacas, para guisar para el caminante que había venido a él, sino que tomó la corderita de aquel hombre pobre, y la aderezó para aquél que había venido a él.(E) 2 Samuel 12:4 Un voyageur arriva chez l'homme riche. Et le riche n'a pas voulu toucher à ses brebis ou à ses boeufs, pour préparer un repas au voyageur qui était venu chez lui; il a pris la brebis du pauvre, et l'a apprêtée pour l'homme qui était venu chez lui.(F) 2Sa 12:4 Da aber zu dem reichen Mann ein Gast kam, schonte er zu nehmen von seinen Schafen und Rindern, daß er dem Gast etwas zurichtete, der zu ihm gekommen war, und nahm das Schaf des armen Mannes und richtete es zu dem Mann, der zu ihm gekommen war.(D) 2Sa 12:4 καὶ ἦλθεν πάροδος τῷ ἀνδρὶ τῷ πλουσίῳ καὶ ἐφείσατο λαβεῖν ἐκ τῶν ποιμνίων αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐκ τῶν βουκολίων αὐτοῦ τοῦ ποιῆσαι τῷ ξένῳ ὁδοιπόρῳ ἐλθόντι πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ ἔλαβεν τὴν ἀμνάδα τοῦ πένητος καὶ ἐποίησεν αὐτὴν τῷ ἀνδρὶ τῷ ἐλθόντι πρὸς αὐτόν(lxx) 2Sa 12:4 And a traveler came to the rich man, who refused to take from his own flock and from his own herd to prepare one for the wayfaring man who had come to him; but he took the poor man's lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him."(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 12:5 ============ 2Sa 12:5 Then David's anger burned greatly against the man, and he said to Nathan, "As the Lord lives, surely the man who has done this deserves to die.(nasb) 2Sa 12:5 Iratus autem indignatione David adversus hominem illum nimis, dixit ad Nathan: Vivit Dominus, quoniam filius mortis est vir qui fecit hoc.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 12:5 Entonces se encendió el furor de David en gran manera contra aquel hombre, y dijo a Natán: Vive Jehová, que el que tal hizo es digno de muerte.(E) 2 Samuel 12:5 La colère de David s'enflamma violemment contre cet homme, et il dit à Nathan: L'Eternel est vivant! L'homme qui a fait cela mérite la mort.(F) 2Sa 12:5 Da ergrimmte David mit großem Zorn wider den Mann und sprach zu Nathan: So wahr der HERR lebt, der Mann ist ein Kind des Todes, der das getan hat!(D) 2Sa 12:5 καὶ ἐθυμώθη ὀργῇ Δαυιδ σφόδρα τῷ ἀνδρί καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ πρὸς Ναθαν ζῇ κύριος ὅτι υἱὸς θανάτου ὁ ἀνὴρ ὁ ποιήσας τοῦτο(lxx) 2Sa 12:5 So David's anger was greatly aroused against the man, and he said to Nathan, "As the Lord lives, the man who has done this shall surely die!(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 12:6 ============ 2Sa 12:6 He must make restitution for the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing and had no compassion."(nasb) 2Sa 12:6 Ovem reddet in quadruplum, eo quod fecerit verbum istud, et non pepercerit.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 12:6 Y debe pagar la cordera con cuatro tantos, porque hizo esta tal cosa, y no tuvo misericordia.(E) 2 Samuel 12:6 Et il rendra quatre brebis, pour avoir commis cette action et pour avoir été sans pitié.(F) 2Sa 12:6 Dazu soll er vierfältig bezahlen, darum daß er solches getan hat und nicht geschont hat.(D) 2Sa 12:6 καὶ τὴν ἀμνάδα ἀποτείσει ἑπταπλασίονα ἀνθ᾽ ὧν ὅτι ἐποίησεν τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο καὶ περὶ οὗ οὐκ ἐφείσατο(lxx) 2Sa 12:6 And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he did this thing and because he had no pity."(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 12:7 ============ 2Sa 12:7 Nathan then said to David, "You are the man! Thus says the Lord God of Israel, 'It is I who anointed you king over Israel and it is I who delivered you from the hand of Saul.(nasb) 2Sa 12:7 Dixit autem Nathan ad David: Tu es ille vir. Hæc dicit Dominus Deus Israël: Ego unxi te in regem super Israël, et ego erui te de manu Saul,(vulgate) 2 Samuel 12:7 Entonces dijo Natán a David: Tú [eres] ese hombre. So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Ich habe dich zum König gesalbt über Israel und habe dich errettet aus der Hand Sauls,(D) 2Sa 12:7 καὶ εἶπεν Ναθαν πρὸς Δαυιδ σὺ εἶ ὁ ἀνὴρ ὁ ποιήσας τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἐγώ εἰμι ἔχρισά σε εἰς βασιλέα ἐπὶ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐγώ εἰμι ἐρρυσάμην σε ἐκ χειρὸς Σαουλ(lxx) 2Sa 12:7 Then Nathan said to David, "You are the man! Thus says the Lord God of Israel: 'I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 12:8 ============ 2Sa 12:8 I also gave you your master's house and your master's wives into your care, and I gave you the house of Israel and Judah; and if that had been too little, I would have added to you many more things like these!(nasb) 2Sa 12:8 et dedi tibi domum domini tui, et uxores domini tui in sinu tuo, dedique tibi domum Israël et Juda: et si parva sunt ista, adjiciam tibi multo majora.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 12:8 y te di la casa de tu señor, y las esposas de tu señor en tu seno; además te di la casa de Israel y de Judá; y si [esto fuera] poco, yo te habría añadido tales y tales cosas.(E) 2 Samuel 12:8 je t'ai mis en possession de la maison de ton maître, j'ai placé dans ton sein les femmes de ton maître, et je t'ai donné la maison d'Israël et de Juda. Et si cela eût été peu, j'y aurais encore ajouté.(F) 2Sa 12:8 und habe dir deines Herrn Haus gegeben, dazu seine Weiber in deinen Schoß, und habe dir das Haus Israel und Juda gegeben; und ist das zu wenig, will ich noch dies und das dazutun.(D) 2Sa 12:8 καὶ ἔδωκά σοι τὸν οἶκον τοῦ κυρίου σου καὶ τὰς γυναῖκας τοῦ κυρίου σου ἐν τῷ κόλπῳ σου καὶ ἔδωκά σοι τὸν οἶκον Ισραηλ καὶ Ιουδα καὶ εἰ μικρόν ἐστιν προσθήσω σοι κατὰ ταῦτα(lxx) 2Sa 12:8 I gave you your master's house and your master's wives into your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more!(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 12:9 ============ 2Sa 12:9 Why have you despised the word of the Lord by doing evil in His sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword, have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the sons of Ammon.(nasb) 2Sa 12:9 Quare ergo contempsisti verbum Domini, ut faceres malum in conspectu meo? Uriam Hethæum percussisti gladio, et uxorem illius accepisti in uxorem tibi, et interfecisti eum gladio filiorum Ammon.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 12:9 ¿Por qué, pues, tuviste en poco la palabra de Jehová, haciendo lo malo delante de sus ojos? A Urías heteo heriste a espada, y tomaste por tu esposa a su esposa, y a él mataste con la espada de los hijos de Amón.(E) 2 Samuel 12:9 Pourquoi donc as-tu méprisé la parole de l'Eternel, en faisant ce qui est mal à ses yeux? Tu as frappé de l'épée Urie, le Héthien; tu as pris sa femme pour en faire ta femme, et lui, tu l'as tué par l'épée des fils d'Ammon.(F) 2Sa 12:9 Warum hast du denn das Wort des HERRN verachtet, daß du solches Übel vor seinen Augen tatest? Uria, den Hethiter, hast du erschlagen mit dem Schwert; sein Weib hast du dir zum Weib genommen; ihn aber hast du erwürgt mit dem Schwert der Kinder Ammon.(D) 2Sa 12:9 τί ὅτι ἐφαύλισας τὸν λόγον κυρίου τοῦ ποιῆσαι τὸ πονηρὸν ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς αὐτοῦ τὸν Ουριαν τὸν Χετταῖον ἐπάταξας ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ καὶ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ ἔλαβες σεαυτῷ εἰς γυναῖκα καὶ αὐτὸν ἀπέκτεινας ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ υἱῶν Αμμων(lxx) 2Sa 12:9 Why have you despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in His sight? "(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 12:13 ============ 2Sa 12:13 Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the Lord." And Nathan said to David, "The Lord also has taken away your sin; you shall not die.(nasb) 2Sa 12:13 Et dixit David ad Nathan: Peccavi Domino. Dixitque Nathan ad David: Dominus quoque transtulit peccatum tuum: non morieris.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 12:13 Entonces dijo David a Natán: Pequé contra Jehová. Y Natán dijo a David: También Jehová ha remitido tu pecado; no morirás.(E) 2 Samuel 12:13 David dit à Nathan: J'ai péché contre l'Eternel! Nathan sprach zu David: So hat auch der HERR deine Sünde weggenommen; du wirst nicht sterben.(D) 2Sa 12:13 καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ τῷ Ναθαν ἡμάρτηκα τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ εἶπεν Ναθαν πρὸς Δαυιδ καὶ κύριος παρεβίβασεν τὸ ἁμάρτημά σου οὐ μὴ ἀποθάνῃς(lxx) 2Sa 12:13 So David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the Lord." And Nathan said to David, "The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die.(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 12:14 ============ 2Sa 12:14 However, because by this deed you have given occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also that is born to you shall surely die."(nasb) 2Sa 12:14 Verumtamen quoniam blasphemare fecisti inimicos Domini, propter verbum hoc, filius qui natus est tibi, morte morietur.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 12:14 Mas por cuanto con este asunto hiciste blasfemar a los enemigos de Jehová, el hijo que te [ha] nacido morirá ciertamente.(E) 2 Samuel 12:14 Mais, parce que tu as fait blasphémer les ennemis de l'Eternel, en commettant cette action, le fils qui t'est né mourra.(F) 2Sa 12:14 Aber weil du die Feinde des HERRN hast durch diese Geschichte lästern gemacht, wird der Sohn, der dir geboren ist, des Todes sterben.(D) 2Sa 12:14 πλὴν ὅτι παροξύνων παρώξυνας τοὺς ἐχθροὺς κυρίου ἐν τῷ ῥήματι τούτῳ καί γε ὁ υἱός σου ὁ τεχθείς σοι θανάτῳ ἀποθανεῖται(lxx) 2Sa 12:14 However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die."(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 12:15 ============ 2Sa 12:15 So Nathan went to his house. Then the Lord struck the child that Uriah's widow bore to David, so that he was very sick.(nasb) 2Sa 12:15 Et reversus est Nathan in domum suam. Percussit quoque Dominus parvulum quem pepererat uxor Uriæ David, et desperatus est.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 12:15 Y Natán se volvió a su casa.
