So Joab put the words in her mouth.(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 14:4 ============ 2Sa 14:4 Now when the woman of Tekoa spoke to the king, she fell on her face to the ground and prostrated herself and said, "Help, O king."(nasb) 2Sa 14:4 Itaque cum ingressa fuisset mulier Thecuitis ad regem, cecidit coram eo super terram, et adoravit, et dixit: Serva me, rex.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 14:4 Entró, pues, aquella mujer de Tecoa al rey, y postrándose en tierra sobre su rostro hizo reverencia, y dijo: Oh rey, salva.(E) 2 Samuel 14:4 La femme de Tekoa alla parler au roi. Quæ respondit: Heu, mulier vidua ego sum: mortuus est enim vir meus.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 14:5 Y el rey dijo: ¿Qué tienes? Thus they will extinguish my coal which is left, so as to leave my husband neither name nor remnant on the face of the earth."(nasb) 2Sa 14:7 Et ecce consurgens universa cognatio adversum ancillam tuam, dicit: Trade eum qui percussit fratrem suum, ut occidamus eum pro anima fratris sui quem interfecit, et deleamus hæredem: et quærunt extinguere scintillam meam quæ relicta est, ut non supersit viro meo nomen, et reliquiæ super terram.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 14:7 Y he aquí toda la familia se ha levantado contra tu sierva, diciendo: Entrega al que mató a su hermano, para que le hagamos morir por la vida de su hermano a quien él mató, y quitemos también el heredero. Así apagarán el ascua que me ha quedado, no dejando a mi marido nombre ni remanente sobre la tierra.(E) 2 Samuel 14:7 Et voici, toute la famille s'est levée contre ta servante, en disant: Livre le meurtrier de son frère! Nous voulons le faire mourir, pour la vie de son frère qu'il a tué; nous voulons détruire même l'héritier! Ils éteindraient ainsi le tison qui me reste, pour ne laisser à mon mari ni nom ni survivant sur la face de la terre.(F) 2Sa 14:7 Und siehe, nun steht auf die ganze Freundschaft wider deine Magd und sagen: Gib her den, der seinen Bruder erschlagen hat, daß wir ihn töten für die Seele seines Bruders, den er erwürgt hat, und auch den Erben vertilgen; und wollen meinen Funken auslöschen, der noch übrig ist, daß meinem Mann kein Name und nichts Übriges bleibe auf Erden.(D) 2Sa 14:7 καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐπανέστη ὅλη ἡ πατριὰ πρὸς τὴν δούλην σου καὶ εἶπαν δὸς τὸν παίσαντα τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ θανατώσομεν αὐτὸν ἀντὶ τῆς ψυχῆς τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ οὗ ἀπέκτεινεν καὶ ἐξαροῦμεν καί γε τὸν κληρονόμον ὑμῶν καὶ σβέσουσιν τὸν ἄνθρακά μου τὸν καταλειφθέντα ὥστε μὴ θέσθαι τῷ ἀνδρί μου κατάλειμμα καὶ ὄνομα ἐπὶ προσώπου τῆς γῆς(lxx) 2Sa 14:7 And now the whole family has risen up against your maidservant, and they said, 'Deliver him who struck his brother, that we may execute him for the life of his brother whom he killed; and we will destroy the heir also.' Je donnerai des ordres à ton sujet.(F) 2Sa 14:8 Der König sprach zum Weibe: Gehe heim, ich will für dich gebieten.(D) 2Sa 14:8 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεύς ὑγιαίνουσα βάδιζε εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου κἀγὼ ἐντελοῦμαι περὶ σοῦ(lxx) 2Sa 14:8 Then the king said to the woman, "Go to your house, and I will give orders concerning you."(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 14:9 ============ 2Sa 14:9 The woman of Tekoa said to the king, "O my lord, the king, the iniquity is on me and my father's house, but the king and his throne are guiltless."(nasb) 2Sa 14:9 Dixitque mulier Thecuitis ad regem: In me, domine mi rex, sit iniquitas, et in domum patris mei: rex autem et thronus ejus sit innocens.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 14:9 Y la mujer de Tecoa dijo al rey: Rey señor mío, la maldad sea sobre mí y sobre la casa de mi padre; mas el rey y su trono sean sin culpa.(E) 2 Samuel 14:9 La femme de Tekoa dit au roi: C'est sur moi, ô roi mon seigneur, et sur la maison de mon père, que le châtiment va tomber; le roi et son trône n'auront pas à en souffrir.(F) 2Sa 14:9 Und das Weib von Thekoa sprach zum König: Mein Herr König, die Missetat sei auf mir und meines Vaters Hause; der König aber und sein Stuhl sei unschuldig.(D) 2Sa 14:9 καὶ εἶπεν ἡ γυνὴ ἡ Θεκωῖτις πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα ἐπ᾽ ἐμέ κύριέ μου βασιλεῦ ἡ ἀνομία καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον τοῦ πατρός μου καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ ὁ θρόνος αὐτοῦ ἀθῷος(lxx) 2Sa 14:9 And the woman of Tekoa said to the king, "My lord, O king, let the iniquity be on me and on my father's house, and the king and his throne be guiltless."(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 14:10 ============ 2Sa 14:10 So the king said, "Whoever speaks to you, bring him to me, and he will not touch you anymore."(nasb) 2Sa 14:10 Et ait rex: Qui contradixerit tibi, adduc eum ad me, et ultra non addet ut tangat te.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 14:10 Y el rey dijo: Al que hablare contra ti, tráelo a mí, que no te tocará más.(E) 2 Samuel 14:10 Le roi dit: Si quelqu'un parle contre toi, amène-le-moi, et il ne lui arrivera plus de te toucher.(F) 2Sa 14:10 Der König sprach: Wer wider dich redet, den bringe zu mir, so soll er nicht mehr dich antasten.(D) 2Sa 14:10 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεύς τίς ὁ λαλῶν πρὸς σέ καὶ ἄξεις αὐτὸν πρὸς ἐμέ καὶ οὐ προσθήσει ἔτι ἅψασθαι αὐτοῦ(lxx) 2Sa 14:10 So the king said, "Whoever says anything to you, bring him to me, and he shall not touch you anymore."(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 14:11 ============ 2Sa 14:11 Then she said, "Please let the king remember the Lord your God, so that the avenger of blood will not continue to destroy, otherwise they will destroy my son." And he said, "As the Lord lives, not one hair of your son shall fall to the ground."(nasb) 2Sa 14:11 Quæ ait: Recordetur rex Domini Dei sui, ut non multiplicentur proximi sanguinis ad ulciscendum, et nequaquam interficiant filium meum. Qui ait: Vivit Dominus, quia non cadet de capillis filii tui super terram.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 14:11 Dijo ella entonces: Te ruego, oh rey, que te acuerdes de Jehová tu Dios, que no dejes a los cercanos de la sangre aumentar el daño con destruir a mi hijo. And he said, "As the Lord lives, not one hair of your son shall fall to the ground."(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 14:12 ============ 2Sa 14:12 Then the woman said, "Please let your maidservant speak a word to my lord the king." Er sprach: Sage an!(D) 2Sa 14:12 καὶ εἶπεν ἡ γυνή λαλησάτω δὴ ἡ δούλη σου πρὸς τὸν κύριόν μου τὸν βασιλέα ῥῆμα καὶ εἶπεν λάλησον(lxx) 2Sa 14:12 Therefore the woman said, "Please, let your maidservant speak another word to my lord the king." And he said, "Say on."(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 14:13 ============ 2Sa 14:13 The woman said, "Why then have you planned such a thing against the people of God? For in speaking this word the king is as one who is guilty, in that the king does not bring back his banished one.(nasb) 2Sa 14:13 Dixitque mulier: Quare cogitasti hujuscemodi rem contra populum Dei, et locutus est rex verbum istud, ut peccet, et non reducat ejectum suum?(vulgate) 2 Samuel 14:13 Entonces la mujer dijo: ¿Por qué, pues, has pensado tú cosa semejante contra el pueblo de Dios? porque al hablar el rey esta palabra se hace culpable él mismo, ya que el rey no hace volver a su fugitivo.(E) 2 Samuel 14:13 La femme dit: Pourquoi penses-tu de la sorte à l'égard du peuple de Dieu, puisqu'il résulte des paroles mêmes du roi que le roi est comme coupable en ne rappelant pas celui qu'il a proscrit?(F) 2Sa 14:13 Das Weib sprach: Warum bist du also gesinnt wider Gottes Volk? Denn da der König solches geredet hat, ist er wie ein Schuldiger, dieweil er seinen Verstoßenen nicht wieder holen läßt.(D) 2Sa 14:13 καὶ εἶπεν ἡ γυνή ἵνα τί ἐλογίσω τοιοῦτο ἐπὶ λαὸν θεοῦ ἦ ἐκ στόματος τοῦ βασιλέως ὁ λόγος οὗτος ὡς πλημμέλεια τοῦ μὴ ἐπιστρέψαι τὸν βασιλέα τὸν ἐξωσμένον αὐτοῦ(lxx) 2Sa 14:13 So the woman said: "Why then have you schemed such a thing against the people of God? For the king speaks this thing as one who is guilty, in that the king does not bring his banished one home again.(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 14:14 ============ 2Sa 14:14 For we will surely die and are like water spilled on the ground which cannot be gathered up again. Yet God does not take away life, but plans ways so that the banished one will not be cast out from him.(nasb) 2Sa 14:14 Omnes morimur, et quasi aquæ dilabimur in terram, quæ non revertuntur: nec vult Deus perire animam, sed retractat cogitans ne penitus pereat qui abjectus est.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 14:14 Porque de cierto morimos, y [somos] como aguas derramadas en la tierra, que no pueden volver a recogerse; y Dios no hace acepción de personas, sino que provee los medios para que su desterrado no quede alejado de Él.(E) 2 Samuel 14:14 Il nous faut certainement mourir, et nous serons comme des eaux répandues à terre et qui ne se rassemblent plus; Dieu n'ôte pas la vie, mais il désire que le fugitif ne reste pas banni de sa présence.(F) 2Sa 14:14 Denn wir sterben eines Todes und sind wie Wasser, so in die Erde verläuft, das man nicht aufhält; und Gott will nicht das Leben wegnehmen, sondern bedenkt sich, daß nicht das Verstoßene auch von ihm verstoßen werde.(D) 2Sa 14:14 ὅτι θανάτῳ ἀποθανούμεθα καὶ ὥσπερ τὸ ὕδωρ τὸ καταφερόμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ὃ οὐ συναχθήσεται καὶ λήμψεται ὁ θεὸς ψυχήν καὶ λογιζόμενος τοῦ ἐξῶσαι ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐξωσμένον(lxx) 2Sa 14:14 For we will surely die and become like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. Yet God does not take away a life; but He devises means, so that His banished ones are not expelled from Him.(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 14:15 ============ 2Sa 14:15 Now the reason I have come to speak this word to my lord the king is that the people have made me afraid; so your maidservant said, 'Let me now speak to the king, perhaps the king will perform the request of his maidservant.(nasb) 2Sa 14:15 Nunc igitur veni, ut loquar ad dominum meum regem verbum hoc, præsente populo. Et dixit ancilla tua: Loquar ad regem, si quomodo faciat rex verbum ancillæ suæ.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 14:15 Y el que yo haya venido ahora para decir esto al rey mi señor, se debe a que el pueblo me atemorizó. Mas tu sierva dijo: Hablaré ahora al rey; quizá él hará lo que su sierva diga.(E) 2 Samuel 14:15 Maintenant, si je suis venue dire ces choses au roi mon seigneur, c'est que le peuple m'a effrayée. Et ta servante a dit: Je veux parler au roi; peut-être le roi fera-t-il ce que dira sa servante.(F) 2Sa 14:15 So bin ich nun gekommen, mit meinem Herrn König solches zu reden; denn das Volk macht mir bang. Denn deine Magd gedachte: Ich will mit dem König reden; vielleicht wird er tun, was seine Magd sagt.(D) 2Sa 14:15 καὶ νῦν ὃ ἦλθον λαλῆσαι πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα τὸν κύριόν μου τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο ὅτι ὄψεταί με ὁ λαός καὶ ἐρεῖ ἡ δούλη σου λαλησάτω δὴ πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα εἴ πως ποιήσει ὁ βασιλεὺς τὸ ῥῆμα τῆς δούλης αὐτοῦ(lxx) 2Sa 14:15 Now therefore, I have come to speak of this thing to my lord the king because the people have made me afraid. It would be better for me still to be there."' Mejor me fuera estar aún allá. Vea yo ahora el rostro del rey; y si hay en mí pecado, máteme.(E) 2 Samuel 14:32 Absalom répondit à Joab: Voici, je t'ai fait dire: Viens ici, et je t'enverrai vers le roi, afin que tu lui dises: Pourquoi suis-je revenu de Gueschur? Il vaudrait mieux pour moi que j'y fusse encore. Je désire maintenant voir la face du roi; et s'il y a quelque crime en moi, qu'il me fasse mourir.(F) 2Sa 14:32 Absalom sprach zu Joab: Siehe, ich sandte nach dir und ließ dir sagen: Komm her, daß ich dich zum König sende und sagen lasse: Warum bin ich von Gessur gekommen? Es wäre mir besser, daß ich noch da wäre. And when he had called for Absalom, he came to the king and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king.
