And Ziba said, "The donkeys are for the king's household to ride, and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine, for whoever is faint in the wilderness to drink."(nasb) 2Sa 16:2 Et dixit rex Sibæ: Quid sibi volunt hæc? Ziba sprach: Die Esel sollen für das Haus des Königs sein, darauf zu reiten, und die Brote und Feigenkuchen für die Diener, zu essen, und der Wein, zu trinken, wenn sie müde werden in der Wüste.(D) 2Sa 16:2 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεὺς πρὸς Σιβα τί ταῦτά σοι καὶ εἶπεν Σιβα τὰ ὑποζύγια τῇ οἰκίᾳ τοῦ βασιλέως τοῦ ἐπικαθῆσθαι καὶ οἱ ἄρτοι καὶ οἱ φοίνικες εἰς βρῶσιν τοῖς παιδαρίοις καὶ ὁ οἶνος πιεῖν τοῖς ἐκλελυμένοις ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ(lxx) 2Sa 16:2 And the king said to Ziba, "What do you mean to do with these?" So Ziba said, "The donkeys are for the king's household to ride on, the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine for those who are faint in the wilderness to drink."(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 16:3 ============ 2Sa 16:3 Then the king said, "And where is your master's son?" And Ziba said to the king, "Behold, he is staying in Jerusalem, for he said, 'Today the house of Israel will restore the kingdom of my father to me.'"(nasb) 2Sa 16:3 Et ait rex: Ubi est filius domini tui? Responditque Siba regi: Remansit in Jerusalem, dicens: Hodie restituet mihi domus Israël regnum patris mei.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 16:3 Y dijo el rey: ¿Dónde [está] el hijo de tu señor? And Ziba said to the king, "Indeed he is staying in Jerusalem, for he said, 'Today the house of Israel will restore the kingdom of my father to me.' "(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 16:4 ============ 2Sa 16:4 So the king said to Ziba, "Behold, all that belongs to Mephibosheth is yours." And Ziba said, "I prostrate myself; let me find favor in your sight, O my lord, the king!"(nasb) 2Sa 16:4 Et ait rex Sibæ: Tua sint omnia quæ fuerunt Miphiboseth. Dixitque Siba: Oro ut inveniam gratiam coram te, domine mi rex.~(vulgate) 2 Samuel 16:4 Entonces el rey dijo a Siba: He aquí, [sea] tuyo todo lo que tiene Mefiboset. And Ziba said, "I humbly bow before you, that I may find favor in your sight, my lord, O king!"(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 16:5 ============ 2Sa 16:5 When King David came to Bahurim, behold, there came out from there a man of the family of the house of Saul whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera; he came out cursing continually as he came.(nasb) 2Sa 16:5 Venit ergo rex David usque Bahurim: et ecce egrediebatur inde vir de cognatione domus Saul, nomine Semei, filius Gera: procedebatque egrediens, et maledicebat,(vulgate) 2 Samuel 16:5 Y vino el rey David hasta Bahurim; y he aquí salía uno de la familia de la casa de Saúl, el cual se llamaba Simeí, hijo de Gera; y salía maldiciendo,(E) 2 Samuel 16:5 David était arrivé jusqu'à Bachurim. Et voici, il sortit de là un homme de la famille et de la maison de Saül, nommé Schimeï, fils de Guéra. Come out! You bloodthirsty man, you rogue!(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 16:8 ============ 2Sa 16:8 The Lord has returned upon you all the bloodshed of the house of Saul, in whose place you have reigned; and the Lord has given the kingdom into the hand of your son Absalom. And behold, you are taken in your own evil, for you are a man of bloodshed!"(nasb) 2Sa 16:8 Reddidit tibi Dominus universum sanguinem domus Saul: quoniam invasisti regnum pro eo, et dedit Dominus regnum in manu Absalom filii tui: et ecce premunt te mala tua, quoniam vir sanguinum es.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 16:8 Jehová te ha dado el pago de toda la sangre de la casa de Saúl, en lugar del cual tú has reinado; pero Jehová ha entregado el reino en mano de tu hijo Absalón; y he aquí, [has sido tomado] en tu maldad, porque [eres] hombre sanguinario.(E) 2 Samuel 16:8 L'Eternel fait retomber sur toi tout le sang de la maison de Saül, dont tu occupais le trône, et l'Eternel a livré le royaume entre les mains d'Absalom, ton fils; et te voilà malheureux comme tu le mérites, car tu es un homme de sang!(F) 2Sa 16:8 Der HERR hat dir vergolten alles Blut des Hauses Sauls, daß du an seiner Statt bist König geworden. Nun hat der HERR das Reich gegeben in die Hand deines Sohnes Absalom; und siehe, nun steckst du in deinem Unglück; denn du bist ein Bluthund.(D) 2Sa 16:8 ἐπέστρεψεν ἐπὶ σὲ κύριος πάντα τὰ αἵματα τοῦ οἴκου Σαουλ ὅτι ἐβασίλευσας ἀντ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔδωκεν κύριος τὴν βασιλείαν ἐν χειρὶ Αβεσσαλωμ τοῦ υἱοῦ σου καὶ ἰδοὺ σὺ ἐν τῇ κακίᾳ σου ὅτι ἀνὴρ αἱμάτων σύ(lxx) 2Sa 16:8 The Lord has brought upon you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose place you have reigned; and the Lord has delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom your son. So now you are caught in your own evil, because you are a bloodthirsty man!"(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 16:9 ============ 2Sa 16:9 Then Abishai the son of Zeruiah said to the king, "Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Let me go over now and cut off his head."(nasb) 2Sa 16:9 Dixit autem Abisai filius Sarviæ regi: Quare maledicit canis hic mortuus domino meo regi? vadam, et amputabo caput ejus.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 16:9 Entonces Abisai, hijo de Sarvia, dijo al rey: ¿Por qué maldice este perro muerto a mi señor el rey? Please, let me go over and take off his head!"(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 16:10 ============ 2Sa 16:10 But the king said, "What have I to do with you, O sons of Zeruiah? If he curses, and if the Lord has told him, 'Curse David,' then who shall say, 'Why have you done so?'"(nasb) 2Sa 16:10 Et ait rex: Quid mihi et vobis est, filii Sarviæ? dimittite eum, ut maledicat: Dominus enim præcepit ei ut malediceret David: et quis est qui audeat dicere quare sic fecerit?(vulgate) 2 Samuel 16:10 Y el rey respondió: ¿Qué tengo yo con vosotros, hijos de Sarvia? Si él así maldice, es porque Jehová le ha dicho que maldiga a David; ¿quién, pues, le dirá: Por qué lo haces así?(E) 2 Samuel 16:10 Mais le roi dit: Qu'ai-je affaire avec vous, fils de Tseruja? Laßt ihn fluchen; denn der HERR hat's ihn geheißen: Fluche David! Wer kann nun sagen: Warum tust du also?(D) 2Sa 16:10 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεύς τί ἐμοὶ καὶ ὑμῖν υἱοὶ Σαρουιας ἄφετε αὐτὸν καὶ οὕτως καταράσθω ὅτι κύριος εἶπεν αὐτῷ καταρᾶσθαι τὸν Δαυιδ καὶ τίς ἐρεῖ ὡς τί ἐποίησας οὕτως(lxx) 2Sa 16:10 But the king said, "What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? So let him curse, because the Lord has said to him, 'Curse David.' Who then shall say, 'Why have you done so?' "(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 16:11 ============ 2Sa 16:11 Then David said to Abishai and to all his servants, "Behold, my son who came out from me seeks my life; how much more now this Benjamite? Let him alone and let him curse, for the Lord has told him.(nasb) 2Sa 16:11 Et ait rex Abisai, et universis servis suis: Ecce filius meus qui egressus est de utero meo, quærit animam meam: quanto magis nunc filius Jemini? Dimittite eum ut maledicat juxta præceptum Domini:(vulgate) 2 Samuel 16:11 Y dijo David a Abisai y a todos sus siervos: He aquí, mi hijo que ha salido de mis entrañas, acecha a mi vida: ¿cuánto más ahora un hijo de Benjamín? Dejadle que maldiga, que Jehová se lo ha dicho.(E) 2 Samuel 16:11 Et David dit à Abischaï et à tous ses serviteurs: Voici, mon fils, qui est sorti de mes entrailles, en veut à ma vie; à plus forte raison ce Benjamite! Laissez-le, et qu'il maudisse, car l'Eternel le lui a dit.(F) 2Sa 16:11 Und David sprach zu Abisai und zu allen seinen Knechten: Siehe, mein Sohn, der von meinem Leibe gekommen ist, steht mir nach meinem Leben; warum nicht auch jetzt der Benjaminiter? Laßt ihn, daß er fluche; denn der HERR hat's ihn geheißen.(D) 2Sa 16:11 καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ πρὸς Αβεσσα καὶ πρὸς πάντας τοὺς παῖδας αὐτοῦ ἰδοὺ ὁ υἱός μου ὁ ἐξελθὼν ἐκ τῆς κοιλίας μου ζητεῖ τὴν ψυχήν μου καὶ προσέτι νῦν ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ Ιεμινι ἄφετε αὐτὸν καταρᾶσθαι ὅτι εἶπεν αὐτῷ κύριος(lxx) 2Sa 16:11 And David said to Abishai and all his servants, "See how my son who came from my own body seeks my life. How much more now may this Benjamite? Let him alone, and let him curse; for so the Lord has ordered him.(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 16:12 ============ 2Sa 16:12 Perhaps the Lord will look on my affliction and return good to me instead of his cursing this day."(nasb) 2Sa 16:12 si forte respiciat Dominus afflictionem meam, et reddat mihi Dominus bonum pro maledictione hac hodierna.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 16:12 Quizá mirará Jehová a mi aflicción, y me dará Jehová bien por sus maldiciones de hoy.(E) 2 Samuel 16:12 Peut-être l'Eternel regardera-t-il mon affliction, et me fera-t-il du bien en retour des malédictions d'aujourd'hui.(F) 2Sa 16:12 Vielleicht wird der HERR mein Elend ansehen und mir mit Gutem vergelten sein heutiges Fluchen.(D) 2Sa 16:12 εἴ πως ἴδοι κύριος ἐν τῇ ταπεινώσει μου καὶ ἐπιστρέψει μοι ἀγαθὰ ἀντὶ τῆς κατάρας αὐτοῦ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ(lxx) 2Sa 16:12 It may be that the Lord will look on my affliction, and that the Lord will repay me with good for his cursing this day."(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 16:13 ============ 2Sa 16:13 So David and his men went on the way; and Shimei went along on the hillside parallel with him and as he went he cursed and cast stones and threw dust at him.(nasb) 2Sa 16:13 Ambulabat itaque David et socii ejus per viam cum eo. Semei autem per jugum montis ex latere contra illum gradiebatur, maledicens, et mittens lapides adversum eum, terramque spargens.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 16:13 Y como David y los suyos iban por el camino, Simeí iba por el lado del monte delante de él, andando y maldiciendo, y arrojando piedras delante de él, y esparciendo polvo.(E) 2 Samuel 16:13 David et ses gens continuèrent leur chemin.
