But, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? Why does my lord seek this thing? Why should he be a cause of guilt to Israel?"(nasb) 1Ch 21:3 Responditque Joab: Augeat Dominus populum suum centuplum quam sunt: nonne, domine mi rex, omnes servi tui sunt? quare hoc quærit dominus meus, quod in peccatum reputetur Israëli?(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 21:3 Y dijo Joab: Añada Jehová a su pueblo cien veces más. But, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? Why then does my lord require this thing? Therefore Joab departed and went throughout all Israel and came to Jerusalem.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 21:5 ============ 1Ch 21:5 Joab gave the number of the census of all the people to David. Vois maintenant ce que je dois répondre à celui qui m'envoie.(F) 1Ch 21:12 entweder drei Jahre Teuerung, oder drei Monate Flucht vor deinen Widersachern und vor dem Schwert deiner Feinde, daß dich's ergreife, oder drei Tage das Schwert des HERRN und Pestilenz im Lande, daß der Engel des HERRN verderbe in allen Grenzen Israels. Oh! que je tombe entre les mains de l'Eternel, car ses compassions sont immenses; mais que je ne tombe pas entre les mains des hommes!(F) 1Ch 21:13 David sprach zu Gad: Mir ist sehr angst; doch ich will in die Hand des HERRN fallen, denn seine Barmherzigkeit ist sehr groß, und will nicht in Menschenhände fallen.(D) 1Ch 21:13 καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ πρὸς Γαδ στενά μοι καὶ τὰ τρία σφόδρα ἐμπεσοῦμαι δὴ εἰς χεῖρας κυρίου ὅτι πολλοὶ οἱ οἰκτιρμοὶ αὐτοῦ σφόδρα καὶ εἰς χεῖρας ἀνθρώπων οὐ μὴ ἐμπέσω(lxx) 1Ch 21:13 And David said to Gad, "I am in great distress. Please let me fall into the hand of the Lord, for His mercies are very great; but do not let me fall into the hand of man."(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 21:14 ============ 1Ch 21:14 So the Lord sent a pestilence on Israel; 70,000 men of Israel fell.(nasb) 1Ch 21:14 Misit ergo Dominus pestilentiam in Israël: et ceciderunt de Israël septuaginta millia virorum.(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 21:14 Así Jehová envió pestilencia en Israel, y cayeron de Israel setenta mil hombres.(E) 1 Chroniques 21:14 L'Eternel envoya la peste en Israël, et il tomba soixante-dix mille hommes d'Israël.(F) 1Ch 21:14 Da ließ der HERR Pestilenz in Israel kommen, daß siebzigtausend Mann fielen aus Israel.(D) 1Ch 21:14 καὶ ἔδωκεν κύριος θάνατον ἐν Ισραηλ καὶ ἔπεσον ἐξ Ισραηλ ἑβδομήκοντα χιλιάδες ἀνδρῶν(lxx) 1Ch 21:14 So the Lord sent a plague upon Israel, and seventy thousand men of Israel fell.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 21:15 ============ 1Ch 21:15 And God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it; but as he was about to destroy it, the Lord saw and was sorry over the calamity, and said to the destroying angel, "It is enough; now relax your hand." And the angel of the Lord was standing by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.(nasb) 1Ch 21:15 Misit quoque angelum in Jerusalem ut percuteret eam: cumque percuteretur, vidit Dominus, et misertus est super magnitudine mali: et imperavit angelo qui percutiebat: Sufficit, jam cesset manus tua. Porro angelus Domini stabat juxta aream Ornan Jebusæi.(vulgate) 1 Crónicas 21:15 Y envió Jehová el ángel a Jerusalén para destruirla; pero cuando él estaba destruyendo, miró Jehová, y se arrepintió de aquel mal, y dijo al ángel que destruía: ¡Basta ya! Detén tu mano. Y el ángel de Jehová estaba junto a la era de Ornán el jebuseo.(E) 1 Chroniques 21:15 Dieu envoya un ange à Jérusalem pour la détruire; et comme il la détruisait, l'Eternel regarda et se repentit de ce mal, et il dit à l'ange qui détruisait: Assez! Und im Verderben sah der HERR darein und reute ihn das Übel, und er sprach zum Engel, dem Verderber: Es ist genug; laß deine Hand ab! Der Engel aber des HERRN stand bei der Tenne Ornans, des Jebusiters.(D) 1Ch 21:15 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ὁ θεὸς ἄγγελον εἰς Ιερουσαλημ τοῦ ἐξολεθρεῦσαι αὐτήν καὶ ὡς ἐξωλέθρευσεν εἶδεν κύριος καὶ μετεμελήθη ἐπὶ τῇ κακίᾳ καὶ εἶπεν τῷ ἀγγέλῳ τῷ ἐξολεθρεύοντι ἱκανούσθω σοι ἄνες τὴν χεῖρά σου καὶ ὁ ἄγγελος κυρίου ἑστὼς ἐν τῷ ἅλῳ Ορνα τοῦ Ιεβουσαίου(lxx) 1Ch 21:15 And God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it. As he was destroying, the Lord looked and relented of the disaster, and said to the angel who was destroying, "It is enough; now restrain your hand." And the angel of the Lord stood by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 21:16 ============ 1Ch 21:16 Then David lifted up his eyes and saw the angel of the Lord standing between earth and heaven, with his drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Entonces David y los ancianos se postraron sobre sus rostros, cubiertos de cilicio.(E) 1 Chroniques 21:16 David leva les yeux, et vit l'ange de l'Eternel se tenant entre la terre et le ciel et ayant à la main son épée nue tournée contre Jérusalem.
