Today's Date: ======= Nehemiah 9:1 ============ Neh 9:1 Now on the twenty-fourth day of this month the sons of Israel assembled with fasting, in sackcloth and with dirt upon them.(nasb) Neh 9:1 In die autem vigesimo quarto mensis hujus, convenerunt filii Israël in jejunio et in saccis, et humus super eos.(vulgate) Nehemías 9:1 Y el día veinticuatro del mismo mes se reunieron los hijos de Israel en ayuno, y con cilicio y tierra sobre sí.(E) Néhémie 9:1 Le vingt-quatrième jour du même mois, les enfants d'Israël s'assemblèrent, revêtus de sacs et couverts de poussière, pour la célébration d'un jeûne.(F) Neh 9:1 Am vierundzwanzigsten Tage dieses Monats kamen die Kinder Israel zusammen mit Fasten und Säcken und Erde auf ihnen(D) Neh 9:1 καὶ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ εἰκοστῇ καὶ τετάρτῃ τοῦ μηνὸς τούτου συνήχθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἐν νηστείᾳ καὶ ἐν σάκκοις(lxx) Neh 9:1 Now on the twenty-fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, in sackcloth, and with dust on their heads.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 9:2 ============ Neh 9:2 The descendants of Israel separated themselves from all foreigners, and stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.(nasb) Neh 9:2 Et separatum est semen filiorum Israël ab omni filio alienigena: et steterunt, et confitebantur peccata sua, et iniquitates patrum suorum.(vulgate) Nehemías 9:2 Y la simiente de Israel ya se había apartado de todos los extranjeros; y estando en pie, confesaron sus pecados, y las iniquidades de sus padres.(E) Néhémie 9:2 Ceux qui étaient de la race d'Israël, s'étant séparés de tous les étrangers, se présentèrent et confessèrent leurs péchés et les iniquités de leurs pères.(F) Neh 9:2 und sonderten den Samen Israels ab von allen fremden Kindern und traten hin und bekannten ihre Sünden und ihrer Väter Missetaten.(D) Neh 9:2 καὶ ἐχωρίσθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἀπὸ παντὸς υἱοῦ ἀλλοτρίου καὶ ἔστησαν καὶ ἐξηγόρευσαν τὰς ἁμαρτίας αὐτῶν καὶ τὰς ἀνομίας τῶν πατέρων αὐτῶν(lxx) Neh 9:2 Then those of Israelite lineage separated themselves from all foreigners; and they stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 9:3 ============ Neh 9:3 While they stood in their place, they read from the book of the law of the Lord their God for a fourth of the day; and for another fourth they confessed and worshiped the Lord their God.(nasb) Neh 9:3 Et consurrexerunt ad standum: et legerunt in volumine legis Domini Dei sui, quater in die, et quater confitebantur, et adorabant Dominum Deum suum.(vulgate) Nehemías 9:3 Y puestos de pie en su lugar, leyeron en el libro de la ley de Jehová su Dios la cuarta parte del día, y la cuarta parte confesaron y adoraron a Jehová su Dios.(E) Néhémie 9:3 Lorsqu'ils furent placés, on lut dans le livre de la loi de l'Eternel, leur Dieu, pendant un quart de la journée; et pendant un autre quart ils confessèrent leurs péchés et se prosternèrent devant l'Eternel, leur Dieu.(F) Neh 9:3 Und standen auf an ihrer Stätte, und man las im Gesetzbuch des HERRN, ihres Gottes, ein Viertel des Tages; und ein Viertel bekannten sie und beteten an den HERRN, ihren Gott.(D) Neh 9:3 καὶ ἔστησαν ἐπὶ στάσει αὐτῶν καὶ ἀνέγνωσαν ἐν βιβλίῳ νόμου κυρίου θεοῦ αὐτῶν καὶ ἦσαν ἐξαγορεύοντες τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ προσκυνοῦντες τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ αὐτῶν(lxx) Neh 9:3 And they stood up in their place and read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for one-fourth of the day; and for another fourth they confessed and worshiped the Lord their God.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 9:4 ============ Neh 9:4 Now on the Levites' platform stood Jeshua, Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani and Chenani, and they cried with a loud voice to the Lord their God.(nasb) Neh 9:4 Surrexerunt autem super gradum Levitarum Josue, et Bani, et Cedmihel, Sabania, Bonni, Sarebias, Bani, et Chanani: et clamaverunt voce magna ad Dominum Deum suum.(vulgate) Nehemías 9:4 Luego se levantaron sobre la grada de los levitas, Jesúa y Bani, Cadmiel, Sebanías, Buni, Serebías, Bani y Quenani, y clamaron en voz alta a Jehová su Dios.(E) Néhémie 9:4 Josué, Bani, Kadmiel, Schebania, Bunni, Schérébia, Bani et Kenani montèrent sur l'estrade des Lévites et crièrent à haute voix vers l'Eternel, leur Dieu.(F) Neh 9:4 Und auf dem hohen Platz für die Leviten standen auf Jesua, Bani, Kadmiel, Sebanja, Bunni, Serebja, Bani und Chenani und schrieen laut zu dem HERRN, ihrem Gott.(D) Neh 9:4 καὶ ἔστη ἐπὶ ἀναβάσει τῶν Λευιτῶν Ἰησοῦς καὶ υἱοὶ Καδμιηλ Σαχανια υἱὸς Σαραβια υἱοὶ Χανανι καὶ ἐβόησαν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεὸν αὐτῶν(lxx) Neh 9:4 Then Jeshua, Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani stood on the stairs of the Levites and cried out with a loud voice to the Lord their God.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 9:5 ============ Neh 9:5 Then the Levites, Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah and Pethahiah, said, "Arise, bless the Lord your God forever and ever! O may Your glorious name be blessed And exalted above all blessing and praise!(nasb) Neh 9:5 Et dixerunt Levitæ Josue, et Cedmihel, Bonni, Hasebnia, Serebia, Odaia, Sebnia, Phathathia: Surgite, benedicite Domino Deo vestro ab æterno usque in æternum: et benedicant nomini gloriæ tuæ excelso in omni benedictione et laude.(vulgate) Nehemías 9:5 Entonces los levitas, Jesúa y Cadmiel, Bani, Hasabnías, Serebías, Odías, Sebanías y Petaías, dijeron: Levantaos, bendecid a Jehová vuestro Dios desde la eternidad hasta la eternidad: Bendito sea tu glorioso nombre, el cual es exaltado sobre toda bendición y alabanza.(E) Néhémie 9:5 Et les Lévites Josué, Kadmiel, Bani, Haschabnia, Schérébia, Hodija, Schebania et Pethachja, dirent: Levez-vous, bénissez l'Eternel, votre Dieu, d'éternité en éternité! Que l'on bénisse ton nom glorieux, qui est au-dessus de toute bénédiction et de toute louange!(F) Neh 9:5 Und die Leviten Jesua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hasabneja, Serebja, Hodia, Sebanja, Pethahja sprachen: Auf! Lobet den HERRN, euren Gott, von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit, und man lobe den Namen deiner Herrlichkeit, der erhaben ist über allen Preis und Ruhm.(D) Neh 9:5 καὶ εἴποσαν οἱ Λευῖται Ἰησοῦς καὶ Καδμιηλ ἀνάστητε εὐλογεῖτε τὸν κύριον θεὸν ὑμῶν ἀπὸ τοῦ αἰῶνος καὶ ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος καὶ εὐλογήσουσιν ὄνομα δόξης σου καὶ ὑψώσουσιν ἐπὶ πάσῃ εὐλογίᾳ καὶ αἰνέσει(lxx) Neh 9:5 And the Levites, Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said: "Stand up and bless the Lord your God Forever and ever! "Blessed be Your glorious name, Which is exalted above all blessing and praise!(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 9:6 ============ Neh 9:6 "You alone are the Lord. You have made the heavens, The heaven of heavens with all their host, The earth and all that is on it, The seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them And the heavenly host bows down before You.(nasb) Neh 9:6 Tu ipse, Domine, solus, tu fecisti cælum, et cælum cælorum, et omnem exercitum eorum: terram, et universa quæ in ea sunt: maria, et omnia quæ in eis sunt: et tu vivificas omnia hæc, et exercitus cæli te adorat.(vulgate) Nehemías 9:6 Tú, sólo tú, oh Jehová; tú hiciste el cielo, y el cielo de los cielos y todo su ejército, la tierra y todo lo que está en ella, los mares y todo lo que hay en ellos; y tú has preservado todas estas cosas, y el ejército del cielo te adora.(E) Néhémie 9:6 C'est toi, Eternel, toi seul, qui as fait les cieux, les cieux des cieux et toute leur armée, la terre et tout ce qui est sur elle, les mers et tout ce qu'elles renferment. Tu donnes la vie à toutes ces choses, et l'armée des cieux se prosterne devant toi.(F) Neh 9:6 HERR, du bist's allein, du hast gemacht den Himmel und aller Himmel Himmel mit allem ihrem Heer, die Erde und alles, was darauf ist, die Meere und alles, was darin ist; du machst alles lebendig, und das himmlische Heer betet dich an.(D) Neh 9:6 καὶ εἶπεν Εσδρας σὺ εἶ αὐτὸς κύριος μόνος σὺ ἐποίησας τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὸν οὐρανὸν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν στάσιν αὐτῶν τὴν γῆν καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν αὐτῇ τὰς θαλάσσας καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐν αὐταῖς καὶ σὺ ζωοποιεῖς τὰ πάντα καὶ σοὶ προσκυνοῦσιν αἱ στρατιαὶ τῶν οὐρανῶν(lxx) Neh 9:6 You alone are the Lord; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, And You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 9:7 ============ Neh 9:7 "You are the Lord God, Who chose Abram And brought him out from Ur of the Chaldees, And gave him the name Abraham.(nasb) Neh 9:7 Tu ipse, Domine Deus, qui elegisti Abram, et eduxisti eum de igne Chaldæorum, et posuisti nomen ejus Abraham:(vulgate) Nehemías 9:7 Tú, eres oh Jehová, el Dios que escogiste a Abram, y lo sacaste de Ur de los caldeos, y le pusiste el nombre Abraham;(E) Néhémie 9:7 C'est toi, Eternel Dieu, qui as choisi Abram, qui l'as fait sortir d'Ur en Chaldée, et qui lui as donné le nom d'Abraham.(F) Neh 9:7 Du bist der HERR, Gott, der du Abram erwählt hast und ihn von Ur in Chaldäa ausgeführt und Abraham genannt(D) Neh 9:7 σὺ εἶ κύριος ὁ θεός σὺ ἐξελέξω ἐν Αβραμ καὶ ἐξήγαγες αὐτὸν ἐκ τῆς χώρας τῶν Χαλδαίων καὶ ἐπέθηκας αὐτῷ ὄνομα Αβρααμ(lxx) Neh 9:7 "You are the Lord God, Who chose Abram, And brought him out of Ur of the Chaldeans, And gave him the name Abraham;(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 9:8 ============ Neh 9:8 "You found his heart faithful before You, And made a covenant with him To give him the land of the Canaanite, Of the Hittite and the Amorite, Of the Perizzite, the Jebusite and the Girgashite" To give it to his descendants. And You have fulfilled Your promise, For You are righteous.(nasb) Neh 9:8 et invenisti cor ejus fidele coram te, et percussisti cum eo fœdus ut dares ei terram Chananæi, Hethæi, et Amorrhæi, et Pherezæi, et Jebusæi, et Gergesæi, ut dares semini ejus: et implesti verba tua, quoniam justus es.~(vulgate) Nehemías 9:8 Y hallaste fiel su corazón delante de ti, e hiciste pacto con él para darle la tierra del cananeo, del heteo, del amorreo, del ferezeo, del jebuseo y del gergeseo, para darla a su simiente: y cumpliste tu palabra, porque eres justo.(E) Néhémie 9:8 Tu trouvas son coeur fidèle devant toi, tu fis alliance avec lui, et tu promis de donner à sa postérité le pays des Cananéens, des Héthiens, des Amoréens, des Phéréziens, des Jébusiens et des Guirgasiens. Et tu as tenu ta parole, car tu es juste.(F) Neh 9:8 und sein Herz treu vor dir gefunden und einen Bund mit ihm gemacht, seinem Samen zu geben das Land der Kanaaniter, Hethiter, Amoriter, Pheresiter, Jebusiter und Girgasiter; und hast dein Wort gehalten, denn du bist gerecht.(D) Neh 9:8 καὶ εὗρες τὴν καρδίαν αὐτοῦ πιστὴν ἐνώπιόν σου καὶ διέθου πρὸς αὐτὸν διαθήκην δοῦναι αὐτῷ τὴν γῆν τῶν Χαναναίων καὶ Χετταίων καὶ Αμορραίων καὶ Φερεζαίων καὶ Ιεβουσαίων καὶ Γεργεσαίων καὶ τῷ σπέρματι αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔστησας τοὺς λόγους σου ὅτι δίκαιος σύ(lxx) Neh 9:8 You found his heart faithful before You, And made a covenant with him To give the land of the Canaanites, The Hittites, the Amorites, The Perizzites, the Jebusites, And the Girgashites-- To give it to his descendants. You have performed Your words, For You are righteous.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 9:9 ============ Neh 9:9 "You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, And heard their cry by the Red Sea.(nasb) Neh 9:9 Et vidisti afflictionem patrum nostrorum in Ægypto, clamoremque eorum audisti super mare Rubrum.(vulgate) Nehemías 9:9 Y miraste la aflicción de nuestros padres en Egipto, y oíste el clamor de ellos en el Mar Rojo;(E) Néhémie 9:9 Tu vis l'affliction de nos pères en Egypte, et tu entendis leurs cris vers la mer Rouge.(F) Neh 9:9 Und du hast angesehen das Elend unsrer Väter in Ägypten und ihr Schreien erhört am Schilfmeer(D) Neh 9:9 καὶ εἶδες τὴν ταπείνωσιν τῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ τὴν κραυγὴν αὐτῶν ἤκουσας ἐπὶ θάλασσαν ἐρυθράν(lxx) Neh 9:9 "You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, And heard their cry by the Red Sea.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 9:10 ============ Neh 9:10 "Then You performed signs and wonders against Pharaoh, Against all his servants and all the people of his land; For You knew that they acted arrogantly toward them, And made a name for Yourself as it is this day.(nasb) Neh 9:10 Et dedisti signa atque portenta in Pharaone, et in universis servis ejus, et in omni populo terræ illius: cognovisti enim quia superbe egerant contra eos: et fecisti tibi nomen, sicut et in hac die.(vulgate) Nehemías 9:10 Y diste señales y maravillas en Faraón, y en todos sus siervos, y en todo el pueblo de su tierra; porque sabías que habían hecho soberbiamente contra ellos; y te hiciste nombre grande, como en este día.(E) Néhémie 9:10 Tu opéras des miracles et des prodiges contre Pharaon, contre tous ses serviteurs et contre tout le peuple de son pays, parce que tu savais avec quelle méchanceté ils avaient traité nos pères, et tu fis paraître ta gloire comme elle paraît aujourd'hui.(F) Neh 9:10 und Zeichen und Wunder getan an Pharao und allen seinen Knechten und an allem Volk seines Landes, denn du erkanntest, daß sie stolz wider sie waren, und hast dir einen Namen gemacht, wie er jetzt ist.(D) Neh 9:10 καὶ ἔδωκας σημεῖα ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ ἐν Φαραω καὶ ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς παισὶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν παντὶ τῷ λαῷ τῆς γῆς αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἔγνως ὅτι ὑπερηφάνησαν ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς καὶ ἐποίησας σεαυτῷ ὄνομα ὡς ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη(lxx) Neh 9:10 You showed signs and wonders against Pharaoh, Against all his servants, And against all the people of his land. For You knew that they acted proudly against them. So You made a name for Yourself, as it is this day.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 9:11 ============ Neh 9:11 "You divided the sea before them, So they passed through the midst of the sea on dry ground; And their pursuers You hurled into the depths, Like a stone into raging waters.(nasb) Neh 9:11 Et mare divisisti ante eos, et transierunt per medium maris in sicco: persecutores autem eorum projecisti in profundum, quasi lapidem in aquas validas.(vulgate) Nehemías 9:11 Y dividiste el mar delante de ellos, y así pasaron por medio de él en seco; y a sus perseguidores echaste en las profundidades, como una piedra en turbulentas aguas.(E) Néhémie 9:11 Tu fendis la mer devant eux, et ils passèrent à sec au milieu de la mer; mais tu précipitas dans l'abîme, comme une pierre au fond des eaux, ceux qui marchaient à leur poursuite.(F) Neh 9:11 Und hast das Meer vor ihnen zerrissen, daß sie mitten im Meer trocken hindurchgingen, und ihre Verfolger in die Tiefe geworfen wie Steine in mächtige Wasser(D) Neh 9:11 καὶ τὴν θάλασσαν ἔρρηξας ἐνώπιον αὐτῶν καὶ παρήλθοσαν ἐν μέσῳ τῆς θαλάσσης ἐν ξηρασίᾳ καὶ τοὺς καταδιώξαντας αὐτοὺς ἔρριψας εἰς βυθὸν ὡσεὶ λίθον ἐν ὕδατι σφοδρῷ(lxx) Neh 9:11 And You divided the sea before them, So that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; And their persecutors You threw into the deep, As a stone into the mighty waters.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 9:12 ============ Neh 9:12 "And with a pillar of cloud You led them by day, And with a pillar of fire by night To light for them the way In which they were to go.(nasb) Neh 9:12 Et in columna nubis ductor eorum fuisti per diem, et in columna ignis per noctem, ut appareret eis via per quam ingrediebantur.(vulgate) Nehemías 9:12 Y con columna de nube los guiaste de día, y con columna de fuego de noche, para alumbrarles el camino por donde habían de ir.(E) Néhémie 9:12 Tu les guidas le jour par une colonne de nuée, et la nuit par une colonne de feu qui les éclairait dans le chemin qu'ils avaient à suivre.(F) Neh 9:12 und sie geführt des Tages in einer Wolkensäule und des Nachts in einer Feuersäule, ihnen zu leuchten auf dem Weg, den sie zogen.(D) Neh 9:12 καὶ ἐν στύλῳ νεφέλης ὡδήγησας αὐτοὺς ἡμέρας καὶ ἐν στύλῳ πυρὸς τὴν νύκτα τοῦ φωτίσαι αὐτοῖς τὴν ὁδόν ἐν ᾗ πορεύσονται ἐν αὐτῇ(lxx) Neh 9:12 Moreover You led them by day with a cloudy pillar, And by night with a pillar of fire, To give them light on the road Which they should travel.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 9:13 ============ Neh 9:13 "Then You came down on Mount Sinai, And spoke with them from heaven; You gave them just ordinances and true laws, Good statutes and commandments.(nasb) Neh 9:13 Ad montem quoque Sinai descendisti, et locutus es cum eis de cælo, et dedisti eis judicia recta, et legem veritatis, cæremonias, et præcepta bona:(vulgate) Nehemías 9:13 Y sobre el monte de Sinaí descendiste, y hablaste con ellos desde el cielo, y les diste juicios rectos, leyes verdaderas, y estatutos y mandamientos buenos:(E) Néhémie 9:13 Tu descendis sur la montagne de Sinaï, tu leur parlas du haut des cieux, et tu leur donnas des ordonnances justes, des lois de vérité, des préceptes et des commandements excellents.(F) Neh 9:13 Und bist herabgestiegen auf den Berg Sinai und hast mit ihnen vom Himmel geredet und gegeben ein wahrhaftiges Recht und ein rechtes Gesetz und gute Gebote und Sitten(D) Neh 9:13 καὶ ἐπὶ ὄρος Σινα κατέβης καὶ ἐλάλησας πρὸς αὐτοὺς ἐξ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἔδωκας αὐτοῖς κρίματα εὐθέα καὶ νόμους ἀληθείας προστάγματα καὶ ἐντολὰς ἀγαθάς(lxx) Neh 9:13 "You came down also on Mount Sinai, And spoke with them from heaven, And gave them just ordinances and true laws, Good statutes and commandments.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 9:14 ============ Neh 9:14 "So You made known to them Your holy sabbath, And laid down for them commandments, statutes and law, Through Your servant Moses.(nasb) Neh 9:14 et sabbatum sanctificatum tuum ostendisti eis: et mandata, et cæremonias, et legem præcepisti eis in manu Moysi servi tui.(vulgate) Nehemías 9:14 Y les hiciste conocer tu santo sábado, y por mano de Moisés tu siervo les prescribiste mandamientos, estatutos y leyes.(E) Néhémie 9:14 Tu leur fis connaître ton saint sabbat, et tu leur prescrivis par Moïse, ton serviteur, des commandements, des préceptes et une loi.(F) Neh 9:14 und deinen heiligen Sabbat ihnen kundgetan und Gebote, Sitten und Gesetz ihnen geboten durch deinen Knecht Mose,(D) Neh 9:14 καὶ τὸ σάββατόν σου τὸ ἅγιον ἐγνώρισας αὐτοῖς ἐντολὰς καὶ προστάγματα καὶ νόμον ἐνετείλω αὐτοῖς ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ δούλου σου(lxx) Neh 9:14 You made known to them Your holy Sabbath, And commanded them precepts, statutes and laws, By the hand of Moses Your servant.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 9:15 ============ Neh 9:15 "You provided bread from heaven for them for their hunger, You brought forth water from a rock for them for their thirst, And You told them to enter in order to possess The land which You swore to give them.(nasb) Neh 9:15 Panem quoque de cælo dedisti eis in fame eorum, et aquam de petra eduxisti eis sitientibus, et dixisti eis ut ingrederentur et possiderent terram, super quam levasti manum tuam ut traderes eis.~(vulgate) Nehemías 9:15 Y les diste pan del cielo en su hambre; y en su sed les sacaste aguas de la roca; y les prometiste que entrarían a poseer la tierra, por la cual alzaste tu mano y juraste que se la darías.(E) Néhémie 9:15 Tu leur donnas, du haut des cieux, du pain quand ils avaient faim, et tu fis sortir de l'eau du rocher quand ils avaient soif. Therefore You left them in the hand of their enemies, So that they had dominion over them; Yet when they returned and cried out to You, You heard from heaven; And many times You delivered them according to Your mercies,(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 9:29 ============ Neh 9:29 And admonished them in order to turn them back to Your law. Yet they acted arrogantly and did not listen to Your commandments but sinned against Your ordinances, By which if a man observes them he shall live. And they turned a stubborn shoulder and stiffened their neck, and would not listen.(nasb) Neh 9:29 Et contestatus es eos ut reverterentur ad legem tuam. Yet they acted proudly, And did not heed Your commandments, But sinned against Your judgments, 'Which if a man does, he shall live by them.'
