Hear it, and know for yourself."(nkjv) ======= Job 6:1 ============ Job 6:1 Then Job answered,(nasb) Job 6:1 Respondens autem Job, dixit:(vulgate) Job 6:1 Y respondió Job y dijo:(E) Job 6:1 Job prit la parole et dit:(F) Job 6:1 Hiob antwortete und sprach:(D) Job 6:1 ὑπολαβὼν δὲ Ιωβ λέγει(lxx) Job 6:1 Then Job answered and said:(nkjv) ======= Job 6:2 ============ Job 6:2 "Oh that my grief were actually weighed And laid in the balances together with my calamity!(nasb) Job 6:2 [Utinam appenderentur peccata mea quibus iram merui, et calamitas quam patior, in statera!(vulgate) Job 6:2 ¡Oh, que pudiesen pesar justamente mi sufrimiento, y lo pusiesen en balanza junto con mi calamidad!(E) Job 6:2 Oh! s'il était possible de peser ma douleur, Et si toutes mes calamités étaient sur la balance,(F) Job 6:2 Wenn man doch meinen Unmut wöge und mein Leiden zugleich in die Waage legte!(D) Job 6:2 εἰ γάρ τις ἱστῶν στήσαι μου τὴν ὀργήν τὰς δὲ ὀδύνας μου ἄραι ἐν ζυγῷ ὁμοθυμαδόν(lxx) Job 6:2 "Oh, that my grief were fully weighed, And my calamity laid with it on the scales!(nkjv) ======= Job 6:3 ============ Job 6:3 "For then it would be heavier than the sand of the seas; Therefore my words have been rash.(nasb) Job 6:3 Quasi arena maris hæc gravior appareret; unde et verba mea dolore sunt plena:(vulgate) Job 6:3 Porque pesarían ahora más que la arena del mar; por tanto, mis palabras han sido precipitadas.(E) Job 6:3 Elles seraient plus pesantes que le sable de la mer; Voilà pourquoi mes paroles vont jusqu'à la folie!(F) Job 6:3 Denn nun ist es schwerer als Sand am Meer; darum gehen meine Worte irre.(D) Job 6:3 καὶ δὴ ἄμμου παραλίας βαρυτέρα ἔσται ἀλλ᾽ ὡς ἔοικεν τὰ ῥήματά μού ἐστιν φαῦλα(lxx) Job 6:3 For then it would be heavier than the sand of the sea-- Therefore my words have been rash.(nkjv) ======= Job 6:4 ============ Job 6:4 "For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, Their poison my spirit drinks; The terrors of God are arrayed against me.(nasb) Job 6:4 quia sagittæ Domini in me sunt, quarum indignatio ebibit spiritum meum; et terrores Domini militant contra me.(vulgate) Job 6:4 Porque las saetas del Todopoderoso [están] en mí, cuyo veneno bebe mi espíritu; y terrores de Dios me combaten.(E) Job 6:4 Car les flèches du Tout-Puissant m'ont percé, Et mon âme en suce le venin; Les terreurs de Dieu se rangent en bataille contre moi.(F) Job 6:4 Denn die Pfeile des Allmächtigen stecken in mir: derselben Gift muß mein Geist trinken, und die Schrecknisse Gottes sind auf mich gerichtet.(D) Job 6:4 βέλη γὰρ κυρίου ἐν τῷ σώματί μού ἐστιν ὧν ὁ θυμὸς αὐτῶν ἐκπίνει μου τὸ αἷμα ὅταν ἄρξωμαι λαλεῖν κεντοῦσί με(lxx) Job 6:4 For the arrows of the Almighty are within me; My spirit drinks in their poison; The terrors of God are arrayed against me.(nkjv) ======= Job 6:5 ============ Job 6:5 "Does the wild donkey bray over his grass, Or does the ox low over his fodder?(nasb) Job 6:5 Numquid rugiet onager cum habuerit herbam? aut mugiet bos cum ante præsepe plenum steterit?(vulgate) Job 6:5 ¿Acaso gime el asno montés junto a la hierba? ¿Muge el buey junto a su pasto?(E) Job 6:5 L'âne sauvage crie-t-il auprès de l'herbe tendre? Le boeuf mugit-il auprès de son fourrage?(F) Job 6:5 Das Wild schreit nicht, wenn es Gras hat; der Ochse blökt nicht, wenn er sein Futter hat.(D) Job 6:5 τί γάρ μὴ διὰ κενῆς κεκράξεται ὄνος ἄγριος ἀλλ᾽ ἢ τὰ σῖτα ζητῶν εἰ δὲ καὶ ῥήξει φωνὴν βοῦς ἐπὶ φάτνης ἔχων τὰ βρώματα(lxx) Job 6:5 Does the wild donkey bray when it has grass, Or does the ox low over its fodder?(nkjv) ======= Job 6:6 ============ Job 6:6 "Can something tasteless be eaten without salt, Or is there any taste in the white of an egg?(nasb) Job 6:6 aut poterit comedi insulsum, quod non est sale conditum? aut potest aliquis gustare quod gustatum affert mortem?(vulgate) Job 6:6 ¿Se comerá lo desabrido sin sal? ¿O habrá gusto en la clara del huevo?(E) Job 6:6 Peut-on manger ce qui est fade et sans sel? Y a-t-il de la saveur dans le blanc d'un oeuf?(F) Job 6:6 Kann man auch essen, was ungesalzen ist? Oder wer mag kosten das Weiße um den Dotter?(D) Job 6:6 εἰ βρωθήσεται ἄρτος ἄνευ ἁλός εἰ δὲ καὶ ἔστιν γεῦμα ἐν ῥήμασιν κενοῖς(lxx) Job 6:6 Can flavorless food be eaten without salt? Or is there any taste in the white of an egg?(nkjv) ======= Job 6:7 ============ Job 6:7 "My soul refuses to touch them; They are like loathsome food to me.(nasb) Job 6:7 Quæ prius nolebat tangere anima mea, nunc, præ angustia, cibi mei sunt.(vulgate) Job 6:7 Las cosas que mi alma no quería tocar, son [ahora] mi triste alimento.(E) Job 6:7 Ce que je voudrais ne pas toucher, C'est là ma nourriture, si dégoûtante soit-elle!(F) Job 6:7 Was meine Seele widerte anzurühren, das ist meine Speise, mir zum Ekel.(D) Job 6:7 οὐ δύναται γὰρ παύσασθαί μου ἡ ψυχή βρόμον γὰρ ὁρῶ τὰ σῖτά μου ὥσπερ ὀσμὴν λέοντος(lxx) Job 6:7 My soul refuses to touch them; They are as loathsome food to me.(nkjv) ======= Job 6:8 ============ Job 6:8 "Oh that my request might come to pass, And that God would grant my longing!(nasb) Job 6:8 Quis det ut veniat petitio mea, et quod expecto tribuat mihi Deus?(vulgate) Job 6:8 ¡Quién me diera que viniese mi petición, y que me otorgase Dios lo que anhelo;(E) Job 6:8 Puisse mon voeu s'accomplir, Et Dieu veuille réaliser mon espérance!(F) Job 6:8 O, daß meine Bitte geschähe und Gott gäbe mir, was ich hoffe!(D) Job 6:8 εἰ γὰρ δῴη καὶ ἔλθοι μου ἡ αἴτησις καὶ τὴν ἐλπίδα μου δῴη ὁ κύριος(lxx) Job 6:8 "Oh, that I might have my request, That God would grant me the thing that I long for!(nkjv) ======= Job 6:9 ============ Job 6:9 "Would that God were willing to crush me, That He would loose His hand and cut me off!(nasb) Job 6:9 et qui cœpit, ipse me conterat; solvat manum suam, et succidat me?(vulgate) Job 6:9 y que agradara a Dios destruirme; que desatara su mano y acabara conmigo!(E) Job 6:9 Qu'il plaise à Dieu de m'écraser, Qu'il étende sa main et qu'il m'achève!(F) Job 6:9 Daß Gott anfinge und zerschlüge mich und ließe seine Hand gehen und zerscheiterte mich!(D) Job 6:9 ἀρξάμενος ὁ κύριος τρωσάτω με εἰς τέλος δὲ μή με ἀνελέτω(lxx) Job 6:9 That it would please God to crush me, That He would loose His hand and cut me off!(nkjv) ======= Job 6:10 ============ Job 6:10 "But it is still my consolation, And I rejoice in unsparing pain, That I have not denied the words of the Holy One.(nasb) Job 6:10 Et hæc mihi sit consolatio, ut affligens me dolore, non parcat, nec contradicam sermonibus Sancti.(vulgate) Job 6:10 Y sería aún mi consuelo, si me asaltase con dolor sin dar más tregua, que yo no he escondido las palabras del Santo.(E) Job 6:10 Il me restera du moins une consolation, Une joie dans les maux dont il m'accable: Jamais je n'ai transgressé les ordres du Saint.(F) Job 6:10 So hätte ich nun Trost, und wollte bitten in meiner Krankheit, daß er nur nicht schonte, habe ich doch nicht verleugnet die Reden des Heiligen.(D) Job 6:10 εἴη δέ μου πόλις τάφος ἐφ᾽ ἧς ἐπὶ τειχέων ἡλλόμην ἐπ᾽ αὐτῆς οὐ μὴ φείσωμαι οὐ γὰρ ἐψευσάμην ῥήματα ἅγια θεοῦ μου(lxx) Job 6:10 Then I would still have comfort; Though in anguish, I would exult, He will not spare; For I have not concealed the words of the Holy One.(nkjv) ======= Job 6:11 ============ Job 6:11 "What is my strength, that I should wait? And what is my end, that I should endure?(nasb) Job 6:11 Quæ est enim fortitudo mea, ut sustineam? aut quis finis meus, ut patienter agam?(vulgate) Job 6:11 ¿Cuál [es] mi fuerza para esperar aún? ¿Y cuál mi fin para prolongar mi vida?(E) Job 6:11 Pourquoi espérer quand je n'ai plus de force? Pourquoi attendre quand ma fin est certaine?(F) Job 6:11 Was ist meine Kraft, daß ich möge beharren? und welches ist mein Ende, daß meine Seele geduldig sein sollte?(D) Job 6:11 τίς γάρ μου ἡ ἰσχύς ὅτι ὑπομένω ἢ τίς μου ὁ χρόνος ὅτι ἀνέχεταί μου ἡ ψυχή(lxx) Job 6:11 "What strength do I have, that I should hope? And what is my end, that I should prolong my life?(nkjv) ======= Job 6:12 ============ Job 6:12 "Is my strength the strength of stones, Or is my flesh bronze?(nasb) Job 6:12 Nec fortitudo lapidum fortitudo mea, nec caro mea ænea est.(vulgate) Job 6:12 ¿[Es] mi fuerza la de las piedras, o es mi carne de bronce?(E) Job 6:12 Ma force est-elle une force de pierre? Mon corps est-il d'airain?(F) Job 6:12 Ist doch meine Kraft nicht steinern und mein Fleisch nicht ehern.(D) Job 6:12 μὴ ἰσχὺς λίθων ἡ ἰσχύς μου ἢ αἱ σάρκες μού εἰσιν χάλκειαι(lxx) Job 6:12 Is my strength the strength of stones? Or is my flesh bronze?(nkjv) ======= Job 6:13 ============ Job 6:13 "Is it that my help is not within me, And that deliverance is driven from me?(nasb) Job 6:13 Ecce non est auxilium mihi in me, et necessarii quoque mei recesserunt a me.(vulgate) Job 6:13 ¿No me ayudo a mí mismo, y el poder me falta del todo?(E) Job 6:13 Ne suis-je pas sans ressource, Et le salut n'est-il pas loin de moi?(F) Job 6:13 Habe ich doch nirgend Hilfe, und mein Vermögen ist dahin.(D) Job 6:13 ἦ οὐκ ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ ἐπεποίθειν βοήθεια δὲ ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἄπεστιν(lxx) Job 6:13 Is my help not within me? And is success driven from me?(nkjv) ======= Job 6:14 ============ Job 6:14 "For the despairing man there should be kindness from his friend; So that he does not forsake the fear of the Almighty.(nasb) Job 6:14 Qui tollit ab amico suo misericordiam, timorem Domini derelinquit.(vulgate) Job 6:14 El atribulado [ha de ser] consolado por su compañero; mas se ha abandonado el temor del Omnipotente.(E) Job 6:14 Celui qui souffre a droit à la compassion de son ami, Même quand il abandonnerait la crainte du Tout-Puissant.(F) Job 6:14 Wer Barmherzigkeit seinem Nächsten verweigert, der verläßt des Allmächtigen Furcht.(D) Job 6:14 ἀπείπατό με ἔλεος ἐπισκοπὴ δὲ κυρίου ὑπερεῖδέν με(lxx) Job 6:14 "To him who is afflicted, kindness should be shown by his friend, Even though he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.(nkjv) ======= Job 6:15 ============ Job 6:15 "My brothers have acted deceitfully like a wadi, Like the torrents of wadis which vanish,(nasb) Job 6:15 Fratres mei præterierunt me, sicut torrens qui raptim transit in convallibus.(vulgate) Job 6:15 Mis hermanos han sido traicioneros cual arroyo; pasan como corrientes impetuosas,(E) Job 6:15 Mes frères sont perfides comme un torrent, Comme le lit des torrents qui disparaissent.(F) Job 6:15 Meine Brüder trügen wie ein Bach, wie Wasserströme, die vergehen,(D) Job 6:15 οὐ προσεῖδόν με οἱ ἐγγύτατοί μου ὥσπερ χειμάρρους ἐκλείπων ἢ ὥσπερ κῦμα παρῆλθόν με(lxx) Job 6:15 My brothers have dealt deceitfully like a brook, Like the streams of the brooks that pass away,(nkjv) ======= Job 6:16 ============ Job 6:16 Which are turbid because of ice And into which the snow melts.(nasb) Job 6:16 Qui timent pruinam, irruet super eos nix.(vulgate) Job 6:16 que están obscuras por la helada, [y] encubiertas con nieve;(E) Job 6:16 Les glaçons en troublent le cours, La neige s'y précipite;(F) Job 6:16 die trübe sind vom Eis, in die der Schnee sich birgt:(D) Job 6:16 οἵτινές με διευλαβοῦντο νῦν ἐπιπεπτώκασίν μοι ὥσπερ χιὼν ἢ κρύσταλλος πεπηγώς(lxx) Job 6:16 Which are dark because of the ice, And into which the snow vanishes.(nkjv) ======= Job 6:17 ============ Job 6:17 "When they become waterless, they are silent, When it is hot, they vanish from their place.(nasb) Job 6:17 Tempore quo fuerint dissipati, peribunt; et ut incaluerit, solventur de loco suo.(vulgate) Job 6:17 que al tiempo del calor son deshechas, y al calentarse, desaparecen de su lugar;(E) Job 6:17 Viennent les chaleurs, et ils tarissent, Les feux du soleil, et leur lit demeure à sec.(F) Job 6:17 zur Zeit, wenn sie die Hitze drückt, versiegen sie; wenn es heiß wird, vergehen sie von ihrer Stätte.(D) Job 6:17 καθὼς τακεῖσα θέρμης γενομένης οὐκ ἐπεγνώσθη ὅπερ ἦν(lxx) Job 6:17 When it is warm, they cease to flow; When it is hot, they vanish from their place.(nkjv) ======= Job 6:18 ============ Job 6:18 "The paths of their course wind along, They go up into nothing and perish.(nasb) Job 6:18 Involutæ sunt semitæ gressuum eorum; ambulabunt in vacuum, et peribunt.(vulgate) Job 6:18 se apartan de la senda de su rumbo, van menguando y se pierden.(E) Job 6:18 Les caravanes se détournent de leur chemin, S'enfoncent dans le désert, et périssent.(F) Job 6:18 Die Reisezüge gehen ab vom Wege, sie treten aufs Ungebahnte und kommen um;(D) Job 6:18 οὕτως κἀγὼ κατελείφθην ὑπὸ πάντων ἀπωλόμην δὲ καὶ ἔξοικος ἐγενόμην(lxx) Job 6:18 The paths of their way turn aside, They go nowhere and perish.(nkjv) ======= Job 6:19 ============ Job 6:19 "The caravans of Tema looked, The travelers of Sheba hoped for them.(nasb) Job 6:19 Considerate semitas Thema, itinera Saba, et expectate paulisper.(vulgate) Job 6:19 Miraron los caminantes de Tema, los caminantes de Seba esperaron en ellas;(E) Job 6:19 Les caravanes de Théma fixent le regard, Les voyageurs de Séba sont pleins d'espoir;(F) Job 6:19 die Reisezüge von Thema blicken ihnen nach, die Karawanen von Saba hofften auf sie:(D) Job 6:19 ἴδετε ὁδοὺς Θαιμανων ἀτραποὺς Σαβων οἱ διορῶντες(lxx) Job 6:19 The caravans of Tema look, The travelers of Sheba hope for them.(nkjv) ======= Job 6:20 ============ Job 6:20 "They were disappointed for they had trusted, They came there and were confounded.(nasb) Job 6:20 Confusi sunt, quia speravi: venerunt quoque usque ad me, et pudore cooperti sunt.(vulgate) Job 6:20 Pero fueron avergonzados por su esperanza; porque vinieron hasta ellas, y se hallaron confusos.(E) Job 6:20 Ils sont honteux d'avoir eu confiance, Ils restent confondus quand ils arrivent.(F) Job 6:20 aber sie wurden zu Schanden über ihrer Hoffnung und mußten sich schämen, als sie dahin kamen.(D) Job 6:20 καὶ αἰσχύνην ὀφειλήσουσιν οἱ ἐπὶ πόλεσιν καὶ χρήμασιν πεποιθότες(lxx) Job 6:20 They are disappointed because they were confident; They come there and are confused.(nkjv) ======= Job 6:21 ============ Job 6:21 "Indeed, you have now become such, You see a terror and are afraid.(nasb) Job 6:21 Nunc venistis; et modo videntes plagam meam, timetis.(vulgate) Job 6:21 Ahora ciertamente como ellas sois vosotros; pues habéis visto [mi] infortunio, y teméis.(E) Job 6:21 Ainsi, vous êtes comme si vous n'existiez pas; Vous voyez mon angoisse, et vous en avez horreur!(F) Job 6:21 So seid ihr jetzt ein Nichts geworden, und weil ihr Jammer sehet, fürchtet ihr euch.(D) Job 6:21 ἀτὰρ δὲ καὶ ὑμεῖς ἐπέβητέ μοι ἀνελεημόνως ὥστε ἰδόντες τὸ ἐμὸν τραῦμα φοβήθητε(lxx) Job 6:21 For now you are nothing, You see terror and are afraid.(nkjv) ======= Job 6:22 ============ Job 6:22 "Have I said, 'Give me something,' Or, 'Offer a bribe for me from your wealth,'(nasb) Job 6:22 Numquid dixi: Afferte mihi, et de substantia vestra donate mihi?(vulgate) Job 6:22 ¿Acaso yo os he dicho: Traedme, y pagad por mí de vuestra hacienda;(E) Job 6:22 Vous ai-je dit: Donnez-moi quelque chose, Faites en ma faveur des présents avec vos biens,(F) Job 6:22 Habe ich auch gesagt: Bringet her von eurem Vermögen und schenkt mir(D) Job 6:22 τί γάρ μή τι ὑμᾶς ᾔτησα ἢ τῆς παρ᾽ ὑμῶν ἰσχύος ἐπιδέομαι(lxx) Job 6:22 Did I ever say, 'Bring something to me'? Or, 'Offer a bribe for me from your wealth'?(nkjv) ======= Job 6:23 ============ Job 6:23 Or, 'Deliver me from the hand of the adversary, 'Or, 'Redeem me from the hand of the tyrants'?(nasb) Job 6:23 vel: Liberate me de manu hostis, et de manu robustorum eruite me?(vulgate) Job 6:23 libradme de la mano del opresor, y redimidme del poder de los violentos?(E) Job 6:23 Délivrez-moi de la main de l'ennemi, Rachetez-moi de la main des méchants?(F) Job 6:23 und errettet mich aus der Hand des Feindes und erlöst mich von der Hand der Gewalttätigen?(D) Job 6:23 ὥστε σῶσαί με ἐξ ἐχθρῶν ἢ ἐκ χειρὸς δυναστῶν ῥύσασθαί με(lxx) Job 6:23 Or, 'Deliver me from the enemy's hand'? Or, 'Redeem me from the hand of oppressors'?(nkjv) ======= Job 6:24 ============ Job 6:24 "Teach me, and I will be silent; And show me how I have erred.(nasb) Job 6:24 Docete me, et ego tacebo: et si quid forte ignoravi, instruite me.(vulgate) Job 6:24 Enseñadme, y yo callaré; y hacedme entender en qué he errado.(E) Job 6:24 Instruisez-moi, et je me tairai; Faites-moi comprendre en quoi j'ai péché.(F) Job 6:24 Lehret mich, so will ich schweigen; und was ich nicht weiß, darin unterweist mich.(D) Job 6:24 διδάξατέ με ἐγὼ δὲ κωφεύσω εἴ τι πεπλάνημαι φράσατέ μοι(lxx) Job 6:24 "Teach me, and I will hold my tongue; Cause me to understand wherein I have erred.(nkjv) ======= Job 6:25 ============ Job 6:25 "How painful are honest words! But what does your argument prove?(nasb) Job 6:25 Quare detraxistis sermonibus veritatis, cum e vobis nullus sit qui possit arguere me?(vulgate) Job 6:25 ¡Cuán fuertes son las palabras de rectitud! Pero, ¿qué reprende vuestra censura?(E) Job 6:25 Que les paroles vraies sont persuasives! Mais que prouvent vos remontrances?(F) Job 6:25 Warum tadelt ihr rechte Rede? Wer ist unter euch, der sie strafen könnte?(D) Job 6:25 ἀλλ᾽ ὡς ἔοικεν φαῦλα ἀληθινοῦ ῥήματα οὐ γὰρ παρ᾽ ὑμῶν ἰσχὺν αἰτοῦμαι(lxx) Job 6:25 How forceful are right words! But what does your arguing prove?(nkjv) ======= Job 6:26 ============ Job 6:26 "Do you intend to reprove my words, When the words of one in despair belong to the wind?(nasb) Job 6:26 Ad increpandum tantum eloquia concinnatis, et in ventum verba profertis.(vulgate) Job 6:26 ¿Pensáis censurar las palabras, y los discursos de un desesperado, [que son] como el viento?(E) Job 6:26 Voulez-vous donc blâmer ce que j'ai dit, Et ne voir que du vent dans les discours d'un désespéré?(F) Job 6:26 Gedenket ihr, Worte zu strafen? Aber eines Verzweifelten Rede ist für den Wind.(D) Job 6:26 οὐδὲ ὁ ἔλεγχος ὑμῶν ῥήμασίν με παύσει οὐδὲ γὰρ ὑμῶν φθέγμα ῥήματος ἀνέξομαι(lxx) Job 6:26 Do you intend to rebuke my words, And the speeches of a desperate one, which are as wind?(nkjv) ======= Job 6:27 ============ Job 6:27 "You would even cast lots for the orphans And barter over your friend.(nasb) Job 6:27 Super pupillum irruitis, et subvertere nitimini amicum vestrum.(vulgate) Job 6:27 También os arrojáis sobre el huérfano, y caváis [un hoyo] para vuestro amigo.(E) Job 6:27 Vous accablez un orphelin, Vous persécutez votre ami.(F) Job 6:27 Ihr fielet wohl über einen armen Waisen her und grübet eurem Nachbarn Gruben.(D) Job 6:27 πλὴν ὅτι ἐπ᾽ ὀρφανῷ ἐπιπίπτετε ἐνάλλεσθε δὲ ἐπὶ φίλῳ ὑμῶν(lxx) Job 6:27 Yes, you overwhelm the fatherless, And you undermine your friend.(nkjv) ======= Job 6:28 ============ Job 6:28 "Now please look at me, And see if I lie to your face.(nasb) Job 6:28 Verumtamen quod cœpistis explete: præbete aurem, et videte an mentiar.(vulgate) Job 6:28 Ahora, pues, si queréis, miradme, y ved si miento delante de vosotros.(E) Job 6:28 Regardez-moi, je vous prie!
