Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 3:1 ============ Jer 3:1 God says, "If a husband divorces his wife And she goes from him And belongs to another man, Will he still return to her? Will not that land be completely polluted? But you are a harlot with many lovers; Yet you turn to Me," declares the Lord.(nasb) Jer 3:1 [Vulgo dicitur: Si dimiserit vir uxorem suam, et recedens ab eo duxerit virum alterum, numquid revertetur ad eam ultra? numquid non polluta et contaminata erit mulier illa? Tu autem fornicata es cum amatoribus multis: tamen revertere ad me, dicit Dominus, et ego suscipiam te.(vulgate) Jeremías 3:1 Dicen: Si alguno dejare su esposa, y yéndose ésta de él se juntare a otro hombre, ¿volverá a ella más? ¿No será tal tierra del todo amancillada? Tú, pues, te has prostituido con muchos amantes; mas vuélvete a mí, dice Jehová.(E) Jérémie 3:1 Il dit: Lorsqu'un homme répudie sa femme, Qu'elle le quitte et devient la femme d'un autre, Cet homme retourne-t-il encore vers elle? Le pays même ne serait-il pas souillé? Et toi, tu t'es prostituée à de nombreux amants, Et tu reviendrais à moi! dit l'Eternel.(F) Jer 3:1 Und er spricht: Wenn sich ein Mann von seinem Weibe scheidet, und sie zieht von ihm und nimmt einen andern Mann, darf er sie auch wieder annehmen? Ist's nicht also, daß das Land verunreinigt würde? Du aber hast mit vielen Buhlen gehurt; doch komm wieder zu mir; spricht der HERR.(D) Jer 3:1 ἐὰν ἐξαποστείλῃ ἀνὴρ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀπέλθῃ ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ γένηται ἀνδρὶ ἑτέρῳ μὴ ἀνακάμπτουσα ἀνακάμψει πρὸς αὐτὸν ἔτι οὐ μιαινομένη μιανθήσεται ἡ γυνὴ ἐκείνη καὶ σὺ ἐξεπόρνευσας ἐν ποιμέσιν πολλοῖς καὶ ἀνέκαμπτες πρός με λέγει κύριος(lxx) Jer 3:1 "They say, 'If a man divorces his wife, And she goes from him And becomes another man's, May he return to her again?' Would not that land be greatly polluted? But you have played the harlot with many lovers; Yet return to Me," says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 3:2 ============ Jer 3:2 "Lift up your eyes to the bare heights and see; Where have you not been violated? By the roads you have sat for them Like an Arab in the desert, And you have polluted a land With your harlotry and with your wickedness.(nasb) Jer 3:2 Leva oculos tuos in directum, et vide ubi non prostrata sis. In viis sedebas, exspectans eos quasi latro in solitudine: et polluisti terram in fornicationibus tuis, et in malitiis tuis.(vulgate) Jeremías 3:2 Alza tus ojos a los lugares altos, y ve en qué lugar no se han acostado contigo: para ellos te sentabas en los caminos, como árabe en el desierto; y has contaminado la tierra con tu prostitución y tu maldad.(E) Jérémie 3:2 Lève tes yeux vers les hauteurs, et regarde! Où ne t'es-tu pas prostituée! Tu te tenais sur les chemins, comme l'Arabe dans le désert, Et tu as souillé le pays par tes prostitutions et par ta méchanceté.(F) Jer 3:2 Hebe deine Augen auf zu den Höhen und siehe, wie du allenthalben Hurerei treibst. An den Straßen sitzest du und lauerst auf sie wie ein Araber in der Wüste und verunreinigst das Land mit deiner Hurerei und Bosheit.(D) Jer 3:2 ἆρον εἰς εὐθεῖαν τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς σου καὶ ἰδέ ποῦ οὐχὶ ἐξεφύρθης ἐπὶ ταῖς ὁδοῖς ἐκάθισας αὐτοῖς ὡσεὶ κορώνη ἐρημουμένη καὶ ἐμίανας τὴν γῆν ἐν ταῖς πορνείαις σου καὶ ἐν ταῖς κακίαις σου(lxx) Jer 3:2 "Lift up your eyes to the desolate heights and see: Where have you not lain with men? By the road you have sat for them Like an Arabian in the wilderness; And you have polluted the land With your harlotries and your wickedness.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 3:3 ============ Jer 3:3 "Therefore the showers have been withheld, And there has been no spring rain. Yet you had a harlot's forehead; You refused to be ashamed.(nasb) Jer 3:3 Quam ob rem prohibitæ sunt stillæ pluviarum, et serotinus imber non fuit. Frons mulieris meretricis facta est tibi; noluisti erubescere.(vulgate) Jeremías 3:3 Por esta causa las aguas han sido detenidas, y faltó la lluvia tardía; y has tenido frente de ramera, y ni quisiste tener vergüenza.(E) Jérémie 3:3 Aussi les pluies ont-elles été retenues, Et la pluie du printemps a-t-elle manqué; Mais tu as eu le front d'une femme prostituée, Tu n'as pas voulu avoir honte.(F) Jer 3:3 Darum muß auch der Frühregen ausbleiben und kein Spätregen kommen. Du hast eine Hurenstirn, du willst dich nicht mehr schämen(D) Jer 3:3 καὶ ἔσχες ποιμένας πολλοὺς εἰς πρόσκομμα σεαυτῇ ὄψις πόρνης ἐγένετό σοι ἀπηναισχύντησας πρὸς πάντας(lxx) Jer 3:3 Therefore the showers have been withheld, And there has been no latter rain. You have had a harlot's forehead; You refuse to be ashamed.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 3:4 ============ Jer 3:4 "Have you not just now called to Me, 'My Father, You are the friend of my youth?(nasb) Jer 3:4 Ergo saltem amodo voca me: Pater meus, dux virginitatis meæ tu es:(vulgate) Jeremías 3:4 A lo menos desde ahora, ¿no clamarás a mí: Padre mío, guiador de mi juventud?(E) Jérémie 3:4 Maintenant, n'est-ce pas? tu cries vers moi: Mon père! Tu as été l'ami de ma jeunesse!(F) Jer 3:4 und schreist gleichwohl zu mir: "Lieber Vater, du Meister meiner Jugend!(D) Jer 3:4 οὐχ ὡς οἶκόν με ἐκάλεσας καὶ πατέρα καὶ ἀρχηγὸν τῆς παρθενίας σου(lxx) Jer 3:4 Will you not from this time cry to Me, 'My father, You are the guide of my youth?(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 3:5 ============ Jer 3:5 'Will He be angry forever? Will He be indignant to the end?' Behold, you have spoken And have done evil things, And you have had your way."(nasb) Jer 3:5 numquid irasceris in perpetuum, aut perseverabis in finem? ecce locuta es, et fecisti mala, et potuisti.]~(vulgate) Jeremías 3:5 ¿Guardará [su enojo] para siempre? ¿Eternamente lo guardará? He aquí que has hablado y hecho cuantas maldades pudiste.(E) Jérémie 3:5 Gardera-t-il à toujours sa colère? La conservera-t-il à jamais? Et voici, tu as dit, tu as fait des choses criminelles, tu les as consommées.(F) Jer 3:5 willst du denn ewiglich zürnen und nicht vom Grimm lassen?" Siehe, so redest du, und tust Böses und lässest dir nicht steuern.(D) Jer 3:5 μὴ διαμενεῖ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἢ διαφυλαχθήσεται εἰς νεῖκος ἰδοὺ ἐλάλησας καὶ ἐποίησας τὰ πονηρὰ ταῦτα καὶ ἠδυνάσθης(lxx) Jer 3:5 Will He remain angry forever? Will He keep it to the end?' Behold, you have spoken and done evil things, As you were able."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 3:6 ============ Jer 3:6 Then the Lord said to me in the days of Josiah the king, "Have you seen what faithless Israel did? She went up on every high hill and under every green tree, and she was a harlot there.(nasb) Jer 3:6 Et dixit Dominus ad me in diebus Josiæ regis: [Numquid vidisti quæ fecerit aversatrix Israël? Abiit sibimet super omnem montem excelsum, et sub omni ligno frondoso, et fornicata est ibi.(vulgate) Jeremías 3:6 Y me dijo Jehová en días del rey Josías: ¿Has visto lo que ha hecho la infiel Israel? Ella se va sobre todo monte alto y debajo de todo árbol frondoso, y allí se prostituye.(E) Jérémie 3:6 L'Eternel me dit, au temps du roi Josias: As-tu vu ce qu'a fait l'infidèle Israël? Elle est allée sur toute montagne élevée et sous tout arbre vert, et là elle s'est prostituée.(F) Jer 3:6 Und der HERR sprach zu mir zu der Zeit des Königs Josia: Hast du auch gesehen, was Israel, die Abtrünnige tat? Sie ging hin auf alle hohen Berge und unter alle grünen Bäume und trieb daselbst Hurerei.(D) Jer 3:6 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις Ιωσια τοῦ βασιλέως εἶδες ἃ ἐποίησέν μοι ἡ κατοικία τοῦ Ισραηλ ἐπορεύθησαν ἐπὶ πᾶν ὄρος ὑψηλὸν καὶ ὑποκάτω παντὸς ξύλου ἀλσώδους καὶ ἐπόρνευσαν ἐκεῖ(lxx) Jer 3:6 The Lord said also to me in the days of Josiah the king: "Have you seen what backsliding Israel has done? She has gone up on every high mountain and under every green tree, and there played the harlot.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 3:7 ============ Jer 3:7 I thought, 'After she has done all these things she will return to Me'; but she did not return, and her treacherous sister Judah saw it.(nasb) Jer 3:7 Et dixi, cum fecisset hæc omnia: Ad me revertere: et non est reversa. Et vidit prævaricatrix soror ejus Juda(vulgate) Jeremías 3:7 Y [le] dije después que hizo todo esto: Vuélvete a mí; pero no se volvió. Y lo vio su hermana la rebelde Judá.(E) Jérémie 3:7 Je disais: Après avoir fait toutes ces choses, elle reviendra à moi. Mais elle n'est pas revenue. Et sa soeur, la perfide Juda, en a été témoin.(F) Jer 3:7 Und ich sprach, da sie solches alles getan hatte: Bekehre dich zu mir. Aber sie bekehrte sich nicht. Und obwohl ihre Schwester Juda, die Verstockte, gesehen hat,(D) Jer 3:7 καὶ εἶπα μετὰ τὸ πορνεῦσαι αὐτὴν ταῦτα πάντα πρός με ἀνάστρεψον καὶ οὐκ ἀνέστρεψεν καὶ εἶδεν τὴν ἀσυνθεσίαν αὐτῆς ἡ ἀσύνθετος Ιουδα(lxx) Jer 3:7 And I said, after she had done all these things, 'Return to Me.' But she did not return. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 3:8 ============ Jer 3:8 And I saw that for all the adulteries of faithless Israel, I had sent her away and given her a writ of divorce, yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear; but she went and was a harlot also.(nasb) Jer 3:8 quia pro eo quod mœchata esset aversatrix Israël, dimisissem eam, et dedissem ei libellum repudii: et non timuit prævaricatrix Juda soror ejus, sed abiit, et fornicata est etiam ipsa:(vulgate) Jeremías 3:8 Y yo vi cuando por causa de todo esto, cometió adulterio la infiel Israel, yo la había despedido dándole carta de repudio; y aún así no tuvo temor su hermana, la rebelde Judá, sino que también ella fue y se prostituyó.(E) Jérémie 3:8 Quoique j'eusse répudié l'infidèle Israël à cause de tous ses adultères, et que je lui eusse donné sa lettre de divorce, j'ai vu que la perfide Juda, sa soeur, n'a point eu de crainte, et qu'elle est allée se prostituer pareillement.(F) Jer 3:8 wie ich der Abtrünnigen Israel Ehebruch gestraft und sie verlassen und ihr einen Scheidebrief gegeben habe: dennoch fürchtet sich ihre Schwester, die verstockte Juda, nicht, sondern geht hin und treibt auch Hurerei.(D) Jer 3:8 καὶ εἶδον διότι περὶ πάντων ὧν κατελήμφθη ἐν οἷς ἐμοιχᾶτο ἡ κατοικία τοῦ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐξαπέστειλα αὐτὴν καὶ ἔδωκα αὐτῇ βιβλίον ἀποστασίου εἰς τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῆς καὶ οὐκ ἐφοβήθη ἡ ἀσύνθετος Ιουδα καὶ ἐπορεύθη καὶ ἐπόρνευσεν καὶ αὐτή(lxx) Jer 3:8 Then I saw that for all the causes for which backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a certificate of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but went and played the harlot also.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 3:9 ============ Jer 3:9 Because of the lightness of her harlotry, she polluted the land and committed adultery with stones and trees.(nasb) Jer 3:9 et facilitate fornicationis suæ contaminavit terram, et mœchata est cum lapide et ligno:(vulgate) Jeremías 3:9 Y sucedió que por la liviandad con que se prostituyó, la tierra fue contaminada y adulteró con la piedra y con el leño.(E) Jérémie 3:9 Par sa criante impudicité Israël a souillé le pays, elle a commis un adultère avec la pierre et le bois.(F) Jer 3:9 Und von dem Geschrei ihrer Hurerei ist das Land verunreinigt; denn sie treibt Ehebruch mit Stein und Holz.(D) Jer 3:9 καὶ ἐγένετο εἰς οὐθὲν ἡ πορνεία αὐτῆς καὶ ἐμοίχευσεν τὸ ξύλον καὶ τὸν λίθον(lxx) Jer 3:9 So it came to pass, through her casual harlotry, that she defiled the land and committed adultery with stones and trees.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 3:10 ============ Jer 3:10 Yet in spite of all this her treacherous sister Judah did not return to Me with all her heart, but rather in deception," declares the Lord.(nasb) Jer 3:10 et in omnibus his non est reversa ad me prævaricatrix soror ejus Juda in toto corde suo, sed in mendacio, ait Dominus.](vulgate) Jeremías 3:10 Y con todo esto, su hermana la rebelde Judá no se volvió a mí de todo su corazón, sino fingidamente, dice Jehová.(E) Jérémie 3:10 Malgré tout cela, la perfide Juda, sa soeur, n'est pas revenue à moi de tout son coeur; c'est avec fausseté qu'elle l'a fait, dit l'Eternel.(F) Jer 3:10 Und in diesem allem bekehrt sich die verstockte Juda, ihre Schwester, nicht zu mir von ganzem Herzen, sondern heuchelt also, spricht der HERR.(D) Jer 3:10 καὶ ἐν πᾶσιν τούτοις οὐκ ἐπεστράφη πρός με ἡ ἀσύνθετος Ιουδα ἐξ ὅλης τῆς καρδίας αὐτῆς ἀλλ᾽ ἐπὶ ψεύδει(lxx) Jer 3:10 And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah has not turned to Me with her whole heart, but in pretense," says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 3:11 ============ Jer 3:11 And the Lord said to me, "Faithless Israel has proved herself more righteous than treacherous Judah.(nasb) Jer 3:11 Et dixit Dominus ad me: Justificavit animam suam aversatrix Israël, comparatione prævaricatricis Judæ.(vulgate) Jeremías 3:11 Y me dijo Jehová: Se ha justificado más la rebelde Israel en comparación con la desleal Judá.(E) Jérémie 3:11 L'Eternel me dit: L'infidèle Israël paraît innocente En comparaison de la perfide Juda.(F) Jer 3:11 Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Die abtrünnige Israel ist fromm gegen die verstockte Juda.(D) Jer 3:11 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με ἐδικαίωσεν τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ Ισραηλ ἀπὸ τῆς ἀσυνθέτου Ιουδα(lxx) Jer 3:11 Then the Lord said to me, "Backsliding Israel has shown herself more righteous than treacherous Judah.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 3:12 ============ Jer 3:12 Go and proclaim these words toward the north and say, 'Return, faithless Israel, 'declares the Lord; 'I will not look upon you in anger. For I am gracious, 'declares the Lord; 'I will not be angry forever.(nasb) Jer 3:12 Vade, et clama sermones istos contra aquilonem, et dices: [Revertere, aversatrix Israël, ait Dominus, et non avertam faciem meam a vobis, quia sanctus ego sum, dicit Dominus, et non irascar in perpetuum.(vulgate) Jeremías 3:12 Ve, y proclama estas palabras hacia el norte, y di: Vuélvete, oh rebelde Israel, dice Jehová, [y] no haré caer mi ira sobre vosotros; porque misericordioso [soy] yo, dice Jehová, [y] no guardaré para siempre [el enojo].(E) Jérémie 3:12 Va, crie ces paroles vers le septentrion, et dis: Reviens, infidèle Israël! dit l'Eternel. Je ne jetterai pas sur vous un regard sévère; Car je suis miséricordieux, dit l'Eternel, Je ne garde pas ma colère à toujours.(F) Jer 3:12 Gehe hin und rufe diese Worte gegen die Mitternacht und sprich: Kehre wieder, du abtrünnige Israel, spricht der HERR, so will ich mein Antlitz nicht gegen euch verstellen. Denn ich bin barmherzig, spricht der HERR, und ich will nicht ewiglich zürnen.(D) Jer 3:12 πορεύου καὶ ἀνάγνωθι τοὺς λόγους τούτους πρὸς βορρᾶν καὶ ἐρεῖς ἐπιστράφητι πρός με ἡ κατοικία τοῦ Ισραηλ λέγει κύριος καὶ οὐ στηριῶ τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς ὅτι ἐλεήμων ἐγώ εἰμι λέγει κύριος καὶ οὐ μηνιῶ ὑμῖν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα(lxx) Jer 3:12 Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say: 'Return, backsliding Israel,' says the Lord; 'I will not cause My anger to fall on you. For I am merciful,' says the Lord; ' I will not remain angry forever.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 3:13 ============ Jer 3:13 'Only acknowledge your iniquity, That you have transgressed against the Lord your God And have scattered your favors to the strangers under every green tree, And you have not obeyed My voice, 'declares the Lord.(nasb) Jer 3:13 Verumtamen scito iniquitatem tuam, quia in Dominum Deum tuum prævaricata es, et dispersisti vias tuas alienis sub omni ligno frondoso, et vocem meam non audisti, ait Dominus.(vulgate) Jeremías 3:13 Sólo reconoce tu maldad, porque contra Jehová tu Dios has prevaricado, y tus caminos has derramado a los extraños debajo de todo árbol frondoso, y no oíste mi voz, dice Jehová.(E) Jérémie 3:13 Reconnais seulement ton iniquité, Reconnais que tu as été infidèle à l'Eternel, ton Dieu, Que tu as dirigé çà et là tes pas vers les dieux étrangers, Sous tout arbre vert, Et que tu n'as pas écouté ma voix, dit l'Eternel.(F) Jer 3:13 Allein erkenne deine Missetat, daß du wider den HERRN, deinen Gott, gesündigt hast und bist hin und wieder gelaufen zu den fremden Göttern unter allen grünen Bäumen und habt meiner Stimme nicht gehorcht, spricht der HERR.(D) Jer 3:13 πλὴν γνῶθι τὴν ἀδικίαν σου ὅτι εἰς κύριον τὸν θεόν σου ἠσέβησας καὶ διέχεας τὰς ὁδούς σου εἰς ἀλλοτρίους ὑποκάτω παντὸς ξύλου ἀλσώδους τῆς δὲ φωνῆς μου οὐχ ὑπήκουσας λέγει κύριος(lxx) Jer 3:13 Only acknowledge your iniquity, That you have transgressed against the Lord your God, And have scattered your charms To alien deities under every green tree, And you have not obeyed My voice,' says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 3:14 ============ Jer 3:14 'Return, O faithless sons, 'declares the Lord; 'For I am a master to you, And I will take you one from a city and two from a family, And I will bring you to Zion.'(nasb) Jer 3:14 Convertimini, filii revertentes, dicit Dominus, quia ego vir vester: et assumam vos unum de civitate, et duos de cognatione, et introducam vos in Sion.(vulgate) Jeremías 3:14 Convertíos, hijos rebeldes, dice Jehová, porque yo soy vuestro esposo: y os tomaré uno de una ciudad, y dos de una familia, y os introduciré en Sión;(E) Jérémie 3:14 Revenez, enfants rebelles, dit l'Eternel; Car je suis votre maître. Je vous prendrai, un d'une ville, deux d'une famille, Et je vous ramènerai dans Sion.(F) Jer 3:14 Bekehret euch nun ihr abtrünnigen Kinder, spricht der HERR; denn ich will euch mir vertrauen und will euch holen, einen aus einer Stadt und zwei aus einem Geschlecht, und will euch bringen gen Zion(D) Jer 3:14 ἐπιστράφητε υἱοὶ ἀφεστηκότες λέγει κύριος διότι ἐγὼ κατακυριεύσω ὑμῶν καὶ λήμψομαι ὑμᾶς ἕνα ἐκ πόλεως καὶ δύο ἐκ πατριᾶς καὶ εἰσάξω ὑμᾶς εἰς Σιων(lxx) Jer 3:14 "Return, O backsliding children," says the Lord; "for I am married to you.
