Now blow a trumpet in Tekoa And raise a signal over Beth-haccerem; For evil looks down from the north, And a great destruction.(nasb) Jer 6:1 [Confortamini, filii Benjamin, in medio Jerusalem: et in Thecua clangite buccina, et super Bethacarem levate vexillum, quia malum visum est ab aquilone, et contritio magna.(vulgate) Jeremías 6:1 Huid, hijos de Benjamín, de en medio de Jerusalén, y tocad bocina en Tecoa, y alzad por señal humo sobre Bet-haquerem; porque del norte se ve venir el mal, y destrucción grande.(E) Jérémie 6:1 Fuyez, enfants de Benjamin, du milieu de Jérusalem, Sonnez de la trompette à Tekoa, Elevez un signal à Beth-Hakkérem! Car on voit venir du septentrion le malheur Et un grand désastre.(F) Jer 6:1 Fliehet, ihr Kinder Benjamin, aus Jerusalem und blaset die Drommete auf der Warte Thekoa und werft auf ein Panier über der Warte Beth-Cherem! denn es geht daher ein Unglück von Mitternacht und ein großer Jammer.(D) Jer 6:1 ἐνισχύσατε υἱοὶ Βενιαμιν ἐκ μέσου τῆς Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἐν Θεκουε σημάνατε σάλπιγγι καὶ ὑπὲρ Βαιθαχαρμα ἄρατε σημεῖον ὅτι κακὰ ἐκκέκυφεν ἀπὸ βορρᾶ καὶ συντριβὴ μεγάλη γίνεται(lxx) Jer 6:1 "O you children of Benjamin, Gather yourselves to flee from the midst of Jerusalem! Blow the trumpet in Tekoa, And set up a signal-fire in Beth Haccerem; For disaster appears out of the north, And great destruction.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:2 ============ Jer 6:2 "The comely and dainty one, the daughter of Zion, I will cut off.(nasb) Jer 6:2 Speciosæ et delicatæ assimilavi filiam Sion.(vulgate) Jeremías 6:2 A [mujer] hermosa y delicada comparé a la hija de Sión.(E) Jérémie 6:2 La belle et la délicate, Je la détruis, la fille de Sion!(F) Jer 6:2 Die Tochter Zion ist wie eine schöne und lustige Aue.(D) Jer 6:2 καὶ ἀφαιρεθήσεται τὸ ὕψος σου θύγατερ Σιων(lxx) Jer 6:2 I have likened the daughter of Zion To a lovely and delicate woman.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:3 ============ Jer 6:3 "Shepherds and their flocks will come to her, They will pitch their tents around her, They will pasture each in his place.(nasb) Jer 6:3 Ad eam venient pastores et greges eorum; fixerunt in ea tentoria in circuitu: pascet unusquisque eos qui sub manu sua sunt.(vulgate) Jeremías 6:3 A ella vendrán pastores y sus rebaños; junto a ella en derredor pondrán [sus] tiendas; cada uno apacentará en su lugar.(E) Jérémie 6:3 Vers elle marchent des bergers avec leurs troupeaux; Ils dressent des tentes autour d'elle, Ils broutent chacun sa part. -(F) Jer 6:3 Aber es werden die Hirten über sie kommen mit ihren Herden, die werden Gezelte rings um sie her aufschlagen und weiden ein jeglicher an seinem Ort und sprechen:(D) Jer 6:3 εἰς αὐτὴν ἥξουσιν ποιμένες καὶ τὰ ποίμνια αὐτῶν καὶ πήξουσιν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν σκηνὰς κύκλῳ καὶ ποιμανοῦσιν ἕκαστος τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ(lxx) Jer 6:3 The shepherds with their flocks shall come to her. They shall pitch their tents against her all around. Each one shall pasture in his own place."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:4 ============ Jer 6:4 "Prepare war against her; Arise, and let us attack at noon. Woe to us, for the day declines, For the shadows of the evening lengthen!(nasb) Jer 6:4 Sanctificate super eam bellum: consurgite, et ascendamus in meridie: væ nobis, quia declinavit dies; quia longiores factæ sunt umbræ vesperi!(vulgate) Jeremías 6:4 Declarad guerra contra ella: levantaos y asaltémosla al mediodía. ¡Ay de nosotros! que va cayendo ya el día, que las sombras de la tarde se han extendido.(E) Jérémie 6:4 Préparez-vous à l'attaquer! Allons! montons en plein midi!... Malheureusement pour nous, le jour baisse, Les ombres du soir s'allongent.(F) Jer 6:4 "Rüstet euch zum Krieg wider sie! Wohlauf, laßt uns hinaufziehen, weil es noch hoch Tag ist! Ei, es will Abend werden, und die Schatten werden groß!(D) Jer 6:4 παρασκευάσασθε ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν εἰς πόλεμον ἀνάστητε καὶ ἀναβῶμεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν μεσημβρίας οὐαὶ ἡμῖν ὅτι κέκλικεν ἡ ἡμέρα ὅτι ἐκλείπουσιν αἱ σκιαὶ τῆς ἑσπέρας(lxx) Jer 6:4 "Prepare war against her; Arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe to us, for the day goes away, For the shadows of the evening are lengthening.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:5 ============ Jer 6:5 "Arise, and let us attack by night And destroy her palaces!"(nasb) Jer 6:5 Surgite, et ascendamus in nocte, et dissipemus domus ejus.(vulgate) Jeremías 6:5 Levantaos, y subamos de noche, y destruyamos sus palacios.(E) Jérémie 6:5 Allons! montons de nuit! Détruisons ses palais! -(F) Jer 6:5 Wohlan, so laßt uns auf sein, und sollten wir bei Nacht hinaufziehen und ihre Paläste verderben!"(D) Jer 6:5 ἀνάστητε καὶ ἀναβῶμεν ἐν τῇ νυκτὶ καὶ διαφθείρωμεν τὰ θεμέλια αὐτῆς(lxx) Jer 6:5 Arise, and let us go by night, And let us destroy her palaces."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:6 ============ Jer 6:6 For thus says the Lord of hosts, "Cut down her trees And cast up a siege against Jerusalem. This is the city to be punished, In whose midst there is only oppression.(nasb) Jer 6:6 Quia hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Cædite lignum ejus, et fundite circa Jerusalem aggerem. Hæc est civitas visitationis: omnis calumnia in medio ejus.(vulgate) Jeremías 6:6 Porque así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: Cortad árboles, y levantad baluarte junto a Jerusalén; ésta [es] la ciudad que toda ella ha de ser castigada; toda ella [está] llena de violencia.(E) Jérémie 6:6 Car ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Abattez les arbres, Elevez des terrasses contre Jérusalem! C'est la ville qui doit être châtiée; Il n'y a qu'oppression au milieu d'elle.(F) Jer 6:6 Denn also spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Fällt die Bäume und werft einen Wall auf wider Jerusalem; denn sie ist eine Stadt, die heimgesucht werden soll. Ist doch eitel Unrecht darin.(D) Jer 6:6 ὅτι τάδε λέγει κύριος ἔκκοψον τὰ ξύλα αὐτῆς ἔκχεον ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ δύναμιν ὦ πόλις ψευδής ὅλη καταδυναστεία ἐν αὐτῇ(lxx) Jer 6:6 For thus has the Lord of hosts said: "Cut down trees, And build a mound against Jerusalem. This is the city to be punished. She is full of oppression in her midst.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:7 ============ Jer 6:7 "As a well keeps its waters fresh, So she keeps fresh her wickedness. Violence and destruction are heard in her; Sickness and wounds are ever before Me.(nasb) Jer 6:7 Sicut frigidam fecit cisterna aquam suam, sic frigidam fecit malitiam suam. Iniquitas et vastitas audietur in ea, coram me semper infirmitas et plaga.(vulgate) Jeremías 6:7 Como la fuente nunca cesa de manar sus aguas, así ella nunca cesa de manar su maldad; injusticia y robo se oye en ella; continuamente en mi presencia, enfermedad y herida.(E) Jérémie 6:7 Comme un puits fait jaillir ses eaux, Ainsi elle fait jaillir sa méchanceté; Il n'est bruit en son sein que de violence et de ruine; Sans cesse à mes regards s'offrent la douleur et les plaies.(F) Jer 6:7 Denn gleichwie ein Born sein Wasser quillt, also quillt auch ihre Bosheit. Ihr Frevel und Gewalt schreit über sie, und ihr Morden und Schlagen treiben sie täglich vor mir.(D) Jer 6:7 ὡς ψύχει λάκκος ὕδωρ οὕτως ψύχει κακία αὐτῆς ἀσέβεια καὶ ταλαιπωρία ἀκουσθήσεται ἐν αὐτῇ ἐπὶ πρόσωπον αὐτῆς διὰ παντός πόνῳ καὶ μάστιγι(lxx) Jer 6:7 As a fountain wells up with water, So she wells up with her wickedness. Violence and plundering are heard in her. Before Me continually are grief and wounds.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:8 ============ Jer 6:8 "Be warned, O Jerusalem, Or I shall be alienated from you, And make you a desolation, A land not inhabited."(nasb) Jer 6:8 Erudire, Jerusalem, ne forte recedat anima mea a te; ne forte ponam te desertam, terram inhabitabilem.(vulgate) Jeremías 6:8 Corrígete, Jerusalén, para que no se aparte mi alma de ti, para que no te convierta en desierto, en tierra inhabitada.(E) Jérémie 6:8 Reçois instruction, Jérusalem, De peur que je ne m'éloigne de toi, Que je ne fasse de toi un désert, Un pays inhabité!(F) Jer 6:8 Bessere dich Jerusalem, ehe sich mein Herz von dir wendet und ich dich zum wüsten Lande mache, darin niemand wohne!(D) Jer 6:8 παιδευθήσῃ Ιερουσαλημ μὴ ἀποστῇ ἡ ψυχή μου ἀπὸ σοῦ μὴ ποιήσω σε ἄβατον γῆν ἥτις οὐ κατοικηθήσεται(lxx) Jer 6:8 Be instructed, O Jerusalem, Lest My soul depart from you; Lest I make you desolate, A land not inhabited."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:9 ============ Jer 6:9 Thus says the Lord of hosts, "They will thoroughly glean as the vine the remnant of Israel; Pass your hand again like a grape gatherer Over the branches."(nasb) Jer 6:9 Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Usque ad racemum colligent quasi in vinea reliquias Israël. Converte manum tuam quasi vindemiator ad cartallum.(vulgate) Jeremías 6:9 Así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: Del todo rebuscarán como a vid al remanente de Israel; vuelve tu mano como vendimiador a los cestos.(E) Jérémie 6:9 Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: On grappillera comme une vigne les restes d'Israël. Portes-y de nouveau la main, Comme le vendangeur sur les ceps.(F) Jer 6:9 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Was übriggeblieben ist von Israel, das muß nachgelesen werden wie am Weinstock. Der Weinleser wird eins nach dem andern in die Butten werfen.(D) Jer 6:9 ὅτι τάδε λέγει κύριος καλαμᾶσθε καλαμᾶσθε ὡς ἄμπελον τὰ κατάλοιπα τοῦ Ισραηλ ἐπιστρέψατε ὡς ὁ τρυγῶν ἐπὶ τὸν κάρταλλον αὐτοῦ(lxx) Jer 6:9 Thus says the Lord of hosts: "They shall thoroughly glean as a vine the remnant of Israel; As a grape-gatherer, put your hand back into the branches."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:10 ============ Jer 6:10 To whom shall I speak and give warning That they may hear? Behold, their ears are closed And they cannot listen. Behold, the word of the Lord has become a reproach to them; They have no delight in it.(nasb) Jer 6:10 Cui loquar, et quem contestabor ut audiat? ecce incircumcisæ aures eorum, et audire non possunt: ecce verbum Domini factum est eis in opprobrium, et non suscipient illud.(vulgate) Jeremías 6:10 ¿A quién debo de hablar y amonestar, para que oigan? He aquí que sus oídos [son] incircuncisos, y no pueden escuchar; he aquí que la palabra de Jehová les es cosa vergonzosa, no la aman.(E) Jérémie 6:10 A qui m'adresser, et qui prendre à témoin pour qu'on écoute? Voici, leur oreille est incirconcise, Et ils sont incapables d'être attentifs; Voici, la parole de l'Eternel est pour eux un opprobre, Ils n'y trouvent aucun plaisir.(F) Jer 6:10 Ach, mit wem soll ich doch reden und zeugen? Daß doch jemand hören wollte! Aber ihre Ohren sind unbeschnitten; sie können's nicht hören. Siehe, sie halten des HERRN Wort für einen Spott und wollen es nicht.(D) Jer 6:10 πρὸς τίνα λαλήσω καὶ διαμαρτύρωμαι καὶ ἀκούσεται ἰδοὺ ἀπερίτμητα τὰ ὦτα αὐτῶν καὶ οὐ δύνανται ἀκούειν ἰδοὺ τὸ ῥῆμα κυρίου ἐγένετο αὐτοῖς εἰς ὀνειδισμόν οὐ μὴ βουληθῶσιν αὐτὸ ἀκοῦσαι(lxx) Jer 6:10 To whom shall I speak and give warning, That they may hear? Indeed their ear is uncircumcised, And they cannot give heed. Behold, the word of the Lord is a reproach to them; They have no delight in it.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:11 ============ Jer 6:11 But I am full of the wrath of the Lord; I am weary with holding it in. "Pour it out on the children in the street And on the gathering of young men together; For both husband and wife shall be taken, The aged and the very old.(nasb) Jer 6:11 Idcirco furore Domini plenus sum; laboravi sustinens. Effunde super parvulum foris, et super consilium juvenum simul: vir enim cum muliere capietur; senex cum pleno dierum.(vulgate) Jeremías 6:11 Por tanto, estoy lleno de la ira de Jehová, cansado estoy de contenerme; la derramaré sobre los niños en la calle, y sobre la reunión de los jóvenes juntamente; porque el marido también será preso con la esposa, el viejo con el lleno de días.(E) Jérémie 6:11 Je suis plein de la fureur de l'Eternel, je ne puis la contenir. Répands-la sur l'enfant dans la rue, Et sur les assemblées des jeunes gens. Car l'homme et la femme seront pris, Le vieillard et celui qui est chargé de jours.(F) Jer 6:11 Darum bin ich von des HERRN Drohen so voll, daß ich's nicht lassen kann. Schütte es aus über die Kinder auf der Gasse und über die Mannschaft im Rat miteinander; denn es sollen beide, Mann und Weib, Alte und der Wohlbetagte, gefangen werden.(D) Jer 6:11 καὶ τὸν θυμόν μου ἔπλησα καὶ ἐπέσχον καὶ οὐ συνετέλεσα αὐτούς ἐκχεῶ ἐπὶ νήπια ἔξωθεν καὶ ἐπὶ συναγωγὴν νεανίσκων ἅμα ὅτι ἀνὴρ καὶ γυνὴ συλλημφθήσονται πρεσβύτερος μετὰ πλήρους ἡμερῶν(lxx) Jer 6:11 Therefore I am full of the fury of the Lord. I am weary of holding it in. "I will pour it out on the children outside, And on the assembly of young men together; For even the husband shall be taken with the wife, The aged with him who is full of days.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:12 ============ Jer 6:12 "Their houses shall be turned over to others, Their fields and their wives together; For I will stretch out My hand Against the inhabitants of the land," declares the Lord.(nasb) Jer 6:12 Et transibunt domus eorum ad alteros, agri et uxores pariter, quia extendam manum meam super habitantes terram, dicit Dominus:(vulgate) Jeremías 6:12 Y sus casas serán traspasadas a otros, [sus] heredades y también sus esposas; porque extenderé mi mano sobre los moradores de la tierra, dice Jehová.(E) Jérémie 6:12 Leurs maisons passeront à d'autres, Les champs et les femmes aussi, Quand j'étendrai ma main sur les habitants du pays, Dit l'Eternel.(F) Jer 6:12 Ihre Häuser sollen den Fremden zuteil werden samt den Äckern und Weibern; denn ich will meine Hand ausstrecken, spricht der HERR, über des Landes Einwohner.(D) Jer 6:12 καὶ μεταστραφήσονται αἱ οἰκίαι αὐτῶν εἰς ἑτέρους ἀγροὶ καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό ὅτι ἐκτενῶ τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας τὴν γῆν ταύτην λέγει κύριος(lxx) Jer 6:12 And their houses shall be turned over to others, Fields and wives together; For I will stretch out My hand Against the inhabitants of the land," says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:13 ============ Jer 6:13 "For from the least of them even to the greatest of them, Everyone is greedy for gain, And from the prophet even to the priest Everyone deals falsely.(nasb) Jer 6:13 a minore quippe usque ad majorem omnes avaritiæ student, et a propheta usque ad sacerdotem cuncti faciunt dolum.(vulgate) Jeremías 6:13 Porque desde el más chico de ellos hasta el más grande de ellos, cada uno sigue la avaricia; y desde el profeta hasta el sacerdote, todos son engañadores.(E) Jérémie 6:13 Car depuis le plus petit jusqu'au plus grand, Tous sont avides de gain; Depuis le prophète jusqu'au sacrificateur, Tous usent de tromperie.(F) Jer 6:13 Denn sie geizen allesamt, klein und groß; und beide, Propheten und Priester, gehen allesamt mit Lügen um(D) Jer 6:13 ὅτι ἀπὸ μικροῦ αὐτῶν καὶ ἕως μεγάλου πάντες συνετελέσαντο ἄνομα ἀπὸ ἱερέως καὶ ἕως ψευδοπροφήτου πάντες ἐποίησαν ψευδῆ(lxx) Jer 6:13 "Because from the least of them even to the greatest of them, Everyone is given to covetousness; And from the prophet even to the priest, Everyone deals falsely.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:14 ============ Jer 6:14 "They have healed the brokenness of My people superficially, Saying, 'Peace, peace, 'But there is no peace.(nasb) Jer 6:14 Et curabant contritionem filiæ populi mei cum ignominia, dicentes: Pax, pax! et non erat pax.(vulgate) Jeremías 6:14 Y curan el quebrantamiento [de la hija] de mi pueblo con liviandad, diciendo: Paz, paz; y no [hay] paz.(E) Jérémie 6:14 Ils pansent à la légère la plaie de la fille de mon peuple: Paix! paix! disent-ils; Et il n'y a point de paix;(F) Jer 6:14 und trösten mein Volk in seinem Unglück, daß sie es gering achten sollen, und sagen: "Friede! Friede!", und ist doch nicht Friede.(D) Jer 6:14 καὶ ἰῶντο τὸ σύντριμμα τοῦ λαοῦ μου ἐξουθενοῦντες καὶ λέγοντες εἰρήνη εἰρήνη καὶ ποῦ ἐστιν εἰρήνη(lxx) Jer 6:14 They have also healed the hurt of My people slightly, Saying, 'Peace, peace!' When there is no peace.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:15 ============ Jer 6:15 "Were they ashamed because of the abomination they have done? They were not even ashamed at all; They did not even know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; At the time that I punish them, They shall be cast down," says the Lord.(nasb) Jer 6:15 Confusi sunt, quia abominationem fecerunt: quin potius confusione non sunt confusi, et erubescere nescierunt. Quam ob rem cadent inter ruentes: in tempore visitationis suæ corruent, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Jeremías 6:15 ¿Se han avergonzado de haber hecho abominación? Ciertamente no se han avergonzado, ni siquiera se han ruborizado; por tanto, caerán entre los que caigan; cuando los castigue, caerán, dice Jehová.(E) Jérémie 6:15 Ils seront confus, car ils commettent des abominations; Ils ne rougissent pas, ils ne connaissent pas la honte; C'est pourquoi ils tomberont avec ceux qui tombent, Ils seront renversés quand je les châtierai, Dit l'Eternel.(F) Jer 6:15 Darum werden sie mit Schanden bestehen, daß sie solche Greuel treiben; wiewohl sie wollen ungeschändet sein und wollen sich nicht schämen. Darum müssen sie fallen auf einen Haufen; und wenn ich sie heimsuchen werde, sollen sie stürzen, spricht der HERR.(D) Jer 6:15 κατῃσχύνθησαν ὅτι ἐξελίποσαν καὶ οὐδ᾽ ὧς καταισχυνόμενοι κατῃσχύνθησαν καὶ τὴν ἀτιμίαν αὐτῶν οὐκ ἔγνωσαν διὰ τοῦτο πεσοῦνται ἐν τῇ πτώσει αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν καιρῷ ἐπισκοπῆς αὐτῶν ἀπολοῦνται εἶπεν κύριος(lxx) Jer 6:15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No! They were not at all ashamed; Nor did they know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; At the time I punish them, They shall be cast down," says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:16 ============ Jer 6:16 Thus says the Lord, "Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; And you will find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it.'(nasb) Jer 6:16 Hæc dicit Dominus: State super vias, et videte, et interrogate de semitis antiquis quæ sit via bona, et ambulate in ea: et invenietis refrigerium animabus vestris. Et dixerunt: Non ambulabimus.(vulgate) Jeremías 6:16 Así dice Jehová: Paraos en los caminos, y mirad, y preguntad por las sendas antiguas, cuál [es] el buen camino, y andad por él, y hallaréis descanso para vuestra alma. Mas dijeron: No andaremos.(E) Jérémie 6:16 Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Placez-vous sur les chemins, regardez, Et demandez quels sont les anciens sentiers, Quelle est la bonne voie; marchez-y, Et vous trouverez le repos de vos âmes! Mais ils répondent: Nous n'y marcherons pas.(F) Jer 6:16 So spricht der HERR: Tretet auf die Wege und schauet und fraget nach den vorigen Wegen, welches der gute Weg sei, und wandelt darin, so werdet ihr Ruhe finden für eure Seele! Aber sie sprechen: Wir wollen's nicht tun!(D) Jer 6:16 τάδε λέγει κύριος στῆτε ἐπὶ ταῖς ὁδοῖς καὶ ἴδετε καὶ ἐρωτήσατε τρίβους κυρίου αἰωνίους καὶ ἴδετε ποία ἐστὶν ἡ ὁδὸς ἡ ἀγαθή καὶ βαδίζετε ἐν αὐτῇ καὶ εὑρήσετε ἁγνισμὸν ταῖς ψυχαῖς ὑμῶν καὶ εἶπαν οὐ πορευσόμεθα(lxx) Jer 6:16 Thus says the Lord: "Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it.'(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 6:17 ============ Jer 6:17 "And I set watchmen over you, saying, 'Listen to the sound of the trumpet!'But they said, 'We will not listen.'(nasb) Jer 6:17 Et constitui super vos speculatores: Audite vocem tubæ. Et dixerunt: Non audiemus.(vulgate) Jeremías 6:17 Puse también atalayas sobre vosotros, [que dijesen]: Escuchad el sonido de la trompeta. Y dijeron ellos: No escucharemos.(E) Jérémie 6:17 J'ai mis près de vous des sentinelles: Soyez attentifs au son de la trompette!
