Jon 3:4 And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day's walk. Then he cried out and said, "Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!"(nkjv)

Jon 3:5 Then the people of Nineveh believed in God; and they called a fast and put on sackcloth from the greatest to the least of them.(nasb)
Jon 3:5 Et crediderunt viri Ninivitæ in Deum, et prædicaverunt jejunium, et vestiti sunt saccis, a majore usque ad minorem.(vulgate)
Jonás 3:5 Y los hombres de Nínive creyeron a Dios, y pregonaron ayuno, y se vistieron de cilicio desde el mayor de ellos hasta el menor de ellos.(E)
Jonas 3:5 Les gens de Ninive crurent à Dieu, ils publièrent un jeûne, et se revêtirent de sacs, depuis les plus grands jusqu'aux plus petits.(F)

Jon 3:6 When the word reached the king of Nineveh, he arose from his throne, laid aside his robe from him, covered himself with sackcloth and sat on the ashes.(nasb)

Jon 3:7 He issued a proclamation and it said, "In Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles: Do not let man, beast, herd, or flock taste a thing. Do not let them eat or drink water.(nasb)
Jon 3:7 Et clamavit, et dixit in Ninive ex ore regis et principum ejus, dicens: Homines, et jumenta, et boves, et pecora non gustent quidquam: nec pascantur, et aquam non bibant.(vulgate)
Jonás 3:7 E hizo pregonar y anunciar en Nínive, por mandato del rey y de sus grandes, diciendo: Hombres y animales, bueyes y ovejas, no gusten cosa alguna, no se les dé alimento, ni beban agua;(E)
Jonas 3:7 Et il fit faire dans Ninive cette publication, par ordre du roi et de ses grands; Que les hommes et les bêtes, les boeufs et les brebis, ne goûtent de rien, ne paissent point, et ne boivent point d'eau!(F)
Jon 3:7 und ließ ausrufen und sagen zu Ninive nach Befehl des Königs und seiner Gewaltigen also: Es sollen weder Mensch noch Vieh, weder Ochsen noch Schafe Nahrung nehmen, und man soll sie nicht weiden noch sie Wasser trinken lassen;(D)

Jon 3:7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published throughout Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; do not let them eat, or drink water.(nkjv)

Jon 3:8 But both man and beast must be covered with sackcloth; and let men call on God earnestly that each may turn from his wicked way and from the violence which is in his hands.(nasb)

Jon 3:9 Who knows, God may turn and relent and withdraw His burning anger so that we will not perish."(nasb)
Jon 3:9 Quis scit si convertatur et ignoscat Deus, et revertatur a furore iræ suæ, et non peribimus?(vulgate)
Jonás 3:9 ¿Quién sabe [si] se volverá y arrepentirá Dios, y se apartará del furor de su ira, y no pereceremos?(E)
Jonas 3:9 Qui sait si Dieu ne reviendra pas et ne se repentira pas, et s'il ne renoncera pas à son ardente colère, en sorte que nous ne périssions point?(F)

Jon 3:10 When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their wicked way, then God relented concerning the calamity which He had declared He would bring upon them. And He did not do it.(nasb)
Jon 3:10 Et vidit Deus opera eorum, quia conversi sunt de via sua mala: et misertus est Deus super malitiam quam locutus fuerat ut faceret eis, et non fecit.(vulgate)
Jonás 3:10 Y vio Dios lo que hicieron, que se convirtieron de su mal camino; y se arrepintió del mal que había dicho que les había de hacer, y no [lo] hizo.(E)
