Jonas 4:2 Il implora l'Eternel, et il dit: Ah! Eternel, n'est-ce pas ce que je disais quand j'étais encore dans mon pays? C'est ce que je voulais prévenir en fuyant à Tarsis. Car je savais que tu es un Dieu compatissant et miséricordieux, lent à la colère et riche en bonté, et qui te repens du mal.(F)
Jon 4:2 und betete zum HERRN und sprach: Ach HERR, das ist's, was ich sagte, da ich noch in meinem Lande war; darum ich auch wollte zuvorkommen, zu fliehen gen Tharsis; denn ich weiß, daß du gnädig, barmherzig, langmütig und von großer Güte bist und läßt dich des Übels reuen.(D)

Jon 4:5 So Jonah went out of the city and sat on the east side of the city. There he made himself a shelter and sat under it in the shade, till he might see what would become of the city.(nkjv)

Jon 4:6 So the Lord God appointed a plant and it grew up over Jonah to be a shade over his head to deliver him from his discomfort. And Jonah was extremely happy about the plant.(nasb)
Jon 4:6 Et præparavit Dominus Deus hederam, et ascendit super caput Jonæ, ut esset umbra super caput ejus, et protegeret eum (laboraverat enim): et lætatus est Jonas super hedera lætitia magna.(vulgate)
Jonás 4:6 Y preparó Jehová Dios una calabacera, la cual creció sobre Jonás para que hiciese sombra sobre su cabeza, y le librase de su mal; y Jonás se alegró grandemente por la calabacera.(E)
Jonas 4:6 L'Eternel Dieu fit croître un ricin, qui s'éleva au-dessus de Jonas, pour donner de l'ombre sur sa tête et pour lui ôter son irritation. Jonas éprouva une grande joie à cause de ce ricin.(F)
Jon 4:6 Gott der HERR aber verschaffte einen Rizinus, der wuchs über Jona, daß er Schatten gäbe über sein Haupt und errettete ihn von seinem Übel; und Jona freute sich sehr über den Rizinus.(D)

Jon 4:6 And the Lord God prepared a plant and made it come up over Jonah, that it might be shade for his head to deliver him from his misery. So Jonah was very grateful for the plant.(nkjv)

Jon 4:7 But God appointed a worm when dawn came the next day and it attacked the plant and it withered.(nasb)

Jon 4:7 But as morning dawned the next day God prepared a worm, and it so damaged the plant that it withered.(nkjv)

Jon 4:8 When the sun came up God appointed a scorching east wind, and the sun beat down on Jonah's head so that he became faint and begged with all his soul to die, saying, "Death is better to me than life."(nasb)
Jon 4:8 Et cum ortus fuisset sol, præcepit Dominus vento calido et urenti: et percussit sol super caput Jonæ, et æstuabat: et petivit animæ suæ ut moreretur, et dixit: Melius est mihi mori quam vivere.(vulgate)
Jonás 4:8 Y aconteció que al salir el sol, preparó Dios un recio viento solano; y el sol hirió a Jonás en la cabeza, y desmayaba; y deseaba la muerte, diciendo: Mejor [sería] para mí la muerte que la vida.(E)
Jonas 4:8 Au lever du soleil, Dieu fit souffler un vent chaud d'orient, et le soleil frappa la tête de Jonas, au point qu'il tomba en défaillance. Il demanda la mort, et dit: La mort m'est préférable à la vie.(F)
Jon 4:8 Als aber die Sonne aufgegangen war, verschaffte Gott einen dürren Ostwind; und die Sonne stach Jona auf den Kopf, daß er matt ward. Da wünschte er seiner Seele den Tod und sprach: Ich wollte lieber tot sein als leben.(D)

Jon 4:8 And it happened, when the sun arose, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat on Jonah's head, so that he grew faint. Then he wished death for himself, and said, "It is better for me to die than to live."(nkjv)

Jon 4:9 Then God said to Jonah," Do you have good reason to be angry about the plant?" And he said, "I have good reason to be angry, even to death."(nasb)

Jon 4:10 Then the Lord said, "You had compassion on the plant for which you did not work and which you did not cause to grow, which came up overnight and perished overnight.(nasb)
Jon 4:10 Et dixit Dominus: Tu doles super hederam in qua non laborasti, neque fecisti ut cresceret; quæ sub una nocte nata est, et sub una nocte periit:(vulgate)
Jonás 4:10 Y dijo Jehová: Tuviste tú lástima de la calabacera, en la cual no trabajaste, ni tú la hiciste crecer; que en espacio de una noche nació, y en espacio de otra noche pereció:(E)
Jonas 4:10 Et l'Eternel dit: Tu as pitié du ricin qui ne t'a coûté aucune peine et que tu n'as pas fait croître, qui est né dans une nuit et qui a péri dans une nuit.(F)

Jon 4:11 Should I not have compassion on Nineveh, the great city in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know the difference between their right and left hand, as well as many animals?"(nasb)
Jon 4:11 et ego non parcam Ninive, civitati magnæ, in qua sunt plus quam centum viginti millia hominum qui nesciunt quid sit inter dexteram et sinistram suam, et jumenta multa?(vulgate)
Jonás 4:11 ¿Y no tendré yo piedad de Nínive, aquella grande ciudad donde hay más de ciento veinte mil personas que no pueden discernir entre su mano derecha y su mano izquierda, y muchos animales?(E)
Jonas 4:11 Et moi, je n'aurais pas pitié de Ninive, la grande ville, dans laquelle se trouvent plus de cent vingt mille hommes qui ne savent pas distinguer leur droite de leur gauche, et des animaux en grand nombre!(F)
Jon 4:11 und mich sollte nicht jammern Ninives, solcher großen Stadt, in welcher sind mehr denn hundert und zwanzigtausend Menschen, die nicht wissen Unterschied, was rechts oder links ist, dazu auch viele Tiere?(D)
