Hear my voice, O God, in my meditation; Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 64:2 ============ Psa 64:2 Hide me from the secret counsel of evildoers, From the tumult of those who do iniquity,(nas) Psa 64:2 εἰσάκουσον ὁ θεός τῆς φωνῆς μου ἐν τῷ δέεσθαί με ἀπὸ φόβου ἐχθροῦ ἐξελοῦ τὴν ψυχήν μου (lxx) Psa 64:2 [Vulgate 63:3] absconde me a consilio malignorum a tumultu operantium iniquitatem(vulgate) 3 ׃64 תַּ֭סְתִּירֵנִי מִסּ֣וֹד מְרֵעִ֑ים מֵ֝רִגְשַׁ֗ת פֹּ֣עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ Psalms Psa 64:2 Verbirg mich vor der Versammlung der Bösen, vor dem Haufen der Übeltäter,(dhs) Psa 64:2 Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, From the rebellion of the workers of iniquity,(nkjv) ======= Psalm 64:3 ============ Psa 64:3 Who have sharpened their tongue like a sword. They aimed bitter speech as their arrow,(nas) Psa 64:3 ἐσκέπασάς με ἀπὸ συστροφῆς πονηρευομένων ἀπὸ πλήθους ἐργαζομένων τὴν ἀνομίαν (lxx) Psa 64:3 [Vulgate 63:4] qui exacuerunt quasi gladium linguam suam tetenderunt sagittam suam verbum amarissimum(vulgate) 4 ׃64 אֲשֶׁ֤ר שָׁנְנ֣וּ כַחֶ֣רֶב לְשׁוֹנָ֑ם דָּרְכ֥וּ חִ֝צָּ֗ם דָּבָ֥ר מָֽר׃ Psalms Psa 64:3 welche ihre Zunge schärfen wie ein Schwert, die mit giftigen Worten zielen wie mit Pfeilen,(dhs) Psa 64:3 Who sharpen their tongue like a sword, And bend their bows to shoot their arrows--bitter words,(nkjv) ======= Psalm 64:4 ============ Psa 64:4 To shoot from concealment at the blameless; Suddenly they shoot at him, and do not fear.(nas) Psa 64:4 οἵτινες ἠκόνησαν ὡς ῥομφαίαν τὰς γλώσσας αὐτῶν ἐνέτειναν τόξον αὐτῶν πρᾶγμα πικρὸν (lxx) Psa 64:4 [Vulgate 63:5] ut sagittarent in absconditis simplicem(vulgate) 5 ׃64 לִיר֣וֹת בַּמִּסְתָּרִ֣ים תָּ֑ם פִּתְאֹ֥ם יֹ֝רֻ֗הוּ וְלֹ֣א יִירָֽאוּ׃ Psalms Psa 64:4 daß sie heimlich schießen die Frommen; plötzlich schießen sie auf ihn ohne alle Scheu.(dhs) Psa 64:4 That they may shoot in secret at the blameless; Suddenly they shoot at him and do not fear.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 64:5 ============ Psa 64:5 They hold fast to themselves an evil purpose; They talk of laying snares secretly; They say, "Who can see them?"(nas) Psa 64:5 τοῦ κατατοξεῦσαι ἐν ἀποκρύφοις ἄμωμον ἐξάπινα κατατοξεύσουσιν αὐτὸν καὶ οὐ φοβηθήσονται (lxx) Psa 64:5 [Vulgate 63:6] subito sagittabunt eum et non timebunt confortaverunt sibi sermonem pessimum narraverunt ut absconderent laqueos dixerunt quis videbit nos(vulgate) 6 ׃64 יְחַזְּקוּ־לָ֨מוֹ ׀ דָּ֘בָ֤ר רָ֗ע יְֽ֭סַפְּרוּ לִטְמ֣וֹן מוֹקְשִׁ֑ים אָ֝מְר֗וּ מִ֣י יִרְאֶה־לָּֽמוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 64:5 Sie sind kühn mit ihren bösen Anschlägen und sagen, wie sie Stricke legen wollen, und sprechen: Wer kann sie sehen?(dhs) Psa 64:5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter; They talk of laying snares secretly; They say, "Who will see them?"(nkjv) ======= Psalm 64:6 ============ Psa 64:6 They devise injustices, saying, "We are ready with a well-conceived plot"; For the inward thought and the heart of a man are deep.(nas) Psa 64:6 ἐκραταίωσαν ἑαυτοῖς λόγον πονηρόν διηγήσαντο τοῦ κρύψαι παγίδας εἶπαν τίς ὄψεται αὐτούς (lxx) Psa 64:6 [Vulgate 63:7] scrutati sunt iniquitates defecerunt scrutantes scrutinio cogitationibus singulorum et corde profundo(vulgate) 7 ׃64 יַֽחְפְּֽשׂוּ־עוֹלֹ֗ת תַּ֭מְנוּ חֵ֣פֶשׂ מְחֻפָּ֑שׂ וְקֶ֥רֶב אִ֝֗ישׁ וְלֵ֣ב עָמֹֽק׃ Psalms Psa 64:6 Sie erdichten Schalkheit und halten's heimlich, sind verschlagen und haben geschwinde Ränke.(dhs) Psa 64:6 They devise iniquities: "We have perfected a shrewd scheme." Both the inward thought and the heart of man are deep.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 64:7 ============ Psa 64:7 But God will shoot at them with an arrow; Suddenly they will be wounded.(nas) Psa 64:7 ἐξηρεύνησαν ἀνομίας ἐξέλιπον ἐξερευνῶντες ἐξερευνήσει προσελεύσεται ἄνθρωπος καὶ καρδία βαθεῖα (lxx) Psa 64:7 [Vulgate 63:8] sagittabit ergo eos Deus iaculo repentino inferentur plagae eorum(vulgate) 8 ׃64 וַיֹּרֵ֗ם אֱלֹ֫הִ֥ים חֵ֥ץ פִּתְא֑וֹם הָ֝י֗וּ מַכּוֹתָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 64:7 Aber Gott wird sie plötzlich schießen, daß es ihnen wehe tun wird.(dhs) Psa 64:7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; Suddenly they shall be wounded.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 64:8 ============ Psa 64:8 So they will make him stumble; Their own tongue is against them; All who see them will shake the head.(nas) Psa 64:8 καὶ ὑψωθήσεται ὁ θεός βέλος νηπίων ἐγενήθησαν αἱ πληγαὶ αὐτῶν (lxx) Psa 64:8 [Vulgate 63:9] et corruent in semet ipsos linguis suis fugient omnes qui viderint eos(vulgate) 9 ׃64 וַיַּכְשִׁיל֣וּהוּ עָלֵ֣ימוֹ לְשׁוֹנָ֑ם יִ֝תְנֹדֲד֗וּ כָּל־רֹ֥אֵה בָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 64:8 Ihre eigene Zunge wird sie fällen, daß ihrer spotten wird, wer sie sieht.(dhs) Psa 64:8 So He will make them stumble over their own tongue; All who see them shall flee away.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 64:9 ============ Psa 64:9 Then all men will fear, And they will declare the work of God, And will consider what He has done.(nas) Psa 64:9 καὶ ἐξησθένησαν ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς αἱ γλῶσσαι αὐτῶν ἐταράχθησαν πάντες οἱ θεωροῦντες αὐτούς (lxx) Psa 64:9 [Vulgate 63:10] et timebunt omnes homines et adnuntiabunt opus Dei et opera eius intellegent(vulgate) 10 ׃64 וַיִּֽירְא֗וּ כָּל־אָ֫דָ֥ם וַ֭יַּגִּידוּ פֹּ֥עַל אֱלֹהִ֗ים וּֽמַעֲשֵׂ֥הוּ הִשְׂכִּֽילוּ׃ Psalms Psa 64:9 Und alle Menschen werden sich fürchten und sagen: "Das hat Gott getan!" und merken, daß es sein Werk sei.(dhs) Psa 64:9 All men shall fear, And shall declare the work of God; For they shall wisely consider His doing.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 64:10 ============ Psa 64:10 The righteous man will be glad in the Lord and will take refuge in Him; And all the upright in heart will glory.(nas) Psa 64:10 εὐφρανθήσεται δίκαιος ἐπὶ τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ ἐλπιεῖ ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν καὶ ἐπαινεσθήσονται πάντες οἱ εὐθεῖς τῇ καρδίᾳ (lxx) Psa 64:10 [Vulgate 63:11] laetabitur iustus in Domino et sperabit in eo et exultabunt omnes recti corde(vulgate) 11 ׃64 יִשְׂמַ֬ח צַדִּ֣יק בַּ֭יהוָה וְחָ֣סָה ב֑וֹ וְ֝יִתְהַֽלְל֗וּ כָּל־יִשְׁרֵי־לֵֽב׃ Psalms Psa 64:10 Die Gerechten werden sich des HERRN freuen und auf ihn trauen, und alle frommen Herzen werden sich des rühmen.(dhs) Psa 64:10 The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and trust in Him.
