You shall be slain, all of you, Like a leaning wall and a tottering fence.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 62:4 ============ Psa 62:4 They have counseled only to thrust him down from his high position; They delight in falsehood; They bless with their mouth, But inwardly they curse. Selah.(nas) Psa 62:4 ἕως πότε ἐπιτίθεσθε ἐπ᾽ ἄνθρωπον φονεύετε πάντες ὡς τοίχῳ κεκλιμένῳ καὶ φραγμῷ ὠσμένῳ (lxx) Psa 62:4 [Vulgate 61:5] partem enim eius cogitaverunt expellere placuerunt sibi in mendacio ore suo singuli benedicunt et corde suo maledicunt semper(vulgate) 5 ׃62 אַ֤ךְ מִשְּׂאֵת֨וֹ ׀ יָ֥עֲצ֣וּ לְהַדִּיחַ֮ יִרְצ֢וּ כָ֫זָ֥ב בְּפִ֥יו יְבָרֵ֑כוּ וּ֝בְקִרְבָּ֗ם יְקַלְלוּ־סֶֽלָה׃ Psalms Psa 62:4 Sie denken nur, wie sie ihn dämpfen, fleißigen sich der Lüge; geben gute Worte, aber im Herzen fluchen sie. Selah(nkjv) ======= Psalm 62:9 ============ Psa 62:9 Men of low degree are only vanity and men of rank are a lie; In the balances they go up; They are together lighter than breath.(nas) Psa 62:9 ἐλπίσατε ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν πᾶσα συναγωγὴ λαοῦ ἐκχέετε ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν ὁ θεὸς βοηθὸς ἡμῶν διάψαλμα (lxx) Psa 62:9 [Vulgate 61:10] verumtamen vanitas filii Adam mendacium filii viri in stateris dolosis fraudulenter agunt simul(vulgate) 10 ׃62 אַ֤ךְ ׀ הֶ֥בֶל בְּנֵֽי־אָדָם֮ כָּזָ֢ב בְּנֵ֫י אִ֥ישׁ בְּמֹאזְנַ֥יִם לַעֲל֑וֹת הֵ֝֗מָּה מֵהֶ֥בֶל יָֽחַד׃ Psalms Psa 62:9 Aber Menschen sind ja nichts, große Leute fehlen auch; sie wiegen weniger denn nichts, so viel ihrer ist.(dhs) Psa 62:9 Surely men of low degree are a vapor, Men of high degree are a lie; If they are weighed on the scales, They are altogether lighter than vapor.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 62:10 ============ Psa 62:10 Do not trust in oppression And do not vainly hope in robbery; If riches increase, do not set your heart upon them.(nas) Psa 62:10 πλὴν μάταιοι οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν ἀνθρώπων ψευδεῖς οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν ἀνθρώπων ἐν ζυγοῖς τοῦ ἀδικῆσαι αὐτοὶ ἐκ ματαιότητος ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό (lxx) Psa 62:10 [Vulgate 61:11] nolite confidere in calumnia et in rapina ne frustremini divitiae si fluxerint ne adponatis cor(vulgate) 11 ׃62 אַל־תִּבְטְח֣וּ בְעֹשֶׁק֮ וּבְגָזֵ֢ל אַל־תֶּ֫הְבָּ֥לוּ חַ֤יִל ׀ כִּֽי־יָנ֑וּב אַל־תָּשִׁ֥יתוּ לֵֽב׃ Psalms Psa 62:10 Verlasset euch nicht auf Unrecht und Frevel, haltet euch nicht zu solchem, das eitel ist; fällt euch Reichtum zu, so hänget das Herz nicht daran.(dhs) Psa 62:10 Do not trust in oppression, Nor vainly hope in robbery; If riches increase, Do not set your heart on them.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 62:11 ============ Psa 62:11 Once God has spoken; Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God;(nas) Psa 62:11 μὴ ἐλπίζετε ἐπὶ ἀδικίαν καὶ ἐπὶ ἅρπαγμα μὴ ἐπιποθεῖτε πλοῦτος ἐὰν ῥέῃ μὴ προστίθεσθε καρδίαν (lxx) Psa 62:11 [Vulgate 61:12] unum locutus est Deus duo haec audivi quia imperium Dei est(vulgate) 12 ׃62 אַחַ֤ת ׀ דִּבֶּ֬ר אֱלֹהִ֗ים שְׁתַּֽיִם־ז֥וּ שָׁמָ֑עְתִּי כִּ֥י עֹ֝֗ז לֵאלֹהִֽים׃ Psalms Psa 62:11 Gott hat ein Wort geredet, das habe ich etlichemal gehört: daß Gott allein mächtig ist.(dhs) Psa 62:11 God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 62:12 ============ Psa 62:12 And lovingkindness is Yours, O Lord, For You recompense a man according to his work.(nas) Psa 62:12 ὅτι τὸ κράτος τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ σοί κύριε τὸ ἔλεος ὅτι σὺ ἀποδώσεις ἑκάστῳ κατὰ τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ (lxx) Psa 62:12 [Vulgate 61:13] et tibi Domine misericordia quia tu reddes unicuique secundum opus suum(vulgate) 13 ׃62 וּלְךָֽ־אֲדֹנָ֥י חָ֑סֶד כִּֽי־אַתָּ֨ה תְשַׁלֵּ֖ם לְאִ֣ישׁ כְּֽמַעֲשֵֽׂהוּ׃ Psalms Psa 62:12 Und du, HERR, bist gnädig und bezahlst einem jeglichen, wie er's verdient.(dhs) Psa 62:12 Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy; For You render to each one according to his work.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 63:1 ============ top of the page
