Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; Defend me from those who rise up against me.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 59:2 ============ Psa 59:2 Deliver me from those who do iniquity And save me from men of bloodshed.(nas) Psa 59:2 ἐξελοῦ με ἐκ τῶν ἐχθρῶν μου ὁ θεός καὶ ἐκ τῶν ἐπανιστανομένων ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ λύτρωσαί με (lxx) Psa 59:2 [Vulgate 58:3] libera me ab operariis iniquitatis et a viris sanguinum salva me(vulgate) 3 ׃59 הַ֭צִּילֵנִי מִפֹּ֣עֲלֵי אָ֑וֶן וּֽמֵאַנְשֵׁ֥י דָ֝מִ֗ים הוֹשִׁיעֵֽנִי׃ Psalms Psa 59:2 Errette mich von den Übeltätern und hilf mir von den Blutgierigen.(dhs) Psa 59:2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, And save me from bloodthirsty men.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 59:3 ============ Psa 59:3 For behold, they have set an ambush for my life; Fierce men launch an attack against me, Not for my transgression nor for my sin, O Lord,(nas) Psa 59:3 ῥῦσαί με ἐκ τῶν ἐργαζομένων τὴν ἀνομίαν καὶ ἐξ ἀνδρῶν αἱμάτων σῶσόν με (lxx) Psa 59:3 [Vulgate 58:4] quia ecce insidiati sunt animae meae congregantur adversum me fortissimi(vulgate) 4 ׃59 כִּ֤י הִנֵּ֪ה אָֽרְב֡וּ לְנַפְשִׁ֗י יָג֣וּרוּ עָלַ֣י עַזִ֑ים לֹא־פִשְׁעִ֖י וְלֹא־חַטָּאתִ֣י יְהוָֽה׃ Psalms Psa 59:3 Denn siehe, HERR, sie lauern auf meine Seele; die Starken sammeln sich wider mich ohne meine Schuld und Missetat.(dhs) Psa 59:3 For look, they lie in wait for my life; The mighty gather against me, Not for my transgression nor for my sin, O Lord.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 59:4 ============ Psa 59:4 For no guilt of mine, they run and set themselves against me. Arouse Yourself to help me, and see!(nas) Psa 59:4 ὅτι ἰδοὺ ἐθήρευσαν τὴν ψυχήν μου ἐπέθεντο ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ κραταιοί οὔτε ἡ ἀνομία μου οὔτε ἡ ἁμαρτία μου κύριε (lxx) Psa 59:4 [Vulgate 58:5] absque iniquitate mea et absque peccato meo Domine non egi inique et illi currunt et praeparantur(vulgate) 5 ׃59 בְּֽלִי־עָ֭וֺן יְרוּצ֣וּן וְיִכּוֹנָ֑נוּ ע֖וּרָה לִקְרָאתִ֣י וּרְאֵה׃ Psalms Psa 59:4 Sie laufen ohne meine Schuld und bereiten sich. Erwache und begegne mir und siehe drein.(dhs) Psa 59:4 They run and prepare themselves through no fault of mine. Awake to help me, and behold!(nkjv) ======= Psalm 59:5 ============ Psa 59:5 You, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, Awake to punish all the nations; Do not be gracious to any who are treacherous in iniquity. Selah.(nas) Psa 59:5 ἄνευ ἀνομίας ἔδραμον καὶ κατεύθυναν ἐξεγέρθητι εἰς συνάντησίν μου καὶ ἰδέ (lxx) Psa 59:5 [Vulgate 58:6] surge ex adverso pro me et respice et tu Domine Deus exercituum Deus Israhel evigila ut visites omnes gentes non miserearis universis qui operantur iniquitatem semper(vulgate) 6 ׃59 וְאַתָּ֤ה יְהוָֽה־אֱלֹהִ֥ים ׀ צְבָא֡וֹת אֱלֹ֘הֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל הָקִ֗יצָה לִפְקֹ֥ד כָּֽל־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם אַל־תָּחֹ֨ן כָּל־בֹּ֖גְדֵי אָ֣וֶן סֶֽלָה׃ Psalms Psa 59:5 Du, HERR, Gott Zebaoth, Gott Israels, wache auf und suche heim alle Heiden; sei der keinem gnädig, die so verwegene Übeltäter sind. Selah(nkjv) ======= Psalm 59:6 ============ Psa 59:6 They return at evening, they howl like a dog, And go around the city.(nas) Psa 59:6 καὶ σύ κύριε ὁ θεὸς τῶν δυνάμεων ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ πρόσχες τοῦ ἐπισκέψασθαι πάντα τὰ ἔθνη μὴ οἰκτιρήσῃς πάντας τοὺς ἐργαζομένους τὴν ἀνομίαν διάψαλμα (lxx) Psa 59:6 [Vulgate 58:7] revertantur ad vesperam et latrent ut canis et circumeant civitatem(vulgate) 7 ׃59 יָשׁ֣וּבוּ לָ֭עֶרֶב יֶהֱמ֥וּ כַכָּ֗לֶב וִיס֥וֹבְבוּ עִֽיר׃ Psalms Psa 59:6 Des Abends heulen sie wiederum wie die Hunde und laufen in der Stadt umher.(dhs) Psa 59:6 At evening they return, They growl like a dog, And go all around the city.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 59:7 ============ Psa 59:7 Behold, they belch forth with their mouth; Swords are in their lips, For, they say, "Who hears?"(nas) Psa 59:7 ἐπιστρέψουσιν εἰς ἑσπέραν καὶ λιμώξουσιν ὡς κύων καὶ κυκλώσουσιν πόλιν (lxx) Psa 59:7 [Vulgate 58:8] ecce loquuntur in ore suo gladii in labiis eorum quasi nemo audiat(vulgate) 8 ׃59 הִנֵּ֤ה ׀ יַבִּ֘יע֤וּן בְּפִיהֶ֗ם חֲ֭רָבוֹת בְּשִׂפְתוֹתֵיהֶ֑ם כִּי־מִ֥י שֹׁמֵֽעַ׃ Psalms Psa 59:7 Siehe, sie plaudern miteinander; Schwerter sind in ihren Lippen: "Wer sollte es hören?"(dhs) Psa 59:7 Indeed, they belch with their mouth; Swords are in their lips; For they say, "Who hears?"(nkjv) ======= Psalm 59:8 ============ Psa 59:8 But You, O Lord, laugh at them; You scoff at all the nations.(nas) Psa 59:8 ἰδοὺ ἀποφθέγξονται ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτῶν καὶ ῥομφαία ἐν τοῖς χείλεσιν αὐτῶν ὅτι τίς ἤκουσεν (lxx) Psa 59:8 [Vulgate 58:9] tu autem Domine deridebis eos subsannabis omnes gentes(vulgate) 9 ׃59 וְאַתָּ֣ה יְ֭הוָה תִּשְׂחַק־לָ֑מוֹ תִּ֝לְעַ֗ג לְכָל־גּוֹיִֽם׃ Psalms Psa 59:8 Aber du, HERR, wirst ihrer lachen und aller Heiden spotten.(dhs) Psa 59:8 But You, O Lord, shall laugh at them; You shall have all the nations in derision.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 59:9 ============ Psa 59:9 Because of his strength I will watch for You, For God is my stronghold.(nas) Psa 59:9 καὶ σύ κύριε ἐκγελάσῃ αὐτούς ἐξουδενώσεις πάντα τὰ ἔθνη (lxx) Psa 59:9 [Vulgate 58:10] fortitudinem meam ad te servabo quoniam tu Deus elevator meus(vulgate) 10 ׃59 עֻ֭זּוֹ אֵלֶ֣יךָ אֶשְׁמֹ֑רָה כִּֽי־אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים מִשְׂגַּבִּֽי׃ Psalms Psa 59:9 Vor ihrer Macht halte ich mich zu dir; denn Gott ist mein Schutz.(dhs) Psa 59:9 I will wait for You, O You his Strength; For God is my defense;(nkjv) ======= Psalm 59:10 ============ Psa 59:10 My God in His lovingkindness will meet me; God will let me look triumphantly upon my foes.(nas) Psa 59:10 τὸ κράτος μου πρὸς σὲ φυλάξω ὅτι ὁ θεὸς ἀντιλήμπτωρ μου εἶ (lxx) Psa 59:10 [Vulgate 58:11] Dei mei misericordia praeveniet me(vulgate) 11 ׃59 אֱלֹהֵ֣י *חסדו **חַסְדִּ֣י יְקַדְּמֵ֑נִי אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים יַרְאֵ֥נִי בְשֹׁרְרָֽי׃ Psalms Psa 59:10 Gott erzeigt mir reichlich seine Güte; Gott läßt mich meine Lust sehen an meinen Feinden.(dhs) Psa 59:10 My God of mercy shall come to meet me; God shall let me see my desire on my enemies.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 59:11 ============ Psa 59:11 Do not slay them, or my people will forget; Scatter them by Your power, and bring them down, O Lord, our shield.(nas) Psa 59:11 ὁ θεός μου τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ προφθάσει με ὁ θεὸς δείξει μοι ἐν τοῖς ἐχθροῖς μου (lxx) Psa 59:11 [Vulgate 58:12] Deus ostendit mihi in insidiatoribus meis ne occidas eos ne forte obliviscantur populi mei disperge eos in fortitudine tua et destrue eos protector noster Domine(vulgate) 12 ׃59 אַל־תַּהַרְגֵ֤ם ׀ פֶּֽן־יִשְׁכְּח֬וּ עַמִּ֗י הֲנִיעֵ֣מוֹ בְ֭חֵילְךָ וְהוֹרִידֵ֑מוֹ מָֽגִנֵּ֣נוּ אֲדֹנָֽי׃ Psalms Psa 59:11 Erwürge sie nicht, daß es mein Volk nicht vergesse; zerstreue sie aber mit deiner Macht, HERR, unser Schild, und stoße sie hinunter!(dhs) Psa 59:11 Do not slay them, lest my people forget; Scatter them by Your power, And bring them down, O Lord our shield.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 59:12 ============ Psa 59:12 On account of the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips, Let them even be caught in their pride, And on account of curses and lies which they utter.(nas) Psa 59:12 μὴ ἀποκτείνῃς αὐτούς μήποτε ἐπιλάθωνται τοῦ λαοῦ μου διασκόρπισον αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ δυνάμει σου καὶ κατάγαγε αὐτούς ὁ ὑπερασπιστής μου κύριε (lxx) Psa 59:12 [Vulgate 58:13] in peccato oris sui in sermone labiorum suorum et capiantur in superbia sua maledictionem et mendacium narrantes(vulgate) 13 ׃59 חַטַּאת־פִּ֗ימוֹ דְּֽבַר־שְׂפָ֫תֵ֥ימוֹ וְיִלָּכְד֥וּ בִגְאוֹנָ֑ם וּמֵאָלָ֖ה וּמִכַּ֣חַשׁ יְסַפֵּֽרוּ׃ Psalms Psa 59:12 Das Wort ihrer Lippen ist eitel Sünde, darum müssen sie gefangen werden in ihrer Hoffart; denn sie reden eitel Fluchen und Lügen.(dhs) Psa 59:12 For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips, Let them even be taken in their pride, And for the cursing and lying which they speak.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 59:13 ============ Psa 59:13 Destroy them in wrath, destroy them that they may be no more; That men may know that God rules in Jacob To the ends of the earth. Selah.(nas) Psa 59:13 ἁμαρτίαν στόματος αὐτῶν λόγον χειλέων αὐτῶν καὶ συλλημφθήτωσαν ἐν τῇ ὑπερηφανίᾳ αὐτῶν καὶ ἐξ ἀρᾶς καὶ ψεύδους διαγγελήσονται συντέλειαι (lxx) Psa 59:13 [Vulgate 58:14] consume in furore consume ut non subsistant et sciant quoniam Deus dominatur Iacob in finibus terrae semper(vulgate) 14 ׃59 כַּלֵּ֥ה בְחֵמָה֮ כַּלֵּ֢ה וְֽאֵ֫ינֵ֥מוֹ וְֽיֵדְע֗וּ כִּֽי־אֱ֭לֹהִים מֹשֵׁ֣ל בְּיַעֲקֹ֑ב לְאַפְסֵ֖י הָאָ֣רֶץ סֶֽלָה׃ Psalms Psa 59:13 Vertilge sie ohne alle Gnade; vertilge sie, daß sie nichts seien und innewerden, daß Gott Herrscher sei in Jakob, in aller Welt.
