What can mere man do to me?(nas) Psa 56:4 ἡμέρας φοβηθήσομαι ἐγὼ δὲ ἐπὶ σοὶ ἐλπιῶ (lxx) Psa 56:4 [Vulgate 55:5] in Deo laudavi verbum in Deo speravi non timebo quid faciat caro mihi(vulgate) 5 ׃56 בֵּאלֹהִים֮ אֲהַלֵּ֢ל דְּבָ֫ר֥וֹ בֵּאלֹהִ֣ים בָּ֭טַחְתִּי לֹ֣א אִירָ֑א מַה־יַּעֲשֶׂ֖ה בָשָׂ֣ר לִֽי׃ Psalms Psa 56:4 Ich will Gottes Namen rühmen; auf Gott will ich hoffen und mich nicht fürchten; was sollte mir Fleisch tun?(dhs) Psa 56:4 In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?(nkjv) ======= Psalm 56:5 ============ Psa 56:5 All day long they distort my words; All their thoughts are against me for evil.(nas) Psa 56:5 ἐν τῷ θεῷ ἐπαινέσω τοὺς λόγους μου ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν ἐπὶ τῷ θεῷ ἤλπισα οὐ φοβηθήσομαι τί ποιήσει μοι σάρξ (lxx) Psa 56:5 [Vulgate 55:6] tota die sermonibus me adfligebant contra me omnes cogitationes eorum in malum(vulgate) 6 ׃56 כָּל־הַ֭יּוֹם דְּבָרַ֣י יְעַצֵּ֑בוּ עָלַ֖י כָּל־מַחְשְׁבֹתָ֣ם לָרָֽע׃ Psalms Psa 56:5 Täglich fechten sie meine Worte an; all ihre Gedanken sind, daß sie mir Übel tun.(dhs) Psa 56:5 All day they twist my words; All their thoughts are against me for evil.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 56:6 ============ Psa 56:6 They attack, they lurk, They watch my steps, As they have waited to take my life.(nas) Psa 56:6 ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν τοὺς λόγους μου ἐβδελύσσοντο κατ᾽ ἐμοῦ πάντες οἱ διαλογισμοὶ αὐτῶν εἰς κακόν (lxx) Psa 56:6 [Vulgate 55:7] congregabuntur abscondite plantas meas observabunt expectantes animam meam(vulgate) 7 ׃56 יָג֤וּרוּ ׀ *יצפינו **יִצְפּ֗וֹנוּ הֵ֭מָּה עֲקֵבַ֣י יִשְׁמֹ֑רוּ כַּ֝אֲשֶׁ֗ר קִוּ֥וּ נַפְשִֽׁי׃ Psalms Psa 56:6 Sie halten zuhauf und lauern und haben acht auf meine Fersen, wie sie meine Seele erhaschen.(dhs) Psa 56:6 They gather together, They hide, they mark my steps, When they lie in wait for my life.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 56:7 ============ Psa 56:7 Because of wickedness, cast them forth, In anger put down the peoples, O God!(nas) Psa 56:7 παροικήσουσιν καὶ κατακρύψουσιν αὐτοὶ τὴν πτέρναν μου φυλάξουσιν καθάπερ ὑπέμειναν τὴν ψυχήν μου (lxx) Psa 56:7 [Vulgate 55:8] quia nullus est salvus in eis in furore populos detrahet Deus(vulgate) 8 ׃56 עַל־אָ֥וֶן פַּלֶּט־לָ֑מוֹ בְּ֝אַ֗ף עַמִּ֤ים ׀ הוֹרֵ֬ד אֱלֹהִֽים׃ Psalms Psa 56:7 Sollten sie mit ihrer Bosheit entrinnen? Gott, stoße solche Leute ohne alle Gnade hinunter!(dhs) Psa 56:7 Shall they escape by iniquity? Are they not in Your book?(nas) Psa 56:8 ὑπὲρ τοῦ μηθενὸς σώσεις αὐτούς ἐν ὀργῇ λαοὺς κατάξεις ὁ θεός (lxx) Psa 56:8 [Vulgate 55:9] secretiora mea numerasti pone lacrimam meam in conspectu tuo sed non in narratione tua(vulgate) 9 ׃56 נֹדִי֮ סָפַ֢רְתָּ֫ה אָ֥תָּה שִׂ֣ימָה דִמְעָתִ֣י בְנֹאדֶ֑ךָ הֲ֝לֹ֗א בְּסִפְרָתֶֽךָ׃ Psalms Psa 56:8 Zähle die Wege meiner Flucht; fasse meine Tränen in deinen Krug. What can man do to me?(nkjv) ======= Psalm 56:12 ============ Psa 56:12 Your vows are binding upon me, O God; I will render thank offerings to You.(nas) Psa 56:12 ἐπὶ τῷ θεῷ ἤλπισα οὐ φοβηθήσομαι τί ποιήσει μοι ἄνθρωπος (lxx) Psa 56:12 [Vulgate 55:12] in me sunt Deus vota tua reddam gratiarum actiones tibi(vulgate) 13 ׃56 עָלַ֣י אֱלֹהִ֣ים נְדָרֶ֑יךָ אֲשַׁלֵּ֖ם תּוֹדֹ֣ת לָֽךְ׃ Psalms Psa 56:12 Ich habe dir, Gott, gelobt, daß ich dir danken will;(dhs) Psa 56:12 Vows made to You are binding upon me, O God; I will render praises to You,(nkjv) ======= Psalm 56:13 ============ Psa 56:13 For You have delivered my soul from death, Indeed my feet from stumbling, So that I may walk before God In the light of the living.(nas) Psa 56:13 ὅτι ἐρρύσω τὴν ψυχήν μου ἐκ θανάτου καὶ τοὺς πόδας μου ἐξ ὀλισθήματος τοῦ εὐαρεστῆσαι ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν φωτὶ ζώντων (lxx) Psa 56:13 [Vulgate 55:13] quia liberasti animam meam de morte et pedes meos de lapsu ut ambulem coram Deo in luce viventium(vulgate) 14 ׃56 כִּ֤י הִצַּ֪לְתָּ נַפְשִׁ֡י מִמָּוֶת֮ הֲלֹ֥א רַגְלַ֗י מִ֫דֶּ֥חִי לְ֭הִֽתְהַלֵּךְ לִפְנֵ֣י אֱלֹהִ֑ים בְּ֝א֗וֹר הֽ͏ַחַיִּֽים׃ Psalms Psa 56:13 denn du hast meine Seele vom Tode errettet, meine Füße vom Gleiten, daß ich wandle vor Gott im Licht der Lebendigen.(dhs) Psa 56:13 For You have delivered my soul from death.
