They are corrupt, and have committed abominable injustice; There is no one who does good.(nas) Psa 53:1 εἰς τὸ τέλος ὑπὲρ μαελεθ συνέσεως τῷ Δαυιδ (lxx) Psa 53:1 [Vulgate 52:1] victori per chorum eruditi David dixit stultus in corde suo non est Deus [Vulgate 52:2] corrupti sunt et abominabiles facti sunt in iniquitate non est qui faciat bonum(vulgate) 1 ׃53 לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ עַֽל־מָחֲלַ֗ת מַשְׂכִּ֥יל לְדָוִֽד׃ 2 ׃53 אָ֘מַ֤ר נָבָ֣ל בְּ֭לִבּוֹ אֵ֣ין אֱלֹהִ֑ים הִֽ֝שְׁחִ֗יתוּ וְהִֽתְעִ֥יבוּ עָ֝֗וֶל אֵ֣ין עֹֽשֵׂה־טֽוֹב׃ Psalms Psa 53:1 (Eine Unterweisung Davids, im Chor umeinander vorzusingen.) They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity; There is none who does good.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 53:2 ============ Psa 53:2 God has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there is anyone who understands, Who seeks after God.(nas) Psa 53:2 εἶπεν ἄφρων ἐν καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἔστιν θεός διεφθάρησαν καὶ ἐβδελύχθησαν ἐν ἀνομίαις οὐκ ἔστιν ποιῶν ἀγαθόν (lxx) Psa 53:2 [Vulgate 52:3] Deus de caelo prospexit super filios hominum ut videret si esset intellegens requirens Deum(vulgate) 3 ׃53 אֱֽלֹהִ֗ים מִשָּׁמַיִם֮ הִשְׁקִ֢יף עַֽל־בְּנֵ֫י אָדָ֥ם לִ֭רְאוֹת הֲיֵ֣שׁ מַשְׂכִּ֑יל דֹּ֝רֵ֗שׁ אֶת־אֱלֹהִֽים׃ Psalms Psa 53:2 Gott schaut vom Himmel auf der Menschen Kinder, daß er sehe, ob jemand klug sei, der nach Gott frage.(dhs) Psa 53:2 God looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 53:3 ============ Psa 53:3 Every one of them has turned aside; together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, not even one.(nas) Psa 53:3 ὁ θεὸς ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ διέκυψεν ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν ἀνθρώπων τοῦ ἰδεῖν εἰ ἔστιν συνίων ἢ ἐκζητῶν τὸν θεόν (lxx) Psa 53:3 [Vulgate 52:4] omnes aversi sunt pariter adheserunt non est qui faciat bonum non est usque ad unum(vulgate) 4 ׃53 כֻּלּ֥וֹ סָג֮ יַחְדָּ֢ו נֶ֫אֱלָ֥חוּ אֵ֤ין עֹֽשֵׂה־ט֑וֹב אֵ֝֗ין גַּם־אֶחָֽד׃ Psalms Psa 53:3 Aber sie sind alle abgefallen und allesamt untüchtig; da ist keiner, der Gutes tue, auch nicht einer.(dhs) Psa 53:3 Every one of them has turned aside; They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 53:4 ============ Psa 53:4 Have the workers of wickedness no knowledge, Who eat up My people as though they ate bread And have not called upon God?(nas) Psa 53:4 πάντες ἐξέκλιναν ἅμα ἠχρεώθησαν οὐκ ἔστιν ποιῶν ἀγαθόν οὐκ ἔστιν ἕως ἑνός (lxx) Psa 53:4 [Vulgate 52:5] numquid non cognoverunt qui operantur iniquitatem qui comedunt populum meum ut cibum panis(vulgate) 5 ׃53 הֲלֹ֥א יָדְעוּ֮ פֹּ֤עֲלֵ֫י אָ֥וֶן אֹכְלֵ֣י עַ֭מִּי אָ֣כְלוּ לֶ֑חֶם אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים לֹ֣א קָרָֽאוּ׃ Psalms Psa 53:4 Wollen denn die Übeltäter sich nicht sagen lassen, die mein Volk fressen, daß sie sich nähren? Gott rufen sie nicht an.(dhs) Psa 53:4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon God?(nkjv) ======= Psalm 53:5 ============ Psa 53:5 There they were in great fear where no fear had been; For God scattered the bones of him who encamped against you; You put them to shame, because God had rejected them.(nas) Psa 53:5 οὐχὶ γνώσονται πάντες οἱ ἐργαζόμενοι τὴν ἀνομίαν οἱ ἔσθοντες τὸν λαόν μου βρώσει ἄρτου τὸν θεὸν οὐκ ἐπεκαλέσαντο (lxx) Psa 53:5 [Vulgate 52:6] Deum non invocaverunt ibi timuerunt timore ubi non est timor quoniam Deus dispersit ossa circumdantium te confunderis quia Deus proiecit eos(vulgate) 6 ׃53 שָׁ֤ם ׀ פָּ֥חֲדוּ פַחַד֮ לֹא־הָ֢יָ֫[t]ה פָ֥חַד כִּֽי־אֱלֹהִ֗ים פִּ֭זַּר עַצְמ֣וֹת חֹנָ֑ךְ הֱ֝בִשֹׁ֗תָה כִּֽי־אֱלֹהִ֥ים מְאָסָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 53:5 Da fürchten sie sich aber, wo nichts zu fürchten ist; denn Gott zerstreut die Gebeine derer, die dich belagern. Du machst sie zu Schanden; denn Gott verschmäht sie.(dhs) Psa 53:5 There they are in great fear Where no fear was, For God has scattered the bones of him who encamps against you; You have put them to shame, Because God has despised them.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 53:6 ============ Psa 53:6 Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores His captive people, Let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.(nas) Psa 53:6 τίς δώσει ἐκ Σιων τὸ σωτήριον τοῦ Ισραηλ ἐν τῷ ἐπιστρέψαι κύριον τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτοῦ ἀγαλλιάσεται Ιακωβ καὶ εὐφρανθήσεται Ισραηλ (lxx) Psa 53:6 [Vulgate 52:7] quis dabit ex Sion salutare Israhel cum reduxerit Deus captivitatem populi sui exultabit Iacob laetabitur Israhel(vulgate) 7 ׃53 מִ֥י יִתֵּ֣ן מִצִיּוֹן֮ יְשֻׁע֢וֹת יִשְׂרָ֫אֵ֥ל בְּשׁ֣וּב אֱ֭לֹהִים שְׁב֣וּת עַמּ֑וֹ יָגֵ֥ל יַ֝עֲקֹ֗ב יִשְׂמַ֥ח יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Psalms Psa 53:6 Ach daß Hilfe aus Zion über Israel käme und Gott sein gefangen Volk erlösete! So würde sich Jakob freuen und Israel fröhlich sein.(dhs) Psa 53:6 Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!
