Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:2 ============ Psa 51:2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity And cleanse me from my sin.(nas) Psa 51:2 ἐν τῷ ἐλθεῖν πρὸς αὐτὸν Ναθαν τὸν προφήτην ἡνίκα εἰσῆλθεν πρὸς Βηρσαβεε (lxx) Psa 51:2 [Vulgate 50:4] multum lava me ab iniquitate mea et a peccato meo munda me(vulgate) 3 ׃51 חָנֵּ֣נִי אֱלֹהִ֣ים כְּחַסְדֶּ֑ךָ כְּרֹ֥ב רַ֝חֲמֶ֗יךָ מְחֵ֣ה פְשָׁעָֽי׃ 4 ׃51 *הרבה **הֶ֭רֶב כַּבְּסֵ֣נִי מֵעֲוֺנִ֑י וּֽמֵחַטָּאתִ֥י טַהֲרֵֽנִי׃ Psalms Psa 51:2 Wasche mich wohl von meiner Missetat und reinige mich von meiner Sünde.(dhs) Psa 51:2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:3 ============ Psa 51:3 For I know my transgressions, And my sin is ever before me.(nas) Psa 51:3 ἐλέησόν με ὁ θεός κατὰ τὸ μέγα ἔλεός σου καὶ κατὰ τὸ πλῆθος τῶν οἰκτιρμῶν σου ἐξάλειψον τὸ ἀνόμημά μου (lxx) Psa 51:3 [Vulgate 50:5] quoniam iniquitates meas ego novi et peccatum meum contra me est semper(vulgate) 5 ׃51 כִּֽי־פְ֭שָׁעַי אֲנִ֣י אֵדָ֑ע וְחַטָּאתִ֖י נֶגְדִּ֣י תָמִֽיד׃ Psalms Psa 51:3 Denn ich erkenne meine Missetat, und meine Sünde ist immer vor mir.(dhs) Psa 51:3 For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:4 ============ Psa 51:4 Against You, You only, I have sinned And done what is evil in Your sight, So that You are justified when You speak And blameless when You judge.(nas) Psa 51:4 ἐπὶ πλεῖον πλῦνόν με ἀπὸ τῆς ἀνομίας μου καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς ἁμαρτίας μου καθάρισόν με (lxx) Psa 51:4 [Vulgate 50:6] tibi soli peccavi et malum coram te feci ut iustificeris in sermonibus tuis et vincas cum iudicaveris(vulgate) 6 ׃51 לְךָ֤ לְבַדְּךָ֨ ׀ חָטָאתִי֮ וְהָרַ֥ע בְּעֵינֶ֗יךָ עָ֫שִׂ֥יתִי לְ֭מַעַן תִּצְדַּ֥ק בְּדָבְרֶ֗ךָ תִּזְכֶּ֥ה בְשָׁפְטֶֽךָ׃ Psalms Psa 51:4 An dir allein habe ich gesündigt und übel vor dir getan, auf daß du recht behaltest in deinen Worten und rein bleibest, wenn du gerichtet wirst.(dhs) Psa 51:4 Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight-- That You may be found just when You speak, And blameless when You judge.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:5 ============ Psa 51:5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.(nas) Psa 51:5 ὅτι τὴν ἀνομίαν μου ἐγὼ γινώσκω καὶ ἡ ἁμαρτία μου ἐνώπιόν μού ἐστιν διὰ παντός (lxx) Psa 51:5 [Vulgate 50:7] ecce in iniquitate conceptus sum et in peccato peperit me mater mea(vulgate) 7 ׃51 הֵן־בְּעָו֥וֹן חוֹלָ֑לְתִּי וּ֝בְחֵ֗טְא יֶֽחֱמַ֥תְנִי אִמִּֽי׃ Psalms Psa 51:5 Siehe, ich bin in sündlichem Wesen geboren, und meine Mutter hat mich in Sünden empfangen.(dhs) Psa 51:5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:6 ============ Psa 51:6 Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being, And in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom.(nas) Psa 51:6 σοὶ μόνῳ ἥμαρτον καὶ τὸ πονηρὸν ἐνώπιόν σου ἐποίησα ὅπως ἂν δικαιωθῇς ἐν τοῖς λόγοις σου καὶ νικήσῃς ἐν τῷ κρίνεσθαί σε (lxx) Psa 51:6 [Vulgate 50:8] ecce enim veritatem diligis absconditum et arcanum sapientiae manifestasti mihi(vulgate) 8 ׃51 הֵן־אֱ֭מֶת חָפַ֣צְתָּ בַטֻּח֑וֹת וּ֝בְסָתֻ֗ם חָכְמָ֥ה תוֹדִיעֵֽנִי׃ Psalms Psa 51:6 Siehe, du hast Lust zur Wahrheit, die im Verborgenen liegt; du lässest mich wissen die heimliche Weisheit.(dhs) Psa 51:6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:7 ============ Psa 51:7 Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wasche mich, daß ich schneeweiß werde.(dhs) Psa 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:8 ============ Psa 51:8 Make me to hear joy and gladness, Let the bones which You have broken rejoice.(nas) Psa 51:8 ἰδοὺ γὰρ ἀλήθειαν ἠγάπησας τὰ ἄδηλα καὶ τὰ κρύφια τῆς σοφίας σου ἐδήλωσάς μοι (lxx) Psa 51:8 [Vulgate 50:10] auditum mihi facies gaudium et laetitiam ut exultent ossa quae confregisti(vulgate) 10 ׃51 תַּ֭שְׁמִיעֵנִי שָׂשׂ֣וֹן וְשִׂמְחָ֑ה תָּ֝גֵ֗לְנָה עֲצָמ֥וֹת דִּכִּֽיתָ׃ Psalms Psa 51:8 Laß mich hören Freude und Wonne, daß die Gebeine fröhlich werden, die du zerschlagen hast.(dhs) Psa 51:8 Make me hear joy and gladness, That the bones You have broken may rejoice.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:9 ============ Psa 51:9 Hide Your face from my sins And blot out all my iniquities.(nas) Psa 51:9 ῥαντιεῖς με ὑσσώπῳ καὶ καθαρισθήσομαι πλυνεῖς με καὶ ὑπὲρ χιόνα λευκανθήσομαι (lxx) Psa 51:9 [Vulgate 50:11] absconde faciem tuam a peccatis meis et omnes iniquitates meas dele(vulgate) 11 ׃51 הַסְתֵּ֣ר פָּ֭נֶיךָ מֵחֲטָאָ֑י וְֽכָל־עֲוֺ֖נֹתַ֣י מְחֵֽה׃ Psalms Psa 51:9 Verbirg dein Antlitz von meinen Sünden und tilge alle meine Missetaten.(dhs) Psa 51:9 Hide Your face from my sins, And blot out all my iniquities.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:10 ============ Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.(nas) Psa 51:10 ἀκουτιεῖς με ἀγαλλίασιν καὶ εὐφροσύνην ἀγαλλιάσονται ὀστᾶ τεταπεινωμένα (lxx) Psa 51:10 [Vulgate 50:12] cor mundum crea mihi Deus et spiritum stabilem renova in visceribus meis(vulgate) 12 ׃51 לֵ֣ב טָ֭הוֹר בְּרָא־לִ֣י אֱלֹהִ֑ים וְר֥וּחַ נָ֝כ֗וֹן חַדֵּ֥שׁ בְּקִרְבִּֽי׃ Psalms Psa 51:10 Schaffe in mir, Gott, ein reines Herz und gib mir einen neuen, gewissen Geist.(dhs) Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:11 ============ Psa 51:11 Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.(nas) Psa 51:11 ἀπόστρεψον τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἀπὸ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν μου καὶ πάσας τὰς ἀνομίας μου ἐξάλειψον (lxx) Psa 51:11 [Vulgate 50:13] ne proicias me a facie tua et spiritum sanctum tuum ne auferas a me(vulgate) 13 ׃51 אַל־תַּשְׁלִיכֵ֥נִי מִלְּפָנֶ֑יךָ וְר֥וּחַ קָ֝דְשְׁךָ֗ אַל־תִּקַּ֥ח מִמֶּֽנִּי׃ Psalms Psa 51:11 Verwirf mich nicht von deinem Angesicht und nimm deinen heiligen Geist nicht von mir.(dhs) Psa 51:11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:12 ============ Psa 51:12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit.(nas) Psa 51:12 καρδίαν καθαρὰν κτίσον ἐν ἐμοί ὁ θεός καὶ πνεῦμα εὐθὲς ἐγκαίνισον ἐν τοῖς ἐγκάτοις μου (lxx) Psa 51:12 [Vulgate 50:14] redde mihi laetitiam Iesu tui et spiritu potenti confirma me(vulgate) 14 ׃51 הָשִׁ֣יבָה לִּ֭י שְׂשׂ֣וֹן יִשְׁעֶ֑ךָ וְר֖וּחַ נְדִיבָ֣ה תִסְמְכֵֽנִי׃ Psalms Psa 51:12 Tröste mich wieder mit deiner Hilfe, und mit einem freudigen Geist rüste mich aus.(dhs) Psa 51:12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:13 ============ Psa 51:13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners will be converted to You.(nas) Psa 51:13 μὴ ἀπορρίψῃς με ἀπὸ τοῦ προσώπου σου καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιόν σου μὴ ἀντανέλῃς ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ (lxx) Psa 51:13 [Vulgate 50:15] docebo iniquos vias tuas et peccatores ad te revertentur(vulgate) 15 ׃51 אֲלַמְּדָ֣ה פֹשְׁעִ֣ים דְּרָכֶ֑יךָ וְ֝חַטָּאִ֗ים אֵלֶ֥יךָ יָשֽׁוּבוּ׃ Psalms Psa 51:13 Ich will die Übertreter deine Wege lehren, daß sich die Sünder zu dir bekehren.(dhs) Psa 51:13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:14 ============ Psa 51:14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation; Then my tongue will joyfully sing of Your righteousness.(nas) Psa 51:14 ἀπόδος μοι τὴν ἀγαλλίασιν τοῦ σωτηρίου σου καὶ πνεύματι ἡγεμονικῷ στήρισόν με (lxx) Psa 51:14 [Vulgate 50:16] libera me de sanguinibus Deus Deus salutis meae laudabit lingua mea iustitiam tuam(vulgate) 16 ׃51 הַצִּ֘ילֵ֤נִי מִדָּמִ֨ים ׀ אֱֽלֹהִ֗ים אֱלֹהֵ֥י תְשׁוּעָתִ֑י תְּרַנֵּ֥ן לְ֝שׁוֹנִ֗י צִדְקָתֶֽךָ׃ Psalms Psa 51:14 Errette mich von den Blutschulden, Gott, der du mein Gott und Heiland bist, daß meine Zunge deine Gerechtigkeit rühme.(dhs) Psa 51:14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, The God of my salvation, And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:15 ============ Psa 51:15 O Lord, open my lips, That my mouth may declare Your praise.(nas) Psa 51:15 διδάξω ἀνόμους τὰς ὁδούς σου καὶ ἀσεβεῖς ἐπὶ σὲ ἐπιστρέψουσιν (lxx) Psa 51:15 [Vulgate 50:17] Domine labia mea aperies et os meum adnuntiabit laudem tuam(vulgate) 17 ׃51 אֲ֭דֹנָי שְׂפָתַ֣י תִּפְתָּ֑ח וּ֝פִ֗י יַגִּ֥יד תְּהִלָּתֶֽךָ׃ Psalms Psa 51:15 Herr, tue meine Lippen auf, daß mein Mund deinen Ruhm verkündige.(dhs) Psa 51:15 O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:16 ============ Psa 51:16 For You do not delight in sacrifice, otherwise I would give it; baue die Mauern zu Jerusalem.(dhs) Psa 51:18 Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 51:19 ============ Psa 51:19 Then You will delight in righteous sacrifices, In burnt offering and whole burnt offering; Then young bulls will be offered on Your altar.(nas) Psa 51:19 τότε εὐδοκήσεις θυσίαν δικαιοσύνης ἀναφορὰν καὶ ὁλοκαυτώματα τότε ἀνοίσουσιν ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριόν σου μόσχους (lxx) Psa 51:19 [Vulgate 50:21] tunc suscipies sacrificium iustitiae oblationes et holocausta tunc inponent super altare tuum vitulos(vulgate) 21 ׃51 אָ֤ז תַּחְפֹּ֣ץ זִבְחֵי־צֶ֭דֶק עוֹלָ֣ה וְכָלִ֑יל אָ֤ז יַעֲל֖וּ עַל־מִזְבַּחֲךָ֣ פָרִֽים׃ Psalms Psa 51:19 Dann werden dir gefallen die Opfer der Gerechtigkeit, die Brandopfer und ganzen Opfer;
