Today's Date: ======= Psalm 97:1 ============ Psa 97:1 The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice; Let the many islands be glad.(nas) Psa 97:1 τῷ Δαυιδ ὅτε ἡ γῆ αὐτοῦ καθίσταται ὁ κύριος ἐβασίλευσεν ἀγαλλιάσθω ἡ γῆ εὐφρανθήτωσαν νῆσοι πολλαί (lxx) Psa 97:1 [Vulgate 96:1] Dominus regnavit exultabit terra laetabuntur insulae multae(vulgate) 1 ׃97 יְהוָ֣ה מָ֭לָךְ תָּגֵ֣ל הָאָ֑רֶץ יִ֝שְׂמְח֗וּ אִיִּ֥ים רַבִּֽים׃ Psalms Psa 97:1 Der HERR ist König; des freue sich das Erdreich und seien fröhlich die Inseln, soviel ihrer sind.(dhs) Psa 97:1 The Lord reigns; Let the earth rejoice; Let the multitude of isles be glad!(nkjv) ======= Psalm 97:2 ============ Psa 97:2 Clouds and thick darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.(nas) Psa 97:2 νεφέλη καὶ γνόφος κύκλῳ αὐτοῦ δικαιοσύνη καὶ κρίμα κατόρθωσις τοῦ θρόνου αὐτοῦ (lxx) Psa 97:2 [Vulgate 96:2] nubes et caligo in circuitu eius iustitia et iudicium firmamentum solii eius(vulgate) 2 ׃97 עָנָ֣ן וַעֲרָפֶ֣ל סְבִיבָ֑יו צֶ֥דֶק וּ֝מִשְׁפָּ֗ט מְכ֣וֹן כִּסְאֽוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 97:2 Wolken und Dunkel ist um ihn her; Gerechtigkeit und Gericht ist seines Stuhles Festung.(dhs) Psa 97:2 Clouds and darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 97:3 ============ Psa 97:3 Fire goes before Him And burns up His adversaries round about.(nas) Psa 97:3 πῦρ ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ προπορεύσεται καὶ φλογιεῖ κύκλῳ τοὺς ἐχθροὺς αὐτοῦ (lxx) Psa 97:3 [Vulgate 96:3] ignis ante faciem eius ibit et exuret per circuitum hostes eius(vulgate) 3 ׃97 אֵ֭שׁ לְפָנָ֣יו תֵּלֵ֑ךְ וּתְלַהֵ֖ט סָבִ֣יב צָרָֽיו׃ Psalms Psa 97:3 Feuer geht vor ihm her und zündet an umher seine Feinde.(dhs) Psa 97:3 A fire goes before Him, And burns up His enemies round about.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 97:4 ============ Psa 97:4 His lightnings lit up the world; The earth saw and trembled.(nas) Psa 97:4 ἔφαναν αἱ ἀστραπαὶ αὐτοῦ τῇ οἰκουμένῃ εἶδεν καὶ ἐσαλεύθη ἡ γῆ (lxx) Psa 97:4 [Vulgate 96:4] apparuerunt fulgora eius orbi vidit et contremuit terra(vulgate) 4 ׃97 הֵאִ֣ירוּ בְרָקָ֣יו תֵּבֵ֑ל רָאֲתָ֖ה וַתָּחֵ֣ל הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Psalms Psa 97:4 Seine Blitze leuchten auf den Erdboden; das Erdreich siehet's und erschrickt.(dhs) Psa 97:4 His lightnings light the world; The earth sees and trembles.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 97:5 ============ Psa 97:5 The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.(nas) Psa 97:5 τὰ ὄρη ἐτάκησαν ὡσεὶ κηρὸς ἀπὸ προσώπου κυρίου ἀπὸ προσώπου κυρίου πάσης τῆς γῆς (lxx) Psa 97:5 [Vulgate 96:5] montes sicut cera tabefacti sunt a facie Domini a facie dominatoris omnis terrae(vulgate) 5 ׃97 הָרִ֗ים כַּדּוֹנַ֗ג נָ֭מַסּוּ מִלִּפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה מִ֝לִּפְנֵ֗י אֲד֣וֹן כָּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Psalms Psa 97:5 Die Berge zerschmelzen wie Wachs vor dem HERRN, vor dem Herrscher des ganzen Erdbodens.(dhs) Psa 97:5 The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 97:6 ============ Psa 97:6 The heavens declare His righteousness, And all the peoples have seen His glory.(nas) Psa 97:6 ἀνήγγειλαν οἱ οὐρανοὶ τὴν δικαιοσύνην αὐτοῦ καὶ εἴδοσαν πάντες οἱ λαοὶ τὴν δόξαν αὐτοῦ (lxx) Psa 97:6 [Vulgate 96:6] adnuntiaverunt caeli iustitiam eius et viderunt omnes populi gloriam eius(vulgate) 6 ׃97 הִגִּ֣ידוּ הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם צִדְק֑וֹ וְרָא֖וּ כָל־הָעַמִּ֣ים כְּבוֹדֽוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 97:6 Die Himmel verkündigen seine Gerechtigkeit, und alle Völker sehen seine Ehre.(dhs) Psa 97:6 The heavens declare His righteousness, And all the peoples see His glory.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 97:7 ============ Psa 97:7 Let all those be ashamed who serve graven images, Who boast themselves of idols; Worship Him, all you gods.(nas) Psa 97:7 αἰσχυνθήτωσαν πάντες οἱ προσκυνοῦντες τοῖς γλυπτοῖς οἱ ἐγκαυχώμενοι ἐν τοῖς εἰδώλοις αὐτῶν προσκυνήσατε αὐτῷ πάντες οἱ ἄγγελοι αὐτοῦ (lxx) Psa 97:7 [Vulgate 96:7] confundantur universi qui serviunt sculptili qui gloriantur in idolis adorate eum omnes dii(vulgate) 7 ׃97 יֵבֹ֤שׁוּ ׀ כָּל־עֹ֬בְדֵי פֶ֗סֶל הַמִּֽתְהַלְלִ֥ים בָּאֱלִילִ֑ים הִשְׁתַּחֲווּ־ל֝וֹ כָּל־אֱלֹהִֽים׃ Psalms Psa 97:7 Schämen müssen sich alle, die den Bildern dienen und sich der Götzen rühmen. Betet ihn an, alle Götter!(dhs) Psa 97:7 Let all be put to shame who serve carved images, Who boast of idols. Worship Him, all you gods.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 97:8 ============ Psa 97:8 Zion heard this and was glad, And the daughters of Judah have rejoiced Because of Your judgments, O Lord.(nas) Psa 97:8 ἤκουσεν καὶ εὐφράνθη Σιων καὶ ἠγαλλιάσαντο αἱ θυγατέρες τῆς Ιουδαίας ἕνεκεν τῶν κριμάτων σου κύριε (lxx) Psa 97:8 [Vulgate 96:8] audivit et laetata est Sion et exultaverunt filiae Iudae propter iudicia tua Domine(vulgate) 8 ׃97 שָׁמְעָ֬ה וַתִּשְׂמַ֨ח ׀ צִיּ֗וֹן וַ֭תָּגֵלְנָה בְּנ֣וֹת יְהוּדָ֑ה לְמַ֖עַן מִשְׁפָּטֶ֣יךָ יְהוָֽה׃ Psalms Psa 97:8 Zion hört es und ist froh; und die Töchter Juda's sind fröhlich, HERR, über dein Regiment.(dhs) Psa 97:8 Zion hears and is glad, And the daughters of Judah rejoice Because of Your judgments, O Lord.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 97:9 ============ Psa 97:9 For You are the Lord Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.(nas) Psa 97:9 ὅτι σὺ εἶ κύριος ὁ ὕψιστος ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν σφόδρα ὑπερυψώθης ὑπὲρ πάντας τοὺς θεούς (lxx) Psa 97:9 [Vulgate 96:9] tu enim Dominus Excelsus super omnem terram vehementer elevatus es super universos deos(vulgate) 9 ׃97 כִּֽי־אַתָּ֤ה יְהוָ֗ה עֶלְי֥וֹן עַל־כָּל־הָאָ֑רֶץ מְאֹ֥ד נַ֝עֲלֵ֗יתָ עַל־כָּל־אֱלֹהִֽים׃ Psalms Psa 97:9 Denn du, HERR, bist der Höchste in allen Landen; du bist hoch erhöht über alle Götter.(dhs) Psa 97:9 For You, Lord, are most high above all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 97:10 ============ Psa 97:10 Hate evil, you who love the Lord, Who preserves the souls of His godly ones; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.(nas) Psa 97:10 οἱ ἀγαπῶντες τὸν κύριον μισεῖτε πονηρόν φυλάσσει κύριος τὰς ψυχὰς τῶν ὁσίων αὐτοῦ ἐκ χειρὸς ἁμαρτωλῶν ῥύσεται αὐτούς (lxx) Psa 97:10 [Vulgate 96:10] qui diligitis Dominum odite malum custodit animas sanctorum suorum de manu impiorum eruet eos(vulgate) 10 ׃97 אֹהֲבֵ֥י יְהוָ֗ה שִׂנְא֫וּ רָ֥ע שֹׁ֭מֵר נַפְשׁ֣וֹת חֲסִידָ֑יו מִיַּ֥ד רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים יַצִּילֵֽם׃ Psalms Psa 97:10 Die ihr den HERRN liebet, hasset das Arge! Der HERR bewahret die Seelen seiner Heiligen; von der Gottlosen Hand wird er sie erretten.(dhs) Psa 97:10 You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 97:11 ============ Psa 97:11 Light is sown like seed for the righteous And gladness for the upright in heart.(nas) Psa 97:11 φῶς ἀνέτειλεν τῷ δικαίῳ καὶ τοῖς εὐθέσι τῇ καρδίᾳ εὐφροσύνη (lxx) Psa 97:11 [Vulgate 96:11] lux orta est iusto et rectis corde laetitia(vulgate) 11 ׃97 א֖וֹר זָרֻ֣עַ לַצַּדִּ֑יק וּֽלְיִשְׁרֵי־לֵ֥ב שִׂמְחָֽה׃ Psalms Psa 97:11 Dem Gerechten muß das Licht immer wieder aufgehen und Freude den frommen Herzen.(dhs) Psa 97:11 Light is sown for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 97:12 ============ Psa 97:12 Be glad in the Lord, you righteous ones, And give thanks to His holy name.(nas) Psa 97:12 εὐφράνθητε δίκαιοι ἐπὶ τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ ἐξομολογεῖσθε τῇ μνήμῃ τῆς ἁγιωσύνης αὐτοῦ (lxx) Psa 97:12 [Vulgate 96:12] laetamini iusti in Domino et confitemini memoriae sanctae eius(vulgate) 12 ׃97 שִׂמְח֣וּ צַ֭דִּיקִים בַּֽיהוָ֑ה וְ֝הוֹד֗וּ לְזֵ֣כֶר קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 97:12 Ihr Gerechten freuet euch des HERRN und danket ihm und preiset seine Heiligkeit!(dhs) Psa 97:12 Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 98:1 ============ top of the page
