Today's Date: 4/9/2025 ======= Psalm 125:1 ============ Psa 125:1 Those who trust in the Lord Are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever.(nas) Psa 125:1 ᾠδὴ τῶν ἀναβαθμῶν οἱ πεποιθότες ἐπὶ κύριον ὡς ὄρος Σιων οὐ σαλευθήσεται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ὁ κατοικῶν Ιερουσαλημ (lxx) Psa 125:1 [Vulgate 124:1] canticum graduum qui confidunt in Domino quasi mons Sion inmobilis in aeternum habitabilis(vulgate) 1 ׃125 שִׁ֗יר הַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת הַבֹּטְחִ֥ים בַּיהוָ֑ה כְּֽהַר־צִיּ֥וֹן לֹא־יִ֝מּ֗וֹט לְעוֹלָ֥ם יֵשֵֽׁב׃ Psalms Psa 125:1 (Ein Lied im Höhern Chor.) Those who trust in the Lord Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 125:2 ============ Psa 125:2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the Lord surrounds His people From this time forth and forever.(nas) Psa 125:2 ὄρη κύκλῳ αὐτῆς καὶ κύριος κύκλῳ τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν καὶ ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος (lxx) Psa 125:2 [Vulgate 124:2] Hierusalem montes in circuitu eius et Dominus in circuitu populi sui amodo et usque in aeternum(vulgate) 2 ׃125 יְֽרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם הָרִים֮ סָבִ֢יב לָ֥הּ וַ֭יהוָה סָבִ֣יב לְעַמּ֑וֹ מֵ֝עַתָּ֗ה וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 125:2 Um Jerusalem her sind Berge, und der HERR ist um sein Volk her von nun an bis in Ewigkeit.(dhs) Psa 125:2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the Lord surrounds His people From this time forth and forever.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 125:3 ============ Psa 125:3 For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous, So that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong.(nas) Psa 125:3 ὅτι οὐκ ἀφήσει τὴν ῥάβδον τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν ἐπὶ τὸν κλῆρον τῶν δικαίων ὅπως ἂν μὴ ἐκτείνωσιν οἱ δίκαιοι ἐν ἀνομίᾳ χεῖρας αὐτῶν (lxx) Psa 125:3 [Vulgate 124:3] quia non requiescet virga impietatis super sortem iustorum ut non mittant iusti in iniquitatem manus suas(vulgate) 3 ׃125 כִּ֤י ׀[t] לֹ֪א יָנ֡[t]וּחַ שֵׁ֤בֶט הָרֶ֗שַׁע עַל֮ גּוֹרַ֢ל הַֽצַּדִּ֫יקִ֥ים לְמַ֡עַן לֹא־יִשְׁלְח֖וּ הַצַדִּיקִ֨ים בְּעַוְלָ֬תָה יְדֵיהֶֽם׃ Psalms Psa 125:3 Denn der Gottlosen Zepter wird nicht bleiben über dem Häuflein der Gerechten, auf daß die Gerechten ihre Hand nicht ausstrecken zur Ungerechtigkeit.(dhs) Psa 125:3 For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest On the land allotted to the righteous, Lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 125:4 ============ Psa 125:4 Do good, O Lord, to those who are good And to those who are upright in their hearts.(nas) Psa 125:4 ἀγάθυνον κύριε τοῖς ἀγαθοῖς καὶ τοῖς εὐθέσι τῇ καρδίᾳ (lxx) Psa 125:4 [Vulgate 124:4] benefac Domine bonis et rectis corde(vulgate) 4 ׃125 הֵיטִ֣יבָה יְ֭הוָה לַטּוֹבִ֑ים וְ֝לִֽישָׁרִ֗ים בְּלִבּוֹתָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 125:4 HERR, tue wohl den guten und frommen Herzen!(dhs) Psa 125:4 Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, And to those who are upright in their hearts.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 125:5 ============ Psa 125:5 But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways, The Lord will lead them away with the doers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.(nas) Psa 125:5 τοὺς δὲ ἐκκλίνοντας εἰς τὰς στραγγαλιὰς ἀπάξει κύριος μετὰ τῶν ἐργαζομένων τὴν ἀνομίαν εἰρήνη ἐπὶ τὸν Ισραηλ (lxx) Psa 125:5 [Vulgate 124:5] qui autem declinant ad pravitates suas deducet eos Dominus cum his qui operantur iniquitatem pax super Israhel(vulgate) 5 ׃125 וְהַמַּטִּ֤ים עַֽקַלְקַלּוֹתָ֗ם יוֹלִיכֵ֣ם יְ֭הוָה אֶת־פֹּעֲלֵ֣י הָאָ֑וֶן שָׁ֝ל֗וֹם עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Psalms Psa 125:5 Die aber abweichen auf ihre krummen Wege, wird der HERR wegtreiben mit den Übeltätern. Friede sei über Israel!(dhs) Psa 125:5 As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, The Lord shall lead them away With the workers of iniquity.
