I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 7:5 ============ 2Co 7:5 For even when we came into Macedonia our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted on every side: conflicts without, fears within.(nas) 2Co 7:5 καὶ γὰρ ἐλθόντων ἡμῶν εἰς μακεδονίαν οὐδεμίαν ἔσχηκεν ἄνεσιν ἡ σὰρξ ἡμῶν, ἀλλ᾽ ἐν παντὶ θλιβόμενοι _ ἔξωθεν μάχαι, ἔσωθεν φόβοι. (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 7:7 Non solum autem in adventu ejus, sed etiam in consolatione, qua consolatus est in vobis, referens nobis vestrum desiderium, vestrum fletum, vestram æmulationem pro me, ita ut magis gauderem.~(vulgate) וְלֹא בְּבֹאוֹ בִּלְבָד כִּי אִם־גַּם בְּתַנְחוּמִים אֲשֶׁר מָצָא בֵינֵיכֶם בְּהַגִּידוֹ לָנוּ אֶת־חֵשֶׁק לִבְּכֶם אֶת־יְגוֹנְכֶם וְאֶת־קִנְאַתְכֶם לִי אֲשֶׁר עַל־כֵּן הוֹסִיף שִׂמְחָה בְּלִבִּי׃ ז Corinthians2 2Co 7:7 nicht allein aber durch seine Ankunft, sondern auch durch den Trost, mit dem er getröstet war an euch, da er uns verkündigte euer Verlangen, euer Weinen, euren Eifer um mich, also daß ich mich noch mehr freute.(dhs) 2Co 7:7 and not only by his coming, but also by the consolation with which he was comforted in you, when he told us of your earnest desire, your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced even more.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 7:8 ============ 2Co 7:8 For though I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it; though I did regret it--for I see that that letter caused you sorrow, though only for a while--(nas) 2Co 7:8 ὅτι εἰ καὶ ἐλύπησα ὑμᾶς ἐν τῇ ἐπιστολῇ, οὐ μεταμέλομαι· εἰ καὶ μετεμελόμην βλέπω [γὰρ] ὅτι ἡ ἐπιστολὴ ἐκείνη εἰ καὶ πρὸς ὥραν ἐλύπησεν ὑμᾶς, (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 7:8 Quoniam etsi contristavi vos in epistola, non me pœnitet: etsi pœniteret, videns quod epistola illa (etsi ad horam) vos contristavit,(vulgate) וְאִם גַּם־הֶעֱצַבְתִּי אֶתְכֶם בְּאִגַּרְתִּי לֹא אֶנָּחֵם עַתָּה אַף כִּי־נִחַמְתִּי אָז בִּרְאֹתִי כִּי־הָאִגֶּרֶת הַהִיא הֶעֱצִיבָה אֶתְכֶם לִזְמָן מָה׃ ח Corinthians2 2Co 7:8 Denn daß ich euch durch den Brief habe traurig gemacht, reut mich nicht. Und ob's mich reute, dieweil ich sehe, daß der Brief vielleicht eine Weile euch betrübt hat,(dhs) 2Co 7:8 For even if I made you sorry with my letter, I do not regret it; though I did regret it. For I perceive that the same epistle made you sorry, though only for a while.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 7:9 ============ 2Co 7:9 I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, so that you might not suffer loss in anything through us.(nas) 2Co 7:9 νῦν χαίρω, οὐχ ὅτι ἐλυπήθητε, ἀλλ᾽ ὅτι ἐλυπήθητε εἰς μετάνοιαν· ἐλυπήθητε γὰρ κατὰ θεόν, ἵνα ἐν μηδενὶ ζημιωθῆτε ἐξ ἡμῶν. (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 7:9 nunc gaudeo: non quia contristati estis, sed quia contristati estis ad pœnitentiam. Contristati enim estis ad Deum, ut in nullo detrimentum patiamini ex nobis.(vulgate) וְעַתָּה אֲנִי שָׂמֵחַ לֹא עַל־עָצְבְּכֶם כִּי אִם־עַל־עָצְבְּכֶם לִתְשׁוּבָה אַחֲרֵי אֲשֶׁר נֶעֱצַבְתֶּם לְפִי רְצוֹן אֱלֹהִים לִבְלִי הֱיוֹת לָכֶם כָּל־נֶזֶק עַל־יָדֵנוּ׃ ט Corinthians2 2Co 7:9 so freue ich mich doch nun, nicht darüber, daß ihr seid betrübt worden, sondern daß ihr betrübt seid worden zur Reue. Denn ihr seid göttlich betrübt worden, daß ihr von uns ja keinen Schaden irgendworin nehmet.(dhs) 2Co 7:9 Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 7:10 ============ 2Co 7:10 For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.(nas) 2Co 7:10 ἡ γὰρ κατὰ θεὸν λύπη μετάνοιαν εἰς σωτηρίαν ἀμεταμέλητον ἐργάζεται· ἡ δὲ τοῦ κόσμου λύπη θάνατον κατεργάζεται. (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 7:10 Quæ enim secundum Deum tristitia est, pœnitentiam in salutem stabilem operatur: sæculi autem tristitia mortem operatur.(vulgate) כִּי הָעֹצֶב לְפִי רְצוֹן אֱלֹהִים מוֹלִיךְ לִתְשׁוּבָה וְלִתְשׁוּעָה אֲשֶׁר עַל־זֹאת לֹא יִנָּחֵם אִישׁ אַךְ עֹצֶב לְפִי־דֶרֶךְ הָעוֹלָם יוֹלִיךְ לַמָּוֶת׃ י Corinthians2 2Co 7:10 Denn göttliche Traurigkeit wirkt zur Seligkeit einen Reue, die niemand gereut; die Traurigkeit aber der Welt wirkt den Tod.(dhs) 2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 7:11 ============ 2Co 7:11 For behold what earnestness this very thing, this godly sorrow, has produced in you: what vindication of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, what zeal, what avenging of wrong! In everything you demonstrated yourselves to be innocent in the matter.(nas) 2Co 7:11 ἰδοὺ γὰρ αὐτὸ τοῦτο τὸ κατὰ θεὸν λυπηθῆναι πόσην κατειργάσατο ὑμῖν σπουδήν, ἀλλὰ ἀπολογίαν, ἀλλὰ ἀγανάκτησιν, ἀλλὰ φόβον, ἀλλὰ ἐπιπόθησιν, ἀλλὰ ζῆλον, ἀλλὰ ἐκδίκησιν· ἐν παντὶ συνεστήσατε ἑαυτοὺς ἁγνοὺς εἶναι τῶ πράγματι. (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 7:11 Ecce enim hoc ipsum, secundum Deum contristari vos, quantam in vobis operatur sollicitudinem: sed defensionem, sed indignationem, sed timorem, sed desiderium, sed æmulationem, sed vindictam: in omnibus exhibuistis vos incontaminatos esse negotio.(vulgate) הֲלֹא תִרְאוּ פְרִי עָצְבְּכֶם אֲשֶׁר כִּרְצוֹן אֱלֹהִים כִּי עוֹרֵר אֶתְכֶם לִשְׁקֹד עַל־דְּבָרֵינוּ אַף לְהִצְטַדֵּק וְאַף לְהִתְקַצֵּף אַף לְיִרְאָה וְאַף לְאַהֲבָה אַף לְקִנְאָה וְאַף לִנְקָמָה הוֹכַחְתֶּם כִּי־נְקִיִּים הֱיִיתֶם מִכֹּל וָכֹל בָּעִנְיָן הַהוּא׃ יא Corinthians2 2Co 7:11 Siehe, daß ihr göttlich seid betrübt worden, welchen Fleiß hat das in euch gewirkt, dazu Verantwortung, Zorn, Furcht, Verlangen, Eifer, Rache! Ihr habt euch bewiesen in allen Stücken, daß ihr rein seid in der Sache.(dhs) 2Co 7:11 For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 7:12 ============ 2Co 7:12 So although I wrote to you, it was not for the sake of the offender nor for the sake of the one offended, but that your earnestness on our behalf might be made known to you in the sight of God.(nas) 2Co 7:12 ἄρα εἰ καὶ ἔγραψα ὑμῖν, οὐχ ἕνεκεν τοῦ ἀδικήσαντος, οὐδὲ ἕνεκεν τοῦ ἀδικηθέντος, ἀλλ᾽ ἕνεκεν τοῦ φανερωθῆναι τὴν σπουδὴν ὑμῶν τὴν ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ. And besides our comfort, we rejoiced even much more for the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.(nas) 2Co 7:13 διὰ τοῦτο παρακεκλήμεθα. ἐπὶ δὲ τῇ παρακλήσει ἡμῶν περισσοτέρως μᾶλλον ἐχάρημεν ἐπὶ τῇ χαρᾷ τίτου, ὅτι ἀναπέπαυται τὸ πνεῦμα αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ πάντων ὑμῶν· (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 7:13 coram Deo: ideo consolati sumus. In consolatione autem nostra, abundantius magis gavisi sumus super gaudio Titi, quia refectus est spiritus ejus ab omnibus vobis:(vulgate) וּבַעֲבוּר־זֹאת תַּנְחוּמִים יְשַׁעַשְׁעוּ נַפְשֵׁנוּ בְּתַנְחוּמֹתֵיכֶם וְרֹב שְׂמָחוֹת שָׂבַעְנוּ בְּשִׂמְחַת טִיטוֹס אֲשֶׁר כֻּלְּכֶם יַחְדָּו הֵנַּחְתֶּם אֶת־רוּחוֹ׃ יג Corinthians2 2Co 7:13 Derhalben sind wir getröstet worden, daß ihr getröstet seid. And we rejoiced exceedingly more for the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 7:14 ============ 2Co 7:14 For if in anything I have boasted to him about you, I was not put to shame; but as we spoke all things to you in truth, so also our boasting before Titus proved to be the truth.(nas) 2Co 7:14 ὅτι εἴ τι αὐτῶ ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν κεκαύχημαι οὐ κατῃσχύνθην, ἀλλ᾽ ὡς πάντα ἐν ἀληθείᾳ ἐλαλήσαμεν ὑμῖν, οὕτως καὶ ἡ καύχησις ἡμῶν ἡ ἐπὶ τίτου ἀλήθεια ἐγενήθη. (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 7:14 et si quid apud illum de vobis gloriatus sum, non sum confusus: sed sicut omnia vobis in veritate locuti sumus, ita et gloriatio nostra, quæ fuit ad Titum, veritas facta est,(vulgate) וַאֲנִי לֹא אֵבוֹשׁ מֵאֲשֶׁר הִלַּלְתִּיכֶם לְפָנָיו כִּי כַּאֲשֶׁר כָּל־דְּבָרֵינוּ אֲלֵיכֶם דִּבְרֵי אֱמֶת הֵם כֵּן הוּקַם דְּבַר הַתְּהִלָּה אֲשֶׁר הִלַּלְתִּיכֶם לִפְנֵי טִיטוֹס׃ יד Corinthians2 2Co 7:14 Denn was ich vor ihm von euch gerühmt habe, darin bin ich nicht zu Schanden geworden; sondern, gleichwie alles wahr ist, was ich von euch geredet habe, also ist auch unser Rühmen vor Titus wahr geworden.(dhs) 2Co 7:14 For if in anything I have boasted to him about you, I am not ashamed. But as we spoke all things to you in truth, even so our boasting to Titus was found true.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 7:15 ============ 2Co 7:15 His affection abounds all the more toward you, as he remembers the obedience of you all, how you received him with fear and trembling.(nas) 2Co 7:15 καὶ τὰ σπλάγχνα αὐτοῦ περισσοτέρως εἰς ὑμᾶς ἐστιν ἀναμιμνῃσκομένου τὴν πάντων ὑμῶν ὑπακοήν, ὡς μετὰ φόβου καὶ τρόμου ἐδέξασθε αὐτόν.
