Today's Date: ======= 2 Corinthians 9:1 ============ 2Co 9:1 For it is superfluous for me to write to you about this ministry to the saints;(nas) 2Co 9:1 περὶ μὲν γὰρ τῆς διακονίας τῆς εἰς τοὺς ἁγίους περισσόν μοί ἐστιν τὸ γράφειν ὑμῖν, (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 9:1 Nam de ministerio, quod fit in sanctos ex abundanti est mihi scribere vobis.(vulgate) אָמְנָם עַל־דְּבַר מִשְׁמַרְתֵּנוּ לְכַלְכֵּל אֶת־הַקְּדוֹשִׁים אַךְ־לְמוֹתָר לִי לִכְתֹּב אֲלֵיכֶם׃ א Corinthians2 2Co 9:1 Denn von solcher Steuer, die den Heiligen geschieht, ist mir nicht not, euch zu schreiben.(dhs) 2Co 9:1 Now concerning the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you;(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 9:2 ============ 2Co 9:2 for I know your readiness, of which I boast about you to the Macedonians, namely, that Achaia has been prepared since last year, and your zeal has stirred up most of them.(nas) 2Co 9:2 οἶδα γὰρ τὴν προθυμίαν ὑμῶν ἣν ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν καυχῶμαι μακεδόσιν ὅτι ἀχαΐα παρεσκεύασται ἀπὸ πέρυσι, καὶ τὸ ὑμῶν ζῆλος ἠρέθισεν τοὺς πλείονας. (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 9:2 Scio enim promptum animum vestrum: pro quo de vobis glorior apud Macedones. Quoniam et Achaia parata est ab anno præterito, et vestra æmulatio provocavit plurimos.(vulgate) כִּי יָדַעְתִּי נִדְבַת לִבְּכֶם אֲשֶׁר הָיְתָה לִתְהִלָּה בְּפִי מֵאָז לִפְנֵי קְהַל מַקְדּוֹנְיָא לֵאמֹר כִּי זֶה שָׁנָה אֲשֶׁר אֲכַיָּא נָכוֹן לִבָּהּ לְהִתְנַדֵּב וְכִי גַּם־קִנְאַתְכֶם עוֹרְרָה לֵב רַבִּים׃ ב Corinthians2 2Co 9:2 Denn ich weiß euren guten Willen, davon ich rühme bei denen aus Mazedonien und sage: Achaja ist schon voriges Jahr bereit gewesen; und euer Beispiel hat viele gereizt.(dhs) 2Co 9:2 for I know your willingness, about which I boast of you to the Macedonians, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal has stirred up the majority.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 9:3 ============ 2Co 9:3 But I have sent the brethren, in order that our boasting about you may not be made empty in this case, so that, as I was saying, you may be prepared;(nas) 2Co 9:3 ἔπεμψα δὲ τοὺς ἀδελφούς, ἵνα μὴ τὸ καύχημα ἡμῶν τὸ ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν κενωθῇ ἐν τῶ μέρει τούτῳ, ἵνα καθὼς ἔλεγον παρεσκευασμένοι ἦτε, (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 9:3 Misi autem fratres: ut ne quod gloriamur de vobis, evacuetur in hac parte, ut (quemadmodum dixi) parati sitis:(vulgate) אֲבָל שָׁלַחְתִּי אֲלֵיכֶם אֶת־הָאַחִים לְמַעַן לֹא תִהְיֶה תְהִלַּתְכֶם בְּפִי בַּדָּבָר הַזֶּה לָרִיק וּלְמַעַן תִּהְיוּ נְכֹנִים כַּאֲשֶׁר אָמָרְתִּי׃ ג Corinthians2 2Co 9:3 Ich habe aber diese Brüder darum gesandt, daß nicht unser Rühmen von euch zunichte würde in dem Stücke, und daß ihr bereit seid, gleichwie ich von euch gesagt habe;(dhs) 2Co 9:3 Yet I have sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this respect, that, as I said, you may be ready;(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 9:4 ============ 2Co 9:4 otherwise if any Macedonians come with me and find you unprepared, we--not to speak of you--will be put to shame by this confidence.(nas) 2Co 9:4 μή πως ἐὰν ἔλθωσιν σὺν ἐμοὶ μακεδόνες καὶ εὕρωσιν ὑμᾶς ἀπαρασκευάστους καταισχυνθῶμεν ἡμεῖς, ἵνα μὴ λέγω ὑμεῖς, ἐν τῇ ὑποστάσει ταύτῃ. (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 9:4 ne cum venerint Macedones mecum, et invenerint vos imparatos, erubescamus nos (ut non dicamus vos) in hac substantia.(vulgate) כִּי אִם־יָבוֹאוּ אַנְשֵׁי מַקְדּוֹנְיָא עִמִּי וְיִמְצְאוּ כִּי אֵינְכֶם נְכֹנִים אֵינֶנִּי אֹמֵר כִּי אַתֶּם תֵּבשׁוּ אַךְ אֲנַחְנוּ הֲלֹא נֵבוֹשׁ מִמִּבְטָחֵנוּ׃ ד Corinthians2 2Co 9:4 auf daß nicht, so die aus Mazedonien mit mir kämen und euch unbereit fänden, wir (will nicht sagen: ihr) zu Schanden würden mit solchem Rühmen.(dhs) 2Co 9:4 lest if some Macedonians come with me and find you unprepared, we (not to mention you!) should be ashamed of this confident boasting.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 9:5 ============ 2Co 9:5 So I thought it necessary to urge the brethren that they would go on ahead to you and arrange beforehand your previously promised bountiful gift, so that the same would be ready as a bountiful gift and not affected by covetousness.(nas) 2Co 9:5 ἀναγκαῖον οὗν ἡγησάμην παρακαλέσαι τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ἵνα προέλθωσιν εἰς ὑμᾶς καὶ προκαταρτίσωσιν τὴν προεπηγγελμένην εὐλογίαν ὑμῶν, ταύτην ἑτοίμην εἶναι οὕτως ὡς εὐλογίαν καὶ μὴ ὡς πλεονεξίαν. (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 9:5 Necessarium ergo existimavi rogare fratres, ut præveniant ad vos, et præparent repromissam benedictionem hanc paratam esse sic, quasi benedictionem, non tamquam avaritiam.~(vulgate) עַל־כֵּן חָשַׁבְתִּי כִּי עָלַי הַדָּבָר לְהָעִיר אֶת־הָאַחִים לְקַדֵּם לָבוֹא אֲלֵיכֶם לְהָכִין מִסַּת נִדְבַת יֶדְכֶם כִּמְדֻבָּר מֵאָז לִהְיוֹת עֲרוּכָה כְּמִסַּת יַד נָדִיב וְלֹא כְיַד כִּילַי׃ ה Corinthians2 2Co 9:5 So habe ich es nun für nötig angesehen, die Brüder zu ermahnen, daß sie voranzögen zu euch, fertigzumachen diesen zuvor verheißenen Segen, daß er bereit sei, also daß es sei ein Segen und nicht ein Geiz.(dhs) 2Co 9:5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren to go to you ahead of time, and prepare your generous gift beforehand, which you had previously promised, that it may be ready as a matter of generosity and not as a grudging obligation.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 9:6 ============ 2Co 9:6 Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.(nas) 2Co 9:6 τοῦτο δέ, ὁ σπείρων φειδομένως φειδομένως καὶ θερίσει, καὶ ὁ σπείρων ἐπ᾽ εὐλογίαις ἐπ᾽ εὐλογίαις καὶ θερίσει. (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 9:6 Hoc autem dico: qui parce seminat, parce et metet: et qui seminat in benedictionibus, de benedictionibus et metet.(vulgate) כִּי הִנֵּה הַזֹּרֵעַ זֶרַע רָזֶה יִקְצֹר רָזוֹן וְהַזֹּרֵעַ בְּיַד נְדִיבָה יִקְצֹר נְדִיבוֹת׃ ו Corinthians2 2Co 9:6 Ich meine aber das: Wer da kärglich sät, der wird auch kärglich ernten; und wer da sät im Segen, der wird auch ernten im Segen.(dhs) 2Co 9:6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 9:7 ============ 2Co 9:7 Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.(nas) 2Co 9:7 ἕκαστος καθὼς προῄρηται τῇ καρδίᾳ, μὴ ἐκ λύπης ἢ ἐξ ἀνάγκης, ἱλαρὸν γὰρ δότην ἀγαπᾷ ὁ θεός. (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 9:7 Unusquisque, prout destinavit in corde suo, non ex tristitia, aut ex necessitate: hilarem enim datorem diligit Deus.(vulgate) כָּל־אִישׁ יִתֵּן כַּאֲשֶׁר יִדְּבֶנּוּ לִבּוֹ לֹא בְעַיִן רָעָה וְלֹא בְאֹנֶס כִּי הַנֹּתֵן בְּלֵב טוֹב יֶאֱהַב אֹתוֹ אֱלֹהִים׃ ז Corinthians2 2Co 9:7 Ein jeglicher nach seiner Willkür, nicht mit Unwillen oder aus Zwang; denn einen fröhlichen Geber hat Gott lieb.(dhs) 2Co 9:7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 9:8 ============ 2Co 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;(nas) 2Co 9:8 δυνατεῖ δὲ ὁ θεὸς πᾶσαν χάριν περισσεῦσαι εἰς ὑμᾶς, ἵνα ἐν παντὶ πάντοτε πᾶσαν αὐτάρκειαν ἔχοντες περισσεύητε εἰς πᾶν ἔργον ἀγαθόν, (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 9:8 Potens est autem Deus omnem gratiam abundare facere in vobis: ut in omnibus semper omnem sufficientiam habentes, abundetis in omne opus bonum,(vulgate) וְיַד אֱלֹהִים מַשֶּׂגֶת לִשְׁפֹּת לָכֶם כָּל־חָסֶד לְמַלֵּא דֵי מַחְסֹרְכֶם כָּל־הַיָּמִים וְלָתֵת לָכֶם חַיִל לַעֲשׂוֹת כָּל־טוֹב׃ ח Corinthians2 2Co 9:8 Gott aber kann machen, daß allerlei Gnade unter euch reichlich sei, daß ihr in allen Dingen volle Genüge habt und reich seid zu allerlei guten Werken;(dhs) 2Co 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 9:9 ============ 2Co 9:9 as it is written, "HE SCATTERED ABROAD, HE GAVE TO THE POOR, HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ENDURES FOREVER."(nas) 2Co 9:9 καθὼς γέγραπται, ἐσκόρπισεν, ἔδωκεν τοῖς πένησιν, ἡ δικαιοσύνη αὐτοῦ μένει εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα. (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 9:9 sicut scriptum est: Dispersit, dedit pauperibus: justitia ejus manet in sæculum sæculi.(vulgate) כַּכָּתוּב פִּזַּר נָתַן לָאֶבְיוֹנִים צִדְקָתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַד׃ ט Corinthians2 2Co 9:9 wie geschrieben steht: "Er hat ausgestreut und gegeben den Armen; seine Gerechtigkeit bleibt in Ewigkeit."(dhs) 2Co 9:9 As it is written: "He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever."(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 9:10 ============ 2Co 9:10 Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness;(nas) 2Co 9:10 ὁ δὲ ἐπιχορηγῶν σπόρον τῶ σπείροντι καὶ ἄρτον εἰς βρῶσιν χορηγήσει καὶ πληθυνεῖ τὸν σπόρον ὑμῶν καὶ αὐξήσει τὰ γενήματα τῆς δικαιοσύνης ὑμῶν· (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 9:10 Qui autem administrat semen seminanti: et panem ad manducandum præstabit, et multiplicabit semen vestrum, et augebit incrementa frugum justitiæ vestræ:(vulgate) וְהַנֹּתֵן זֶרַע לַזֹּרֵעַ וְלֶחֶם לָאֹכֵל כֹּה יִתֵּן וְכֹה יוֹסִף לָכֶם אֶת־זַרְעֲכֶם וְאֶת־פְּרִי צִדְקַתְכֶם יַרְבֶּה׃ י Corinthians2 2Co 9:10 Der aber Samen reicht dem Säemann, der wird auch das Brot reichen zur Speise und wird vermehren euren Samen und wachsen lassen das Gewächs eurer Gerechtigkeit,(dhs) 2Co 9:10 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 9:11 ============ 2Co 9:11 you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.(nas) 2Co 9:11 ἐν παντὶ πλουτιζόμενοι εἰς πᾶσαν ἁπλότητα, ἥτις κατεργάζεται δι᾽ ἡμῶν εὐχαριστίαν τῶ θεῶ _ (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 9:11 ut in omnibus locupletati abundetis in omnem simplicitatem, quæ operatur per nos gratiarum actionem Deo.(vulgate) כִּי תִתְבָּרֲכוּ בַכֹּל בְּכָל־מַעֲשֵׂה נְדִיבוֹת לְהַשְׁמִיעַ תְּהִלַּת אֱלֹהִים עַל־יָדֵינוּ׃ יא Corinthians2 2Co 9:11 daß ihr reich seid in allen Dingen mit aller Einfalt, welche wirkt durch uns Danksagung Gott.(dhs) 2Co 9:11 while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 9:12 ============ 2Co 9:12 For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God.(nas) 2Co 9:12 ὅτι ἡ διακονία τῆς λειτουργίας ταύτης οὐ μόνον ἐστὶν προσαναπληροῦσα τὰ ὑστερήματα τῶν ἁγίων, ἀλλὰ καὶ περισσεύουσα διὰ πολλῶν εὐχαριστιῶν τῶ θεῶ _ (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 9:12 Quoniam ministerium hujus officii non solum supplet ea quæ desunt sanctis, sed etiam abundat per multas gratiarum actiones in Domino,(vulgate) כִּי־עֲבֹדַת הַצְּדָקָה הַזֹּאת לֹא לְבַד מַחְסוֹר הַקְּדוֹשִׁים תְּמַלֵּא כִּי אִם־גַּם־תִּפְתַּח פִּי רַבִּים לְהוֹדוֹת לַאלֹהִים׃ יב Corinthians2 2Co 9:12 Denn die Handreichung dieser Steuer erfüllt nicht allein den Mangel der Heiligen, sondern ist auch überschwenglich darin, daß viele Gott danken für diesen unsern treuen Dienst(dhs) 2Co 9:12 For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God,(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 9:13 ============ 2Co 9:13 Because of the proof given by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedience to your confession of the gospel of Christ and for the liberality of your contribution to them and to all,(nas) 2Co 9:13 διὰ τῆς δοκιμῆς τῆς διακονίας ταύτης δοξάζοντες τὸν θεὸν ἐπὶ τῇ ὑποταγῇ τῆς ὁμολογίας ὑμῶν εἰς τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τοῦ χριστοῦ καὶ ἁπλότητι τῆς κοινωνίας εἰς αὐτοὺς καὶ εἰς πάντας, (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 9:13 per probationem ministerii hujus, glorificantes Deum in obedientia confessionis vestræ, in Evangelium Christi, et simplicitate communicationis in illos, et in omnes,(vulgate) וּבְמַעֲשֶׂה הַצְּדָקָה הַזֹּאת יִתְּנוּ לֵאלֹהִים כָּבוֹד עַל־אֲשֶׁר נִכְנַע לִבְּכֶם לְקַבֵּל עֲלֵיכֶם בְּשׁרַת הַמָּשִׁיחַ וְעַל־נִדְבַת יֶדְכֶם לְאוֹת אַחֲוָה לָהֶם וּלְכָל־אֶבְיוֹנֵי אָדָם׃ יג Corinthians2 2Co 9:13 und preisen Gott über euer untertäniges Bekenntnis des Evangeliums Christi und über eure einfältige Steuer an sie und an alle,(dhs) 2Co 9:13 while, through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men,(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 9:14 ============ 2Co 9:14 while they also, by prayer on your behalf, yearn for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.(nas) 2Co 9:14 καὶ αὐτῶν δεήσει ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν ἐπιποθούντων ὑμᾶς διὰ τὴν ὑπερβάλλουσαν χάριν τοῦ θεοῦ ἐφ᾽ ὑμῖν. (Nestle-Aland) 2Co 9:14 et in ipsorum obsecratione pro vobis, desiderantium vos propter eminentem gratiam Dei in vobis.(vulgate) וְהֵם יִתְפַּלְלוּ בַעַדְכֶם כִּי נַפְשָׁם דָּבְקָה בְנַפְשְׁכֶם בַּעֲבוּר חֶסֶד אֵל אֲשֶׁר גָּבַר עֲלֵיכֶם׃ יד Corinthians2 2Co 9:14 indem auch sie nach euch verlangt im Gebet für euch um der überschwenglichen Gnade Gottes willen in euch.(dhs) 2Co 9:14 and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you.(nkjv) ======= 2 Corinthians 9:15 ============ 2Co 9:15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!(nas) 2Co 9:15 χάρις τῶ θεῶ ἐπὶ τῇ ἀνεκδιηγήτῳ αὐτοῦ δωρεᾷ.
