Today's Date: ======= Ezekiel 20:1 ============ Eze 20:1 And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to enquire of the LORD, and sat before me.(KJV) Ezekiel 20:1 And in the seuenth yeere, in the fift moneth, the tenth day of the moneth, came certaine of the elders of Israel to enquire of the Lord, and sate before me.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:1 La septième année, le dixième jour du cinquième mois, quelques-uns des anciens d'Israël vinrent pour consulter l'Eternel, et s'assirent devant moi.(FR) 1 ׃20 וַיְהִ֣י ׀ בַּשָּׁנָ֣ה הַשְּׁבִיעִ֗ית בַּֽחֲמִשִׁי֙ בֶּעָשׂ֣וֹר לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ בָּ֧אוּ אֲנָשִׁ֛ים מִזִּקְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לִדְרֹ֣שׁ אֶת־יְהוָ֑ה וַיֵּשְׁב֖וּ לְפָנָֽי׃ ס Ezekiel Eze 20:1 Now in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth of the month, certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of the Lord, and sat before me. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:2 ============ Eze 20:2 Then came the word of the LORD unto me, saying,(KJV) Ezekiel 20:2 Then came the worde of the Lorde vnto me, saying,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:2 Et la parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(FR) 2 ׃20 וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:2 And the word of the Lord came to me saying, (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:3 ============ Eze 20:3 Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye come to enquire of me? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you.(KJV) Ezekiel 20:3 Sonne of man, speake vnto the Elders of Israel, and say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, Are ye come to enquire of me? As I liue, sayth the Lord God, when I am asked, I wil not answer you.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:3 Fils de l'homme, parle aux anciens d'Israël, et dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Est-ce pour me consulter que vous êtes venus? Je suis vivant! je ne me laisserai pas consulter par vous, dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.(FR) 3 ׃20 בֶּן־אָדָ֗ם דַּבֵּ֞ר אֶת־זִקְנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵהֶ֗ם כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה הֲלִדְרֹ֥שׁ אֹתִ֖י אַתֶּ֣ם בָּאִ֑ים חַי־אָ֙נִי֙ אִם־אִדָּרֵ֣שׁ לָכֶ֔ם נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:3 "Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God, "Do you come to inquire of Me? As I live," declares the Lord God, "I will not be inquired of by you."'(nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:4 ============ Eze 20:4 Wilt thou judge them, son of man, wilt thou judge them? cause them to know the abominations of their fathers:(KJV) Ezekiel 20:4 Wilt thou iudge them, sonne of man? Wilt thou iudge them? cause them to vnderstand the abominations of their fathers,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:4 Veux-tu les juger, veux-tu les juger, fils de l'homme? Fais-leur connaître les abominations de leurs pères!(FR) 4 ׃20 הֲתִשְׁפֹּ֣ט אֹתָ֔ם הֲתִשְׁפּ֖וֹט בֶּן־אָדָ֑ם אֶת־תּוֹעֲבֹ֥ת אֲבוֹתָ֖ם הוֹדִיעֵֽם׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:4 Will you judge them, will you judge them, son of man? Make them know the abominations of their fathers; (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:5 ============ Eze 20:5 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I am the LORD your God;(KJV) Ezekiel 20:5 And say vnto them, Thus saith the Lorde God, In the day when I chose Israel, and lift vp mine hand vnto the seede of the house of Iaakob, and made my selfe knowen vnto them in the land of Egypt, when I lift vp mine hand vnto them, and sayd, I am the Lord your God,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:5 Tu leur diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Le jour où j'ai choisi Israël, j'ai levé ma main vers la postérité de la maison de Jacob, et je me suis fait connaître à eux dans le pays d'Egypte; j'ai levé ma main vers eux, en disant: Je suis l'Eternel, votre Dieu.(FR) 5 ׃20 וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם כֹּֽה־אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒ בְּיוֹם֙ בָּחֳרִ֣י בְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וָאֶשָּׂ֣א יָדִ֗י לְזֶ֙רַע֙ בֵּ֣ית יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב וָאִוָּדַ֥ע לָהֶ֖ם בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וָאֶשָּׂ֨א יָדִ֤י לָהֶם֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר אֲנִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:5 and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God, "On the day when I chose Israel and swore to the descendants of the house of Jacob and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, I am the Lord your God, (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:6 ============ Eze 20:6 In the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands:(KJV) Ezekiel 20:6 In the day that I lift vp mine hand vnto them to bring them forth of the land of Egypt, into a land that I had prouided for them, flowing with milke & hony which is pleasant among all lands,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:6 En ce jour-là, j'ai levé ma main vers eux, pour les faire passer du pays d'Egypte dans un pays que j'avais cherché pour eux, pays où coulent le lait et le miel, le plus beau de tous les pays.(FR) 6 ׃20 בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא נָשָׂ֤אתִי יָדִי֙ לָהֶ֔ם לְהֽוֹצִיאָ֖ם מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם אֶל־אֶ֜רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־תַּ֣רְתִּי לָהֶ֗ם זָבַ֤ת חָלָב֙ וּדְבַ֔שׁ צְבִ֥י הִ֖יא לְכָל־הָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:6 on that day I swore to them, to bring them out from the land of Egypt into a land that I had selected for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:7 ============ Eze 20:7 Then said I unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.(KJV) Ezekiel 20:7 Then sayd I vnto them, Let euery man cast away the abominations of his eyes, and defile not your selues with the idols of Egypt: for I am the Lord your God.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:7 Je leur dis: Rejetez chacun les abominations qui attirent vos regards, et ne vous souillez pas par les idoles de l'Egypte! Je suis l'Eternel, votre Dieu.(FR) 7 ׃20 וָאֹמַ֣ר אֲלֵהֶ֗ם אִ֣ישׁ שִׁקּוּצֵ֤י עֵינָיו֙ הַשְׁלִ֔יכוּ וּבְגִלּוּלֵ֥י מִצְרַ֖יִם אַל־תִּטַּמָּ֑אוּ אֲנִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:7 I said to them, 'Cast away, each of you, the detestable things of his eyes, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.'(nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:8 ============ Eze 20:8 But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.(KJV) Ezekiel 20:8 But they rebelled against me, & would not heare me: for none cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idoles of Egypt: then I thought to powre out mine indignation vpon them, & to accomplish my wrath against them in the mids of the land of Egypt.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:8 Et ils se révoltèrent contre moi, et ils ne voulurent pas m'écouter. Aucun ne rejeta les abominations qui attiraient ses regards, et ils n'abandonnèrent point les idoles de l'Egypte. J'eus la pensée de répandre ma fureur sur eux, d'épuiser contre eux ma colère, au milieu du pays d'Egypte.(FR) 8 ׃20 וַיַּמְרוּ־בִ֗י וְלֹ֤א אָבוּ֙ לִשְׁמֹ֣עַ אֵלַ֔י אִ֣ישׁ אֶת־שִׁקּוּצֵ֤י עֵֽינֵיהֶם֙ לֹ֣א הִשְׁלִ֔יכוּ וְאֶת־גִּלּוּלֵ֥י מִצְרַ֖יִם לֹ֣א עָזָ֑בוּ וָאֹמַ֞ר לִשְׁפֹּ֧ךְ חֲמָתִ֣י עֲלֵיהֶ֗ם לְכַלּ֤וֹת אַפִּי֙ בָּהֶ֔ם בְּת֖וֹךְ אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:8 But they rebelled against Me and were not willing to listen to Me; they did not cast away the detestable things of their eyes, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I resolved to pour out My wrath on them, to accomplish My anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:9 ============ Eze 20:9 But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.(KJV) Ezekiel 20:9 But I had respect to my Name, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whome they were, & in whose sight I made my selfe knowen vnto them in bringing them forth of the land of Egypt.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:9 Néanmoins j'ai agi par égard pour mon nom, afin qu'il ne soit pas profané aux yeux des nations parmi lesquelles ils se trouvaient, et aux yeux desquelles je m'étais fait connaître à eux, pour les faire sortir du pays d'Egypte.(FR) 9 ׃20 וָאַ֙עַשׂ֙ לְמַ֣עַן שְׁמִ֔י לְבִלְתִּ֥י הֵחֵ֛ל לְעֵינֵ֥י הַגּוֹיִ֖ם אֲשֶׁר־הֵ֣מָּה בְתוֹכָ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֨ר נוֹדַ֤עְתִּי אֲלֵיהֶם֙ לְעֵ֣ינֵיהֶ֔ם לְהוֹצִיאָ֖ם מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:9 But I acted for the sake of My name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among whom they lived, in whose sight I made Myself known to them by bringing them out of the land of Egypt. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:10 ============ Eze 20:10 Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.(KJV) Ezekiel 20:10 Nowe I caried them out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wildernes.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:10 Et je les fis sortir du pays d'Egypte, et je les conduisis dans le désert.(FR) 10 ׃20 וָאֽוֹצִיאֵ֖ם מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וָאֲבִאֵ֖ם אֶל־הַמִּדְבָּֽר׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:10 So I took them out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:11 ============ Eze 20:11 And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.(KJV) Ezekiel 20:11 And I gaue them my statutes, and declared my iudgements vnto them, which if a man doe, he shall liue in them.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:11 Je leur donnai mes lois et leur fis connaître mes ordonnances, que l'homme doit mettre en pratique, afin de vivre par elles.(FR) 11 ׃20 וָאֶתֵּ֤ן לָהֶם֙ אֶת־חֻקּוֹתַ֔י וְאֶת־מִשְׁפָּטַ֖י הוֹדַ֣עְתִּי אוֹתָ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֨ר יַעֲשֶׂ֥ה אוֹתָ֛ם הָאָדָ֖ם וָחַ֥י בָּהֶֽם׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:11 I gave them My statutes and informed them of My ordinances, by which, if a man observes them, he will live. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:12 ============ Eze 20:12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.(KJV) Ezekiel 20:12 Moreouer I gaue them also my Sabbaths to be a signe betwene me & them, that they might knowe that I am the Lord, that sanctifie them.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:12 Je leur donnai aussi mes sabbats comme un signe entre moi et eux, pour qu'ils connussent que je suis l'Eternel qui les sanctifie.(FR) 12 ׃20 וְגַ֤ם אֶת־שַׁבְּתוֹתַי֙ נָתַ֣תִּי לָהֶ֔ם לִהְי֣וֹת לְא֔וֹת בֵּינִ֖י וּבֵֽינֵיהֶ֑ם לָדַ֕עַת כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה מְקַדְּשָֽׁם׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:12 Also I gave them My sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:13 ============ Eze 20:13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.(KJV) Ezekiel 20:13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wildernes: they walked not in my statutes, and they cast away my iudgements, which if a man doe, he shall liue in them, and my Sabbaths haue they greatly polluted: then I thought to powre out mine indignation vpon them in the wildernes to consume them,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:13 Et la maison d'Israël se révolta contre moi dans le désert. J'eus la pensée de répandre sur eux ma fureur dans le désert, pour les anéantir.(FR) 13 ׃20 וַיַּמְרוּ־בִ֨י בֵֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל בַּמִּדְבָּ֗ר בְּחֻקּוֹתַ֨י לֹא־הָלָ֜כוּ וְאֶת־מִשְׁפָּטַ֣י מָאָ֗סוּ אֲשֶׁר֩ יַעֲשֶׂ֨ה אֹתָ֤ם הָֽאָדָם֙ וָחַ֣י בָּהֶ֔ם וְאֶת־שַׁבְּתֹתַ֖י חִלְּל֣וּ מְאֹ֑ד וָאֹמַ֞ר לִשְׁפֹּ֨ךְ חֲמָתִ֧י עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם בַּמִּדְבָּ֖ר לְכַלּוֹתָֽם׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:13 But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes and they rejected My ordinances, by which, if a man observes them, he will live; and My sabbaths they greatly profaned. Then I resolved to pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to annihilate them. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:15 ============ Eze 20:15 Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;(KJV) Ezekiel 20:15 Yet neuerthelesse, I lift vp mine hande vnto them in the wildernes that I would not bring them into the lande, which I had giuen them, flowing with milke and hony, which was pleasant aboue all landes,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:15 Dans le désert, je levai ma main vers eux, pour ne pas les conduire dans le pays que je leur avais destiné, pays où coulent le lait et le miel, le plus beau de tous les pays,(FR) 15 ׃20 וְגַם־אֲנִ֗י נָשָׂ֧אתִי יָדִ֛י לָהֶ֖ם בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר לְבִלְתִּי֩ הָבִ֨יא אוֹתָ֜ם אֶל־הָאָ֣רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־נָתַ֗תִּי זָבַ֤ת חָלָב֙ וּדְבַ֔שׁ צְבִ֥י הִ֖יא לְכָל־הָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:15 Also I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands, (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:16 ============ Eze 20:16 Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.(KJV) Ezekiel 20:16 Because they cast away my iudgments, and walked not in my statutes, but haue polluted my Sabbaths: for their heart went after their idoles.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:16 et cela parce qu'ils rejetèrent mes ordonnances et ne suivirent point mes lois, et parce qu'ils profanèrent mes sabbats, car leur coeur ne s'éloigna pas de leurs idoles.(FR) 16 ׃20 יַ֜עַן בְּמִשְׁפָּטַ֣י מָאָ֗סוּ וְאֶת־חֻקּוֹתַי֙ לֹא־הָלְכ֣וּ בָהֶ֔ם וְאֶת־שַׁבְּתוֹתַ֖י חִלֵּ֑לוּ כִּ֛י אַחֲרֵ֥י גִלּוּלֵיהֶ֖ם לִבָּ֥ם הֹלֵֽךְ׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:16 because they rejected My ordinances, and as for My statutes, they did not walk in them; they even profaned My sabbaths, for their heart continually went after their idols. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:17 ============ Eze 20:17 Nevertheless mine eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness.(KJV) Ezekiel 20:17 Neuerthelesse, mine eye spared them, that I would not destroye them, neither would I consume them in the wildernes.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:17 Mais j'eus pour eux un regard de pitié et je ne les détruisis pas, je ne les exterminai pas dans le désert.(FR) 17 ׃20 וַתָּ֧חָס עֵינִ֛י עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם מִֽשַּׁחֲתָ֑ם וְלֹֽא־עָשִׂ֧יתִי אוֹתָ֛ם כָּלָ֖ה בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:17 Yet My eye spared them rather than destroying them, and I did not cause their annihilation in the wilderness. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:18 ============ Eze 20:18 But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:(KJV) Ezekiel 20:18 But I said vnto their children in the wildernes, Walke ye not in the ordinances of your fathers, neither obserue their maners, nor defile your selues with their idoles.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:18 Je dis à leurs fils dans le désert: Ne suivez pas les préceptes de vos pères, n'observez pas leurs coutumes, et ne vous souillez pas par leurs idoles!(FR) 18 ׃20 וָאֹמַ֤ר אֶל־בְּנֵיהֶם֙ בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר בְּחוּקֵּ֤י אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ אַל־תֵּלֵ֔כוּ וְאֶת־מִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶ֖ם אַל־תִּשְׁמֹ֑רוּ וּבְגִלּוּלֵיהֶ֖ם אַל־תִּטַּמָּֽאוּ׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:18 "I said to their children in the wilderness, 'Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers or keep their ordinances or defile yourselves with their idols. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 20:19 ============ Eze 20:19 I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;(KJV) Ezekiel 20:19 I am the Lord your God: walke in my statutes, and keepe my iudgements and doe them,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 20:19 Je suis l'Eternel, votre Dieu. Suivez mes préceptes, observez mes ordonnances, et mettez-les en pratique.(FR) 19 ׃20 אֲנִי֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֔ם בְּחֻקּוֹתַ֖י לֵ֑כוּ וְאֶת־מִשְׁפָּטַ֥י שִׁמְר֖וּ וַעֲשׂ֥וּ אוֹתָֽם׃ Ezekiel Eze 20:19 I am the Lord your God; walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances and observe them. So I resolved to pour out My wrath on them, to accomplish My anger against them in the wilderness.
