(nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:4 ============ Eze 16:4 And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.(KJV) Ezekiel 16:4 And in thy natiuitie whe thou wast borne, thy nauell was not cut: thou wast not washed in water to soften thee: thou wast not salted with salt, nor swadled in cloutes.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:4 A ta naissance, au jour où tu naquis, ton nombril n'a pas été coupé, tu n'as pas été lavée dans l'eau pour être purifiée, tu n'as pas été frottée avec du sel, tu n'as pas été enveloppée dans des langes.(FR) 4 ׃16 וּמוֹלְדוֹתַ֗יִךְ בְּי֨וֹם הוּלֶּ֤דֶת אֹתָךְ֙ לֹֽא־כָרַּ֣ת שָׁרֵּ֔ךְ וּבְמַ֥יִם לֹֽא־רֻחַ֖צְתְּ לְמִשְׁעִ֑י וְהָמְלֵ֙חַ֙ לֹ֣א הֻמְלַ֔חַתְּ וְהָחְתֵּ֖ל לֹ֥א חֻתָּֽלְתְּ׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:4 As for your birth, on the day you were born your navel cord was not cut, nor were you washed with water for cleansing; you were not rubbed with salt or even wrapped in cloths. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:5 ============ Eze 16:5 None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.(KJV) Ezekiel 16:5 None eye pitied thee to do any of these vnto thee, for to haue compassion vpon thee, but thou wast cast out in the open fielde to the contempt of thy person in ye day that thou wast borne.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:5 Nul n'a porté sur toi un regard de pitié pour te faire une seule de ces choses, par compassion pour toi; mais tu as été jetée dans les champs, le jour de ta naissance, parce qu'on avait horreur de toi.(FR) 5 ׃16 לֹא־חָ֨סָה עָלַ֜יִךְ עַ֗יִן לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת לָ֛ךְ אַחַ֥ת מֵאֵ֖לֶּה לְחֻמְלָ֣ה עָלָ֑יִךְ וַֽתֻּשְׁלְכִ֞י אֶל־פְּנֵ֤י הַשָּׂדֶה֙ בְּגֹ֣עַל נַפְשֵׁ֔ךְ בְּי֖וֹם הֻלֶּ֥דֶת אֹתָֽךְ׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:5 No eye looked with pity on you to do any of these things for you, to have compassion on you. Rather you were thrown out into the open field, for you were abhorred on the day you were born. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:6 ============ Eze 16:6 And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.(KJV) Ezekiel 16:6 And when I passed by thee, I saw thee polluted in thine owne blood, and I said vnto thee, whe thou wast in thy blood, Thou shalt liue: euen when thou wast in thy blood, I saide vnto thee, Thou shalt liue.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:6 Je passai près de toi, je t'aperçus baignée dans ton sang, et je te dis: Vis dans ton sang! je te dis: Vis dans ton sang!(FR) 6 ׃16 וָאֶעֱבֹ֤ר עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ וָֽאֶרְאֵ֔ךְ מִתְבּוֹסֶ֖סֶת בְּדָמָ֑יִךְ וָאֹ֤מַר לָךְ֙ בְּדָמַ֣יִךְ חֲיִ֔י וָאֹ֥מַר לָ֖ךְ בְּדָמַ֥יִךְ חֲיִֽי׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:6 "When I passed by you and saw you squirming in your blood, I said to you while you were in your blood, 'Live! 'Yes, I said to you while you were in your blood, 'Live!'(nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:7 ============ Eze 16:7 I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare.(KJV) Ezekiel 16:7 I haue caused thee to multiplie as the bud of the fielde, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou hast gotten excellent ornaments: thy breastes are facioned, thine heare is growen, where as thou wast naked and bare.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:7 Je t'ai multipliée par dix milliers, comme les herbes des champs. Et tu pris de l'accroissement, tu grandis, tu devins d'une beauté parfaite; tes seins se formèrent, ta chevelure se développa. Mais tu étais nue, entièrement nue.(FR) 7 ׃16 רְבָבָ֗ה כְּצֶ֤מַח הַשָּׂדֶה֙ נְתַתִּ֔יךְ וַתִּרְבִּי֙ וַֽתִּגְדְּלִ֔י וַתָּבֹ֖אִי בַּעֲדִ֣י עֲדָיִ֑ים שָׁדַ֤יִם נָכֹ֙נוּ֙ וּשְׂעָרֵ֣ךְ צִמֵּ֔חַ וְאַ֖תְּ עֵרֹ֥ם וְעֶרְיָֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:7 I made you numerous like plants of the field. Then you grew up, became tall and reached the age for fine ornaments; your breasts were formed and your hair had grown. Yet you were naked and bare. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:8 ============ Eze 16:8 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.(KJV) Ezekiel 16:8 Nowe when I passed by thee, and looked vpon thee, beholde, thy time was as the time of loue, and I spred my skirtes ouer thee, and couered thy filthines: yea, I sware vnto thee, and entred into a couenant with thee, saith the Lorde God, and thou becamest mine.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:8 Je passai près de toi, je te regardai, et voici, ton temps était là, le temps des amours. J'étendis sur toi le pan de ma robe, je couvris ta nudité, je te jurai fidélité, je fis alliance avec toi, dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel, et tu fus à moi.(FR) 8 ׃16 וָאֶעֱבֹ֨ר עָלַ֜יִךְ וָאֶרְאֵ֗ךְ וְהִנֵּ֤ה עִתֵּךְ֙ עֵ֣ת דֹּדִ֔ים וָאֶפְרֹ֤שׂ כְּנָפִי֙ עָלַ֔יִךְ וָאֲכַסֶּ֖ה עֶרְוָתֵ֑ךְ וָאֶשָּׁ֣בַֽע לָ֠ךְ וָאָב֨וֹא בִבְרִ֜ית אֹתָ֗ךְ נְאֻ֛ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִ֖ה וַתִּ֥הְיִי לִֽי׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:8 "Then I passed by you and saw you, and behold, you were at the time for love; so I spread My skirt over you and covered your nakedness. I also swore to you and entered into a covenant with you so that you became Mine," declares the Lord God. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:10 ============ Eze 16:10 I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.(KJV) Ezekiel 16:10 I clothed thee also with broydred worke, and shod thee with badgers skin: and I girded thee about with fine linen, & I couered thee with silke.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:10 Je te donnai des vêtements brodés, et une chaussure de peaux teintes en bleu; je te ceignis de fin lin, et je te couvris de soie.(FR) 10 ׃16 וָאַלְבִּישֵׁ֣ךְ רִקְמָ֔ה וָאֶנְעֲלֵ֖ךְ תָּ֑חַשׁ וָאֶחְבְּשֵׁ֣ךְ בַּשֵּׁ֔שׁ וַאֲכַסֵּ֖ךְ מֶֽשִׁי׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:10 I also clothed you with embroidered cloth and put sandals of porpoise skin on your feet; and I wrapped you with fine linen and covered you with silk. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:11 ============ Eze 16:11 I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.(KJV) Ezekiel 16:11 I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets vpon thine handes, and a chaine on thy necke.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:11 Je te parai d'ornements: je mis des bracelets à tes mains, un collier à ton cou,(FR) 11 ׃16 וָאֶעְדֵּ֖ךְ עֶ֑דִי וָאֶתְּנָ֤ה צְמִידִים֙ עַל־יָדַ֔יִךְ וְרָבִ֖יד עַל־גְּרוֹנֵֽךְ׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:11 I adorned you with ornaments, put bracelets on your hands and a necklace around your neck. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:12 ============ Eze 16:12 And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.(KJV) Ezekiel 16:12 And I put a frontlet vpon thy face, and earings in thine eares, and a beautifull crowne vpon thine head.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:12 je mis un anneau à ton nez, des pendants à tes oreilles, et une couronne magnifique sur ta tête.(FR) 12 ׃16 וָאֶתֵּ֥ן נֶ֙זֶם֙ עַל־אַפֵּ֔ךְ וַעֲגִילִ֖ים עַל־אָזְנָ֑יִךְ וַעֲטֶ֥רֶת תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת בְּרֹאשֵֽׁךְ׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:12 I also put a ring in your nostril, earrings in your ears and a beautiful crown on your head. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:13 ============ Eze 16:13 Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.(KJV) Ezekiel 16:13 Thus wast thou deckt with gold and siluer, and thy rayment was of fine linen, and silke, and broydred worke: thou didest eate fine floure, and honie and oyle, and thou wast very beautifull, and thou didest grow vp into a kingdome.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:13 Ainsi tu fus parée d'or et d'argent, et tu fus vêtue de fin lin, de soie et d'étoffes brodées. Tu étais d'une beauté accomplie, digne de la royauté.(FR) 13 ׃16 וַתַּעְדִּ֞י זָהָ֣ב וָכֶ֗סֶף וּמַלְבּוּשֵׁךְ֙ *ששי **שֵׁ֤שׁ וָמֶ֙שִׁי֙ וְרִקְמָ֔ה סֹ֧לֶת וּדְבַ֛שׁ וָשֶׁ֖מֶן *אכלתי **אָכָ֑לְתְּ וַתִּ֙יפִי֙ בִּמְאֹ֣ד מְאֹ֔ד וַֽתִּצְלְחִ֖י לִמְלוּכָֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:13 Thus you were adorned with gold and silver, and your dress was of fine linen, silk and embroidered cloth. You ate fine flour, honey and oil; so you were exceedingly beautiful and advanced to royalty. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:14 ============ Eze 16:14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.(KJV) Ezekiel 16:14 And thy name was spred among the heathen for thy beautie: for it was perfite through my beautie which I had set vpon thee, saith the Lord God.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:14 Et ta renommée se répandit parmi les nations, à cause de ta beauté; car elle était parfaite, grâce à l'éclat dont je t'avais ornée, dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.(FR) 14 ׃16 וַיֵּ֨צֵא לָ֥ךְ שֵׁ֛ם בַּגּוֹיִ֖ם בְּיָפְיֵ֑ךְ כִּ֣י ׀ כָּלִ֣יל ה֗וּא בַּֽהֲדָרִי֙ אֲשֶׁר־שַׂ֣מְתִּי עָלַ֔יִךְ נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:14 Then your fame went forth among the nations on account of your beauty, for it was perfect because of My splendor which I bestowed on you," declares the Lord God. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:15 ============ Eze 16:15 But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.(KJV) Ezekiel 16:15 Nowe thou didest trust in thine owne beautie, and playedst the harlot, because of thy renowme, and hast powred out thy fornications on euery one that passed by, thy desire was to him.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:15 Mais tu t'es confiée dans ta beauté, et tu t'es prostituée, à la faveur de ton nom; tu as prodigué tes prostitutions à tous les passants, tu t'es livrée à eux.(FR) 15 ׃16 וַתִּבְטְחִ֣י בְיָפְיֵ֔ךְ וַתִּזְנִ֖י עַל־שְׁמֵ֑ךְ וַתִּשְׁפְּכִ֧י אֶת־תַּזְנוּתַ֛יִךְ עַל־כָּל־עוֹבֵ֖ר לוֹ־יֶֽהִי׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:15 "But you trusted in your beauty and played the harlot because of your fame, and you poured out your harlotries on every passer-by who might be willing. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:16 ============ Eze 16:16 And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.(KJV) Ezekiel 16:16 And thou didest take thy garments, & deckedst thine hie places with diuers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like thinges shall not come, neither hath any done so.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:16 Tu as pris de tes vêtements, tu t'es fait des hauts lieux que tu as garnis d'étoffes de toutes couleurs, et tu t'y es prostituée: rien de semblable n'était arrivé et n'arrivera jamais.(FR) 16 ׃16 וַתִּקְחִ֣י מִבְּגָדַ֗יִךְ וַתַּֽעֲשִׂי־לָךְ֙ בָּמ֣וֹת טְלֻא֔וֹת וַתִּזְנִ֖י עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם לֹ֥א בָא֖וֹת וְלֹ֥א יִהְיֶֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:16 You took some of your clothes, made for yourself high places of various colors and played the harlot on them, which should never come about nor happen. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:17 ============ Eze 16:17 Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them,(KJV) Ezekiel 16:17 Thou hast also taken thy faire iewels made of my golde and of my siluer, which I had giuen thee, and madest to thy selfe images of men, and didest commit whoredome with them,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:17 Tu as pris ta magnifique parure d'or et d'argent, que je t'avais donnée, et tu en as fait des simulacres d'hommes, auxquels tu t'es prostituée.(FR) 17 ׃16 וַתִּקְחִ֞י כְּלֵ֣י תִפְאַרְתֵּ֗ךְ מִזְּהָבִ֤י וּמִכַּסְפִּי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נָתַ֣תִּי לָ֔ךְ וַתַּעֲשִׂי־לָ֖ךְ צַלְמֵ֣י זָכָ֑ר וַתִּזְנִי־בָֽם׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:17 You also took your beautiful jewels made of My gold and of My silver, which I had given you, and made for yourself male images that you might play the harlot with them. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:18 ============ Eze 16:18 And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.(KJV) Ezekiel 16:18 And tookest thy broydred garments, and coueredst them: and thou hast set mine oyle and my perfume before them.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:18 Tu as pris tes vêtements brodés, tu les en as couverts, et tu as offert à ces simulacres mon huile et mon encens.(FR) 18 ׃16 וַתִּקְחִ֛י אֶת־בִּגְדֵ֥י רִקְמָתֵ֖ךְ וַתְּכַסִּ֑ים וְשַׁמְנִי֙ וּקְטָרְתִּ֔י *נתתי **נָתַ֖תְּ לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:18 Then you took your embroidered cloth and covered them, and offered My oil and My incense before them. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:19 ============ Eze 16:19 My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD.(KJV) Ezekiel 16:19 My meate also, which I gaue thee, as fine floure, oyle, and honie, wherewith I fedde thee, thou hast euen set it before them for a sweete sauour: thus it was, saith the Lord God.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:19 Le pain que je t'avais donné, la fleur de farine, l'huile et le miel, dont je te nourrissais, tu leur as offert ces choses comme des parfums d'une odeur agréable. Voilà ce qui est arrivé, dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.(FR) 19 ׃16 וְלַחְמִי֩ אֲשֶׁר־נָתַ֨תִּי לָ֜ךְ סֹ֣לֶת וָשֶׁ֤מֶן וּדְבַשׁ֙ הֶֽאֱכַלְתִּ֔יךְ וּנְתַתִּ֧יהוּ לִפְנֵיהֶ֛ם לְרֵ֥יחַ נִיחֹ֖חַ וַיֶּ֑הִי נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:19 Also My bread which I gave you, fine flour, oil and honey with which I fed you, you would offer before them for a soothing aroma; so it happened," declares the Lord God. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:20 ============ Eze 16:20 Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter,(KJV) Ezekiel 16:20 Moreouer thou hast taken thy sonnes and thy daughters, whome thou hast borne vnto me, and these hast thou sacrificed vnto them, to be deuoured: is this thy whoredome a small matter?(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:20 Tu as pris tes fils et tes filles, que tu m'avais enfantés, et tu les leur as sacrifiés pour qu'ils leur servent d'aliment: n'était-ce pas assez de tes prostitutions?(FR) 20 ׃16 וַתִּקְחִ֞י אֶת־בָּנַ֤יִךְ וְאֶת־בְּנוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יָלַ֣דְתְּ לִ֔י וַתִּזְבָּחִ֥ים לָהֶ֖ם לֶאֱכ֑וֹל הַמְעַ֖ט *מתזנתך **מִתַּזְנוּתָֽיִךְ׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:20 "Moreover, you took your sons and daughters whom you had borne to Me and sacrificed them to idols to be devoured. Were your harlotries so small a matter? (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 16:21 ============ Eze 16:21 That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?(KJV) Ezekiel 16:21 That thou hast slaine my children, and deliuered them to cause them to passe through fire for them?(Geneva) Ézéchiel 16:21 Tu as égorgé mes fils, et tu les as donnés, en les faisant passer par le feu en leur honneur.(FR) 21 ׃16 וַֽתִּשְׁחֲטִ֖י אֶת־בָּנָ֑י וַֽתִּתְּנִ֔ים בְּהַעֲבִ֥יר אוֹתָ֖ם לָהֶֽם׃ Ezekiel Eze 16:21 You slaughtered My children and offered them up to idols by causing them to pass through the fire.
