(nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:2 ============ Eze 14:2 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,(KJV) Ezekiel 14:2 And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:2 Et la parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(FR) 2 ׃14 וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:2 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:3 ============ Eze 14:3 Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them?(KJV) Ezekiel 14:3 Sonne of man, these men haue set vp their idoles in their heart, and put the stumbling blocke of their iniquitie before their face: should I, being required, answere them?(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:3 Fils de l'homme, ces gens-là portent leurs idoles dans leur coeur, et ils attachent les regards sur ce qui les a fait tomber dans l'iniquité. Me laisserai-je consulter par eux?(FR) 3 ׃14 בֶּן־אָדָ֗ם הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ הֶעֱל֤וּ גִלּֽוּלֵיהֶם֙ עַל־לִבָּ֔ם וּמִכְשׁ֣וֹל עֲוֺנָ֔ם נָתְנ֖וּ נֹ֣כַח פְּנֵיהֶ֑ם הַאִדָּרֹ֥שׁ אִדָּרֵ֖שׁ לָהֶֽם׃ ס Ezekiel Eze 14:3 "Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts and have put right before their faces the stumbling block of their iniquity. Should I be consulted by them at all? (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:4 ============ Eze 14:4 Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;(KJV) Ezekiel 14:4 Therefore speake vnto them, and say vnto them, Thus saith the Lorde God, Euery man of the house of Israel that setteth vp his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling blocke of his iniquitie before his face, and commeth to the Prophet, I the Lorde will answere him that commeth, according to the multitude of his idoles:(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:4 C'est pourquoi parle-leur, et dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Tout homme de la maison d'Israël qui porte ses idoles dans son coeur, et qui attache les regards sur ce qui l'a fait tomber dans son iniquité, -s'il vient s'adresser au prophète, -moi, l'Eternel, je lui répondrai, malgré la multitude de ses idoles,(FR) 4 ׃14 לָכֵ֣ן דַּבֵּר־א֠וֹתָם וְאָמַרְתָּ֨ אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם כֹּה־אָמַ֣ר ׀ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֗ה אִ֣ישׁ אִ֣ישׁ מִבֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֡ל אֲשֶׁר֩ יַעֲלֶ֨ה אֶת־גִּלּוּלָ֜יו אֶל־לִבּ֗וֹ וּמִכְשׁ֤וֹל עֲוֺנוֹ֙ יָשִׂים֙ נֹ֣כַח פָּנָ֔יו וּבָ֖א אֶל־הַנָּבִ֑יא אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֗ה נַעֲנֵ֧יתִי ל֦וֹ *בה **בָ֖א בְּרֹ֥ב גִּלּוּלָֽיו׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:4 Therefore speak to them and tell them, 'Thus says the Lord God, "Any man of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, puts right before his face the stumbling block of his iniquity, and then comes to the prophet, I the Lord will be brought to give him an answer in the matter in view of the multitude of his idols, (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:5 ============ Eze 14:5 That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.(KJV) Ezekiel 14:5 That I may take the house of Israel in their owne heart, because they are all departed from me through their idoles.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:5 afin de saisir dans leur propre coeur ceux de la maison d'Israël qui se sont éloignés de moi avec toutes leurs idoles.(FR) 5 ׃14 לְמַ֛עַן תְּפֹ֥שׂ אֶת־בֵּֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּלִבָּ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָזֹ֙רוּ֙ מֵֽעָלַ֔י בְּגִלּֽוּלֵיהֶ֖ם כֻּלָּֽם׃ ס Ezekiel Eze 14:5 in order to lay hold of the hearts of the house of Israel who are estranged from Me through all their idols."'(nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:6 ============ Eze 14:6 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.(KJV) Ezekiel 14:6 Therfore say vnto the house of Israel, Thus sayth the Lord God, Returne, and withdraw your selues, and turne your faces from your idoles, and turne your faces from all your abominations.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:6 C'est pourquoi dis à la maison d'Israël: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Revenez, et détournez-vous de vos idoles, détournez les regards de toutes vos abominations!(FR) 6 ׃14 לָכֵ֞ן אֱמֹ֣ר ׀ אֶל־בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה שׁ֣וּבוּ וְהָשִׁ֔יבוּ מֵעַ֖ל גִּלּֽוּלֵיכֶ֑ם וּמֵעַ֥ל כָּל־תּוֹעֲבֹתֵיכֶ֖ם הָשִׁ֥יבוּ פְנֵיכֶֽם׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:6 "Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord God, "Repent and turn away from your idols and turn your faces away from all your abominations. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:7 ============ Eze 14:7 For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:(KJV) Ezekiel 14:7 For euery one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that soiourneth in Israel, which departeth from mee, and setteth vp his idoles in his heart, and putteth the stumbling blocke of his iniquitie before his face, and commeth to a Prophet, for to inquire of him for me, I the Lord will answere him for my selfe,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:7 Car tout homme de la maison d'Israël, ou des étrangers séjournant en Israël, qui s'est éloigné de moi, qui porte ses idoles dans son coeur, et qui attache les regards sur ce qui l'a fait tomber dans son iniquité, -s'il vient s'adresser au prophète pour me consulter par lui, -moi, l'Eternel, je lui répondrai par moi.(FR) 7 ׃14 כִּי֩ אִ֨ישׁ אִ֜ישׁ מִבֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וּמֵהַגֵּר֮ אֲשֶׁר־יָג֣וּר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל֒ וְיִנָּזֵ֣ר מֵֽאַחֲרַ֗י וְיַ֤עַל גִּלּוּלָיו֙ אֶל־לִבּ֔וֹ וּמִכְשׁ֣וֹל עֲוֺנ֔וֹ יָשִׂ֖ים נֹ֣כַח פָּנָ֑יו וּבָ֤א אֶל־הַנָּבִיא֙ לִדְרָשׁ־ל֣וֹ בִ֔י אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֔ה נַֽעֲנֶה־לּ֖וֹ בִּֽי׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:7 For anyone of the house of Israel or of the immigrants who stay in Israel who separates himself from Me, sets up his idols in his heart, puts right before his face the stumbling block of his iniquity, and then comes to the prophet to inquire of Me for himself, I the Lord will be brought to answer him in My own person. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:8 ============ Eze 14:8 And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.(KJV) Ezekiel 14:8 And I will set my face against that man, and will make him an example and prouerbe, and I will cut him off from the middes of my people, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lorde.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:8 Je tournerai ma face contre cet homme, je ferai de lui un signe et un sujet de sarcasme, et je l'exterminerai du milieu de mon peuple. Et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel.(FR) 8 ׃14 וְנָתַתִּ֨י פָנַ֜י בָּאִ֣ישׁ הַה֗וּא וַהֲשִֽׂמֹתִ֙יהוּ֙ לְא֣וֹת וְלִמְשָׁלִ֔ים וְהִכְרַתִּ֖יו מִתּ֣וֹךְ עַמִּ֑י וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּֽי־אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃ ס Ezekiel Eze 14:8 I will set My face against that man and make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from among My people. So you will know that I am the Lord. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:9 ============ Eze 14:9 And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.(KJV) Ezekiel 14:9 And if the Prophet be deceiued, when hee hath spoken a thing, I the Lorde haue deceiued that Prophet, and I will stretch out mine hande vpon him, and will destroy him from the middes of my people of Israel.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:9 Si le prophète se laisse séduire, s'il prononce une parole, c'est moi, l'Eternel, qui aurai séduit ce prophète; j'étendrai ma main contre lui, et je le détruirai du milieu de mon peuple d'Israël.(FR) 9 ׃14 וְהַנָּבִ֤יא כִֽי־יְפֻתֶּה֙ וְדִבֶּ֣ר דָּבָ֔ר אֲנִ֤י יְהוָה֙ פִּתֵּ֔יתִי אֵ֖ת הַנָּבִ֣יא הַה֑וּא וְנָטִ֤יתִי אֶת־יָדִי֙ עָלָ֔יו וְהִ֨שְׁמַדְתִּ֔יו מִתּ֖וֹךְ עַמִּ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:9 "But if the prophet is prevailed upon to speak a word, it is I, the Lord, who have prevailed upon that prophet, and I will stretch out My hand against him and destroy him from among My people Israel. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:10 ============ Eze 14:10 And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him;(KJV) Ezekiel 14:10 And they shall beare their punishment: the punishment of the Prophet shall bee euen as the punishment of him that asketh,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:10 Ils porteront ainsi la peine de leur iniquité; la peine du prophète sera comme la peine de celui qui consulte,(FR) 10 ׃14 וְנָשְׂא֖וּ עֲוֺנָ֑ם כַּֽעֲוֺן֙ הַדֹּרֵ֔שׁ כַּעֲוֺ֥ן הַנָּבִ֖יא יִֽהְיֶֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:10 They will bear the punishment of their iniquity; as the iniquity of the inquirer is, so the iniquity of the prophet will be, (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:11 ============ Eze 14:11 That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, saith the Lord GOD.(KJV) Ezekiel 14:11 That the house of Israel may go no more astray from mee, neither bee polluted any more with all their transgressions, but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, sayth the Lorde God.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:11 afin que la maison d'Israël ne s'égare plus loin de moi, et qu'elle ne se souille plus par toutes ses transgressions. Alors ils seront mon peuple, et je serai leur Dieu, dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.(FR) 11 ׃14 לְ֠מַען לֹֽא־יִתְע֨וּ ע֤וֹד בֵּֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מֵאַֽחֲרַ֔י וְלֹֽא־יִטַּמְּא֥וּ ע֖וֹד בְּכָל־פִּשְׁעֵיהֶ֑ם וְהָ֥יוּ לִ֣י לְעָ֗ם וַֽאֲנִי֙ אֶהְיֶ֤ה לָהֶם֙ לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ פ Ezekiel Eze 14:11 in order that the house of Israel may no longer stray from Me and no longer defile themselves with all their transgressions. Thus they will be My people, and I shall be their God,"' declares the Lord God." (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:12 ============ Eze 14:12 The word of the LORD came again to me, saying,(KJV) Ezekiel 14:12 The worde of the Lord came againe vnto me, saying,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:12 La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(FR) 12 ׃14 וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:12 Then the word of the Lord came to me saying, (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:13 ============ Eze 14:13 Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:(KJV) Ezekiel 14:13 Sonne of man, when ye land sinneth against me by committing a trespasse, then will I stretch out mine hand vpon it, & will breake the staffe of the bread thereof, and will send famine vpon it, and I will destroy man and beast forth of it.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:13 Fils de l'homme, lorsqu'un pays pécherait contre moi en se livrant à l'infidélité, et que j'étendrais ma main sur lui, -si je brisais pour lui le bâton du pain, si je lui envoyais la famine, si j'en exterminais les hommes et les bêtes,(FR) 13 ׃14 בֶּן־אָדָ֗ם אֶ֚רֶץ כִּ֤י תֶחֱטָא־לִי֙ לִמְעָל־מַ֔עַל וְנָטִ֤יתִי יָדִי֙ עָלֶ֔יהָ וְשָׁבַ֥רְתִּי לָ֖הּ מַטֵּה־לָ֑חֶם וְהִשְׁלַחְתִּי־בָ֣הּ רָעָ֔ב וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י מִמֶּ֖נָּה אָדָ֥ם וּבְהֵמָֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:13 "Son of man, if a country sins against Me by committing unfaithfulness, and I stretch out My hand against it, destroy its supply of bread, send famine against it and cut off from it both man and beast, (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:14 ============ Eze 14:14 Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.(KJV) Ezekiel 14:14 Though these three men Noah, Daniel, and Iob were among them, they shoulde deliuer but their owne soules by their righteousnes, saith the Lorde God.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:14 et qu'il y eût au milieu de lui ces trois hommes, Noé, Daniel et Job, ils sauveraient leur âme par leur justice, dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.(FR) 14 ׃14 וְ֠הָיוּ שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ בְּתוֹכָ֔הּ נֹ֖חַ *דנאל **דָּנִיֵּ֣אל וְאִיּ֑וֹב הֵ֤מָּה בְצִדְקָתָם֙ יְנַצְּל֣וּ נַפְשָׁ֔ם נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:14 even though these three men, Noah, Daniel and Job were in its midst, by their own righteousness they could only deliver themselves," declares the Lord God. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:15 ============ Eze 14:15 If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts:(KJV) Ezekiel 14:15 If I bring noysome beastes into the lande and they spoyle it, so that it bee desolate, that no man may passe through, because of beastes,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:15 Si je faisais parcourir le pays par des bêtes féroces qui le dépeupleraient, s'il devenait un désert où personne ne passerait à cause de ces bêtes,(FR) 15 ׃14 לֽוּ־חַיָּ֥ה רָעָ֛ה אַעֲבִ֥יר בָּאָ֖רֶץ וְשִׁכְּלָ֑תָּה וְהָיְתָ֤ה שְׁמָמָה֙ מִבְּלִ֣י עוֹבֵ֔ר מִפְּנֵ֖י הַחַיָּֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:15 "If I were to cause wild beasts to pass through the land and they depopulated it, and it became desolate so that no one would pass through it because of the beasts, (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:16 ============ Eze 14:16 Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land shall be desolate.(KJV) Ezekiel 14:16 Though these three men were in the mids thereof, As I liue, sayth the Lord God, they shall saue neither sonnes nor daughters: they onely shalbe deliuered, but the land shall be waste.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:16 et qu'il y eût au milieu de lui ces trois hommes, je suis vivant! dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel, ils ne sauveraient ni fils ni filles, eux seuls seraient sauvés, et le pays deviendrait un désert.(FR) 16 ׃14 שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים הָאֵלֶּה֮ בְּתוֹכָהּ֒ חַי־אָ֗נִי נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה אִם־בָּנִ֥ים וְאִם־בָּנ֖וֹת יַצִּ֑ילוּ הֵ֤מָּה לְבַדָּם֙ יִנָּצֵ֔לוּ וְהָאָ֖רֶץ תִּהְיֶ֥ה שְׁמָמָֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:16 though these three men were in its midst, as I live," declares the Lord God, "they could not deliver either their sons or their daughters. They alone would be delivered, but the country would be desolate. (nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:17 ============ Eze 14:17 Or if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it:(KJV) Ezekiel 14:17 Or if I bring a sworde vpon this land, and say, Sword, go through the land, so that I destroy man and beast out of it,(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:17 Ou si j'amenais l'épée contre ce pays, si je disais: Que l'épée parcoure le pays! si j'en exterminais les hommes et les bêtes,(FR) 17 ׃14 א֛וֹ חֶ֥רֶב אָבִ֖יא עַל־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַהִ֑יא וְאָמַרְתִּ֗י חֶ֚רֶב תַּעֲבֹ֣ר בָּאָ֔רֶץ וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י מִמֶּ֖נָּה אָדָ֥ם וּבְהֵמָֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:17 Or if I should bring a sword on that country and say, 'Let the sword pass through the country and cut off man and beast from it, '(nasb) ======= Ezekiel 14:18 ============ Eze 14:18 Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only shall be delivered themselves.(KJV) Ezekiel 14:18 Though these three men were in the mids thereof, As I liue, sayth the Lorde God, they shal deliuer neither sonnes nor daughters, but they onely shall be deliuered themselues.(Geneva) Ézéchiel 14:18 et qu'il y eût au milieu de lui ces trois hommes, je suis vivant! dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel, ils ne sauveraient ni fils ni filles, mais eux seuls seraient sauvés.(FR) 18 ׃14 וּשְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים הָאֵלֶּה֮ בְּתוֹכָהּ֒ חַי־אָ֗נִי נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה לֹ֥א יַצִּ֖ילוּ בָּנִ֣ים וּבָנ֑וֹת כִּ֛י הֵ֥ם לְבַדָּ֖ם יִנָּצֵֽלוּ׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:18 even though these three men were in its midst, as I live," declares the Lord God, "they could not deliver either their sons or their daughters, but they alone would be delivered.
