But the thunder of His power who can understand?"(nkjv) ======= Job 27:1 ============ Job 27:1 Then Job continued his discourse and said,(nasb) Job 27:1 ἔτι δὲ προσθεὶς Ιωβ εἶπεν τῷ προοιμίῳ (lxx) Job 27:1 Addidit quoque Job, assumens parabolam suam, et dixit:(vulgate) Job 27:1 Und Hiob fuhr fort und hob an seine Sprüche und sprach:(dhs) Job 27:1 Moreover Job continued his discourse, and said:(nkjv) ======= Job 27:2 ============ Job 27:2 "As God lives, who has taken away my right, And the Almighty, who has embittered my soul,(nasb) Job 27:2 ζῇ κύριος ὃς οὕτω με κέκρικεν καὶ ὁ παντοκράτωρ ὁ πικράνας μου τὴν ψυχήν (lxx) Job 27:2 [Vivit Deus, qui abstulit judicium meum, et Omnipotens, qui ad amaritudinem adduxit animam meam.(vulgate) Job 27:2 So wahr Gott lebt, der mir mein Recht weigert, und der Allmächtige, der meine Seele betrübt;(dhs) Job 27:2 "As God lives, who has taken away my justice, And the Almighty, who has made my soul bitter,(nkjv) ======= Job 27:3 ============ Job 27:3 For as long as life is in me, And the breath of God is in my nostrils,(nasb) Job 27:3 ἦ μὴν ἔτι τῆς πνοῆς μου ἐνούσης πνεῦμα δὲ θεῖον τὸ περιόν μοι ἐν ῥισίν (lxx) Job 27:3 Quia donec superest halitus in me, et spiritus Dei in naribus meis,(vulgate) Job 27:3 solange mein Odem in mir ist und der Hauch von Gott in meiner Nase ist:(dhs) Job 27:3 As long as my breath is in me, And the breath of God in my nostrils,(nkjv) ======= Job 27:4 ============ Job 27:4 My lips certainly will not speak unjustly, Nor will my tongue mutter deceit.(nasb) Job 27:4 μὴ λαλήσειν τὰ χείλη μου ἄνομα οὐδὲ ἡ ψυχή μου μελετήσει ἄδικα (lxx) Job 27:4 non loquentur labia mea iniquitatem, nec lingua mea meditabitur mendacium.(vulgate) Job 27:4 meine Lippen sollen nichts Unrechtes reden, und meine Zunge soll keinen Betrug sagen.(dhs) Job 27:4 My lips will not speak wickedness, Nor my tongue utter deceit.(nkjv) ======= Job 27:5 ============ Job 27:5 "Far be it from me that I should declare you right; Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me.(nasb) Job 27:5 μή μοι εἴη δικαίους ὑμᾶς ἀποφῆναι ἕως ἂν ἀποθάνω οὐ γὰρ ἀπαλλάξω μου τὴν ἀκακίαν (lxx) Job 27:5 Absit a me ut justos vos esse judicem: donec deficiam, non recedam ab innocentia mea.(vulgate) Job 27:5 Das sei ferne von mir, daß ich euch recht gebe; bis daß mein Ende kommt, will ich nicht weichen von meiner Unschuld.(dhs) Job 27:5 Far be it from me That I should say you are right; Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me.(nkjv) ======= Job 27:6 ============ Job 27:6 "I hold fast my righteousness and will not let it go. My heart does not reproach any of my days.(nasb) Job 27:6 δικαιοσύνῃ δὲ προσέχων οὐ μὴ προῶμαι οὐ γὰρ σύνοιδα ἐμαυτῷ ἄτοπα πράξας (lxx) Job 27:6 Justificationem meam, quam cœpi tenere, non deseram: neque enim reprehendit me cor meum in omni vita mea.(vulgate) Job 27:6 Von meiner Gerechtigkeit, die ich habe, will ich nicht lassen; mein Gewissen beißt mich nicht meines ganzen Lebens halben.(dhs) Job 27:6 My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go; My heart shall not reproach me as long as I live.(nkjv) ======= Job 27:7 ============ Job 27:7 "May my enemy be as the wicked And my opponent as the unjust.(nasb) Job 27:7 οὐ μὴν δὲ ἀλλὰ εἴησαν οἱ ἐχθροί μου ὥσπερ ἡ καταστροφὴ τῶν ἀσεβῶν καὶ οἱ ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἐπανιστανόμενοι ὥσπερ ἡ ἀπώλεια τῶν παρανόμων (lxx) Job 27:7 Sit ut impius, inimicus meus, et adversarius meus quasi iniquus.(vulgate) Job 27:7 Aber mein Feind müsse erfunden werden als ein Gottloser, und der sich wider mich auflehnt, als ein Ungerechter.(dhs) Job 27:7 "May my enemy be like the wicked, And he who rises up against me like the unrighteous.(nkjv) ======= Job 27:8 ============ Job 27:8 "For what is the hope of the godless when he is cut off, When God requires his life?(nasb) Job 27:8 καὶ τίς γάρ ἐστιν ἐλπὶς ἀσεβεῖ ὅτι ἐπέχει πεποιθὼς ἐπὶ κύριον ἆρα σωθήσεται (lxx) Job 27:8 Quæ est enim spes hypocritæ, si avare rapiat, et non liberet Deus animam ejus?(vulgate) Job 27:8 Denn was ist die Hoffnung des Heuchlers, wenn Gott ein Ende mit ihm macht und seine Seele hinreißt?(dhs) Job 27:8 For what is the hope of the hypocrite, Though he may gain much, If God takes away his life?(nkjv) ======= Job 27:9 ============ Job 27:9 "Will God hear his cry When distress comes upon him?(nasb) Job 27:9 ἦ τὴν δέησιν αὐτοῦ εἰσακούσεται κύριος ἢ ἐπελθούσης αὐτῷ ἀνάγκης (lxx) Job 27:9 Numquid Deus audiet clamorem ejus, cum venerit super eum angustia?(vulgate) Job 27:9 Meinst du das Gott sein Schreien hören wird, wenn die Angst über ihn kommt?(dhs) Job 27:9 Will God hear his cry When trouble comes upon him?(nkjv) ======= Job 27:10 ============ Job 27:10 "Will he take delight in the Almighty? Will he call on God at all times?(nasb) Job 27:10 μὴ ἔχει τινὰ παρρησίαν ἔναντι αὐτοῦ ἢ ὡς ἐπικαλεσαμένου αὐτοῦ εἰσακούσεται αὐτοῦ (lxx) Job 27:10 aut poterit in Omnipotente delectari, et invocare Deum omni tempore?(vulgate) Job 27:10 Oder kann er an dem Allmächtigen seine Lust haben und Gott allezeit anrufen?(dhs) Job 27:10 Will he delight himself in the Almighty? Will he always call on God?(nkjv) ======= Job 27:11 ============ Job 27:11 "I will instruct you in the power of God; What is with the Almighty I will not conceal.(nasb) Job 27:11 ἀλλὰ δὴ ἀναγγελῶ ὑμῖν τί ἐστιν ἐν χειρὶ κυρίου ἅ ἐστιν παρὰ παντοκράτορι οὐ ψεύσομαι (lxx) Job 27:11 Docebo vos per manum Dei quæ Omnipotens habeat, nec abscondam.(vulgate) Job 27:11 Ich will euch lehren von der Hand Gottes; und was bei dem Allmächtigen gilt, will ich nicht verhehlen.(dhs) Job 27:11 "I will teach you about the hand of God; What is with the Almighty I will not conceal.(nkjv) ======= Job 27:12 ============ Job 27:12 "Behold, all of you have seen it; Why then do you act foolishly?(nasb) Job 27:12 ἰδοὺ δὴ πάντες οἴδατε ὅτι κενὰ κενοῖς ἐπιβάλλετε (lxx) Job 27:12 Ecce vos omnes nostis: et quid sine causa vana loquimini?(vulgate) Job 27:12 Siehe, ihr haltet euch alle für klug; warum bringt ihr denn solch unnütze Dinge vor?(dhs) Job 27:12 Surely all of you have seen it; Why then do you behave with complete nonsense?(nkjv) ======= Job 27:13 ============ Job 27:13 "This is the portion of a wicked man from God, And the inheritance which tyrants receive from the Almighty.(nasb) Job 27:13 αὕτη ἡ μερὶς ἀνθρώπου ἀσεβοῦς παρὰ κυρίου κτῆμα δὲ δυναστῶν ἐλεύσεται παρὰ παντοκράτορος ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς (lxx) Job 27:13 Hæc est pars hominis impii apud Deum, et hæreditas violentorum, quam ob Omnipotente suscipient.(vulgate) Job 27:13 Das ist der Lohn eines gottlosen Menschen bei Gott und das Erbe der Tyrannen, das sie von dem Allmächtigen nehmen werden:(dhs) Job 27:13 "This is the portion of a wicked man with God, And the heritage of oppressors, received from the Almighty:(nkjv) ======= Job 27:14 ============ Job 27:14 "Though his sons are many, they are destined for the sword; And his descendants will not be satisfied with bread.(nasb) Job 27:14 ἐὰν δὲ πολλοὶ γένωνται οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς σφαγὴν ἔσονται ἐὰν δὲ καὶ ἀνδρωθῶσιν προσαιτήσουσιν (lxx) Job 27:14 Si multiplicati fuerint filii ejus, in gladio erunt, et nepotes ejus non saturabuntur pane:(vulgate) Job 27:14 wird er viele Kinder haben, so werden sie des Schwertes sein; und seine Nachkömmlinge werden des Brots nicht satt haben.(dhs) Job 27:14 If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword; And his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.(nkjv) ======= Job 27:15 ============ Job 27:15 "His survivors will be buried because of the plague, And their widows will not be able to weep.(nasb) Job 27:15 οἱ δὲ περιόντες αὐτοῦ ἐν θανάτῳ τελευτήσουσιν χήρας δὲ αὐτῶν οὐθεὶς ἐλεήσει (lxx) Job 27:15 qui reliqui fuerint ex eo sepelientur in interitu, et viduæ illius non plorabunt.(vulgate) Job 27:15 Die ihm übrigblieben, wird die Seuche ins Grab bringen; und seine Witwen werden nicht weinen.(dhs) Job 27:15 Those who survive him shall be buried in death, And their widows shall not weep,(nkjv) ======= Job 27:16 ============ Job 27:16 "Though he piles up silver like dust And prepares garments as plentiful as the clay,(nasb) Job 27:16 ἐὰν συναγάγῃ ὥσπερ γῆν ἀργύριον ἴσα δὲ πηλῷ ἑτοιμάσῃ χρυσίον (lxx) Job 27:16 Si comportaverit quasi terram argentum, et sicut lutum præparaverit vestimenta:(vulgate) Job 27:16 Wenn er Geld zusammenbringt wie Staub und sammelt Kleider wie Lehm,(dhs) Job 27:16 Though he heaps up silver like dust, And piles up clothing like clay--(nkjv) ======= Job 27:17 ============ Job 27:17 He may prepare it, but the just will wear it And the innocent will divide the silver.(nasb) Job 27:17 ταῦτα πάντα δίκαιοι περιποιήσονται τὰ δὲ χρήματα αὐτοῦ ἀληθινοὶ καθέξουσιν (lxx) Job 27:17 præparabit quidem, sed justus vestietur illis, et argentum innocens dividet.(vulgate) Job 27:17 so wird er es wohl bereiten; aber der Gerechte wird es anziehen, und der Unschuldige wird das Geld austeilen.(dhs) Job 27:17 He may pile it up, but the just will wear it, And the innocent will divide the silver.(nkjv) ======= Job 27:18 ============ Job 27:18 "He has built his house like the spider's web, Or as a hut which the watchman has made.(nasb) Job 27:18 ἀπέβη δὲ ὁ οἶκος αὐτοῦ ὥσπερ σῆτες καὶ ὥσπερ ἀράχνη (lxx) Job 27:18 Ædificavit sicut tinea domum suam, et sicut custos fecit umbraculum.(vulgate) Job 27:18 Er baut sein Haus wie eine Spinne, und wie ein Wächter seine Hütte macht.(dhs) Job 27:18 He builds his house like a moth, Like a booth which a watchman makes.(nkjv) ======= Job 27:19 ============ Job 27:19 "He lies down rich, but never again; He opens his eyes, and it is no longer.(nasb) Job 27:19 πλούσιος κοιμηθεὶς καὶ οὐ προσθήσει ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτοῦ διήνοιξεν καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν (lxx) Job 27:19 Dives, cum dormierit, nihil secum auferet: aperiet oculos suos, et nihil inveniet.(vulgate) Job 27:19 Der Reiche, wenn er sich legt, wird er's nicht mitraffen; er wird seine Augen auftun, und da wird nichts sein.(dhs) Job 27:19 The rich man will lie down, But not be gathered up; He opens his eyes, And he is no more.(nkjv) ======= Job 27:20 ============ Job 27:20 "Terrors overtake him like a flood; A tempest steals him away in the night.(nasb) Job 27:20 συνήντησαν αὐτῷ ὥσπερ ὕδωρ αἱ ὀδύναι νυκτὶ δὲ ὑφείλατο αὐτὸν γνόφος (lxx) Job 27:20 Apprehendet eum quasi aqua inopia: nocte opprimet eum tempestas.(vulgate) Job 27:20 Es wird ihn Schrecken überfallen wie Wasser; des Nachts wird ihn das Ungewitter wegnehmen.(dhs) Job 27:20 Terrors overtake him like a flood; A tempest steals him away in the night.(nkjv) ======= Job 27:21 ============ Job 27:21 "The east wind carries him away, and he is gone, For it whirls him away from his place.(nasb) Job 27:21 ἀναλήμψεται αὐτὸν καύσων καὶ ἀπελεύσεται καὶ λικμήσει αὐτὸν ἐκ τοῦ τόπου αὐτοῦ (lxx) Job 27:21 Tollet eum ventus urens, et auferet, et velut turbo rapiet eum de loco suo.(vulgate) Job 27:21 Der Ostwind wird ihn wegführen, daß er dahinfährt; und Ungestüm wird ihn von seinem Ort treiben.(dhs) Job 27:21 The east wind carries him away, and he is gone; It sweeps him out of his place.(nkjv) ======= Job 27:22 ============ Job 27:22 "For it will hurl at him without sparing; He will surely try to flee from its power.(nasb) Job 27:22 καὶ ἐπιρρίψει ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν καὶ οὐ φείσεται ἐκ χειρὸς αὐτοῦ φυγῇ φεύξεται (lxx) Job 27:22 Et mittet super eum, et non parcet: de manu ejus fugiens fugiet.(vulgate) Job 27:22 Er wird solches über ihn führen und wird sein nicht schonen;
