And such a very large crowd gathered to Him that He got into a boat in the sea and sat down; and the whole crowd was by the sea on the land.(nasb) Mar 4:1 καὶ πάλιν ἤρξατο διδάσκειν παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν. καὶ συνάγεται πρὸς αὐτὸν ὄχλος πλεῖστος, ὥστε αὐτὸν εἰς πλοῖον ἐμβάντα καθῆσθαι ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ, καὶ πᾶς ὁ ὄχλος πρὸς τὴν θάλασσαν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἦσαν.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:1 Et iterum cœpit docere ad mare: et congregata est ad eum turba multa, ita ut navim ascendens sederet in mari, et omnis turba circa mare super terram erat:(vulgate) Mar 4:1 Und er fing abermals an, zu lehren am Meer. Und es versammelte sich viel Volks zu ihm, also daß er mußte in ein Schiff treten und auf dem Wasser sitzen; und alles Volk stand auf dem Lande am Meer.(dhs) Mar 4:1 And again He began to teach by the sea. And a great multitude was gathered to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat in it on the sea; and the whole multitude was on the land facing the sea.(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:2 ============ Mar 4:2 And He was teaching them many things in parables, and was saying to them in His teaching,(nasb) Mar 4:2 καὶ ἐδίδασκεν αὐτοὺς ἐν παραβολαῖς πολλά, καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς ἐν τῇ διδαχῇ αὐτοῦ,(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:2 et docebat eos in parabolis multa, et dicebat illis in doctrina sua:(vulgate) Mar 4:2 Und er predigte ihnen lange durch Gleichnisse; und in seiner Predigt sprach er zu ihnen:(dhs) Mar 4:2 Then He taught them many things by parables, and said to them in His teaching:(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:3 ============ Mar 4:3 "Listen to this! Behold, the sower went out to sow;(nasb) Mar 4:3 ἀκούετε. ἰδοὺ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ σπείρων σπεῖραι.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:3 Audite: ecce exiit seminans ad seminandum.(vulgate) Mar 4:3 Höret zu! Siehe, es ging ein Sämann aus, zu säen.(dhs) Mar 4:3 "Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow.(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:4 ============ Mar 4:4 as he was sowing, some seed fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate it up.(nasb) Mar 4:4 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῶ σπείρειν ὃ μὲν ἔπεσεν παρὰ τὴν ὁδόν, καὶ ἦλθεν τὰ πετεινὰ καὶ κατέφαγεν αὐτό.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:4 Et dum seminat, aliud cecidit circa viam, et venerunt volucres cæli, et comederunt illud.(vulgate) Mar 4:4 Und es begab sich, indem er säte, fiel etliches an den Weg; da kamen die Vögel unter dem Himmel und fraßen's auf.(dhs) Mar 4:4 And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it.(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:5 ============ Mar 4:5 Other seed fell on the rocky ground where it did not have much soil; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of soil.(nasb) Mar 4:5 καὶ ἄλλο ἔπεσεν ἐπὶ τὸ πετρῶδες ὅπου οὐκ εἶχεν γῆν πολλήν, καὶ εὐθὺς ἐξανέτειλεν διὰ τὸ μὴ ἔχειν βάθος γῆς·(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:5 Aliud vero cecidit super petrosa, ubi non habuit terram multam: et statim exortum est, quoniam non habebat altitudinem terræ:(vulgate) Mar 4:5 Etliches fiel in das Steinige, wo es nicht viel Erde hatte; und ging bald auf, darum daß es nicht tiefe Erde hatte.(dhs) Mar 4:5 Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth.(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:6 ============ Mar 4:6 And after the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.(nasb) Mar 4:6 καὶ ὅτε ἀνέτειλεν ὁ ἥλιος ἐκαυματίσθη, καὶ διὰ τὸ μὴ ἔχειν ῥίζαν ἐξηράνθη.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:6 et quando exortus est sol, exæstuavit: et eo quod non habebat radicem, exaruit.(vulgate) Mar 4:6 Da nun die Sonne aufging, verwelkte es, und dieweil es nicht Wurzel hatte verdorrte es.(dhs) Mar 4:6 But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away.(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:7 ============ Mar 4:7 Other seed fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it, and it yielded no crop.(nasb) Mar 4:7 καὶ ἄλλο ἔπεσεν εἰς τὰς ἀκάνθας, καὶ ἀνέβησαν αἱ ἄκανθαι καὶ συνέπνιξαν αὐτό, καὶ καρπὸν οὐκ ἔδωκεν.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:7 Et aliud cecidit in spinas: et ascenderunt spinæ, et suffocaverunt illud, et fructum non dedit.(vulgate) Mar 4:7 Und etliches fiel unter die Dornen; und die Dornen wuchsen empor und erstickten's, und es brachte keine Frucht.(dhs) Mar 4:7 And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop.(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:8 ============ Mar 4:8 Other seeds fell into the good soil, and as they grew up and increased, they yielded a crop and produced thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold."(nasb) Mar 4:8 καὶ ἄλλα ἔπεσεν εἰς τὴν γῆν τὴν καλήν, καὶ ἐδίδου καρπὸν ἀναβαίνοντα καὶ αὐξανόμενα, καὶ ἔφερεν ἓν τριάκοντα καὶ ἓν ἑξήκοντα καὶ ἓν ἑκατόν.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:8 Et aliud cecidit in terram bonam: et dabat fructum ascendentem et crescentem, et afferebat unum triginta, unum sexaginta, et unum centum.(vulgate) Mar 4:8 Und etliches fiel auf ein gutes Land und brachte Frucht, die da zunahm und wuchs; etliches trug dreißigfältig und etliches sechzigfältig und etliches hundertfältig.(dhs) Mar 4:8 But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred."(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:9 ============ Mar 4:9 And He was saying, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."(nasb) Mar 4:9 καὶ ἔλεγεν, ὃς ἔχει ὦτα ἀκούειν ἀκουέτω.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:9 Et dicebat: Qui habet aures audiendi, audiat.(vulgate) Mar 4:9 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Wer Ohren hat, zu hören, der höre!(dhs) Mar 4:9 And He said to them, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:10 ============ Mar 4:10 As soon as He was alone, His followers, along with the twelve, began asking Him about the parables.(nasb) Mar 4:10 καὶ ὅτε ἐγένετο κατὰ μόνας, ἠρώτων αὐτὸν οἱ περὶ αὐτὸν σὺν τοῖς δώδεκα τὰς παραβολάς.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:10 Et cum esset singularis, interrogaverunt eum hi qui cum eo erant duodecim, parabolam.(vulgate) Mar 4:10 Und da er allein war, fragten ihn um dies Gleichnis, die um ihn waren, mitsamt den Zwölfen.(dhs) Mar 4:10 But when He was alone, those around Him with the twelve asked Him about the parable.(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:11 ============ Mar 4:11 And He was saying to them," To you has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God, but those who are outside get everything in parables,(nasb) Mar 4:11 καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς, ὑμῖν τὸ μυστήριον δέδοται τῆς βασιλείας τοῦ θεοῦ· ἐκείνοις δὲ τοῖς ἔξω ἐν παραβολαῖς τὰ πάντα γίνεται,(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:11 Et dicebat eis: Vobis datum est nosse mysterium regni Dei: illis autem, qui foris sunt, in parabolis omnia fiunt:(vulgate) Mar 4:11 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Euch ist's gegeben, das Geheimnis des Reiches Gottes zu wissen; denen aber draußen widerfährt es alles nur durch Gleichnisse,(dhs) Mar 4:11 And He said to them, "To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables,(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:12 ============ Mar 4:12 so that while seeing, they may see and not perceive, and while hearing, they may hear and not understand, otherwise they might return and be forgiven."(nasb) Mar 4:12 ἵνα βλέποντες βλέπωσιν καὶ μὴ ἴδωσιν, καὶ ἀκούοντες ἀκούωσιν καὶ μὴ συνιῶσιν, μήποτε ἐπιστρέψωσιν καὶ ἀφεθῇ αὐτοῖς.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:12 ut videntes videant, et non videant: et audientes audiant, et non intelligant: nequando convertantur, et dimittantur eis peccata.~(vulgate) Mar 4:12 auf daß sie es mit sehenden Augen sehen, und doch nicht erkennen, und mit hörenden Ohren hören, und doch nicht verstehen, auf daß sie sich nicht dermaleinst bekehren und ihre Sünden ihnen vergeben werden.(dhs) Mar 4:12 so that 'Seeing they may see and not perceive, And hearing they may hear and not understand; Lest they should turn, And their sins be forgiven them.' "(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:13 ============ Mar 4:13 And He said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? How will you understand all the parables?(nasb) Mar 4:13 καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς, οὐκ οἴδατε τὴν παραβολὴν ταύτην, καὶ πῶς πάσας τὰς παραβολὰς γνώσεσθε;(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:13 Et ait illis: Nescitis parabolam hanc? Et quomodo omnes parabolas cognoscetis?(vulgate) Mar 4:13 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Verstehet ihr dies Gleichnis nicht, wie wollt ihr denn die andern alle verstehen?(dhs) Mar 4:13 And He said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:14 ============ Mar 4:14 The sower sows the word.(nasb) Mar 4:14 ὁ σπείρων τὸν λόγον σπείρει.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:14 Qui seminat, verbum seminat.(vulgate) Mar 4:14 Der Sämann sät das Wort.(dhs) Mar 4:14 The sower sows the word.(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:15 ============ Mar 4:15 These are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown; and when they hear, immediately Satan comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them.(nasb) Mar 4:15 οὖτοι δέ εἰσιν οἱ παρὰ τὴν ὁδὸν ὅπου σπείρεται ὁ λόγος, καὶ ὅταν ἀκούσωσιν εὐθὺς ἔρχεται ὁ σατανᾶς καὶ αἴρει τὸν λόγον τὸν ἐσπαρμένον εἰς αὐτούς.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:15 Hi autem sunt, qui circa viam, ubi seminatur verbum, et cum audierint, confestim venit Satanas, et aufert verbum, quod seminatum est in cordibus eorum.(vulgate) Mar 4:15 Diese sind's aber, die an dem Wege sind: Wo das Wort gesät wird und sie es gehört haben, so kommt alsbald der Satan und nimmt weg das Wort, das in ihr Herz gesät war.(dhs) Mar 4:15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:16 ============ Mar 4:16 In a similar way these are the ones on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy;(nasb) Mar 4:16 καὶ οὖτοί εἰσιν οἱ ἐπὶ τὰ πετρώδη σπειρόμενοι, οἳ ὅταν ἀκούσωσιν τὸν λόγον εὐθὺς μετὰ χαρᾶς λαμβάνουσιν αὐτόν,(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:16 Et hi sunt similiter, qui super petrosa seminantur: qui cum audierint verbum, statim cum gaudio accipiunt illud:(vulgate) Mar 4:16 Also auch die sind's, bei welchen aufs Steinige gesät ist: wenn sie das Wort gehört haben, nehmen sie es alsbald mit Freuden auf,(dhs) Mar 4:16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness;(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:17 ============ Mar 4:17 and they have no firm root in themselves, but are only temporary; then, when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away.(nasb) Mar 4:17 καὶ οὐκ ἔχουσιν ῥίζαν ἐν ἑαυτοῖς ἀλλὰ πρόσκαιροί εἰσιν· εἶτα γενομένης θλίψεως ἢ διωγμοῦ διὰ τὸν λόγον εὐθὺς σκανδαλίζονται.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:17 et non habent radicem in se, sed temporales sunt: deinde orta tribulatione et persecutione propter verbum, confestim scandalizantur.(vulgate) Mar 4:17 und haben keine Wurzel in sich, sondern sind wetterwendisch; wenn sich Trübsal oder Verfolgung um des Wortes willen erhebt, so ärgern sie sich alsbald.(dhs) Mar 4:17 and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Is it not brought to be put on the lampstand?(nasb) Mar 4:21 καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς, μήτι ἔρχεται ὁ λύχνος ἵνα ὑπὸ τὸν μόδιον τεθῇ ἢ ὑπὸ τὴν κλίνην; οὐχ ἵνα ἐπὶ τὴν λυχνίαν τεθῇ;(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:21 Et dicebat illis: Numquid venit lucerna ut sub modo ponatur, aut sub lecto? nonne ut super candelabrum ponatur?(vulgate) Mar 4:21 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Zündet man auch ein Licht an, daß man es unter einen Scheffel oder unter einen Tisch setze? Mitnichten, sondern daß man's auf einen Leuchter setze.(dhs) Mar 4:21 Also He said to them, "Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? By your standard of measure it will be measured to you; and more will be given you besides.(nasb) Mar 4:24 καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς, βλέπετε τί ἀκούετε. ἐν ᾧ μέτρῳ μετρεῖτε μετρηθήσεται ὑμῖν καὶ προστεθήσεται ὑμῖν.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:24 Et dicebat illis: Videte quid audiatis. In qua mensura mensi fueritis, remetietur vobis, et adjicietur vobis.(vulgate) Mar 4:24 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Sehet zu, was ihr höret! Mit welcherlei Maß ihr messet, wird man euch wieder messen, und man wird noch zugeben euch, die ihr dies hört.(dhs) Mar 4:24 Then He said to them, "Take heed what you hear.
