And such a very large crowd gathered to Him that He got into a boat in the sea and sat down; and the whole crowd was by the sea on the land.(nasb) Mar 4:1 καὶ πάλιν ἤρξατο διδάσκειν παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν. καὶ συνάγεται πρὸς αὐτὸν ὄχλος πλεῖστος, ὥστε αὐτὸν εἰς πλοῖον ἐμβάντα καθῆσθαι ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ, καὶ πᾶς ὁ ὄχλος πρὸς τὴν θάλασσαν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἦσαν.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:1 Et iterum cœpit docere ad mare: et congregata est ad eum turba multa, ita ut navim ascendens sederet in mari, et omnis turba circa mare super terram erat:(vulgate) Mar 4:1 Und er fing abermals an, zu lehren am Meer. Und es versammelte sich viel Volks zu ihm, also daß er mußte in ein Schiff treten und auf dem Wasser sitzen; und alles Volk stand auf dem Lande am Meer.(dhs) Mar 4:1 And again He began to teach by the sea. Behold, a sower went out to sow.(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:4 ============ Mar 4:4 as he was sowing, some seed fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate it up.(nasb) Mar 4:4 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῶ σπείρειν ὃ μὲν ἔπεσεν παρὰ τὴν ὁδόν, καὶ ἦλθεν τὰ πετεινὰ καὶ κατέφαγεν αὐτό.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:4 Et dum seminat, aliud cecidit circa viam, et venerunt volucres cæli, et comederunt illud.(vulgate) Mar 4:4 Und es begab sich, indem er säte, fiel etliches an den Weg; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of soil.(nasb) Mar 4:5 καὶ ἄλλο ἔπεσεν ἐπὶ τὸ πετρῶδες ὅπου οὐκ εἶχεν γῆν πολλήν, καὶ εὐθὺς ἐξανέτειλεν διὰ τὸ μὴ ἔχειν βάθος γῆς·(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:5 Aliud vero cecidit super petrosa, ubi non habuit terram multam: et statim exortum est, quoniam non habebat altitudinem terræ:(vulgate) Mar 4:5 Etliches fiel in das Steinige, wo es nicht viel Erde hatte; denen aber draußen widerfährt es alles nur durch Gleichnisse,(dhs) Mar 4:11 And He said to them, "To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables,(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:12 ============ Mar 4:12 so that while seeing, they may see and not perceive, and while hearing, they may hear and not understand, otherwise they might return and be forgiven."(nasb) Mar 4:12 ἵνα βλέποντες βλέπωσιν καὶ μὴ ἴδωσιν, καὶ ἀκούοντες ἀκούωσιν καὶ μὴ συνιῶσιν, μήποτε ἐπιστρέψωσιν καὶ ἀφεθῇ αὐτοῖς.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:12 ut videntes videant, et non videant: et audientes audiant, et non intelligant: nequando convertantur, et dimittantur eis peccata.~(vulgate) Mar 4:12 auf daß sie es mit sehenden Augen sehen, und doch nicht erkennen, und mit hörenden Ohren hören, und doch nicht verstehen, auf daß sie sich nicht dermaleinst bekehren und ihre Sünden ihnen vergeben werden.(dhs) Mar 4:12 so that 'Seeing they may see and not perceive, And hearing they may hear and not understand; How will you understand all the parables?(nasb) Mar 4:13 καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς, οὐκ οἴδατε τὴν παραβολὴν ταύτην, καὶ πῶς πάσας τὰς παραβολὰς γνώσεσθε;(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:13 Et ait illis: Nescitis parabolam hanc? Et quomodo omnes parabolas cognoscetis?(vulgate) Mar 4:13 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Verstehet ihr dies Gleichnis nicht, wie wollt ihr denn die andern alle verstehen?(dhs) Mar 4:13 And He said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:14 ============ Mar 4:14 The sower sows the word.(nasb) Mar 4:14 ὁ σπείρων τὸν λόγον σπείρει.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:14 Qui seminat, verbum seminat.(vulgate) Mar 4:14 Der Sämann sät das Wort.(dhs) Mar 4:14 The sower sows the word.(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:15 ============ Mar 4:15 These are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown; and when they hear, immediately Satan comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them.(nasb) Mar 4:15 οὖτοι δέ εἰσιν οἱ παρὰ τὴν ὁδὸν ὅπου σπείρεται ὁ λόγος, καὶ ὅταν ἀκούσωσιν εὐθὺς ἔρχεται ὁ σατανᾶς καὶ αἴρει τὸν λόγον τὸν ἐσπαρμένον εἰς αὐτούς.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:15 Hi autem sunt, qui circa viam, ubi seminatur verbum, et cum audierint, confestim venit Satanas, et aufert verbum, quod seminatum est in cordibus eorum.(vulgate) Mar 4:15 Diese sind's aber, die an dem Wege sind: Wo das Wort gesät wird und sie es gehört haben, so kommt alsbald der Satan und nimmt weg das Wort, das in ihr Herz gesät war.(dhs) Mar 4:15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:16 ============ Mar 4:16 In a similar way these are the ones on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy;(nasb) Mar 4:16 καὶ οὖτοί εἰσιν οἱ ἐπὶ τὰ πετρώδη σπειρόμενοι, οἳ ὅταν ἀκούσωσιν τὸν λόγον εὐθὺς μετὰ χαρᾶς λαμβάνουσιν αὐτόν,(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:16 Et hi sunt similiter, qui super petrosa seminantur: qui cum audierint verbum, statim cum gaudio accipiunt illud:(vulgate) Mar 4:16 Also auch die sind's, bei welchen aufs Steinige gesät ist: wenn sie das Wort gehört haben, nehmen sie es alsbald mit Freuden auf,(dhs) Mar 4:16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness;(nkjv) ======= Mark 4:17 ============ Mar 4:17 and they have no firm root in themselves, but are only temporary; then, when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away.(nasb) Mar 4:17 καὶ οὐκ ἔχουσιν ῥίζαν ἐν ἑαυτοῖς ἀλλὰ πρόσκαιροί εἰσιν· εἶτα γενομένης θλίψεως ἢ διωγμοῦ διὰ τὸν λόγον εὐθὺς σκανδαλίζονται.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 4:17 et non habent radicem in se, sed temporales sunt: deinde orta tribulatione et persecutione propter verbum, confestim scandalizantur.(vulgate) Mar 4:17 und haben keine Wurzel in sich, sondern sind wetterwendisch; wenn sich Trübsal oder Verfolgung um des Wortes willen erhebt, so ärgern sie sich alsbald.(dhs) Mar 4:17 and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. In qua mensura mensi fueritis, remetietur vobis, et adjicietur vobis.(vulgate) Mar 4:24 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Sehet zu, was ihr höret! Mit welcherlei Maß ihr messet, wird man euch wieder messen, und man wird noch zugeben euch, die ihr dies hört.(dhs) Mar 4:24 Then He said to them, "Take heed what you hear.
