Today's Date: ======= Mark 7:1 ============ Mar 7:1 The Pharisees and some of the scribes gathered around Him when they had come from Jerusalem,(nasb) Mar 7:1 καὶ συνάγονται πρὸς αὐτὸν οἱ φαρισαῖοι καί τινες τῶν γραμματέων ἐλθόντες ἀπὸ ἱεροσολύμων(Nestle-Aland) Mar 7:1 Et conveniunt ad eum pharisæi, et quidam de scribis, venientes ab Jerosolymis.(vulgate) Mar 7:1 Und es kamen zu ihm die Pharisäer und etliche von den Schriftgelehrten, die von Jerusalem gekommen waren.(dhs) Mar 7:1 Then the Pharisees and some of the scribes came together to Him, having come from Jerusalem.(nkjv) ======= Mark 7:2 ============ Mar 7:2 and had seen that some of His disciples were eating their bread with impure hands, that is, unwashed.(nasb) Mar 7:2 καὶ ἰδόντες τινὰς τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ ὅτι κοιναῖς χερσίν, τοῦτ᾽ ἔστιν ἀνίπτοις, ἐσθίουσιν τοὺς ἄρτους(Nestle-Aland) Mar 7:2 Et cum vidissent quosdam ex discipulis ejus communibus manibus, id est non lotis, manducare panes, vituperaverunt.(vulgate) Mar 7:2 Und da sie sahen etliche seiner Jünger mit gemeinen (das ist ungewaschenen) Händen das Brot essen, tadelten sie es.(dhs) Mar 7:2 Now when they saw some of His disciples eat bread with defiled, that is, with unwashed hands, they found fault.(nkjv) ======= Mark 7:3 ============ Mar 7:3 (For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they carefully wash their hands, thus observing the traditions of the elders;(nasb) Mar 7:3 _ οἱ γὰρ φαρισαῖοι καὶ πάντες οἱ ἰουδαῖοι ἐὰν μὴ πυγμῇ νίψωνται τὰς χεῖρας οὐκ ἐσθίουσιν, κρατοῦντες τὴν παράδοσιν τῶν πρεσβυτέρων,(Nestle-Aland) Mar 7:3 Pharisæi enim, et omnes Judæi, nisi crebro laverint manus, non manducant, tenentes traditionem seniorum:(vulgate) Mar 7:3 (Denn die Pharisäer und alle Juden essen nicht, sie waschen denn die Hände manchmal, und halten also die Aufsätze der Ältesten;(dhs) Mar 7:3 For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands in a special way, holding the tradition of the elders.(nkjv) ======= Mark 7:4 ============ Mar 7:4 and when they come from the market place, they do not eat unless they cleanse themselves; and there are many other things which they have received in order to observe, such as the washing of cups and pitchers and copper pots. )(nasb) Mar 7:4 καὶ ἀπ᾽ ἀγορᾶς ἐὰν μὴ βαπτίσωνται οὐκ ἐσθίουσιν, καὶ ἄλλα πολλά ἐστιν ἃ παρέλαβον κρατεῖν, βαπτισμοὺς ποτηρίων καὶ ξεστῶν καὶ χαλκίων [καὶ κλινῶν] _(Nestle-Aland) Mar 7:4 et a foro nisi baptizentur, non comedunt: et alia multa sunt, quæ tradita sunt illis servare, baptismata calicum, et urceorum, et æramentorum, et lectorum:(vulgate) Mar 7:4 und wenn sie vom Markt kommen, essen sie nicht, sie waschen sich denn. Do you not understand that whatever goes into the man from outside cannot defile him,(nasb) Mar 7:18 καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς, οὕτως καὶ ὑμεῖς ἀσύνετοί ἐστε; οὐ νοεῖτε ὅτι πᾶν τὸ ἔξωθεν εἰσπορευόμενον εἰς τὸν ἄνθρωπον οὐ δύναται αὐτὸν κοινῶσαι,(Nestle-Aland) Mar 7:18 Et ait illis: Sic et vos imprudentes estis? Non intelligitis quia omne extrinsecus introiens in hominem, non potest eum communicare:(vulgate) Mar 7:18 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Seid ihr denn auch so unverständig? Vernehmet ihr noch nicht, daß alles, was außen ist und in den Menschen geht, das kann ihn nicht gemein machen?(dhs) Mar 7:18 So He said to them, "Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him,(nkjv) ======= Mark 7:19 ============ Mar 7:19 because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, and is eliminated?" And she kept asking Him to cast the demon out of her daughter.(nasb) Mar 7:26 ἡ δὲ γυνὴ ἦν ἑλληνίς, συροφοινίκισσα τῶ γένει· καὶ ἠρώτα αὐτὸν ἵνα τὸ δαιμόνιον ἐκβάλῃ ἐκ τῆς θυγατρὸς αὐτῆς.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 7:26 Erat enim mulier gentilis, Syrophœnissa genere. Et rogabat eum ut dæmonium ejiceret de filia ejus.(vulgate) Mar 7:26 (und es war ein griechisches Weib aus Syrophönizien), und sie bat ihn, daß er den Teufel von ihrer Tochter austriebe.(dhs) Mar 7:26 The woman was a Greek, a Syro-Phoenician by birth, and she kept asking Him to cast the demon out of her daughter.(nkjv) ======= Mark 7:27 ============ Mar 7:27 And He was saying to her, "Let the children be satisfied first, for it is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."(nasb) Mar 7:27 καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτῇ, ἄφες πρῶτον χορτασθῆναι τὰ τέκνα, οὐ γάρ ἐστιν καλὸν λαβεῖν τὸν ἄρτον τῶν τέκνων καὶ τοῖς κυναρίοις βαλεῖν.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 7:27 Qui dixit illi: Sine prius saturari filios: non est enim bonum sumere panem filiorum, et mittere canibus.(vulgate) Mar 7:27 Jesus aber sprach zu ihr: Laß zuvor die Kinder satt werden;
